Aswan has been released in the test server! Disappointingly, it is not a new town. However, it is a new type of content and it also gives you some nice stat boosts! Read past the cut for more information on this kind-of-PQ and the stats it can give! A new UI has been found within the data! Look at the end of the post for it~

A new Inkwell’s Secret Diary entry has been released! This one related to the war of  Aswan!

You can enter the map Aswan Obelisk through the Mirror of Dimension. Currently, the icon is that of the Golden Temple, as a placeholder.

Here you can talk to the NPC Gardin to begin the liberation! You can choose either solo play or party play (in party play there are two platforms instead of just one), then choose Easy Mode or Normal Mode (in Normal Mode, the monsters are stronger, and there is an addition of the Bloodtooth mob).

The Liberation of Aswan can be done at different level ranges: 40~79, 80~119, 120~159, and 160~200.

The goal of the game is to destroy Hilla’s Guardian Tower. You and your party (if you chose party play) have 10 minutes to complete this goal. If you die inside, you will respawn in 5 seconds.

Things will not be easy however! Hilla will send her army to stop you, and there is also a first tower (the Owl Tower) you must defeat to reach the second.

You do have help! The Cygnus Knights have sent you backup, in the form of the Cygnus Hastati and Cygnus Centurions! They will act similar to party members and fight alongside you!

When you win, this window will come up. After showing you the number of monsters defeated, it tells you how much Honor you would gain, then a multiplier based on your difficulty (x1 if Easy Mode, x2 if Normal Mode I guess). Then it shows your total Honor gained! I’ll talk about Honor in a little bit. You also get some Aswan Coins if you talk to Gardin after you leave! You can only get 150 coins per day though.

Then you’ll be transported to the Aswan Refuge, home to the cursed spirits of Aswan! There’s even the king of Aswan, Iason! I don’t think there are any quests right now, so I think Aswan is still unfinished. Hopefully it gets an actual town to explore…

Now, about Honor. This new system works with another new system called Inner Ability. Basically, you can level up your Honor through Liberation of Aswan. You can see your current Honor level in your ability window. Thanks to 라온 of Insoya for the image!

At certain levels, your Inner Ability will be unlocked, there are 3 slots. These can be seen in the details section of your ability window. The top part with BP and Battle Experience has been removed from the details section… does that mean the Honor system is a replacement to the BP system? Maybe, but you can still see your BP in the main ability window for now. Your first slot is unlocked at Honor level 2, and the other two slots are unlocked at Honor level 30.

Now for the details. Think of your Inner Ability as an item with potential. When you first unlock the  slot, you’ll be given random stats. What if you don’t like those stats? You can use the new Circulator item to reset them! Currently, you can buy them from Gardin for Aswan Coins, but I think this is for testing purposes only. It might be a Cash item in the real server? There’s also different ‘rank’ Circulators, ranging from 10 (cheapest) to 6 (most expensive). I don’t know what the difference is though…

You must be wondering, what stats can it give?! Well, I made a list. It’s not very detailed (e.g. levels, different values), but I’m not very clear on the system myself and I think just knowing what it can add is enough for now. If you want a full table of values, Fiel has one here~

There are some that you may not have seen before, including stat conversion. This means that it takes a value (using a percentage) of one stat but takes that number and adds it to the other stat. For example, if I had 1% STR to DEX conversion with 500 STR and 10 DEX, I would end up with 500 STR and 15 DEX. Also, a “/” means ‘or’, and when I say ‘both static and percentage’, I mean there are two different possible Inner Abilities, one that is static and one that is a percentage.

Also, I was browsing Insoya when I found something very interesting! The user 라온 found a new UI within the wz files! This UI is titled Part-time (job) and it looks like it may be a graphical update to the profession system. There is something weird though, instead of Alchemy, there is something called Relaxation. Hmm…

The new Inkwell’s Secret Diary entry has been released! It’s titled In the chaos of the battlefield, heroes are needed! The picture it titled The Aswan War, and there are three factions that can be seen, Scania, Bera, and Broa. They’re worlds…? Maybe this is the ‘world-wide content’ that was talked about for the Justice update. A red arrow means Attack, a blue arrow means Defend, and the white arrow means Anticipated Takeover. It seems sort of like a strategy game… does the Aswan Liberation War have anything to do with it? Only time will tell…
