Soul Master! Maximum power attack!!
Our first view of the newly updated Soul Master class is here! This attack seems huge… it’s probably a fourth job skill? I think it may be a charge up skill due to the fact that the sword changes colour after a while. At least it’s not a laser like Mikhail!
There were some events in the real server that I will also be going over now.
The April Maple Attendance Check King event has begun and will run from April 1 to April 14 (then again from April 15 to April 28). Each day you have to login and kill 200 monsters to be counted. Since the event lasts only 14 days, each day you miss means you will possibly miss out on the later prizes.
- 1 day: 4 Slot Use Expansion Coupon
- 3 days: 60% Chaos Scroll
- 6 days: 60% Miraculous Chaos Scroll
- 7 days: Special Potential Scroll
- 9 days: 50% Positive Chaos Scroll
- 11 days: 2 Star Equipment Enhancement Scroll
- 13 days: Lucky Day Scroll
- 14 days: 3 Miracle Circulators
I may have forgotten to mention this when Inner Ability was changed in Unlimited but when they changed the ranks from letters to rare/epic/unique/legendary, they did something really sucky.
If you have even 1 S Rank Ability before the change, after, you will have Legendary Ability. The downside is that you cannot use the regular Circulator anymore, you must buy the Miracle Circulator from the Cash Shop. Finally I can reroll my Ability to actually get something good, haha.
Like I said beforehand, there is a new event with crossovers from Mabinogi and Dungeon and Fighter, called Maple Hot Issue! It runs until April 14.
During this event, Nao, from Mabinogi, will resurrect you when you die! (Note: she doesn’t actually resurrect you, Nexon pulled an April Fools’).
Monsters will be dropping Weird Surprise Coupons, and you can trade them in for April Fools’ Day Chairs! You can get the My Friend Danjin chair for 50 coupons and the My Friend Nao chair for 80 coupons.
Finally, in the Cash Shop, there’s a new box that costs 410 NX called the April Fools’ Day Hat Box and from it you can get 1 of 5 new hats. These are all based off of Dungeon and Fighter and Mabinogi. The Seria Wig made me laugh the most, haha.

It’s a hat, you can’t wear anything over it, but its called a ‘wig’ in the name lol.

All Cash equips are permanent in kMS 😛 (except the ones that are on sale but even those last 365 days).

I dont know what to say about that skill. The charging Effect of that skill looks like Kirby and the amazing mirror when you charge with Master’s Sword.

What’s Dungeon and what’s Fighter? I’ve heard of Dungeon Fighter but not those two…
‘Dungeon and Fighter’ is the Korean name for Dungeon Fighter Online.

I think that the Soul Master uses two-handed swords because the sword that is used before the skill charged up is the two-handed version of the Timeless Sword. 😛
If this is true, now we wait for Kaisers to transfer their swords..
Soul master isn’t a new class, it’s the KMS name for Dawn warrior… They can use both 1 handed and 2 handed swords.
I think it’s a bit too big for a fourth job…. maybe a hyper skill? Or if it is a fourth job, I think it will probably be their ulitmate.
Turning a sword into a giant unstoppable force of pure energy? I know I’ve seen it somewhere before. Something like a sword that cuts the heavens in two, or rather, a “Star Cleaving Sword”. Oh yeah!

Clearly, there is nothing a Soul Master’s blade cannot cut.
Inb4 the revamp includes a sworderang and excessive amounts of manliness. Bonus points if Soul Master wears a fundoshi and yells CHESUTOOOOO while performing attacks. If that were to be the case, I’d have to start throwing money at Nexon.

I don’t know what is happening in MapleSEA here. The patch rate is extremely slow!!! And the worst thing is, the MapleSEA liscened distributor, Asiasoft had trolled all Maplers in SEA by posting Tempest pictures for MapleSEA at 1 April and removed it at 2 April! I wish I can read Korean and join you all in KMST. T_T

I have a question about your Warrior, Magician, and Mikhail Hyper Skills post. In it somewhere, you said that skill books and mastery books were being sold for adventurers in the cash shop. Considering that GMS follows KMS, it should be reasonable that GMS should implement the books in the cash shop as well. However, we received the update but no books on sale. I looked around forums and other MS bloggers about the books but with no information making me question if KMS did add books to the cash shop.
You didn’t ask a question :S But yes, they were in the Cash Shop, I am sure of it.

The skill does look epic, but I’m not a supporter of the effects having tints of purple. It does nothing to make a DW look what it was meant to be. Just a male AB looking skill.

Gurl, charge skills aint never not no good idea for maplestory. You lose out on so much dps while you have to hold shet down. If Soul Master is really gonna be Charge Master, you can count me OUT!
