MapleStory 2 – Perion Concept Art & kMSt ver. 1.2.512 – Star Planet Changes!
On the MapleStory 2 homepage, yesterday they released Perion concept art! I think it looks very cool, you can see specific details they are planning such as cloud platforms that disappear if you stand on them too long. I hope we get more of these for the other towns!
For MapleStory, a Tespia patch was released, with some changes to Star Planet and Mileage.
There were some changes to Star Planet in this patch. First of all, they added two new minigames: Star Omok (2 people) and Go! Mesorangers! (3~5 people). These games are not competitive like the other six, so they do not have rankings.
Now, when you enter Star Planet, your name will be changed to the character you have chosen to be your Star Planet candidate character.
The bulletin board in Star Planet’s centre square has been replaced by the Star Planet Top Ranking. This shows the top 100 people who have earned the most Star Points on that day (it used to only show the top 10 i.e. the Shining Stars).
They have also added a similar ranking, except for the minigame points, in the Star Game Station. You can now become a Shining Star by being in the top 10 of the overall rankings or being in the top 3 of the game rankings.
They added in a bunch of prizes based on your Star Grade, including action books, mounts, and even ways to customize minigames! You can choose different characters in Maple Yutnori, use different cards in One Card (such as Slimes and Mushrooms), and change the effects in Typing Defense.
Mileage from minigames has been changed slightly. For 1-player games, you get more Mileage based on your score but in games with more than 1 player, you get a higher flat amount (as opposed to scaling). Also, if you continuously play a game in one day, your Mileage rewards will be decreased.
Mileage in general has also been updated! Previously, Mileage could only be used to offset 30% of a Cash item’s cost (except in the Mileage Shop where you could buy things with only Mileage). However, they have now changed it that you can buy any Cash items with 100% Mileage!! This does not work in some categories though, such as beauty coupons and cubes (which will still have the old 30% discount maximum).

Are you really that ignorant. Minecraft wasn’t the first game with cubes in it. Seriously play other games for once. Roblox and Qbert and others came first. Stop calling it a minecraft clone. It’s nothing like minecraft. Minecraft is not even an mmorpg. It’s a sandbox game that isn’t even online. Unless you choose to go on a public server. Seriously, real annoying now that people call it minecraft. yet they don’t even know what the hell they are talking about.
He’s not ignorant. If anything, you’re the one that’s ignorant, and quite frankly you look stupid too. Neither Roblox or Qbert have square floating clouds, a sky dimension with grass, dirt, sand, stone.. Not to mention ladders, fences, mushrooms, the skulls lying about, trap doors, and other such things that would populate a Minecraft world but not Qbert or Roblox. Also, Qbert and Roblox are hardly even close to a fraction of the popularity of Minecraft. It’s nigh-everywhere.
If you think this isn’t a well-played reference to get some of the Minecraft players interested, then you’re lying to your own face, or simply can’t put two and two together. Nexon has a history of using other games as tools to improve or change their plans. Diablo 3 is one of them. Think what you will, but the chances that you’re right is slim to none. And don’t use that to put others down, either, because it just makes you look worse.
Those are pretty generic things that you can see in any other games, the traps, fences, skulls and etc i mean. But he is right Minecraft was not the first game to have a world consisting of cubes(Hint: Voxel Graphic Games), hell the core concept of minecraft and it’s world can pretty much be called a clone of infiniminer in a sense. Yea it sounds like game that would copy minecraft but it’s actually the other way around.
First of all you just proved my point lmao. You just stated that Qbert and Roblox are nothing like Minecraft except the cubic voxels. Which is correct. It’s the most popular game that has cubes in it but that shouldn’t be the reason why we call this a minecraft copy. FYI I highly doubt minecraft is as popular in Korea than it is in the U.S. Please learn that NA=/=Korea and the way NA runs games is different than Koreadoes. That’s another stupid thing people tend to do. They automatically think that Korea=NA and w/e ways NA decides to make there games must be the sole reason for Korea. Again quit being dumb okay. One, I never stated Minecraft wasn’t a clone of something else, nor did I say it was the first of it’s kind. Infiniminer had it’s development stopped and made open source. Notch used that open source code to create Minecraft. Most people forget that, or specifically not include it to make their statements look correct even though they aren’t.
MS2 is not Minecraft, it won’t be. Never will. I never said it would, nor did the original poster. What I find hilarious is that you jumped his ass about calling it a Minecraft clon and then went on stating information like Minecraft not being the first block-type game, which isn’t relevant whatsoever.
All he stated was that it looked visually similar to Minecraft moreso than it did beforehand. That is an opinion. That means he cannot be proven wrong or right. The fact that the concept art has many similar aspects to a skyland world in Minecraft, as popular as it is, makes his opinion viable and legit.
Minecraft could be a turn-based RTS, a 3D platformer, an FPS, an RPG, whatever. It wouldn’t change a single thing about the concept art being visually similar to Minecraft, a very popular game worldwide, not just in North America. It was started in Sweden and has a huge following everywhere. Maybe you should do research yourself before assuming the world revolves around the US.

Like w/ NSMBWii, they added the switch blocks and Yoshi, but then they went and made it so that Yoshi doesn't carry over to the world map, and that the switch blocks are able to be switched BACK OFF </3
Stupid inconsistency. The Super Leaf is supposed to turn him into RACOON Mario. Tanuki Mario is supposed to be the "special" form that can turn statue, not the white tankuki bs, yeah, its RACOON Mario that's supposed to have tanuki Mario's current powers, and TANUKI Mario is supposed to have the WHITE tankuki's powers!
Ice Mario has TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SETS OF POWERS AND APPEARANCE, yet has the same name AND power up in BOTH forms (though the second one's abilities make FAR MORE SENSE tbh)
and they have like, what, FIVE flight abilities now?
Cape, Racoon, Flight, Balloon, Wing Cap, Flying Squirrel, P-Wing, Yoshi Wing, Blue Yoshi, Hover Nozzle, and I think im probably MISSING a few AND I named 2x my estimate!
Most of which have the same, similar mechanics if not controls. (Cape is raccoon with a few xtra bells and whistles and a COMPLETELY different control scheme)

Was Mileage introduced while RED was happening, right Max? GMS has not given us that…
Yep, Mileage as a 30% discount was released in the RED patch. Then in You&I they added the Mileage shop which had certain items on sale (including Cubes, equipment, and pets) for 100% Mileage.
Ahh.. Well I guess we are not getting it… Like the auction house or “better support sytem” that RED promise kms. How is are those things doing?
I love the auction house, it’s such a great way to sell off anything extra you have (I have made a lot of money selling off extra boss items from the newest patch). It’s also sooo convenient to buy items you need, especially if its use/etc since you can buy in bulk at the average price.
Ironic how Nexon decides to not let you buy the only thing that truly makes sense to be bought with mileage, cubes. GG Nexon.
