kMSt ver. 1.2.406 – Resistance, Aran, and Evan Reorganization!

Part one of the series of reorganization patches has been released to Tespia! The Resistance, Aran, and Evan’s skills were changed. That’s not all, there’s also an Ellin Forest expansion!

Read on for skill changes and the other new things added in this patch!

All skill values are from the max level. Some skills are a bit weird, like giving 8 critical damage. I’m assuming this means percent, but they forgot it when they were adding it in. Since I’m not sure, I just left those without the % sign.

Battle Mage

  • Aura skill effects have been renewed
  • Aura skills can now be overlapped
  • The range of the Blow skills has been increased

First Job

  • Triple Blow: damage has been increased from 105% to 130%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Finish Attack: damage has been increased from 340% to 380% (510% at second job, 660% at third job, 840% at fourth job), 20% defense is ignored when attacking (25% at second job, 30% at third job, 35% at fourth job), number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8

Second Job

  • NEW SKILL: High Wisdom: increases intelligence by 40 (max level: 10)
  • Quad Blow: damage has been increased from 110% to 135%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Dark Chain: damage has been increased from 310% to 410%, stun time has been increased from 4 seconds to 6 seconds, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • MOVED SKILL: Blue Aura

Third Job

  • NEW SKILL: Blue Aura: increases defense by 40%, HP by 250, 30% damage is distributed among the party, 20% of the distributed damage is absorbed (max level: 20)
  • NEW SKILL: Advanced Dark Aura: increases the damage boost of Dark Aura by 20%, continuously deals 100% damage per second to monsters nearby when using Dark Aura, increases magic attack by 30 (max level: 10, pre-requisite: 20 Dark Aura)
  • NEW SKILL: Stance: 90% chance of not being knocked back by an enemy’s attack, lasts 300 seconds (max level: 10)
  • Death Blow: damage has been increased from 115% to 140%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Dark Lightning: damage has been increased from 1000% to 1040%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Conversion: skill duration has been increased from 120 seconds to 180 seconds
  • MOVED SKILL: Advanced Blue Aura
  • DELETED SKILL: Advanced Dark Chain

Fourth Job

  • NEW SKILL: Advanced Blue Aura: increases Blue Aura’s damage absorbption by 5%, increases party’s defense by 90%, passively increases status and elemental resistance by 30% (max level: 30, pre-requisite: 20 Blue Aura)
  • Energize: increases HP and MP by 30%, and defense and magic defense by 450%, max level has been increased from 10 to 30
  • Finish Blow: damage has been increased from 145% to 180%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Cyclone: speed and attacking speed have been increased, damage has been decreased from 1000% to 600%
  • Dark Genesis: damage has been increased from 1800% to 2000%
  • MOVED SKILL: Stance
  • MOVED SKILL: Advanced Dark Aura

Wild Hunter

  • The jaguar’s range of picking up items has been increased
  • A new jaguar species has been added, it is obtainable if you complete the new ‘Awakening of the Union’ quests

First Job

  • Triple Shot: damage has been increased from 93% to 120%, attacking speed has been increased
  • Jaguar Riding: now increases critical damage by 8
  • Double Jump: distance moved has been increased

Second Job

  • NEW SKILL: Physical Training: increases strength and dexterity by 30 (max level: 10)
  • Bomb Shot: damage has been increased from 310% to 360%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Jaguar Roar: damage has been increased from 230% to 280%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Swallow: max level decreased from 20 to 10 (800% damage to 6 monsters, 90 second buff duration when swallowed)

Third Job

  • NEW SKILL: Beast Form: increases HP by 80%, attack by 20%, and speed by 15 for 120 seconds (max level: 30)
  • Wild Shot: damage increased from 144% to 184%
  • Blind: now decreases enemy’s defense by 50, max level has been decreased from 20 to 10 (for 160 seconds, 30% chance to reduce an enemy’s accuracy by 20% for 10 seconds, decreases enemy’s defense by 50)
  • Claw Cut: damage has been increased from 190% to 300%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8

Fourth Job

  • NEW SKILL: Advanced Final Attack: increases attack by 20 and accuracy by 10%, there is a 70% chance of activating Final Attack for 210% damage (max level: 30, pre-requisite: 20 Final Attack)
  • Flash Rain: damage has been increased from 100% to 180%, now has a 100% chance to stun
  • Sonic Boom: damage has been increased from 850% to 950%
  • Chemical Shell: no longer increases a monster’s defense, max level has been decreased from 20 to 10 (increase the exp a monster gives by 40%)
  • Wild Vulcan: damage has been increased from 220% to 270%
  • MOVED SKILL: Beast Form

Mechanic

First Job

  • Flame Launcher: max usage time has been increased from 8 seconds to 12 seconds, damage has been increased from 70% to 80%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Metal Armor: Prototype: now increases speed by 20
  • Drill Rush: damage has been increased from 150% to 180%
  • Gatling Shot: damage has been increased from 70% to 80%

Second Job

  • Mechanic Mastery: now increases critical chance by 10%
  • Atomic Hammer: damage has been increased from 430% to 460%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Rocket Booster: damage has been increased from 160% to 200%

Third Job

  • Satellite: damage has been increased from 210% to 240%
  • Metal Armor: Heavy Machine Gun: skill can now be toggled On or Off, cooldown has been removed
  • Rocket Punch: damage has been increased from 570% to 640%, number of monsters hit is now 6 at all levels

Fourth Job

  • War Machine: Titan: damage has been increased from 1250% to 1440%
  • Metal Armor: Missile Tank: damage has been increased from 100% to 120%
  • Laser Blast: damage has been increased from 360% to 500%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8
  • Metal Armor: Heavy Machine Gun: damage has been increased from 95% to 115%

 

Aran

  • The range of the Swing skills has been increased
  • The amount of time before a Combo disappears has been increased

First Job

  • Combo Ability: attack boost of 2 per 10 combo has been increased to 3
  • Double Swing: damage has been increased from 220% to 250%
  • Combo Smash: damage has been increased from 450% to 480%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8

Second Job

  • NEW SKILL: Final Attack: there is an 80% chance to activate a 200% damage Final Attack (max level: 20, pre-requisite: 3 Weapon Mastery)
  • Polearm Mastery: now increases attacking speed by 1
  • Triple Swing: damage has been increased from 370% to 500%
  • Final Charge: damage has been increased from 200% to 230%, now has a 30% chance to inflict 10 second stun, number of monsters hit has been increased from 7 to 10
  • Combo Drain: skill duration time has been decreased from 240 seconds to 150 seconds, HP recovery per hit has been increased from 5% to 10%, maximum HP able to be recovered has been increased from 10% to 20%, max level has been decreased from 20 to 10 (for 150 seconds, 10% of your damage will be used to recover HP)
  • Combo Fenrir: damage has been increased from 430% to 480%
  • Body Pressure: damage has been increased from 300% to 400%
  • Snow Charge: max level has been decreased from 20 to 10 (35% damage increase, gives the ice element for 200 seconds, decreases an enemy’s attacking speed by 40 for 20 seconds)

Third Job

  • NEW SKILL: Blessing Maha: increase the party’s defense and magic defense by 50 for 100 seconds (max level: 10)
  • Full Swing: damage boost of Triple Swing has been increased from 540% to 570%
  • Final Toss: damage has been increased from 350% to 400%
  • Rolling Spin: damage has been increased from 110% to 160%
  • Cleaving Attack: shared damage reduction has been removed, defense ignored has been increased from 25% to 40%, now increases damage by 20% when fighting a boss, max level has been decreased from 20 to 10 (ignore 40% of a monster’s defense, increase damage by 20% when fighting a boss)
  • Combo Judgement: damage has been increased from 500% to 550%

Fourth Job

  • NEW SKILL: Advanced Final Attack: increases attack by 20 and accuracy by 10%, there is a 70% chance of activating Final Attack for 210% damage (max level: 30, pre-requisite: 20 Final Attack)
  • High Mastery: critical chance boost has been decreased from 15% to 10%, max level has been decreased from 30 to 20 (70% mastery over the polearm, increases attack by 30,  increases critical chance by 10%)
  • Over Swing: Double Swing’s attack boost has been increased from 360% to 400%, Triple Swing’s attack boost has been increased from 450% to 490%
  • High Defense: now increases HP by 20%, max level has been decreased from 30 to 20 (decreases damage by 20%, increases HP by 20%)
  • Final Blow: damage has been increased from 282% to 355%
  • Combo Tempest: damage has been increased from 720% to 790%
  • Combo Barrier: now increases party’s defense and magic defense by 60
  • Swift Move: Final Charge and Final Toss’ damage boosts have been increased from 50% to 60%
  • Freeze Standing: max level has been decreased from 30 to 20 (decreases chance of getting knocked back by 90% for 300 seconds)

 

Evan


  • Dragon Flight skill has been added
  • All attacking skills’ attacking speed have been increased

First Growth

  • Dragon Soul: attacking speed boost has been increased from 1 to 2, now increases speed by 10
  • Magic Missile: damage has been increased from 145% to 190%

Second Growth

  • Fire Circle: damage has been increased from 220% to 280%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 4 to 6

Third Growth

  • Lightning Bolt: damage has been increased from 280% to 340%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 3 to 8
  • Magic Guard: now decreases damage taken by 10%

Fourth Growth

  • Spell Mastery: now increases critical chance by 10%
  • Ice Breath: damage has been increased from 410% to 470%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8

Fifth Growth

  • Magic Flare: damage has been increased from 430% to 510%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 1 to 8
  • Magic Shield: damage reduction has been decreased from 30% to 10%, now passively increases your own defense by 15 and your own HP by 10

Sixth Growth

  • Critical Magic: now increases minimum critical damage by 15
  • Dragon Thrust: damage has been increased from 140% to 200%, chance to knock a monster back has been increased from 95% to 100%

Seventh Growth

  • Magic Amplification: MP usage and magic attacking skills’ boosts have been increased from 135% to 150%
  • Breath: damage has been increased from 610% to 700%
  • Killing Wing: damage has been increased from 450% t0 500%
  • Magic Resistance: now increases magic defense by 40

Eighth Growth

  • Dragon Fury: now activated whenever MP is above 60%
  • Earthquake: damage has been increased from 640% to 720%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 8 to 10
  • Ghost Lettering: damage has been increased from 400% to 440%
  • Recovery Aura: now regenerates HP as well

Ninth Growth

  • Illusion: damage has been increased from 190% to 380%, now has a 40% chance to stun
  • Flame Wheel: damage has been increased from 265% to 390%, now inflicts DoT for 25 seconds, number of monsters hit has been increased from 8 to 10

Tenth Growth

  • Blaze: damage has been increased from 285% to 420%, chance to stun has been increased from 90% to 100%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 1 to 8
  • Dark Fog: damage has been increased from 1950% to 2100%

Ellin Forest has been reorganized! As you can see, it now has a world map! There is also a questline now, where Spiegelmann sends you to investigate the mysterious area and you end up helping Helena to protect the Altaire Camp!

 

 

There are a couple of new monsters, as well as two new bosses~ The one on the left is called Chow, and the one on the right is called the Fairy Queen, Epineah! She drops Epineah’s Ring, which gives 2 to all stats, 50 HP and MP, 45 defense and magic defense, 1 attack and magic attack, and 15 accuracy and avoid (level 105, untradeable).

You can get the Ellin Forest’s Guardian medal from finishing this quest line, which gives 4 to all stats, 160 HP and MP, 90 defense and magic defense, 1 attack and magic attack, 40 accuracy and avoid, 7 speed, and 1 PvP damage.

    

The Maple Union (which I previously called Maple Alliance, the word can be translated both ways but a romanized item confirms it is union) quests have been expanded on~  There are now quests from level 15 to 74, after which you join the Union!

Battle Mages, Wild Hunters, Mechanics, Aran, and Evan can do a special set of quests to get the above weapons. They give (in order): 105 magic attack, 93 attack, 70 attack, 97 attack, and 105 magic attack. They’re all level 75 and they have 7 slots.

Also, for those of you who lag a lot, they’ve also added in an option to change the quality of skill effects!

As for the Cash Shop, there are three new things. The first is the new Pink Bean pet which is now on sale, it’s a multipet too. Then there’s the Wing Master Orca set, which you might want to get if you’re a Black Wings fan. Finally, there’s a new type of shop!

It’s the Old Lady Stand, and it acts just like a regular hired merchant except for one difference.

There’s a new tab called Buying, and the shop owner can search up, then list any items they want to buy. You input the amount you want to buy and how much you want to buy it for, and the money is automatically taken away from your inventory. Then, shop goers can enter your shop, and sell you the item without you having to find/trade them! When you close your shop, you’ll receive the items you have bought this way.

You can see in this shop, the owner wants to buy 1 Red Potion for 99 mesos.

P.S. I got my Crow hair, along with a new outfit!

    Also, you forgot to add that Blaze skill of Evans attacks 8 monsters now.

    I’m sad Magic shield is now a passive skill.

      wild hunters’ hurricane hits for more damage, more shots per second, AND they can move around while doing it. corsairs and bow masters also have a rapid fire skills. why dont you take a look at all the damage formulas before bitching about mechs and making yourself look like a jackass.

      Well there is this guy, who as you can see has taken screenshots of every single quest chat as well as of his progress. If he posts a storyline, it would be really easy to just translate it xD

    Say, for my BaM, if I spent a lot of mesos to get lvl 30 Advanced Dark Aura, and now the skill is being movied to 3rd Job… Will my SP be moved to a lvl 30 Advanced Blue Aura or something, so I save some mesos?

    I know they’ve transfered SP and given some free Skill Books in the past, I’m just wondering if they’re gonna do it for this, too. :O

      Looking at Fiel’s extractions, Advanced Blue Aura is an entirely new skill and Advanced Dark Aura was deleted, so I think you’re just gonna get the 30 SP back into your pool.

      Also looking at Fiel’s extractions, there are 100% mastery books for all the revamped classes. So I guess the Ascension/Jump event of us choosing a 100% mastery book will repeat. No wasting your meso.

    I’m disappointed.
    if they going to add it in during Thief and Pirate Revamp fine.
    At least give Mechanics the skill that gives +30 Str and Dex like Cannon Shooter.

    Max can you explain what the Dragon Flight skill for Evan is actually?
    I’m still confused on what it is. Do Evans ride on Mir and attack like WH?

      There’s no like skill description so I can’t say, but I think it has something to do with gliding… (sort of like Demon Slayers? They did use the Demon Jump skill icon as a place holder)

        Speaking of Demon Slayers since they have skills that sue HP does that mean we can die from using a skill? If we were to mass spam the skill so we go down to 0 HP or do we stop at 1 hp?

          If you get hit while doing the skill, your HP will go down more. But If your distanced, your HP won’t drop to 0 because your going to end up using all your Demon Force instead of having 0 HP but your HP will still go down.

          You will be prompted that you do not have enough HP to use the skill, it’s the same as the not enough MP message.

          This means that you are unable to use the skill that requires that much of HP, it is possible to drop your HP to 1 coincidentally but you cant die from spending 16 HP when you only have 16 left (you can’t use the skill at all).

    wait… lemme get this straight… you can use all 3 auras at once?!

    Also, this makes me wonder what they’ll do for UAs, CKs and The first 3 (warrior, mage and bowman)? Will the warriors get stance on 3rd job like how they’re giving it to BaMs at 3rd job? But then again, Arans aren’t getting stance-like effects on 3rd job…

    Also, what is this “Dragon Flight”?

      Dragon Flight I think is the same as Demon Slayer’s glide. Since on the extractions, Dragon Flight used Demon Slayer’s Demon Jump Icon which you are able to glide in the map.

          How do you know Legend will be released in December? There’s 3 Parts in Legend. Plus, everytime gMS releases a big patch, they always have server maintenances and bug fixes and patches. Us we don’t. Ascension was released in September. You expect to have Legend in 3 months? It took us around 4-5 months till we had the whole Legend Patch.

    It’ll probably be the same as when people hacked to get all 3 auras. Only the first aura would get the buff..

      Well basically, Evans have a lot of Flame/Fire Type Skills. And mostly dragons have a flame breath which is a common type so yeah..I think that’s why It’s only called Breath.

      Notice the miniscule damage increase versus other classes and even your other skills, when mech is considered balanced already. Its basically going to put you on par with other classes. You’re just a bit more like sairs now. They didn’t think it was gay. They were jizzing in their pants like Max on Shakar96.

        Incase you didn’t notice how mechs are now, that miniscule damage increase gets X6 and 100% crit. However I read from the extractions that siege mode uses mp now so they’ll be more like bowmasters/wildhunters. (they’ll still have to cancel every 100 shots unless pivoting counts as moving)

        Also try to find a siege mode hack vid against zak to see how cheap this is.

      No. KMS is actually balancing. All classes are getting buffed. You’re going to be around where DS is, not way above. If that doesn’t happen, they’ll inevitably buff them again. Way too much again. And have to revamp all of the classes. Again.

    Personally, I think the Battle Mage has gotten a lot better! They get to hit more monsters, do more damage, and use power stance in third job! IMO, the only thing bad was that Advanced Dark Chains was removed

    BaM are missing 10 SP from 4th job, since Stance and ADA take up 60 SP total, but ABA and Energize change use 50 SP. I’m not saying they take up 60 because energize already has 10 SP in it before the update. WHERE DOES IT GO?

      Usually Battle Mages has 4 SP missing at lvl 200 to be maxed in all skills.
      I guess that you put the 10 missing SP like this:
      4 SP- maxing all skills
      6- putting in 2nd or 3rd job skills

    Wow, nice changes! Personally I like the Mechanic changes, because I’m a lvl 127 Mech in GMS. Especially the Siege Mode which is now a toggle On/Off skill :). I hope they will come soon after the Legend update of course! (And other nice updates)

    Yes!!! I absolutely love the changes to Battle Mage! The movement of skills is a tad strange, but it won’t bother since my Battle Mage is past 130. The Blue Aura changes are great! I’m majorly hoping that we won’t get 1hko’d by 1/1’s since that really never made sense to begin with. I don’t care for the switching of Adv. Dark Aura and Adv. Blue Aura, but at least Adv. Blue Aura is probably going to be a cheaper Mastery Book. I’m still very much satisfied with the Aura changes. The upgrades for the Blow attacks are nice, but I never really considered damage to be a Battle Mage’s problem since it is more of a support class to me. And I am seriously loving the massive ramping for Energize! +30% Max HP/MP (formerly +20%) and +450% Weapon/Magic Defense (formerly +150%) is a trade I would make any day, even if I had to throw an extra 20 SP in. I hope Battle Mage’s only future changes are in damage infliction, their defensive capabilities are absolutely beautiful right now.

    Parting words: THAT STANCE IS OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Everyone here seems to be assuming it’s the former, but I won’t listen to that since they’re 99% chance not KMS players (and thus why they visit here).

      If you’re going to say that it means that “Multiple Auras can be active so long as there are multiple BaM’s with different ones on”, that it would be pointless to post it since it is like that already. And why would you have the animations stack without the effects? That would be a huge waste in coding effort. To me, the only logical explanation is that one BaM can have multiple Auras active.

          I doubt that. As cool as that would be, it would make Battle Mages very easily OP. It would be a lot smarter and fairer to keep it limited to one like now. How they might figure that to work I don’t know. But I guarantee Super Body is going to get changed to accommodate the new Auras.

            And how does not having all three auras activated not make Battle Mages slightly more unfair? It’s a general boost to to just about all capabilities if we get to have all of them active: Enhanced attack (and area-based DoT) and attack speed, enhanced defense, enhanced movement (which we’re already good for because of Teleport).

            Maybe I’m being too optimistic of Nexon’s balancing efforts, but being able to stack all three auras’ effects from one caster is already pretty stacked compared to the previous Auras where you had to take a tradeoff (speed vs damage vs defense).

            A huge waste in coding effort? What, to add possibly just a few images and a few lines of code to make a smooth animation? If a GIF image can handle the effect-stacking then that’s nothing compared to programming an entire class’ skill set.

            Battle Mages don’t exactly have much HP/MP, and the extra 10% isn’t going to make a ground-breaking difference. Sure, they get a nice buff from having all 3 Auras simultaneously active, but what about the fact that they’re competing with Demon Slayers, and (soon to be revamped) Warriors? They’re going to need the boost if they want to keep up. Even with all 3 Auras on right now in GMS, my Battle Mage would still pale in comparison to my Dark Knight or Hero. The new Aura system is hardly stacked.

            What you’re talking about is adding the animation of having all 3 Auras, yet only having 1 Aura active. Uhm…how is that NOT a waste in coding? Why spend the time to add irrelevant animations when you can either A. Not add them at all, or B. Add Aura overlapping, savvy?

    As much as I like my new attacking speed, my pot usage just doubled when they nerfed Dragon Fury’s range. Oh well. Mobbing an entire screen with mini-Genesis will SOMEHOW make up for that. Hee hee hee.

      Aran doesn’t need anymore mobility. You forget that Aran is a Warrior, and Warriors have no mobility. It’s a serious stretch as it is, and their only justification is because they need to move quickly to keep their Combo up (which is not even a problem anymore). Now that they can FREELY SPAM their Rush-like skill, it would be excessively stupid to give them more mobile attacks. Arans got a fair upgrade.

        I agree. The only problem you ever had with combo was moving across an ENTIRE map, and even then, you shouldn’t be spamming your combo skill every 30 seconds. Just use it when your combo’s about to go out. You literally never have a problem. Now that the clock lasts longer, we’ll really have no problem.

        I like our upgrade. Also, we got a free +30 att. as well as many good damage increases. We also just became gods of survivability. We can tank hits from Akryum, although it would still be huge potburn, most likely. Maybe not with the drain buff, if you’re godly funded.

      thats 85% like magicians but 5% more and 10% damage lower means u take 90dmg insteaded of 100. hope it helps 😉

    They should make a cool name for this update, instead of calling it ambiguous terms such as “The Resistance, Aran, and Evan Update” or the “Reorganize Everything Update” or the “Screw it, Let’s Mess Up Maple Again Update”. It’s really hard to search up videos for it this way, especially since I can’t read Korean. :/

      Im pretty sure the warrior balance patch came to tespia before they announced the name of Jump…and same thing with cannon shooters and legend. hopefully they’ll do the same.
