Seems like the Dual Blader will be making his comeback this month! I wonder what will be changed about him, other than skills of course! I’m calling the 23rd as the patch date.

Other than Sudden Raid and Karma, Dual Blader received almost no new skills. I think this update will give them new attacks and things like that 😛
He did in Chaos and a little one with the Pirate&Thiet Revamp. But the last one wasn’t very big. I think they are just doing it to add it in the game again, since it has been gone already for a long time.
i wish its not only his back to create character window ,other classes got better revamps than DB.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the dual blades’ back story tied into the Black Mage’s appearance in Maple World. I hope Nexon doesn’t disappoint.

hey for all you know it could be db nerfs ^.^ damn straight nexon kicking dbs when they’re down well not really but what ever…. I don’t really see why they would need a revamp they are already decent as it is…
exactly. DBs didnt need to be revamped. how many times have they gotten new skills/skill revamps now? and they aren’t exactly the worst at dealing damage. Nexon needs to revamp Bishops and the old Resistance classes (mechanic, bam, wild hunter). They deserve skill revamps way more than dbs.
I think Bishops had their fun. They were way too overpowered, and for over half the time MS has been out, they’ve been Gen. spamming totally deserved.
ok so mages on average being close to bottom dps mainly because all of them, except evans, lack a 1v1 dps move and have the lowest weapon mod in the game making there ranges way lower then every other class… but its ok to suck?… because for the fraction of the time 4th job has been out to the nerf of ultimates, they could kill everything on a map? and still had the worst 1v1 dps. oh and 4th job to the time of nerf was only 2 years, a little less too, in gms. and good old gms has been out for going on 7 years yep thats over half… forgetting to mention that getting to 120 pre bb wasnt exactly the lol can do it in less then a week thing it is now…
Mechanic and Battle Mage are both predominantly supportive classes. Battle Mages got their Auras ramped and…I don’t really know (nor care) what Mechs got as a buff. They’re not prime DPS/DPM classes for a reason. Seeing as how I’m GMS, I don’t know what we’re getting. I know on paper what we’re getting, but I don’t know how it will feel in game, although I doubt it will disappoint me on my Battle Mage. Same deal with Bishops, they’re supportive. Something nobody is taking into consideration is that SOMEONE has to be on the bottom of the damage charts, and those people should be the supportive classes (Battle Mages, Mechs, Bishops…); don’t pick supportive classes and expect to be high on the damage charts. If you want damage, pick an aggressive class. If they’re going to do anything for the supportives, they’re should give more supportive ability (i.e. give Holy Shield back to Bishops). But they can’t do too much to “revamp” Bishops and such, not at least by my thought processes. Anywho, Dual Blades are only getting a revamp because they’re temporarily returning to KMS, and again for all we know, Dual Blades might get the nerf bat to the face…
idk where you got the idea the mechs and bams are a support class but you should let that stupid idea of yours go. the only thing bams have for support are there auras and how far they go and how long they last makes it near useless to anyone the isnt the bam. as for mech the only this they have for a support is a 20% dmg buff they dont get till 150+ and a near useless heal bot that is worthless outside of pvp…
yes ill give you the fact bishops are a support class but not by much… in any other game the priest would have all or most of the party buffs… in this game almost everyone has some form of party buff making everyone in this game a support class. thats not really a valid excuse to not buff a class in a game where everyone can be support in some way…
I recommend you quit now before you say some else that’s as incredibly stupid as your last post. Mechs not support? Huh? Heal bots? Set-up teleporters? Must be some NEW kind of aggro strategy! Healing and aiding maneuverability are new forms of aggro skills, you guys! Albeit Mech lacks as much support as Bishop, the class simply isn’t designed to inflict massive damage in such that a Hero is, such is signified by the mobbing/mobility combined with weak damage. I suppose Blue Aura and Yellow Aura are aggro too, huh? That’s right, defense and avoidability/speed buffs are aggro, sorry, my bad. Lemme guess, Party Shield isn’t supportive? Huh, I never knew that a skill that made an area a 30 second safety zone was NOT supportive. Battle Mage has weak damage, but can mob and can support a party, thus, supportive.
So Heal, DIspel, Doom, Mystic Door, Holy Symbol, Shell, Bless, and Res are ALL aggro skills too? Wow, I never knew so many skills were SO aggressive. I mean, RESURRECTION IS JUST SO OFFENSIVE IT MAKES ME BLEED JUST IMAGINING IT. Face it, Bishops are supportive to the core, whether you can accept that or not is inconsequential.
Don’t bother saying that “everyone can be support in some way” because that’s pure ignorance. Are you going to tell me now that Hero/Merc/Arch Mage/Shadower/Night Lord is supportive?
Bowmaster, Marksman, Arch Mage (I/L and F/P), Hero, Night Lord, Shadower, Blade Master, Corsair, KoC’s, Aran, and Merc all have “party buffs”, and even though they have party buffs, they can’t be classified in any way as supportive because they are ALL aggro-type classes, while Bishop, Battle Mage, and Mechanic are supportive because they have SUPPORTIVE SKILLS; thus, only certain classes are supportive whilst others are aggro. You beg to differ? Come at me, bro.

Your hope is in vain. The post even says it’s the Dual Blades. If it was the Thief Resistance class, it would be an entirely different class.

If that were the case, the diary entry wouldn’t be titled “He’s back!”, but rather “He’s coming!”.
Well, for all we know, the thief resistance could have been captured and could have an awesome new story behind him…. All we gotta do is wait.
Db is cool and all but they just got revamped and already has alot of skills..IMO other classes need a revamp way more since DB already had a chance to overpower until legend so this revamp is kind dumb to me. BUT ITS JUST IMO 😛 haha
They got revamped in chaos
~6 months later~ legends, nerfed to one of the weakest classes
~12 months later~ got their ultimate back, an attack buff, 10% more hp and a nerfed venom. The classes below them got buffed up above them so they are the weakest class.
~13 months after chaos~ 1 year from their only actually buff and being the weakest class. Sounds completely fair

😀 My main is a Dual Blade. I hope there’s some sort of revamp, although I’m scared that they might do something along the lines of what happened to Buccs and Slingers, and I really didn’t like those changes, so fingers crossed over here.

I’m not normally against new content, but I hate the DB revamp already. It buffs a pay to play class, giving players one more way to bribe their way to victory.
Nexon should start by taking all skill and mastery books, and getting rid of them completely. That includes cash shop books. Making ALL classes free to play is the first step to any real balancing patch.
It can’t be pay to play anymore if they can get their books from MMB now.

hmm… i hope they improve him in 3rd job. Flying assaulter is good and all, but its such a pain in some maps! i found out that i barley use it unless its on a flat platform. i hope they have a better stationary skill that has a reasonable dps (not SUPER godly, but at least fast enough like SB for dits).
And, i hope, that this patch also will edit shadowers. I was looking at the new skills, and without pot/good mobbing skill, were at a disadvantage. the rush-mob skill is great (really needed it), but like flying assaulter, it can be an very annoying skill to use; especially when we just want to be stationary for a bit. so im hoping they add back in BoT so we can combo the rush skill + bot in third job.
but chances are, it wont happened because im posititve the new rushskill for shads were mainly there to completely bs and ME. but BoT was such agreat skill -_-.
yea flying assulter is a pain in the @ss in ludi, captains and almost all the good training locations
:O I love Flying Assaulter, it’s my favourite DB skill! It just wouldn’t be the same without it! And yes, I do include 4th job skills in that mix.

I wonder if they’ll change the storyline. I seriously think they should just merge the option to be a DB into the Explorer 2nd Job Advancement.
That wouldn’t work, due to the job advancement at 20. I mean they might be able to fuse the jobs into various combinations but I see it as unlikely.
they could easily rework the skills so they have 4 jobs advancements instead of 6, if nexon really wanted to. all they have to do is just have to copy the skill tabs from other classes and murder, aka change/move, there skills (shouldn’t be to hard if this really is a revamp)

You guys it’s Dual Blade not the pirate hero or thief resistance. Nexon probably changed the image like how the adventurer pirate and thief have a new image. Also it wouldn’t make sense for it to be the pirate hero or resistance thief. Also look at the red eyes and crazy hair, plus what he’s wearing. What other class/job has this look? I like all you all are thinking outside of the box, I really do; but let’s face it. This is obviously a dual blade oriented update. Who know knows, it might lead into the Resistance thief somehow, but overall this patch will be about the dual blade. Enough said.
Just a side note to those who believed it’s the Thief resistance, SP resets are being issued out on the nearest hot time 25th February 2012. So it is highly possible that it is the Dual Blade comeback.

Because there is to much fluff for him to just be returning. If db was just being able to be created again, nexon wouldn’t bother dressing him up in new clothes. Nor would they announce it in inkwell’s diary. Which obviously has been used to give snipets to revamps and new content.

That’s actually a pretty valid possibility. Dual Blades were kinda the poster children for Super Fight, could have something to do with that.

No confirmation either way, but Dual Blader is my guess. I really, really doubt its the Resistance thief.
yeah, that doesn’t really make sense considering pre big bang was over 14 months ago which is practically eternity in patch time. Anyway besides bishops obviously needing to be buffed, I still think the original 3 resistance classes (battle mage, wild hunter, mech) need skill overhauls too. We are the only three classes to not have our gameplay changed at all since being released, which is pretty sad.
And I just want Nexon to finish releasing the remaining classes, then do final skill revamps for the old classes, and then not do skill changes for at least a year and give us ACTUAL content like Aswan PQ.

When was the last time they got patched? Thief revamp, they barely got touched just usual thief changes.
The last proper db revamp was in Chaos. A year ago in kmst.

That was an err when I posted. When I make walls of text like that, I tend to change a lot and jump around, and I forgot to remove Corsair from that list; a silly mistake. But for reality’s sake, they have MW, lol.
Sweet, I’ve always thought that the playing style of DBs had been a bit too annoying.
Up until Lv8x, I was still training by spamming bloody storm, which was quite annoying due to its 2 second delay. Perhaps now I can have something more spammable to actually manage to keep monsters at bay?
