kMSt ver. 1.2.428 – Maple 9th Anniversary and Fantastic Theme Park!
Finally, the anniversary patch has hit Tespia! It’s MapleStory’s 9th anniversary! Combined with this is the return of the Legend jobs, as well as a new theme dungeon~!
This patch will be coming to the real server on April 26!
UPDATE: Mikhail, Dual Blade, Aran, and Evan character creation will be blocked on May 17!
The Legend jobs have returned! You can create them again! They have also received skill reorganizations~ I’ll outline those a bit later. In the real server, Cannon Shooters will be available on patch date, Mercedes on May 3, and Demon Slayer on May 10.
There’s also some events to celebrate the return of the Legend jobs! While playing them, you’ll receive things like the Legend Ring, Maple Coins, Special Mastery Books, equipment boxes, and the Legend Teleport Rock.
A new theme dungeon, the Fantastic Park, is open in Ludibrium! It’s for levels 120 to 130… ugh another low level area.
This place uses the monsters and areas from the Fantasy Theme Park in Malaysia! You can get Targa and Scarlion Helmets but they’re nerfed (only 5 to all stats). There’s also a medal called Fantastic Baby (5 to all stats, 100 HP, 200 MP, 100 def and m.def, 1 attack and magic attack), haha.
Future Ereb in the Gate to the Future has become a party play zone (again)! A new place to train for me!
Skill Changes
Cannon Shooter
- Slug Shot (2nd): damage has been increased from 180% to 220%
- Monkey Rush Bomb (2nd): damage has been increased from 40% to 50%
- Cannon Spike (3rd): damage has been increased from 170% to 240%
- Monkey Wave (3rd): damage has been increased from 760% to 860%
- Cannon Bazooka (4th): damage has been decreased from 600% to 500%, number of attacks has been increased from 2 to 4, delay has been decreased
- Cannon Buster (4th): damage has been increased from 285% to 320%, delay has been decreased

The Maple 9th Anniversary Celebration event has begun! Although I don’t usually outline events from Tespia, this will be an exception~ First off, monsters will be dropping 9th Anniversary Maple Leaves (obviously!) and 9th Anniversary Celebration Boxes~
Inkwell will be selling 9th Anniversary items in his shop, and you can buy them with 9th Anniversary Coins. This includes a new level 79 Maple Set as well as special scrolls (potential, enhancement, white, 9th anniversary, etc)! There’s even a lot of chairs and recipes!
All items are untradeable and permanent unless otherwise stated. The Maple Iolet equipment are tradeable once with the use of the Platinum Karma Scissors.

You can exchange your leaves to Cassandra for coins, 100 leaves for one coin. You can also trade in 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves for 1 9th Anniversary Maple Leaf.
There’s also a level up event! Everytime you level up, you receive some Maple Leaves as well as some Maple Syrup Potions, which have a different recovery effect depending on your level.
For clearing Monster Park 3 times, 3 party quests, up to Wave 15 of Nett’s Pyramid, completing Strange Gallery Quests, or participating in Mu Lung Dojo, you can earn Maple Coins.
After finding Maple Tree Saplings from monsters, you can raise the Maple Tree item pot to receive prizes!
Every 10 minutes, you can enter the Maple Leaves from the Sky event. Here you have three minutes to move your character around and collect as many falling Leaves and Coins as possible, while avoiding the Shells and Soot!
All the towns in the Maple World are celebrating the 9th anniversary! You can find gift boxes in each town that you can double click for prizes.
You can also ask the 9th Anniversary Band to play for you!
The 9th Anniversary Happy Maple! event has also begun! On the left side of your screen, you can get the 9th Anniversary Dice. By finishing quests you can collect dice to roll on this game board! You get items or quests based on where your character lands! It’s actually pretty fun haha.
In addition, there’s the Aran/Evan Training event, where these classes get gifts at level 30, 60, and 120 (for Evan) and 2nd advancement to 4th advancement (for Aran). There are also equipment boxes until level 70, a special ring (Hero’s Ring – 3 to all stats, 2 att/m.att, extra 2 to all stats and 1 att/m.att if you’re an Aran or Evan) at level 50, and special weapons at level 70!
There are a lot of Hot Times coming up, but one of them caught my eye. A free White Angelic Bless for everyone! Don’t get too excited, it’s time limited, haha. There’s also Hot Times that re-release the Elven Tiara and Devil’s Horns!
During this event, you can buy Item Locks for mesos in the Cash Shop!
There’s also a new item in the Cash Shop, called the Mysterious Anvil! You can use this item to change the appearance of an item!! I’m sure a lot of people have had this idea before, and I’ll explain how it works.
On the left side, you can input the item with the appearance you wish, and on the right, the item with the stats that you want. Press ok and…
You’ll get an item with the stats and name of the right item but the appearance of the left item! The green text on the bottom states that the Mysterious Anvil was used to give this Green Arzuna (M) the appearance of a Red Ades.
- The items must be the same equipment type
- The item must be a: hat, eye accessory, face accessory, top, bottom, overall, shoes, gloves, cape, weapon, shield, or secondary weapon
- The items can be for different classes
- The items cannot be for different genders
- After using the Anvil, you will keep the item that you used to define the appearance of the item and your other item’s stats will stay the same but its appearance will change, name will stay the same
- The changed appearance will stay regardless if you drop, trade, or sell it

In TaiwanMS it’s a cash item you can get from ‘random NX item box’. It can’t be bought directly from the cash shop. It +2 of a specific stat (based on the ‘person’ the equipment represents).

Wow did you guys check Fiel extracts. Apparently from what I saw CoH got cooldowned to 10 seconds =) But cork, double sprial, went to 5 second cooldown. Heal also has 15 second cooldown 0_0 Strange, but…okay.
If you didn’t pay attention on that thread, that cooldown is most likely for some new game mode/a replacement of PvP. For normal PvE use, it won’t have a cooldown.

based on my best guess, seeing as how in the second picture there is two of the red ades, with the second one in the inventory having the anvil information, as well as no missing equip slots in the inventory menu, so you keep both, and only change the looks of the 2nd. as id have to guess

It’s way too early for the summer update, this is just the anniversary patch! I’m assuming there will be some sort of filler in late May/early June then the big Summer update will come 😀

You can’t “cross gender” items with the anvil.
The items must have the same amount of slots to change shape.
They must be of a same “type” of equipment, i.e claw with claw, sword with sword)
However, you can make the equipment of a certain class look like another’s (thief equips>change to warrior looking gear)

I’ve seen nothing that implies its time limited, so I’m guessing its permanent.
Wait…. the re-release of 3 Legends, does that mean that Summer update is also going to release 3 classes, there is a high chance of it (except Mikhal), especially, when we’ll left with 1 Hero, 1 Resistance and 1 Adventurer. So hence from what I see it could probally be released as

I don’t think you understand how it works… (first off they do have to be the same weapon types xd, but let’s assume they didn’t)
You’d get a 140 attack Empress Bazooka (cannon?) that LOOKS like a level 1 claw, or a level 1 claw that LOOKS like an Empress Bazooka, not a level 1 claw with 140 attack like an Empress Bazooka.
Makes sense. So could a warrior with a shield mask it to look like a DKhanjar? Also, does the equip you’re masking copy the level requirements as well or could, for example, a Rogue mask their lvl 10 thief hat to look like a Sharktooth Skipper Hat?

Your thief equips could be changed to look like the UA set, they’d retain whatever trade-ability (if that’s word) they had before you used the Anvil.
