Hmmm… irreversible? Does this mean you can only choose light or darkness for Luminous? That goes against everything we’ve seen in Tespia though… I don’t really get it.
However, there are a couple of Dark magic skills in first job in the data that do not appear in game, could this be why? Maybe Luminous will be able to use only one of these elements… or you’ll have to choose one that is more dominant? Only time will tell!

It would be quite a unique twist if there was a different plot for both sides, if it turns out you do choose. However, considering the fact that Luminous is a hero, I doubt two separate plots would be likely.

Man, so Luminous is really some unique character. What are the Dark Skills in 1st job?
hopefully they don’t make the player choice between dark an light. both elements have their pros an cons an only seem to function properly when used in unison. plus the constant changing phases from dark to light would make training fun imo instead of a spam marathon

i dont think they will make us choose if we use light or dark skills cuz that wat so uniqe about luminous. if they make us choose equilibrium is nothing and the whole “moon” of light\darkness (the circle thats turn from light to dark and opposite) will be gone
I think this job has 2 storylines, and you can choose which!
Any way, a job you can choose to be evil or good.

Yeeeeeeah, darkness all the way. That is pretty unique, though, making us choose which specific style to play a character…not unlike pre-BB Warriors *ahem*…
darkest you will prob help the black mage light you go against the black mage and both of the story line prob end at level 100 were they both collide

at dark: u serve black mage then at 3rd job u realize hes bad and get equibrium,
at light: u will be in need of dark powers to get powerful and fight black mage asdf(ye light sounds idiotic)

Maybe the dark/light choice won’t be exclusive to luminous? Maybe the 5th job advancement for all classes will be the choice between Light or Dark. Not likely but I can dream. If they want to make Big Bang look like nothing, they should do this.

can’t imagine why they’d bother coding up a new gameplay mechanic and all just to throw it out. I’m more willing to think it’s a story thing rather than some restriction of gameplay.
Maybe L’s 5th job does away with Equilibrium, and just has you choose which side of the Maple Force you want to join.

Maybe it won’t change luminous game mechanic. They’ll let you choose between two sets of job. darkness (magnus) light (luminous)

I think they are making us choose between dark and light, because there will be a fight, like adventurers, resistance, heroes against the ones who pick dark, that’s an interesting feature coming out 😀
Hey Max, is it ok if you put in the info about the new dark skills? Really egging for more darkness in Luminous gameplay.
It’s just a Dark Magic Enhancement skill (literally the same as the Light Magic one except for Dark) and one attacking skill called Dark Falling. They’re both in first job.

given the set of Darkness skills that haven’t actually been used yet, there may only be enough SP to fill one side and meet their later skills’ prerequisites

I would love to see the animation of the bright side of Luminous fighting against Demon Slayer… or at least team up….. that will be awesome
Maybe the paths will give a different passive that favors either light or dark. I can’t see them making you choose, they would have to re-tool all the skills that rely on equilibrium, the whole concept of balance would be disrupted and honestly the class would have to be TOTALLY changed. It’s possible, but it seems like to radical of a change to restrict the class that much.
You probably get more support for the element you take, rather than being completely restricted from it.
