MapleStory 2 – Berserker! & Inkwell’s Secret Diary – Cygnus Returns Schedule!
I don’t want to fall behind again so I’ll make this post now haha. A new teaser picture has been released for MapleStory 2, this time with information about the Berserker class! I’ll put the translation after the cut~

BERSERKER
Rulers of the battlefield who love to fight. Without fear due to their obsession and madness, Berserkers rampage while wielding their Great Sword and instill fear within their opponents. They charge straight into enemy lines, destroying them with their overwhelming power. When cornered, they bring out an even more amazing strength.

Maple World’s Berserkers are known to be raised in a tribe from Perion. In order to survive the barren and harsh environment, their tribe became stronger and more gifted warriors than others. Those who learnt to swing a sword before they could even walk were given the name Berserker.
When one of the three Lapenta who were protecting the Maple World fell, chaos arose. Perion’s Chief, Heart of Red Wolf, allowed even those not from the tribe, but who had extraordinary fighting spirit and tough strength become a Berserker. However, the physical and mental prowess needed exceed human limits, and very few become true warriors.
I’m not actually sure what the Lapenta are, but I’m definitely liking the backstory the classes are getting. I can’t wait for the Ranger and Gunslinger!
The homepage also added these new avatars, which I assume feature characters from MapleStory 2 (since they included Bella and Ereb). I wonder who all these other people are going to be?

Guys, I’m pretty sure SOME of those avatars are MS1. I see what LOOKS like the spitting images of Tru (the information dealer at Lith from Aran’s Story) and Ms. Ming Ming (Chief Stan’s wife!) My bro proposed the possibility that they are either descended from whoever is depicted in these avatars, and I just realized another possibility: that they are the reincarnations of said avatar chars!

The “Lapenta” are the “Transcendent” in my opinion. Also, I notice they’re making their women very voluptuous. Large breasts, large hips, and a large buttocks. I wonder if they’ll look that way in game sort of like Dragon Nest?

Hopefully, they don’t go apenuts with that if they do. Although, variety brings costs down it also pushes up rarity. If they create the proper support system it should work. I hope they bring back the large skill selection so that you actually have to choose your favorite way of playing that particular character. They should have the weapon effect your skills and the function of your character. I loved it when Maple was full of tough choices and there was so much uniqueness even within a particular class and build. Make AP & SP resets purchasable with in-game currency and job changes already apart of the game system and you have a hit!

OOOH Blaze Wizard next month 😀 I’m excited now, if it’s just their revamps for only the Blaze Wizard next month and Noght Walker the month after…. Aran and Resistance revamp overhaul!!! AWWW YEEEAAAAAHHH!!! Now I’m excited for the next three months. 🙂

No dude, by “most powerful warriors”, they obviously mean BLAZE WIZARDS! MIGHT IS MAGIC, NOT STEALTH, STRENGTH, OR AIM! Besides, It’s HIGH TIME that we get an OP’d mage. iirc,Mages haven’t been the OP’d class since Evans first came out (in Chaos, they were the underdog of the three, Mages in general were the underdogs of Big Bang, and BaM’s were overshadowed by Mechs at the time. Lumis are just kinda meh for anything that isn’t grinding, Kanna’s aren’t outstanding at anything but their “uniqueness”, and Beast Tamers just kinda suck. If Evans can get an overhaul, (which I wouldn’t care about getting the power involved in an overhaul if nexon didn’t seem to think they can revamp ANY OTHER PART OF A CLASS without making HUGE changes to skills as well, so I guess it can’t be helped. But obviously, this means I cant get updated skills bc nexon keeps making small boosts to evans so they are JUST STRONG ENOUGH, JUST TOO STRONG FOR A RED-TIER OVERHAUL, which really doesn’t help.
When you play a class with no obvious gimmick (otherthan loldragons [which has very little impact on ACTUAL GAMEPLAY]) or individuality in their playstyle, with plain skill animations and no particular area of expertise (they aren’t the best at mobbing or bossing, they aren’t the fastest hitting or fastest moving, and they aren’t the most tanky or most glassy, they aren’t the most evasive or the best supporter, and we have a mundane, common name for our class. They’re perfectly average. They’re becoming nondescript. We need an overhaul if only to get something which defines an “Evan”, along with the updated skill animations and dragon animation,, creation, and storyline that we lack. Heck, if we got all those, I’d be fine with the overhaul LOWERING his dps, survivability, attack speed, or anything! Idgaf about power, I JUST want the beastness of dragon mastery and bad a**ery to be in HIGH DEFINITION!

“The most powerful warriors will return”? Well, obviously they must mean ultimate adventurer/explorer. I really wanna see the what they change with them. I want them to be set apart from the other explorers. Something with more “umph”
