Nexon has released details on the Additional Option Transfer Scroll and how it will be distributed. This item allows you to transfer one item’s additional options (flames) to another of the same item, but only people who meet specific criteria will receive them.

We will inform you about the Additional Option Transfer Scroll which will be distributed on May 27.

Due to lack of information, the existing notice has been updated. To prevent confusion from the added information, all changes will be in red. We apologize for not being able to give all information at once. (Added May 26 at 5:30 PM) 

Recently, there have been two changes which affected additional options.

1. Certain Additional Options’ difficulties were slightly decreased through the Additional Options system reorganization. [Link]
2. As compensation for the Additional Options situation, items were distributed based on the number of Rebirth Flames used in the last two years. [Link]

As a result, we confirmed that for items that were already equipped, the prices of many armor and accessory items fell sharply compared to before the changes took place. This change in market price happened because we were not careful enough when reorganizing Additional Options and distributing compensation.

Therefore, we have set up the distribution criteria so that a larger amount of scrolls will be given to people who had a lot of ‘high enhanced’ items with a ‘high level of additional options’.

1. Additional Option Transfer Scroll Function

• The Additional Option Transfer Scroll allows you to transfer an equipment’s additional options to another of the same item.
• The item whose additional options are extracted will disappear.
• For items without scissor counts, except for certain items, they will receive a scissor count of 10.
• It cannot be used on the following items.
  • Items that can be traded
  • Items that cannot be enhanced
  • Lapis/Lazuli
  • Equipment Traces
  • Items without additional options
  • Items that disappear when you log out
  • Items that have been locked with Green PC

A) The Additional Option Transfer items will be distributed to the Maple Storage Box on May 27 at 9:00 AM.

B) The Additional Option Transfer items can be claimed from the Maple Storage Box for 180 days, until November 22 at 11:59 PM.

C) The Additional Option Transfer items can be used for 365 days, until May 26, 2022 at 11:59 PM.

D) If you click the Additional Option Transfer Scroll, the special UI to select the ‘Extracted Equipment’ and ‘Transfer Equipment’. You can drag and drop the desired items to each box and click the ‘Transfer’ button. The ‘Extracted Equipment’s additional options will be transferred to the ‘Transfer Equipment’ and after that, the ‘Extracted Equipment’ will be destroyed.

E) If the ‘Transfer Equipment’ has no scissor count, except for certain items, it will receive a scissor count of 10 (the same as if a Rebirth Flame was used on it).

2. Additional Option Transfer Scroll Distribution Conditions

Base Conditions:

A) 1 Additional Option Transfer Scroll will be given for each item that meets the conditions.

B) The item requirements will be checked based on their status at the time of the maintenance on February 25, 2021. Even if they met the conditions after that point, they will not be included in the distribution.

C) If you had any items which met the conditions (either equipped or in your inventory) at the time of the maintenance on February 25, they will be distributed to the world. Even if you moved the item to another Maple ID after the maintenance, the Maple ID that held the item at the time of the maintenance will be compensated. If a character was in Burning World at that time, the Additional Option Transfer Scroll will be given to the world that the character leaped to by March 10.

D) Reboot World is not included in the Additional Option Transfer Scroll distribution.

Transfer Item Conditions:

A) It must be one of the following types of items.

• Armor
  • Root Abyss (Highness, Eagle Eye, Trickster)
  • Absolabs
  • Arcane Shade
• Accessories
  • Tyrant Belt (Hyades, Hermes, Charon, Lycaon, Altair)
  • Papulatus Mark
  • Enraged Zakum Belt
  • Chaos Horntail Pendant
  • Mechinator Pendant
  • Dominator Pendant
  • Golden Clover Belt
  • Meister Earrings
  • Ocean Glow Earrings
  • Lose Control Machine Mark
  • Magic Eyepatch
  • Dreamy Belt
  • Source of Suffering
  • Commander Force Earrings

B) It must meet all of the following enhancement conditions.

• 22 Star Force (12 stars for Superior equipment) or higher, or 12 Miraculous Equipment Enhancement Scroll stars or higher
• Legendary potential rank
• Epic or higher additional potential rank

C) It must meet the following additional option points.

Items will be checked based on the character’s class’s corresponding base stat.

• Warrior/Pirate (STR): STR, STR+DEX, STR+INT, STR+LUK, attack, % all stats
• Magician: INT, STR+INT, DEX+INT, INT+LUK, magic attack, % all stats
• Archer/Pirate (DEX): DEX, STR+DEX, DEX+INT, DEX+LUK, attack, % all stats
• Thief: LUK, STR+LUK, DEX+LUK, INT+LUK, attack, % all stats
• Xenon: STR, DEX, LUK, STR+DEX, STR+INT, STR+LUK, DEX+INT, DEX+LUK, INT+LUK, attack, % all stats
• Demon Avenger: Max HP

If the additional options match your base stat, the score will be multiplied based on  corresponding equipment level and additonal options tier.

When all 4 of the additional options points of an item are added up, if the additional options points meet the requirements, an Additional Option Transfer Scroll will be provided.

* For Demon Avengers, since level 120~130 equipment could not reach the required score, we have corrected that section’s score.

<Additional Option Score Example> 

• For an Arcane Shade Pirate Hat (level 200 armor), on a Viper (STR pirate) with an additional option of 77 STR (tier 7) = 11 * 7 = 77 points.
• The remaining additional options are calculated and added up. If the total is 120 points or higher, an Additional Option Transfer Scroll will be provided.
• In this same situation, if there was an additional option of 77 DEX, it would be calculated as 0 because it is not the base stat for a STR pirate class.

As mentioned before, we have not shared the Additional Option Transfer Scroll’s distribution criteria or application method with the user advisory group in advance.

This was decided entirely by the development team, and in this process, we referenced many opinions given by users from various channels such as the discussion board and customer centre inquiries.

When the distribution of the Additional Options Transfer Scroll is complete, we will notify you again through this notice.
