In this patch, both the Archer reorganization and the new mode (and return) of Super Fight have been released! Read on for more information~

When you log in, Nineheart will inform you that the Black Mage’s forces have attacked Ereb! Thankfully the Chief Knights were able to fend them off.

In addition, Orbis Tower floors 15 to 9 have been destroyed! To investigate, you can talk to Huckle. He will tell you of a mysterious Mystic Gate that appeared, and when you talk to it, it will explode! What does this mean…?

A new Super Fight mode, called the Grand Battle, has been opened! The Grand Battle has been made in order to allow Maplers to train for the upcoming fight against the Black Mage!

You can now access Super Fight from the Dimensional Mirror.

Up to 6 people can participate in one room, and there is no time limit. You must be level 70 or higher to join, and Knights of Cygnus cannot participate. It is open from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays, and 1pm to 10pm on weekends and holidays. You will be separated into rooms for levels 70~119 and 120~200.

In the Grand Battle, your HP and MP will be greatly increased and potential IS applied. You cannot use pets or items in Grand Battle, and some skills are restricted. If you defeat those below your level, you’ll gain less experience than if you were to defeat someone above your level.

This is the new UI for Super Fight!

1. Gallant Gauge: As you defeat others and spend time within Grand Battle, this gauge will fill up, and once it’s complete, you’ll receive a Gallant Emblem. However, this gauge will decrease after three minutes of inactivity, and will reset when you exit.
2. Battlefield: Shows you your current grade, the bonus experience you are gaining, and the number of people in your room.
3. Win/Lose: Wins are the number of people you have KO’d, and losses are how many times you have been defeated.
4. HP Bar: Shows you and your opponent’s HP.

There is a new system called Field Matching, which changes the room you’re in based on your Grade. As you do well inside Grand Battle, your Grade might be increased and you will gain bonus experience!

There’s also some extra points you can earn, by defeating the Champion (the one doing the best in the room), or your Rival (someone who has defeated you many times, this is called Revenge!).

Larson has updated his shop, he now sells premade equipment, including the Challenger set, the Crescent Moon set, and the Rising Sun set. He also sells the new Grand set, which are level 130. You can see the stats here (thanks Fiel!). He also sells new scrolls only for Super Fight items, as well as the recipes for the Half Moon and Blazing Sun sets.

You might have noticed that transparent bag, that’s the Magical Pocket, which when used instantly gives you access to the Pocket slot!

Gallant Emblems no longer drop from monsters.

The Super Fight Reopening Celebration event has begun!

You’ll receive 3 Gallant Emblems for your first win in Super Fight!

There’s also the win rate challenge, which requires you to complete 10 rounds of Super Fight. After that, your win rate will be calculated and you’ll receive prizes based on it!

• 0%~19%: 5 Basic Gallant Potions (gives 10 PVP attack)
• 20%~39%: 3 Intermediate Gallant Potions (gives 20 PVP attack)
• 40%~54%: 5 Intermediate Gallant Potions
• 55%~64%: 3 Advanced Gallant Potions (gives 30 PVP attack), 1 Gallant Emblem
• 65%~100%: 5 Advanced Gallant Potions, 1 20% Top Weapon Scroll (gives 4 attack or magic attack), 1 Gallant Emblem

To celebrate, there will be two Hot Times! The first on June 2 gives a Gallant Manual <Special> (1 to all stats, 1 attack and magic attack, 7 PVP attack) and 10 Gallant Emblems. The one on June 3 gives a 50% Positive Chaos Scroll and 10 Gallant Emblems.

Archer skills have been changed! Here they are:

Bowman

• Arrow Blow: damage has been increased from 220% to 260%

Ranger

• Strafe: damage has been increased from 200% to 210%
• Concentrate: attack boost has been increased from 20 to 30
• Spirit Link: Phoenix: boosts are now passive, Phoenix does not have to be summoned

Bowmaster

• Hurricane: damage has been increased from 250% to 260%

Crossbowman

• Iron Arrow: damage has been increased from 360% to 380%

Sniper

• Dragon Pulse: damage has been decreased from 350% to 140%, number of hits has been increased from 1 to 4
• Strafe: damage has been increased from 200% to 210%
• Concentrate: attack boost has been increased from 20 to 30

Marksman

• Ultimate Strafe: damage has been decreased from 270% to 205%, number of hits has been increased from 6 to 8, now ignores 20% of a monster’s defense
• Piercing: damage has been decreased from 520% to 260%, number of hits has been increased from 3 to 6
• Spirit Link: Freezer: boosts are now passive, Freezer does not have to be summoned

All bowmen will receive the Free Archer’s Marble and after getting to level 50 (or killing 3000 monsters if you are past that level), it will be filled up and can be traded in for a Free Archer’s Ring!

This ring gives 3 to all stats, 2 attack, 10 defense, magic defense, and accuracy. If you are an Bowmaster, Marksman, or Wind Breaker (4th job) you get an extra 5% critical chance. If you are a 3rd or 4th job bowman, you’ll receive an extra 2 DEX and 1 attack. This ring can be traded through the account once with the Share Name Tag.

After that you’ll receive another marble, which can be filled up by reaching level 70 or by killing 3000 monsters, you’ll be able to choose between two items!

The Fearful Archer Bow, which gives 100 HP and MP, 85 attack, 10 accuracy with 7 slots. If you’re level 100 or more, you’ll get an extra 10 attack.

You can also get the Fearful Archer Crossbow which gives 100 HP and MP, 88 attack, 10 accuracy with 7 slots. If you’re level 100 or  more, you’ll get an extra 10 attack.

Like always, bowmen will receive equipment boxes at the above levels.

Also, based on your level, you’ll be asked to get a certain number of level ups! If you can complete this task, you’ll get 60% Two-handed Weapon for Attack Scroll (+2 attack and 20 accuracy) and a potion that gives 10 to all stats and speed for 1 hour.

To archers who job advance during this event, they’ll receive prizes! At 2nd job advancement, the Free Archer’s Earrings, which give 3 to all stats and 1 attack. At 3rd, they’ll get a 70% Two-handed Weapon for Attack Scroll, which gives 1 str and dex, 2 attack, and 10 accuracy. At 4th, they’ll get a Special Mastery Book!

There’s one more new event called the Daily Gift event! Every day you can log in and receive free items! You’ll always get a 1.5x exp coupon (that expires in 1 day), a Safety Charm (which expires in 7 days), 2 Gallant Emblems, and a Daily Gift Box, which can give:

• 60% Glove for Attack/Magic Attack Scroll (untradeable)
• 2 Star Enhancement Scroll
• Lucky Day Scroll (adds 10% success rate to the next scroll used)
• Daily Buff Coupon (1 hour, gives 40 attack for those over level 71)
• Special Magnifying Glass
• Personality Trait items
• 10 Sunset Dew/Reindeer Milk

P.P.S. I know I don’t blog about GMS, but their exclusive class will be a Bounty Hunter? This information is from the v.111 – Maple Class Reunion Update Notes.
