And besides nova is a race which means there could be possibilities of other classes originating from the nova race since Nexon is well planned to make Grandis as equal to the rest of Maple World. 🙂

Knowing how Maplestory works I can speculate that the next class will be a Nova Archer likely to be a regular bowman however i wouldnt be surprised if it were a cross bowman. After that is likely the Nova thief which will most likely be an assassin but again i thought the warrior was going to be more of a paladin so dont quote me on any this. this is speculation based on my experiance with maplestory since GMS v0.07. Last will be the Nova mage. Maplestory doesnt like to release to of the same class type in quick succession so since luminous was a mage and was the most recent class before nova i can almost guarantee the order in which i have stated them to be realeased being
1.Warrior
2.Pirate
3.Archer
4.Thief
5.Mage
similarly to the heroes but since there is no pirate hero you swap one of them out in this case evan since aran(warrior) came first then evan(mage being which is the pirate in this case) then mercedes(archer) Phantom(thief) and luminous(mage again). understand what im saying?
Likely the next 3 Nova will be released in this order
1.Archer(regular bow)
2.Thief(Claw)
3.Mage(no specific info)

Well if your talking about that, they have 2 Hero mages O.O and no hero pirate…
if you remember in the Ellin forest story it talks about the characters daughter who sails away and starts the pirates and ellin forest happened slightly after the heroes incident. i like the idea of light and darkness and mage was the best way to execute and since they havent had a mage class since battle mage. so yeah hope that helps.

y’know, they don’t actually have a warrior either. it’s pointed out in-story they don’t train those classes, so why are people so obsessive about the notion?
yes yes DS is listed under resistance’s “race” but he’s still the same sort of character as the heroes and novas, that is, one who’s defined rather than a blank slate. he’s not a “normal” person like the other resistance classes, the cygnus knights, and the explorers/adventurers.

Why? That makes no sense. They don’t all start in the same spot like adventurers or KoC do. That’s exactly why they’re all separate. Like how Jett, Dual Blade, and Cannoneer don’t get bunched in with Adventurers, even though they are. It’s because their intros are all different.

On the other hand, in phantoms opening Aran was a boy.
during the “birth of the alliance” stuff, you see a guy aran standing in for perion’s leader, but female aran when you get out of the cutscene stuff. wizet’s been indecisive.
In the orignal commercial for Aran he was male. In the chaos update, and reorganization update he was depicted as male. In the silent crusade quests he was male. In the tower of god crossover comic he was male. Nexon can’t make up their mind. I think it would make more sense if they just kept him male.
In chaos he was female. the super fight commercial you can see Aran is a girl there
also is aran’s skill menu (not sure if anymore) but you can see skill previews and i believe the model using the skills is also female

they never told us aran’s gender in fact they always had both male and female arans instead of telling us Aran’s gender. Then they made all Aran NPCs a girl. Everyone has always just assumed she was a guy.

That pic with the girl shooting lighting is not going to be any nova class at all. KMS latest update of Magnus boss revealed that those pic of her are just part of the pre-quest to be able to fight Magnus.

guys guys regarding the classes issue here did anyone notice there are 8 warriors ,7 mages ,7 pirates ,6 thieves and 5 archer
which makes room left for
1 mage Oz the blaze wizard
1 pirate Hawkeye the thunder breaker
2 thieves Resistance thief and Nova thief
3 archer Subclass archer ,Irena the wind archer and Nova archer
or we can throw away all this and say that whenever the game gets boring a new class will be added and the story will change

we don’t have a nova mage yet so im not sure about the mages
i dont think jett should count as a pirate class considering the fact that it is gms exclusive
there are only 5 thief classes so there may be an ekhart (or whatever its called)

the thief resistance was mentioned more than once in resistance quest line that Claudine is a thief job instructor ith no students but perhaps they forgot about it

The way i see it, each resistance has a slight gimmik to it, mech rides.. mech, wild hunter has kitty, BaM is largly closeranged DS is super mobile and flies and stuff, im figuring they are thinking of something nice and flashy to do for it… better be worth the damn wait. :<

and each of thom have a sub menu that states each class for example :
Legends: Mercedes-Aran-Phantom-Luminous-Evan
wouldnt have to remove anyone and would save alot of space

Female Aran has always been canon ever since phantom: Aran was a chick in the Phantom story quest and the picture of the Black Magician boss fight has Aran as a girl.
I thought I read somewhere that Silent Crusade was made in Japan’s MapleStory (And was originally supposed to be JMS exclusive), so why would that Aran be used as proof of a Male Aran for canon if it wasn’t originally an Idea from Korea?
because the version with the male aran was invented by kms, not jms. the silent crusade made by jms didnt aran, freud, arkarium, crimson rock, or any of that stuff, and had a radically different story, and the npcs had different roles, most notably starling and crow, and just had most of the same bosses

ithink aran was supposed to be Alan, but was just a translation error, but they used the fact that Aran sounds more girly as an excuse to change Aran’s canon gender to female, so they could have more people play the last hero by making him male so that more people could relate to him, since most people playing this game would most likely be male.

Evan is a mage. Evan uses mage equips, a wand, and is a MAGICIAN.
