A new Inkwell’s Secret Diary entry has been released, with a new character we’ve never seen before? This girl looks sort of Android-y, she’s probably related to Xenon… the way this entry is written it seems like they’re reluctant enemies. In the bottom left, isn’t that one of the robots from the Edelstein mine? I can’t wait for more information~

you can see a gear near the end of her weapon (scythe?) which signifies that it is a resistance. It could be the thief resistance, but i dont think thieves would hold a scythe. The weapon looks more like for warriors…

maybe the same thing that happened with demon avenger will happen here? 2-paths? one is the energy sword (whip) and the alternate path is a scythe? just speculation and i doubt it will happen, just thinking it would be cool!
Personally I think that would be a good idea on Nexon’s part. Or For another preference I’d say. Give males the whip and Females the scythe.

I was thinking that they’re both related classwise, but the girl isn’t playable; almost like the whole Magnus/Kaiser deal. if not that, maybe Xenon uses a weapon that can transform into many weapons, (whip, scythe, etc.) after all, he is some kind of specially-bred supersoldier, right?

This actually kind of fits Prometheus with his energy-scythe and Pandora with the looks (kind of) and the… seeming personality.
Everything kind of is related to Grey’s Story. Grey = Xenon. Waking up by some error/damage, not fully brainwashed. Get attacked by brainwashed girl (Pandora/this android). Escape, but will keep on having battles.

Its sad, but I doubt that this is a new class. They’d be unlikely to release the official art for a new class without a name or any teaser information. …but perhaps i’m wrong. Betting that it’s gonna be a sweet boss though.

Vita died..there was a bomb inside her and she exploded during the resistance quest line. kinda dark for maplestory :c.
if you think about, i think maplestory needs that kinda theme considering the majority of people playing this game are from 17-25. I like it 😀

I never really like the Resistance storyline. It was dull. It is even stupider than Adventurer’s story line They got none.
Wouldn’t be surprise if that’s Spiegelmann’s daughter. He is pretty strange anyway.

I have a lot of the comments above and i love many of the ideas above XD.
My favorite one is the weapon basing off the gender. If that is true my female thief equips wont be useless~ I bet there are gonna be female characters made than males characters if that is what Nexon is planning.
I love the new ideas Nexon is coming up but in a way more annoying to keep track of the good equips and crap equips…..
I just hope they dont make more stupid/boring jobs like Mikhail because he was the most useless of them all. All his skills were copy and pasted but just different animation.
BTW: What do u guys think about the new avoidability System? IF they make it harder to avoid, then Automata/Xenon is going to have hard time using their skills since they require a lot of misses

Oh my god. She looks so much cooler than the reviled Xenon. Xenon’s skills even looked like they should have used a scythe and not a whip, and here we are with a whip character.

more classes and story related bosses…I’m starting to wonder what is the point of level 200…Too many classes are making my bishop look like a relic

Honestly all adventurers seem highly outdated. They need major major rebalancing. How often are bishops, f/p mages, pally’s, sairs, etc even seen around anymore. But every map you go to has a DS Lumi or a Phantom. I mean the classes are so out of balance.
Night lord – No 4th job mob skills -__- so they are forced to use the 3rd job one which works only in close range or the 2nd job one which does horrible damage.
Bucc – removed transform which was the funnest thing about being a bucc. Who cares if its a mount. You can’t attack or sit down in a mount.
Pally – Do i even have to say it -__-
Bishop – Horrible damage even when funded. Cooldown on Genesis makes them barely even playable unless you just want to leech other characters. Why do they have a cooldown but Demon Slayers get to spam dark cry every 5 seconds.
Bowmasters – Still have terrible damage and when compared to Mercades which is highly mobile and does twice as much damage, why would you be a BM.
Shadower – They took out BoT which was a main attacking skill. Assassinate is utterly useless unless you’re in pvp. Boomerang step is one of the slowest skills imagined and the animation still doesn’t look as good as it should.
I/L F/P Mages – Why be an I/L mage. You can just be a Lumi and level twice as fast, and reflect is a super powered chain lightning. And for F/P I mean who really wants to sit there, poison and burn a mob 5 times then explode it.
Corsair – No more battleship which made the class worth being. And why are we summoning a giant octopus with guns to attack for us -__- Who thinks of stuff like that.
XBM – slow. Wild hunters use the same wep and have better skills and are more mobile. Charging piercing arrow sucks when you have to jump. Snipe becomes useless with the damage cap considering you hit it with like 60k range.
Hero/Dark Knight – Hero had its 4th job skill moved down to second job. Gained new less attractive skills. At least with Brandish you did an animation. Now you have a giant sword that goes in a circle. Dark knights still have slow attacks and imo dragon buster looks better than dark impale

But bishops don’t need a damage boost , obviously they r support. I agree however that demon slayer having no cool down on dark cry but mages having a cool down on genesis is just wrong…..
For paladins IMO they need to give them a skill that radically decreases the damage a party takes , or give em a skill that that focuses a bosses attacks on them…
Ice loghtnings and need a skill that freezes mobs far away from them without killing them
Like instead of stupid glacial chain, a skill that basically creates a ice fog and is a long range skill, AND works on mobs to Atleast slow them down quite a bit

And night lords used to be the best 1vs1 , now there is absolutely no fun in playing them …….. Lol give em quad shad partner

Well you got a point there. But if you see it from the perspective of the story, explorers are the weak class. I mean they don’t have a background story or they weren’t heroes back then. So it’s easy to say the are the weakest class. But I would love them to be as strong as the resistance/DB/nova. And heroes and cygnus knights do a bit more damage. But oh well.

I think it’s the new Resistance Thief. The gear on the scythe pretty much already tells us that the class is Resistance. While if you think, Automata and this picture showing it as an Android. I’m quoting this from the Automata Skill Table article “Automata’s weapon is the Energy Sword, and I believe its secondary weapon is the Energy Collector. He seems to be some sort of Android or Robot.
As far as I know, sword ≠ scythe. So no, this is not Xenon/Automata.
This is definetly Automata. The edelstein logo on the scythe gives it away. Now here is something I infered (may be wrong). Automata was actually once a human girl in the year 2021 but when the Neo City invasion happened she was kidnapped because she was special. In her mind contained some sort of data that the invaders needed. So that data was used to create the prototype “Automata”, however an accident happened and her mind also got transferred making the android become self-conscious. At this point, the human girl was nothing more than a shell. The invaders didn’t care because they had a back-up data on their hard drives. However, they didn’t know she became aware of herself because of the memories that got booted into her mind. But before they started mass producing, the prototype attacked and destroyed the computers, thus inevitably destroying the data and her former human body forever. She then proceeded to escape with the help of ashura and asia (who sent her back in time). She got sent to Minar forest and Andy guided her to the Resistance. She then learned somehow that the black mage was responsible for the invasion of neo city because he needed the energy crystals from those years. Burning with anger, she joins the group as the new Resistance Thief, Automata. [May not be entirely true but it makes a good story] [The reason I thought up of this story was because for one of her 4th job skills, the name is in dutch (i think) and it reminded me of Aufheben in Neo City]

Dude…. Automata isn’t a girl, it’s a boy. And Xenon IS Automata, and Xenon’s boy. This girl could be part of his storyline or something, like she used to be in the resistance then betrayed him or something. Nice storyline you made up though.

Its possible that this girl and the whip-guy are BOTH android/cyborg creations of the black wings, and whichever one is resistance was a failed prototype that went renegade and joined the resistance. After all, wasn’t the scientist guy in the normal resistance intro conducting experiments on humans, and didn’t he mention something about creating a super-weapon with them or something along the lines of that?
