kMSt ver. 1.2.480 – Thief and Pirate Reorganizations!
The last of the Adventurer updates has finally been released to Tespia, with changes to the Thief and Pirate classes! They did skip over Dual Blade and Cannon Shooter, although there were some changes to them that are really interesting. They also added the new Adventurer storyline, the Free Advancement system and a reorganization the the profession system!
Finally done!
New NPCs and illustrations have been added in the data. Could those two blonde characters be Zero and Ether, the new jobs being added with the Child of God content?
The guy with glasses is the one from the trailer I believe, who was talking with the Black Mage’s commanders… interesting.
Two new hairs have been added to the creation of Adventurers, the Kerning City hair for males and Nautilus hair for females.
Adventurer Magicians now advance at level 10 like the rest of the classes.
Dual Blade and Cannon Shooters have been incorporated into regular Adventurers. Their Cash storages have been merged (now all Adventurers share them). Phantom can now steal their skills just like the rest of the Adventurers!
All Adventurer pirates will now receive the Master of Swimming and Master of Storage passives that Cannon Shooter had.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention but Dual Blades and Cannon Shooter can also choose these hairs for their creation now, they’ll also receive the new clothes that Adventurers got.
An Adventurer storyline has been added! Now, when you create one, you’ll receive the Adventurer’s Logbook which records your progress for these quests along with a summary and a picture. I believe each job has their own set of stories (the above are for the thief).
It’s sort of cool really, you meet these NPCs that are modelled after other characters and jobs. For example, if you play a thief, you’ll meet an archer named Olivia who asks you to help her.
An updated tutorial will be coming in a future patch.
Adventurers have received an Emblem slot! Along with it comes three new Emblems.
As you can see, there are three (Silver gives 5 all stats and 1 attack/magic attack, Gold gives 10 all stats and 2 attack/magic attack, and Crystal gives 15 all stats and 3 attack/magic attack).
What’s interesting though is that you get the Silver one at level 60, the Gold one at level 100, and the Crystal one at level 160. Does this mean 5th job will be taking place at level 160?
The Free Advancement system mentioned during the RED update conference has been added! With it, you can choose to switch to a different job within your class (e.g. if you are a Hero, you can switch to Paladin or Dark Knight). However, there are some conditions.
- You must be a 4th job Adventurer
- You must have either enough Free Advancement Coins or mesos (the cost depends on your level as well as how many times you have changed jobs, e.g. a level 201 had to pay 471m mesos but another SS I saw it only cost 26m)
- You can only change jobs once per day
- All your SP and mastery levels will be reset
- If the job you are switching to uses a different main stat (e.g. Captain to Viper), your AP will be switched
- If the job you are switching to has a Link Skill, you will gain that Link Skill (and vice versa, meaning you cannot get the Cannon Shooter Link Skill on a Captain or Viper)
- After switching, you will get a level 100 weapon of the job you switched to
The Profession system has been reorganized!
- You can now learn mining and herb collecting at the same time
- You no longer need pickaxes or shovels in order to mine/collect, but you can still use upgraded ones if you wish
- The amount of item crystals acquired when breaking down equipment has been adjusted
- Producing items level 120 or below (except for certain ones) no longer requires recipes
- The amount of crafting items you can hold in one slot has been increased
- Some items’ required crafting items and fatigue have been changed, creation waiting time has been added
- A cooldown has been added to fatigue restoring potions
There are two new extracting machines, the first for Cubes (it says you can extract Strange Cubes and produced Cubes… can we now use professions to make Cubes?) and the second for Scrolls (for scrolls, recipes, and Flames)! Thanks to Spadow for the images!
A new artisan and scholar systems have been added to professions. Now, after you get level 10 of equipment production, jewel crafting, or alchemy, you can raise your mastery level (through the same methods of creating items to gain experience)! In addition, you will gain a special effect around you when your mastery level is high.
A higher mastery level means you will be able to create items with a higher chance and possibly upgrade them. You can also gain access to new recipes (like new face accessories, potions which give boss damage, defense ignore, % all stats). These new recipes will require items dropped by boss monsters over level 160.
These include the new Meister set which you can see here: Character > Accessory > Earring/Ring and Character > Weapon. The Meister Earrings (level 140) give 5 all stats, 500 HP and MP, 4 attack/magic attack with 6 slots, the Meister Ring (level 140) gives 5 all stats, 200 HP and MP, 3 attack/magic attack with 1 slot.
The weapons themselves are comparable to Fafnir, they are level 145 and have high attack with 10% defense ignore, 30% boss damage and 8 slots. They are untradeable upon equipping and require Platinum Scissors of Karma. If you wear all three items, you will get a set bonus of 60 attack and magic attack and 10% HP and MP!
The personality trait system received some small changes. Empathy has had its effect of increasing quest experience changed to increased buff duration, and insight has received an additional effect of ignoring a certain percentage of monsters’ elemental resistance.

OT: Nice to see they listened to player on the skill animations, giving warriors and archer branched their own colors, giving Bowmasters their fire theme, and finally adding Blunt weapon animations. Hopefully they keep listening to players and incorporate more feedback.

Hey, it isnt that bad. NLs were the original Flash Jump, but now that all jobs have some form of Flash Jump, it makes sense for us to have 2x flash jump in mid-air. It makes us more of a “Thief” class, agility like no other.
Anyway, i am a hater of all the other jobs that stole Flash Jump from NLs. What made NLs so cool and very popular back then, other than damage, were Flash Jump and Shadow Partner. That was why i made them until all these other jobs “stole” them from us.

Who noticed the Enlightenment Cube in the Animation? I believe it would be something like, Fuse “X” amount of Strange cubes and you can get yourself a certain Cube in the Cash Shop, or something like that.

I liked 9 attack snipe :{ It had more damage output because of crits on all 9 shots. But pro people will like it for 200m dmg.
9 attack snipe with all criticals would be the same as 1 attack snipe critical
While the percentage of damaged stayed the same, you are wrong when it comes to a marksman able to hit over 22.2 million on each of the nine hits as the damage turns into an excess of 200 million. 9 Hits of Snipe at max damage of 50mil each would equate to 450 million dmg. This is a significant nerf assuming the marksman is damage capped.
No, you can’t hit 50m cap with 9 hit Snipe even with 15k DEX. Most elites would be stuck at 30m+ max. With insane buffs, some can reach 40m+, but that’s to noob bosses such as normal zakum.
And lol at people still thinking that more hits = more damage when critical… This is already false since Big Bang patch when they adjusted the critical formula… and BBP is really… many years ago =.=
9 attack snipe is inferior. With the hyper skill that adds 1 extra hit from snipe, it effectively doubles snipes to over 8000%

YES! They changed Night Lord’s Shade Splitter to nearly double the range of our current skill AND we don’t have to be inside the hitbox. No more Kamikaze. 😀 (source from southperry).
Yeah Shade Splitter was basically Band of Thieves…. now they realized that bandits and assassins play differently. they should have given shade splitter to shads and made a new skill for NL.
Critical Damage is multiplicative no additive, so 4410% 1 time = 490% 9 times.
Does XBm can bypass max cap? so far i see in videos that the ultimate snipe shot onli hits 50m max in videos and last time when out hyper it said 100m…thus snipe max cap onli 200m, 9x 50m (follow last time max cap)= 450m.
On top of that, does advanced bolt apply to snipe if reached lvl 177 which add the number of hit by 1?
It is very interesting… Shadow Splitter and Showdown Challenge. Without hypers, Show is weaker %-wise. Now the question is which is better speed wise…

Shadow Splitter – 213 x 3 = 639 + (213 x 0.7 = 149.1 x 3 = 447.3) = 1086.3%
Showdown – 618 x 2 = 1236 + (618 x 0.7 = 432.6 x 2 = 865.2) = 2101.2%
That’s before Hypers.
With the extra hit hyper it does 3151.8% damage…that’s 1159.4% stronger than our current Quad Star (1992.4% or 2490.5% after hypers), and it’s an AoE that also gives us bonus EXP…that’s pretty huge. Our new Quad Star does 2570.4% damage before Hypers, 3213% after hypers.

Having said that, I long for a Quad Throw renewed animation. May they just give that out, and I can say then that I’m pleased. I really don’t want any more, I’m not greedy, justtttttt add a new animation for Quad Throw xD and for the love of god make ’em starz flow in a perfect wave~

there are plenty of examples where warriors, mages, and bowmen were -not- happy with their changes the first time around, and then things were updated much more nicely the next times they were touched on.
They never intended to fully change -everything- either. I thought that mark passive looked pretty cool, and the showdown skill looks awesome for bossing, if just for the added drop rate.

Actually i think thieves and pirates new skills revamp came from Justice. Other jobs didn’t recieve any big change in their skill sets since they came out unlike thieves and pirates during Justice. I think Nexon betted on the new skills from Justice as the final form of skills
That is why Nexon makes it so FAIR for every class. Lemme give you all the revamps Adventures got so far after Big Bang:
JUMP patch- Revamps Warrior, Mage, and Archer. They got revamped week after week but then they stopped and came out with a new job, which I forgot. They never revamped Thieves and Pirates when they were pretty much revamping all the Adventurers.
Before Justice patch where Thieves and Pirates get revamped- Warriors, Mages, and Archers once again gets revamped(Number changes and a few new skills)… And finally we got the thieves and pirates we have today.
RED Patch- Warriors, Mages, and Archers, pretty much got remade, while we Thieves and Pirates have to stick with the skills we got from Justice patch when those skills should have came during JUMP patch…
I wonder when the next “revamp” will be when we thieves and pirates actually get revamped like during Justice patch. Even though this is a great revamp, it is pretty much just changing the effects of all our old skills. That is nothing compared to what Warriors, Mages, and Archers received.

the reason of revamp is because they are weak, strong jobs like kaiser seldom have changes…..thieves and pirates are pro compared to warrior, mage and archers, thats why those 3 need more changes, but even after those changes, they are still not that strong. They get new skills but whats the point? i believe it is better to buff thieves and pirate’s original skills than coming out strange skills which may be noob….

Is it just me, or does the new savage blow animation make bandits look like powerpuff girls?
What the fuck did they do to Shadowers, are you fucking kidding me? They better up the ante before the actual release because this is crap. Alright, finally being able to move our mesos is nice, but everything else is just lazy. It’s like half way through third job they just said to themselves “Gahh, bored, fuck this *chg ##SS*, DONE”, Changing Savage Blow into a Xenon’s 2nd job attack ripoff is not nice, not returning Assaulter is not nice, and why is the skill that got the biggest change Assassinate? That’s not even the main skill, every other job got some kinda buffed up main skill or a new skill to go with their main skill, instead we just get a reskinned version of ours with some slightly changed mechanics? That’s alright for a normal revamp, but when you hype a Revamp like the RED revamp you better deliver, and Nexon didn’t. It’s funny, all the other revamps took up more than a page, but the Shadower revamp and Chief bandit literally fit with in a single page.
Again, they better up the ante before the release, this is not satisfying. They need to return to the roots of the classes and learn something. Night Lords isn’t much, almost the same problem as the Shadower one, but the new Shade Split and Showdown kinda saves it. Shade Split actually looks decent now, and Showdown can work as their mob attack now: dealing 618% damage 2 times and debuffing them, and no cool down.
People on basil are arguing that it’s only this because of how “big” justice was. Except Justice only changed some numbers, replaced good skills with, again, unsatisfying skills, and just reskinned some stuff. I could care less about the damage boost, I’m not a damage cock sucker. I’m looking for some new fun skills that fit the bandit theme to play with, and aren’t copy paste of reskinned attacks.
Steal is nice, but having two mob skills is redundant, so I hope they change savage blow; unless the BS dmg upgrade makes it on par with some fourth job skills, enough to be chained with BS. That special class skill, really feels lazy, just a crit buff, and unlike the MM passive one, it’s not even that special. Other classes have active ones or fit the character’s theme, crit is nice, but if it’s the specialty of Shadowers; which doesn’t make sense since the original crit class were archers, then it’s just half-assed.
This whole thief revamp is half-assed, fuck, pirates probably too.

also for i/Ls they may still complain about the paralyse skill, at elast the frozen orbs is great than before but maybe some will complain about the skill with no damage

but for snipe i liked it the only bad thing is not variability that can be better but it make sense, it’s a really OP skill so 1 hit do it less and same way more op(with hyper) this thing i liked in the uptate(kmst ver.1.2.480) and the new ”puppet” got it cool down removed, it will be really useful now 😀

I don’t like NL’s Specialized Skill… It is dumb as hell. The Warriors, Mages, and Archers actually got very unique skills and our’s is just a Final Attack?
Despite all that you say, Shads were probably the only Basic Adventurer class that was good enough to keep up with the “newer” classes (mostly…) and as such didn’t need that big of a difference when they were “revamped”. Same goes for Buccs which is why Sairs got the bigger change in comparison. While some of it is disappointing (I miss Assaulter too), you’re basically whining about how Shads aren’t better than everyone else. No offense but you’re being a little harsh here. This is coming from a Shad-user as well.

They can only listen to the players once the change something. Look at what happened with Paladins; the revamp hit and was awful, and now they are getting well-deserved buffs left and right.
I’d say just wait a week and see what gets changed next. It IS a test server update, after all.

YES Mah lovely Shadowers are getting crit rates. I’m quite upset that there’s NO SKILL CHANGES for us, except for slight boosts in damage and the gigantic nerf on assasination… 😦
Shadowers already have a good critical rate. We can easily get 80% crits. I wanted them to make a beefed up Shadower’s Instinct to be our specialized skill, but instead they gave a pretty useless skill.
And here I thought Shadower’s Specialized skill was related to mesos…

1: They want to release an update every week and that’s as far as they’ve come in this period.
2: Since its 2 weeks and a half for the official update, they wanted to see if people will accept this, because they also have cannonneers and dual blades on their hands.
Looking on Warriors, Magicians and Archers ( especially that sweet sweet blunt aniamtions ) I’d go with #2. Doesn’t matter if you are Korean or Eskimo, you can clearly see the changes made in comparison to Pirates and Thieves. That being said, I do like Taunt.

Taunt/Showdown Challenge doesn’t work with Shadow Partner. That’s terrible, Nexon.
It’s supposed to be a 4th job mobbing skill replacing Shade Split, but without the Reinforce on it, it’s simply weaker than Shade Split.
Currently the new Shade Split is 1724% damage per second to 1 target with SP, and the new Taunt with Reinforce is 1978% damage per second to 1 target WITHOUT SP.
Pretty sure Showdown isn’t supposed to replace ShadeSplit.
The idea is that you cast it on a new batch of enemies, and then ShadeSplit them to death – much like the original Taunt.
The only difference is that this one has better speed/range/damage. And possibly allows you to cast it as the killing blow with all the benefits, like DemonCry.
Not really. They shifted the passive Hyper Skills from Shade Split to Taunt. If they wanted us to use Shade Split as our primary mob, they could’ve just switched the Purge Area Hyper Skills with Taunt.
Like I noted in my previous post, Shade Split is stronger than Taunt at the moment because SP doesn’t work on Taunt, but if you add the Reinforce to Taunt, Shade Split is weaker even without making SP affect Taunt.

Once again, thieves and pirates get the shit covered end of the revamp stick. It happened with Justice, and it’s happening again. Every other class gets awesome new skills, playstyles and utility, while thieves and pirates get lolnumbers, a few new animations and one or two new skills to make them suck slightly less. The classes that used to be cool and edgy have become perpetual butt monkeys for years. Maybe Doubles and Monkeys will get some real improvements, but it’s not likely if this is Nexon’s idea of a thief/pirate revamp. They’re not even trying anymore. Night Walkers and Mechs didn’t even get their well deserved revamp at all. It seems Nexon is hell bent on making sure thief and pirate characters become nothing more than a minority niche due to their chronic impracticality and the mind numbing boredom one suffers from while playing them.
At least players can still choose any of the awesome warriors, archers and mages that actually got really real revamps.

OK am I the only one that thinks they should either let us use the Transformation Skill again for Buccaneers, OR TAKE THAT CRAP OUT ENTIRELY.
I HATE the “he fights along side of you” crap. Buccaneer would be better without it honestly. Just get rid of these damn summoned transformation buddy skills and remake it without.
You know what Nexon should do, when you have your energy fully charged they should let you Transform during the brief period of time you are fully charged. I liked the old Transformation skill, and combining energy charge and transformation will make me happy.
Energy Blast and Energy Buster should be skill key, hold down, chargeable for more damage just like the original Screw Punch used to be.
Why have Dash AT ALL if you are giving the skill Octopush? They would be better off turning Dash into a Martial Arts Mastery skill instead. NO ONE WILL EVER USE DASH WHEN THEY HAVE A FLASH JUMP SKILL.
I understand that Nexon wants Buccaneers to be “Pirates” but IT ISN’T GOING TO HAPPEN. Buccaneers are DRAGON BALL Z KNOCK OFFS, and NOTHING you do will make it otherwise. There were Goku and Vegeta Cash Shop items released when Pirates first came out just in-case you didn’t notice the similarities. So it makes no sense to force Buccaneers to act like Corsairs or Cannoneers. Buccaneers should have a “Energypush” or something to differentiate their class. Corsairs should have the “Octopush” and Cannoneers should get a “Barrelpush” or something similar. I can understand giving Octopush to Corsairs or Cannoneers but not Buccaneers.
Energy Charge Colors should be White > Blue > Red > Then Purple last. Mastery colors people, MASTER COLORS.
Just get rid of shock wave and give us a new skill, NO ONE USES SHOCK WAVE EVER. Or turn shock wave into the Kaiser’s Dragon Barrage technique.Dragon strike is also useless, it needs to be replaced.
Unity of power and just about ALL of the Buccaneers hyper skills are USELESS. I mean give us Goku’s Spirit Bomb for our Hyper Attack, OR SOMETHING BETTER THAN MOAR TRANSFORM BUDDY LAMENESS.

man i was happy with the dash able to rush 8 mobs, i really sucks only rushing 6 enimes being a malee class, and do you even play as a bucanners? i don’t thinks so you just want a pro look to play that calss, comon dice is really nice so having some bonus from it isn’t bad and you just say that power of unity is useless, man comon buccaners have a nice area skill like Kamehameha from DBZ also stop doing focus in DBZ, you can spawn that skill by 50% of the time so you just have pro area skills and you can take a larger area not like bucc blast . Also stop complainning about the old bucanners , may complain about the piercing arrow not being able to charg it’s a epic thing, but i don’t really care it will be really cool, and the bad is only 9% chance to work for dice 7 it may go to 19%? 9% is too low. So it doesn’t really have DoT? Just a dot-like effect (like Fire Aura dealing damage every ~2 seconds)? How would this increase Ele/Fervent drain if this isn’t true DoT? If Teleport mastery can affect ele drain that would mean Fire Aura also can?

Honestly, out of all the specialised skills, I find the Corsair’s one most disappointing. I personally think that Corsair’s crew thingy is seriously close to useless. They are just freaking summons, the thing about absorbing statuses might be cool though. But still, take a look at other job’s specialised skill and then take a look at corsair’s, their specialised skills affects and changes the playstyle of the job or enhances it. As compared to corsair’s summon, I doubt the summons would change the playstyle in ANY way. It kinda feels like Nexon just got lazy and gave up on thinking of a new concept for corsairs. Anyway, waiting to see what they’ll do in the next 2 weeks, seriously hope that they’d change corsair’s specialised skill.

I actually thing the summons absorbing and disappearing is a huge nerf.
The extra damage boost is HUGE. To have that go away every time a stupid blindness/lock/whatever that you can just all-cure in .05 seconds is stupid. Given the 120 second cooldown something like a HT run means you’re waiting a good 100 seconds before you can buff again since he’s always doing something petty and harmless to you every handful of seconds.
It only gets used up on really bad statuses like seduce/stun/etc.

You can choose to use arrow platter on its own, or you can set it down and start attacking otherwise. it’s not really a summon but similar. It’s just what it is. They buffed Hurricane.
Snipe got huge buff, because you get skills to add 2 more hits to it. that’s huge damage, effectivly 3x the damage from before.

Doesn’t seems like a patch that will meet the expectations for NLs.
1. Aren’t thieves suppose to be the fastest moving classes or something? Shouldn’t FJ be tweaked in someway similar to the archers as well? Our mobility pales in comparison with some other classes. And Dark Sight got slightly buffed, though I doubt I will use it more often.
2. Mark of Assassin/NL just seems like a rip-off with minor changes from Phantom’s Carte Blanc/Noire from the youtube videos I have seen. And will Wind Talisman ever work on boss mobs? We are like, one of the only class that can’t rush/push a boss to a corner.
3. Shade Split got nerfed in terms of % compared to before the revamps with hypers. Dark Flare remains as useless as ever. Does the debuff from Showdown Challenge includes anything else? Or just the EXP and Drop Rate increase? Does Purge Area stacks with Paladin’s Threaten? Because if it doesn’t, it is pretty useless in major bosses IMO.
Well so far, the damage boost given is still okay, but not as great as what we hoped it to be compared to the previous patches. Survivability issues are still not addressed. I seriously hope that the delays from the new animations are not as long. It irks me in Cygnus that I’m halfway rebuffing myself when a Dark Genesis strikes, and I can’t even WALK away because I’m halfway through the animation.
To me, it seems like Nexon is running out of ideas, or they just can’t be bothered with us anymore. This revamp is crap compared to the complete overhaul for the previous jobs. Quite disappointed that I’m not even gonna read the shadowers or pirates one for fear of more disappointment. Just hoping for the next part of the revamp to improve things.

Not exactly. From what I’ve seen from a video…Marksmen can hit 3 hits (additional bolt + Hyper skill extra hit). Because of the damage cap increase, marksmen will be able to hit 200mil. That’s a total of 600mil damage, compared to 50mil per hit (9 hits = 450mil). I see that as a buff.
are you sure with that? i want to see the video also. However, comparing with other jobs, crossbow master is still noob at mobbing. Piercing dmg 1400% only and only att 6 mobs!! Other job’s skills have way higher dmg % than piercing lo, why cant they increase the dmg of piercing more?? Crossbow master is going extinct……

At least the way I see it, Marksmen weren’t really meant to be a mobbing class. They’re more 1 vs 1, and utilize very powerful single attack skills. We don’t have very many situations where mobbing more than 6 monsters is necessary either. It wouldn’t really make a big difference other than gaining X amount of experience quicker (e.g. getting that level 5 minutes quicker or something).

So Taunt’s effect was reduced by 10% and stopped working on bosses then the graphics got changed and the 10% that was removed was reintroduced as a Hyper skill and once again affects bosses.
After so many years all they did with Taunt was break it, reduce it’s effect then add what they took out as a Hyper Skill besides the rest of the NL changes that was a cheap one imo.
You all can complain about thief and pirate’s revamp not good enough, but know this: some jobs’ revamp are way worse!! Just like marksmen’s skill changes, making it even more useless and noob now, in other words, that is worthless “revamp”!!! I believe it is obvious that some jobs are pro even before the revamp like thieves and some jobs are way behind the TOP JOBS even after this so called “revamp”!! So far, I can conclude that these changes are useless and it FAIL TO BALANCE THE DIFFERENCE IN POWER BETWEEN THE JOBS, instead, it just made some jobs even worse and buff some of the adventurers, increasing the gap! From your post, 1. I doubt you had played a nl before, and 2. I doubt you can count. Why not take a look at the explanations and calculations for MMs provided by some of the people here first?

Worst thing that will ever happen to MS if it comes to GMS is the Free Advancement system. So you just make the easiest to level of every branch, warrior, magician, etc. Basically only needing 5 characters that are able to daily switch to another class in their branch. SO hey today I’m a Paladin tomorrow I’m a Hero everyone is going to love that. No need to make all of those characters anymore. Worst idea ever…..
except that it’s expensive to do that, and you lose out on the experience, and people will still have faith to their favorite class? some people may take advantage of it, some may just say:

Ok, thanks for the info, this calms me down….but they are still far from top classes…..see their mobbing, piercing only 1400% and only hit 6 mobs, the speed also not as fast….. And I dont see the point of giving them critical rate more than 100%…..40%(critical shot) + 5%(base critical rate) + 40%(distance) + 25%(SE) + 20%(bulls eye) + 5%(character card) = 135% critical rate, what for?? they should increase the critical dmg more!!
First of all I’ll be explaining this , no , now some skills consume energy but the amount of energy you generate with energy charge will be more than enough to keep generating energy while you’re not fully charged , this means after a dragon strike you will be able to start spamming laser right away ( although I don’t know how much weaker will be until fully charged)
People who bash the bucc revamp at least are idiots , do you even play bucc? what you want it to become , a new op class that gets nerfed in 0.2 sec? we only had 1 fking problem M O B I L I T Y , I know it’s lame to get it fixed with a skill everyone gets but IT GOT FIXED , and also our rush combo skills can be spammed like mad without comboing them… more mobility.
We have a really good 1 vs 1 , the best 1 vs many imo ( and when fully charged it’s going to be EVEN BETTER) , and a handful of buffs to boost our damage range greatly , what more do you need?
All skills got a damage increase AND a bigger increase when energy is fully charged , we got a 20 extra atk in energy charge , different animations with energy charged for skills , the energy system WILL BE MORE EFFICIENT , as in now your attacks will use energy it will not just get removed after 60 sec , you’ll have to empty the bar
And lastly UoP got USEFUL now by changing the good-for-funded max damage increase to a 10 % min and max critical damage, seriously WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR A BUCC? the problem here is that people deem a revamp useless or not compared the others , and since warriors and mages got more stuff now all the others got a useless revamp… keep dreaming , all peple who deem at LEAST bucc revamp uselees clearly don’t play the class , I do and i’m 193 in kms. so yeah

Now we have an almost Angelic Buster-esque style, with charging up and all. I mean, we have fists. WHY USE LAZERS? WHY NOT BECOME A SUPER SAIYAN TO FIRE THAT LAZER, AND NOT FIRE IT OURSELVES? We’re supposed to be EXTRA CLOSE RANGE, but the lazers have the same range as other ranged classes.

marksman’s snipe was nerfed for hardcore mm. Damage is same, though now put in one number not 9, which i approve. But capping it at 200m is a nerf, least in theory. 9x 50m = 450m. 1x 200m = 200m. speaks for itself. Also defense ignore reduced.
And that 200m damage cap seems to be Snipe only. Not all skills. So a nerf.

The thief and pirate revamp just got few new skills and they were actually pretty good to begin with, comparing to the other classes because the old warrior, magician and archers didn’t stand a chance against the other classes while thieves and pirates did. Now you hate it because it didn’t change too much and at the same time most of you hated warriors, magicians and archers because they changed them too much? Can you decide already you want big changes or keep the old skills? I actually like this adventures reorganization they needed this. These classes were boring and weak and don’t forget the 5th jobs they could get even better skills.

I am quite pleased with the Shadower revamp. Savage Blow seems to be very fast. It fits perfectly in between between B. Step, which is very good for generating coins for Meso Explosion. Steal isn’t as useless as it was before and it makes bandits truly bandits by allowing them to be able to steal healing potions. Phase Dash’s ability to move coins is amazing because you won’t have to deal with random coins in the middle of maps anymore; you can rush mobs to one side and explode the coins in front of you. Removal of speed reduction and being able to use FJ while in Dark Sight are very nice additions. My only complaints are the ugly animations of SB and Assassinate, the fact that the useless skill, Dark Flare, is still there, and how some skills are barely touched at all. Midnight Carnival could really use less delay so that the B. Step/ MC combo would run smoother.

i want my transform back…….. or at least allow us to activate it as a passive instead of turning into the energy man. Like allow it to be passive allowing us to be our own character or you have a choice to use the transform animation on your character. I remember my good times having those skills bawsing out with it having much more fun than now.

Max, for the NL changes, Expert Throwing Star Handling is supposed to give a passive 25% PDR boost. The damage boost to L7, Shuriken Burst, Wind Talisman, and TT has been removed, though. You might want to change your description for it.
Also, for the passive Hyper Skill of Taunt: Extra Target, it’s supposed to be 2 monsters and not 1 monster.

Okay so now they decided to give fusillade another attack line and increase its speed.. are you serious?? how about revamping mercedes some more?? at least give her back her potentials before you fucking pre-release nerf. Give mercedes back her life leech and 3 fairy summons, at least then they would be SORTA on par with the fucking new/revamped classes

Hi Max, is the shadower’s assassinate really only 1.5x using the five orbs? Shouldn’t it be 2.5( like it is now)? Also is the last hit automatic or preservable since you have 2 different animations…?
1.5x is what the description says. And I think its automatic, it’s just like a ‘secondary part’ to the skill.

The hurricane looks amazing now and you have a turret now haha and marksman are too much. 490 x 11 (hyper extra hit & the skill increasing the hits of skills with more than one hit) its way less than 4410 x 3 (same thing) its a 7250% damage increase.. wow. I think they will change their hyper skill since this skill can do 600m and 13230% while the hyper skill does 4000% and only 100m
No. The Additional Bolt skill for Marksman only applies to skills that hit more than once. Which means Snipe is unaffected and they practically make that skill(Additional bolt) kinda sucks as that skill only affect Net Throwing and Piercing Arrow, and other skills only hit once. But the one hit boost hyper skill is a boost to us……

The DBZ theme for Buccs is seriously annoying. DBZ is damn overrated and Nexon needs to remove the transformed spirit or make it look like something else.

DBZ is very overrated — so much so that it has become a trope that defines one of the staples of Anime despite the fact that the franchise’s storyline is extremely linear, extremely fleshed out, and lacks true depth of character. As a person who grew up with DBZ, I can honestly say that DBZ has not aged gracefully at all.
I do agree that the ST theme is annoying and there should be a greater difference between Buccs and archetypes like Saiyans.

Max would you mind giving some details about the new delays on Arrow Blaster (Platter)? I looked at some of the original patch notes on South Perry and the variables aren’t labeled properly. Secondly, does the turret activate Adv Final Attack? Videos are confirming it does not activate Magic Arrows but it is hard to judge AFA.
Yea but they nerfed piercing arrow’s damage hardcore in the process so it’s the same dps. Whereas every other class got a huge damage increase. Now you can throw a chain to go quicker then ever, jump to upper and lower platforms like a merc, AND, ANDDDDDDDD 4,000% SNIPE with the uniqueness of being the only lucky bastard to pull off 200,000,000 damage. And you cry over Piercing Arrow’s charge system deleted without buffing it? Did I even mention that Snipe loses its cooldown from LV155 Post Unlimited/Spark/Unleashed?! GET OUT OF MY FACE.
You can BOO and HOO all you want and give it a diplomatic sound but I’ll be purchasing 3 character slots when this patch arrives GMS, for a bowman, a marksman, and a paladin. And guess what? I can’t wait to spend the money.

Damn… Hero’s Enraged Raging Blow got nerfed big time. From an increase of when Enraged, it was 268% to 335%. Now it became 268% to 278%… While Dark Knight’s power got an even bigger buff of (443% + 110% of your HP) x 4 hits to (330% + 110% of your HP) x 8hits, with a reduced delay. Its totally unfair!
To be fair, Dark Knight deserved it more then Hero.
Wouldn’t you agree that the current GMS DK is underpowered, but the Hero with adv combo is the highest hitting warrior?

Doesn’t matter if DrK deserves a buff more than Hero, they shouldn’t take a gigantic kick to the crotch for the sake of making them balanced with others. The Hero branch was always the best at 1v1 apparently, and what that took away is a LOT of 1v1 attack power, and that should not be.
And the Hero is SUPPOSED to be the highest hitting warrior (again, mostly 1v1).
But meh, they have to leave room for something come 5th job so I’ll wait for that.
I totally agree with that. No classes or jobs’s main purpose should ever be reduced for the sake of balancing. Hero for example, was always meant for 1v1 combat, it was never good in killing large groups of monsters and was never meant to be, but they shouldn’t be taking away the power of 1v1 combat just to balance out with Dark Knights or Paladins.
Dark Knights on the other hand, their main purpose was to kill extremely big groups of monsters from the start, and before these patches, Sacrifice was their most powerful 1v1 attack(despite using up some HP, but Dragon Wisdom was more than enough to make the HP stay at max most of the time). Dark Impale with the additional Instant Kill effect was enough to prove that Dark Knights are meant for killing large groups of monsters. Very good survivability. The deserve more applications which uses their HP(as in, consume HP).
Paladins… Enough said, warriors of ultimate defense. Best survivor out of all three warriors, not to mention self healing techniques. Can switch between bossing and killing large groups of monsters easily with Blast(1v1) and Charged Blows(multiple monsters), but was never better in bossing than Hero, and never better in killing groups of monsters than Dark Knights. Their Elemental attacks helps to increase damage somehow if the monster ever has its weakness… If they were to ever become offensive, it is only right that they trade in their defense to get higher damage.

Heroes and dark knights have always had X-mob skills mainly, aka brandish and dragon crusher (3), raging blow and dark impale (6). Heroes having >slightlyboth< in 1v1 and 1vlots (which was never supposed to happen) while keeping their defense to the sky. If trading some survivability in favour of power was fair, then all those whine-adins who started blowing after the first red update should just have shut up because that's exactly what they were receiving.
If you say hero should be better at 1v1 than dark knight, that's already arguable but I for one agree with that – that doesn't mean it has to take 3 drks to equal 1 hero though, which was the situation we got to buff after buff (to heroes). But the whole system of how the two jobs should work you said is some serious bullshit.
If you haven't noticed anyway, all the red updates are adjustments. What actually matters is the comparison to the pre-red, not to the previous red adjustment. Compared to the original situation, heroes got a buff in damage nonetheless, so the whole point is not even existent.

…slightly higher damage was justified by drks having more hp thanks to hyper body, which anyway makes our health nowhere high enough to be efficiently used as a source of consumption – that is what demon avenger is studied for. If you really want us to use our hp for attacks, then you will have to wait for either hp to be considerably multiplied, or damage to be absurdely huge, else where’s the advantage that balances the constant loss of hp? That’s why sacrifice has always sucked and was good on trash mobs/bosses only, whereas on major bosses we could use it at our own risk, which is definitely not its supposed mechanics. Before you object, dragon wisdom was not enough to keep our hp up while sacrificing because the drain skill is too uneffective on a single hit skill. Anyway we had impale buffed to the point where it outdamaged sac even on 1v1 situations – which means it was godly as a mobbing skill but we severely lacked face-to-face ability, and obviously it was weaker than raging blow in all fronts. There goes your hp-usage system, and amazingly we find ourselves with a 3rd job skill that is completely pointless. How people think it was fair for heroes to double/triple our damage, I’ll never know. Also seeing as our survivability is not as legendary as what so many stupid people think, actually we don’t even have power guard, guess what.
And you should not even start talking about paladins for they received increasingly higher damage than us both…
Paladins went from 200% defense down to 25%, then back up to 200%. If you’ve never played a Pally then you don’t know how underwhelming they felt at high levels.
not really it changed from 335 to 294.8% i think its 10% + of the 278% not adding 10%. and you are forgetting that 268 to 335 its really a huge increased because 60%+ damage from the enrage its already a lot even if it makes your skills 1vs1.

Dude now DB is like NL/Shad + they all share the same animation + you can Tripple jump. Phantoms can jump once.

these guys should get rid of shout already. its horrible for mobbing, slow, low damage and the stun effect was never good. its like freezing but only works for 1 attack. also the animation still looks ugly. they should change it either. raging blow effect without enrage looks outdated. they should replace it with the enraged one and make the enraged one better. combo force shouldnt use a combo orb. incising is crap. panic is still decent nothing serius to say about it. hero needs to be a one colored class (like purple for dk) not a blue-pink-red class. a good mobbing skill needs to be added or at least change the raging blow range. i get that its a bossing class but we still need a good way to mob. and make it more flashy. xP. if thats how its gonna be 5th better make up for it.

what happened to marksmen’s ice theme?? Their only ice element skill, blizzard shot removed and replaced by the useless bolt rupture!! Moreover, they also lost their only AOE skill, arrow eruption and single target skill that can be spamed (snipe only spammable at lvl198… =.=”), ultimate strafe!! Now they dont even have a AOE skill anymore!! Even the hyper skill is useless…..I really hope they will get back the blizzard shot and change the hyper skill into a full map AOE skill like other job’s to be fair and replace the useless bolt rupture…..And the distance of double jump is really short that they cant even jump to a higher lane, consider useless….

Off topic here, but I need to know. You know how in the Unlimited/Unleashed patch all circulators for inner abilities changed to a single pink “Ability Circulator”. Well GMS got that patch recently and I noticed that my main got stuck with a legendary ability and those circulators won’t work because they can only reset up to unique….so besides the “up coming” cash shop version of circulators that can reset legendary ability, is there anything we are able to do? Besides wasting our NX?
nope only nx , I’m not interested in changing tho since I had an s rank ability before the patch tho thanks to a s rank circulator from hot time and guess what , it is 30 atk ability 😛

In MapleSEA, which got this change in Inner Abilities a few weeks ago, one circulator costs 2700 NX. However you have to take into account that MapleSEA cash shop prices are over inflated.
Sorry, I forgot to mention, is the circulator in the cash shop able to reset from “Legendary” to a lower tier? Or is there another circulator that can do that? Because in GMS at the moment we have cash shop circulators that are only able to reset “Legendary” tier but not able to bring it back down. Therefore, permanently stuck with NX circulators that are 1900 NX each.
Double Spiral always pushed. However, chaining it with Corkscrew used to cut the delay on both for mobile chained rushing. Also, since Corkscrew could be used in the air, it allowed for grappling to ledges with mobs on them. The problem is that now Corkscrew doesn’t rush, and Double Spiral has a delay, and is as spammy a rush skill as a Warrior’s rush, which is bad. Have you never played a Bucc before?
Are you sure about double spiral having a delay? I have seen videos of vipers rushing mobs through the map fast. it seems they have reduced the delay by a lot.
Compare the KMST video you saw of Double Spiral’s usage to the current usage of CSB+Double Spiral and you’ll see what I mean. But it doesn’t matter, after looking over the notes on SP, they’ve increased the range of Double Spiral, so I’m happy now lol.

I don’t see much balancing here actually… Its more of buffing up one job alot and nerf others, then nerf that job and buff another job, and each job takes turns to be OP as times go by.

Well so far DKs has been one of the weakest classes,its their turn to shine…I believe they’ll nerf those skills for a little soon when they’ll notice it.You see how each patch right now nerfes some and buffs some,they are really trying to balance everyone.

Although Buccaneer looks like it didn’t receive much changes in terms of new skills, it got buffed a lot. They increased the damage of all their skills, made buccaneer blast hit a larger area, gave them flash jump and made their hyper skills more useful. I’m satfisfied

Hi Max, regarding assassinate, I understand that the description now says 1.5x bonus instead of 2.5x, but when I went through and compared the extractions for the current assassinate and the new one, they both had this: “New – kp (150)” which I am assuming to represent this bonus. If both old and new extractions have the same value, does that mean there was no change? Could it be possible one or the other descriptions are wrong?

They should increase the duration of the ”Shield” that make i/L with 100% elemental and ailment resistence to 60 secons, 30 seconds isn’t good also the cool down should decrase to 180 sec for both mages(f/p and i/l) have more resistence every 210 sec isn’t good i think?
SE should get 5% boss if it didn’t get? but i don’t really care, having +20% dmg in my piercing will be better so ”bad” hypers for SE isn’t a bad deal

i would like it if they change the distancing sense’s critical rate increase when the distance is close to maximum critical damage increase lo….because critical rate increase is really pointless…..marksman’s critical rate is very high already, better still increase the maximum critical damage so they can hit higher damage with sniping….
with this revamp they should at least move screw punch to 1st job ( since there’s still no punching skill at first job), move shockwave to 2nd, move dragon strike to 3rd job and a new skill for 4th for example a giant anchor like striker ( because its more pirate like). And at least bring back avenger with new animations
