The “first” patch of the You & I update has been released! I use quotations because there was like no content added, only events, I mean it’s even called the pre-update haha. Either way, some of the rewards are pretty cool.

Oh yeah, some new MapleStory 2 monsters were released! Check the end of the post for those.

The World Leap event which was mentioned in the You & I video has been released! It will run until December 8, so move fast if you want to use it!

You can talk to Isaga in any town to start the process. As you can see, he’s ready to move all your stuff over!

Maple Admin will outline you on all the conditions before you can actually move worlds. They include:

• One character can only be moved once.
• Only 3 characters per world can be moved.
• All ranking content such as Mu Lung Dojo or Donation King will be reset.
• Daily quest information and all community related content (buddy list, guild, alliance, marriage) will be deleted.
• Your storage will not be moved over.
• If you are an Adventurer, only Cash items in your inventory will be moved. Otherwise your Cash storage will be moved over as well.
• All coupons for gifts on the homepage will be deleted.

After that, you can choose which world you wish to move to, and you’ll be moved there instantly!

The next time you log in, you’ll see your character in the world you chose!

Next up is the Defeat Pipsqueak Zakum! event, and it runs until December 18.

Basically, you’ll first have to hunt for Rock Paper Scissors Participation Vouchers from monsters around your level. Then you can take them to Pipsqueak Zakum in any town and challenge him to Rock Paper Scissors!

It works just like the one they added a while back for players to face against each other, except this time the other player is an AI. If you win consecutively, you can work your way up the prize ladder on the right.

However, the instant you lose, you can either choose to accept your current prize or give a certain number of Vouchers to continue playing (e.g. if you lose on the second prize, you can give 3 Vouchers to continue, if you lose on the 8th prize, you’ll need 70 Vouchers).

The prizes are actually pretty good if you can get to the higher stages haha.

• Loss: 5 Chestnuts
• 1st Stage: 10 Chestnuts
• 2nd Stage: 5 Power Elixirs
• 3rd Stage: 20 Scroll Traces and 1 Chestnut Box
• 4th Stage: 60% Chaos Scroll and 3 Chestnut Boxes
• 5th Stage: 60% Miraculous Chaos Scroll and 8 Chestnut Boxes
• 6th Stage: Artisan’s Cube and 15 Chestnut Boxes
• 7th Stage: Master’s Cube and 25 Chestnut Boxes
• 8th Stage: Eternal Flame of Reincarnation and 40 Chestnut Boxes

The Chestnut Boxes can give the following prizes:

• 60% Miraculous Chaos Scroll
• 60% Chaos Scroll
• Silver Potential Stamp
• 1 day White Mage and Snow Riding Coupon
• Chestnut Coin
• 5 All Cure Potions
• Mysterious Love Letter
• Personality trait items
• 5 Chestnuts or Sweet Potato

A Chestnut heals 3000 HP and MP while the Sweet Potato heals 5000. The White Mage looks quite dapper in his Winter clothes, haha.

There’s also the Sweet~ Honey Attendance Check event, which runs from now until December 14.

Each day you’ll have to hunt monsters around your level and collect 30 Sweet Honey to be counted. The event lasts 9 days but you only need 7 for all the prizes.

• 1 day: 5 Chestnut Coins
• 2 days: 10 Chestnut Coins
• 3 days: 20 Chestnut Coins
• 4 days: 50 Scroll Traces
• 5 days: 8 Slot Storage Expansion Coupon
• 6 days: Eternal Flame of Reincarnation

You might be wondering what an Action Book is. Well… if you use one, it will unlock the beginner skill Action Skill. This skill will, when certain commands are entered into the chat, cause you to dance! It’s like a special emote!

The two that are for sale in the shop are the horse trot and the Growl dances. The skill also shows one dance that hasn’t been unlocked yet, the Moon walk!

The two Damage Skins are shown above as are the new chairs. The second one is actually based off the movie 8 Mile, more specifically this scene, which has become like a meme in Korea haha. It says “damn good” but the chair in-game says “very good”, gotta keep it PG I guess.

I’m a little late on these but new monsters for MapleStory 2! This one is a mushroom with… wait is that a Pan Lid? I remember when those things were worth a ton haha.

I guess the Kiyos from Ariant will be back in some form in MapleStory 2, albeit with ridiculous hairstyles haha.
