MapleStory 2 – CBT Preview: Stories, Apartments, and PvP!
Hey guys! A few more previews have been posted by the MapleStory 2 GMs, which reveal some new information about the CBT (which is in 11 days!).
Here’s what the special adventurer-only items look like. Adventurers are those who have (and will be) chosen to participate in the CBT. They’ll get these special items as well as being the first to get MapleStory 2 news and access to some special events.
So the first thing I’m gonna talk about is a short comic they released, the story of a little Griffin. It was so sad! Together with this, the GM said there would be a lot of hidden stories for monsters like this in the form of Story Books, which you will be able to collect as you play.
The next post was about housing. As you guys already know, MapleStory 2 features a very extensive housing system where you can buy your own land, build your house, and decorate both the inside and outside.
If you don’t have enough money however, or you just want to live with others, then you can check out some apartment buildings.
Apartment buildings feature many rooms and allow you to interact with others while still having your private space.
Some apartment buildings even come with a swimming pool, so you can use your rubber ducky at home.
They received a lot of feedback about these from the Alpha testing and have made many improvements such as more public areas and more diverse building designs.
Ask your friends to move in with you or make new friends with your neighbours~
The most recent posting is about MapleStory 2’s player versus player content! This first picture is from the Red Duel.
In the Red Duel, you’ll face someone else one-on-one so you can test their skills. Be the last one standing to win! 1, 2, 3, 4 wins… winning streaks are a ton of fun!
Next up is the Bloody Tears Mine (hardcore name haha). In the Mine, you’ll have to fight everyone around you, it’s a free for all!
You can choose to beat down on your opponents, be fast and race around the battlefield, or even just hide in a corner, but the point of the game is to obtain the highest score!
To access Red Duel or Bloody Tears Mine, you have to be level 30 or higher.
Finally, a crack in distorted space-time leads to a dark world… the Shadow World! In the Shadow World, huge scary monsters with the power of the shadows exist. These monsters hold special gems and items which cannot be found in Maple World.
Of course to acquire these items, you’ll have to defeat those strong monsters… and maybe you should even be wary of other adventurers…?
