KMS ver. 1.2.256 – Minor Changes and New Events
Yeah I bet by the title you can tell what this patch is (hint: boring). It’s pretty much everything in the last test server patch + 2 events: Rock Paper Scissors with Zakum and Higher and Higher Crown Stacking (which won’t even start for another couple of weeks).
Really hoping for something exciting to come soon for the summer update!
Client Optimization
The client’s size has been reduced by 1.78GB through data optimization. (I actually checked with a clean install of the last version and this one, and it’s exactly right haha).
Note that the patch file for this patch was literally just redownloading the client (~6gb) so it errored out for a lot of people and Nexon recommended to just redownload the installer.
Game Related
The Damage Skin Storage‘s maximum number of slots has been expanded from 10 to 15.
The Clothing Box will now highlight items that it cannot dispose of in red.
When using the Miracle Circulator, you can now hover over a stat’s line to see it fully.
Certain skills have been changed to allow the ‘skill effect transparency‘ option to affect them as well.
It seems to include summons, install type skills, and hit effects now. I think they also increased the maximum transparency of your own skills, because I can barely see any of them now haha (I have Arrow Platter installed as well as Phoenix summoned in the above SS).

Note: while I was at it, I also found the illustrations for the bosses added to the Soul Collector last patch, so I added them into my last post.
New monsters have been added to the Monster Collection.
- The Demon monsters have been added to the Victoria Island -> Sleepywood area.
- The Fantastic Theme Park and Korean Folk Town monsters have been added to the Ludus Lake area.
New Monster Collection related items have been added.

Certain monsters will now appear in certain areas.
- The Master Dummy will now appear occasionally in Mu Lung Dojo’s Advanced Training Area.
- The Gigantic Bellflower Root will now appear occasionally in Herb Town’s Bellflower Valley.
An error where you would sometimes not be resurrected when using Auto Resurrection has been fixed.
The list of content which you can access through the icons on the left side of your screen has been changed.
- Equipment Enhancement can now only be accessed through the inventory’s enhancement button or through a hotkey.
- Boss Party can now only be accessed through the Community UI or through a hotkey.
An error where jobs other than Demons and Mikhail could equip Force Shields and Soul Shields has been fixed.
The Meso Market now has additional restrictions.
- You cannot use it if your character is less than level 33.
- You cannot use it if your character was created less than 3 days ago.
You can now use Colour Lenses on Androids. You can talk to the Android Beauty Manager Sunny to use them.
An error where Elite Monsters and Elite Bosses were not appearing in Korean Folk Town has ben fixed.
Monsters now have a chance to drop the Pink Bean Transformation Potion, which could previously be obtained by opening the 13th Anniversary Boxes. (This is because one of Pink Bean’s challenges was to use one of these and they forgot the boxes stopped dropping lol)
An error where the screen would not appear for players with certain graphics cards has been fixed.
An error where Elite Monsters would disappear in Black Heaven Maze 5 has been fixed.
Skill Related
An error where Adventurer Magicians’ Energy Bolt and Archmage (I/L)’s Lightning Sphere were classified as physical property skills has been fixed.
An error where Captains using Wings would have abnormal actions has been fixed.
Pink Bean’s Sky Jump‘s damage has been adjusted and its cooldown has been decreased.
An error where it was possible to use Pink Bean Warrior while hanging on a rope or ladder has been fixed.
Pink Bean’s ability to become invincible while casting buff skills has been changed to the ability to not get knocked back by monsters while casting buff skills.
Cash Shop Related
The Choice Hair Coupon which costs 3,500 Cash has been updated with new hairstyles to choose from.
The Choice Face Coupon which costs 2,500 Cash has also been updated.
The Gold Apple item which was introduced last patch has been updated with new items. It is very similar to other gachapon type items like Epi’s Box and Pandora’s Box.
You can buy them in a set of 5 (2,700 Cash), 15 (7,800 Cash), 50 (25,000 Cash) or 100 (48,000 Cash).
When you open a Gold Apple, you’ll get two items. The first will be a a regular game item, and if you’re lucky, it’ll be something special, like:
- New Damage Skins
- Damage Skin Storage Expansion Coupon
- Starry Cloud Riding (90 days/permanent)
- Crystal Glacier Chair
- Souls
But honestly, don’t count on it, there’s a 2.56% chance of getting a special item haha.
The second item you’ll get is a Gold Apple Piece, which you can collect and trade in for items.
- 10 pieces: 2,000 Scroll Traces
- 30 pieces: 70% Gold Hammer
- 50 pieces: 50% Innocent Scroll
- 100 pieces: 100% Special Additional Potential Scroll
The June Royal Hair Coupon has been added and it costs 5,500 Cash.
The Trendy Royal Face Coupon has been updated with new faces, and it costs 3,500 Cash.
The new (adorable!) Little Big Dog pets will be sold from June 2 to June 22. They include the Sheep Dog, Samoyed, and Retriever!
You can buy them in one package for 21,900 Cash or buy them separately for 9,900 Cash each.
Event Related
Rock-Paper-Scissors with Zakum
The Rock-Paper-Scissors with Zakum has begun and will run until June 1. The reigning champion, Petite Zakum, has returned and wants challengers for his title!
To play, you’ll first have to collect Rock-Paper-Scissors Tickets. You can do this in two ways:
- Hunt monsters around your level (you can acquire up to 200 tickets per day with this method)
- Complete the ’10 Minute Ticket’ quest from Zakum which requires you to hold an item for 10 minutes to trade in for 10 Tickets (you can acquire up to 100 tickets per day with this method)
Talk to Petite Zakum to play once you have some tickets! The UI looks like this.

- Petite Zakum’s pick of Rock-Paper-Scissors
- Your current win streak
- Your current prize
- Your choosing area/results of the match
If you’re unfamiliar with this event, basically you just play Rock-Paper-Scissors. If you win, you move up one item on the right and can then choose to cash out (receive the item) or keep playing to move up more.
However, if you lose, you don’t get any of the prizes and your streak returns to 0, unless you pay a certain number of tickets to continue at your current streak number.

The first time you hit a certain streak number and choose to receive your prize, you’ll receive a certain item and any more times after that, you’ll receive the items in the 3rd column.
The fourth column is the number of tickets you have to pay if you lose and want to rechallenge Petite Zakum at your current streak number.
The Personality Trait Item Box gives 1 of 6 personality trait growth items randomly. The Unidentified Personality Trait Growth Box gives you 30 exp for 1 of 6 personality traits randomly.
The Petite Zakum’s Personality Trait Bag/Advanced Personality Trait Bag/Superior Personality Trait Bag gives 500/1,000~2,000/2,000~10,000 exp to 1 of 6 personality traits randomly.
Petite Zakum also has some special missions which you can complete to receive further prizes.
- Play Rock-Paper-Scissors 100 times: 4 Slot Set-up Expansion Coupon
- Lose Rock-Paper-Scissors 300 times: 4 Slot Etc. Expansion Coupon
- Receive all of the first-time rewards: 4 Slot Equip Expansion Coupon
- Use 1,234 tickets: 4 Slot Use Expansion Coupon
- Achieve a streak of 8 3 times: Selective 4 Slot Expansion Coupon
If you can complete all 5 of the missions, you’ll receive the True Rock-Paper-Scissors Champion medal which gives 10 all stats, 300 HP and MP, and 5 attack and magic attack (stats expire in 10 days).
Higher and Higher Crown Stacking
The Crown Stacking event will begin on June 2 and run until June 15. (will add pictures once the event notice is released)
Each day, you can complete the Challenge! Making a Shiny Star Crown! quest to receive either a Crown or a Crown Piece. You can do this 10 times per day. If you do complete the quest 10 times in one day, you’ll receive a 1 Hour 2x Experience Coupon.
You can trade in 10 Crown Pieces for a Crown that you do not currently have. If you have collected all of the Crowns, you’ll receive experience instead.
The Crowns are separated into 5 categories: Red/Blue/Yellow/Green/Purple and you can wear one from each. The Crowns will appear on top of your head and the higher they stack, the higher your character’s stats are increased (9 attack/magic attack, 15 all stats, and 750 HP if you have all 5 equipped).
The goal of the event is to collect every single Crown. There are a set of challenges that give you rewards for completing each category.
- Red Crown Collector: 1 Decent Experience Bag
- Blue Crown Collector: 5 Monster Park REBORN Free Entry Coupons
- Yellow Crown Collector: 3 1-hour 2x Experience Coupons
- Green Crown Collector: 5 Polo and Fritto Entry Coupons
- Purple Crown Collector: 1 6-hour Mind and Body Training Center Entry Charm
- Crown Stacking Expert: Crown Stacking Expert medal (5 all stats, 250 HP, 3 attack/magic attack, 20% bonus experience, stats and additional options expire in 10 days)
There is also a special mission where you are given a certain sentence to make using the Crowns, and if you can do so, you’ll receive the Crown Damage Skin.

Awwww…. Well thanks for telling me. saddly I had such big hopes for this game… I can’t belive they ruined it already ;(
It’s not that they ‘ruined it’, it was just never a good idea from the getgo. From the start, when they first showed off that awful cube-designed world in the first gameplay trailer, to the reveal that it would be an action RPG, and then the closed betas when they revealed the game was a worse, more generic grind than MS1.
The issue with the level cap being 30 at first then quickly expanded was a big issue, they quite literally dumped all the content they had within like 3 months of the game’s launch, and they’re actively developing right now. A bi-annual solstice schedule like maple 1 has will not work with a game where you are quite literally capable of having the best gear in a week of play. The customization is about the only saving grace to maple 2, and it’s still heavily censored, really unwieldy to create stuff, and expensive as hell. Plus the issue of PVP being a p2w shitfest, oh and buying potions, and being able to pay to reset boss entries(keys, which are also tied to PQs) and a bunch of other really really annoying dumb stuff.
Trust me, you’re not missing out on anything. Hype was built up entirely by a really small community of people who stopped playing maple forever ago (zelkova, spadow) and think their word means anything.

Yeah I don’t play it anymore and it’s honestly not doing well at all, the popularity has plummeted.
Even looking at content updates, the last big patch was way back in December with Rune Blader + fishing/music systems and since then, its just been minor patches with no actually new content.

Either Nexon is working really hard on fifth job, or we’re about to meet Gertrude, Silvester, and Gogoat, three more forgotten heroes who are all warriors that use new weapons called the “technically not a bow,” the “we can still call this character a warrior, yes?” and the “Weird horn-things.”
All three will be gender locked, and really overpowered.
Or, like they said in the interviews months ago, that they’ll be working on optimizing the game, and maybe having 2D skeleton animation applied to other older bosses (horntail, VL).
Why on earth is everyone assuming “5th job in 2016” means summer patch? It was never really that feasible. I mean, it’s possible, but it seems like they’d want to hype it up instead of saying nothing. Less talking usually means less content, which lends itself to the theory we’re gonna have a smaller summer patch with lots more under the hood changes, which is fine by me.
So yes, Eunwol, Gogoat, Gertrude, and Silvester woulds spell “Eggs.”

They will release a new Nova perhaps (seriously, there were 4 cubes, and Angelic Bu(r)ster took one). Or an official thief for the resistance (Xenon is NOT a thief, nor a pirate, just some hybrid stuff). However, there is the possibility of another random job (Kinesis was extremely random) I hope they won’t release another Cygnus “hero” though.
No matter how cute Mihile/Mikhail is, I still think it was a weird release. If they wanted to tell his story, they just could have released a short video/movie of 10 to 30 minutes, not like they have a lack of fund to do that.
As for 5th job, it might use the 2D skeleton animation. Which will take time, especially for 30+ jobs. They’ll have to release this for all of them at the same time, unless they want to cause an uproar or something. So IF it comes during the summer update, wow. But do not count on it. Even autumn would be surprising. I expect the drop for winter.
Oh yeah. And like 4th job, they will surely release a new area with their own bosses, NPCs, and mobs (which includes visual, sound effect, and music). So it’s not like they ONLY had to release 5th job like that in the wild. It has a load of work associated with it.
I mean, Ultimate skills rolled out aout 3 jobs at a time, and that was fine. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if fifth job did the same.
I’d actually appreciate it more, since there’d be time between releases to try out the new changes to each individual.
Plus, fifth job is equal to about three or four sets of ultimate skills. (Not in terms of skill count, but passive skills are generally really easy to code, being basically adding some numbers, and active things are a lot more complex. Ultimate skills gave you three active skills, one of which was basically a reskin of the same buff for every job.)
So a slow release of fifth job would actually make me really happy.
Ideal rollout for me would be:
First update:
-Explorer fifth jobs for bowmen, Thieves, and Pirates. (including canoneer and duel blade)
Second update:
-Explorer warrior & mage.
-Kinesis
third update:
-Resistence 5ths, including Xenon and Demon.
Fourth:
-Heroes including Eunwol
-Nova
-Anybody else I forgot about.
Fifth:
-Cygnus knights
-Mikhail
Explorers first because explorers. Kinesis I just stuck with the smallest section.
Resistance earlyish because my highest level is wild hunter .3.
Heroes after that, as they have some of the most solid ultimates, and can still hold their own for a while.
Cygnus last as a peice of self-referencialism, becuase cygnus used to level cap at 120.
Zero does not need a fifth job for obvious reasons, and Pink bean I don’t care about enough.
In terms of non-kms jobs, beast tamer has their own levelup system and doesn’t need a fifth job, Zenn and Jett should be updated with the explorers, and Hyato and Kanna should be patched out because they’re laggy and overpowered and make no sense and I don’t like them.
About the only smart thing you said was about the Cygnus knights. Apart from them, explorers should be LAST “because explorers”, and by “explorers”, I mean “self-entitled little buttholes like yourselves”

Second, they said that the reason it’s taking so long is because UNLIKE HYPER SKILLS [because that IDIOT over there keeps calling them Ultimate Skills], they’re doing them all at the same time.
Also, the fifth and second updates both have 6 people disregarding kinesis.
A REAL release order puts the REAL heroes before some everyday trash
First Part: Heroes, Nova, Kinesis, and Zero
Second: Resistance bc Demon Slayer and Xenon
Third: Cygnus BC Mihile
Fourth: Explorers because they’re nothing special
