MapleStory’s Winter Update – MapleStory Neo!
The winter update will be released in three parts:
- December 17: Signal
- January 7: Chaser of Darkness, Kain
- January 28: Hotel Arcs
Here’s a summary of the new things/updates coming:
- New level 260 area: Cernium
- New boss: Chosen Seren
- New level 270 area: Hotel Arcs (a hotel in the desert, featuring Senya Angler from the Savage Terminal story)
- Level cap increased to level 300
- 20% reduction in experience required from level 210-250
- Quest experience increased
- Monster Park Lacheln added
- Experience loss on death removed (experience acquired and drop rate will be temporarily decreased instead)
- Meso cap increased to 100b
- Damage cap removed
- New Nova archer job: Chaser of Darkness, Kain
The test server was just updated with some new content, but it’s 3 AM for me so I’m going to sleep, I’ll cover it tomorrow. Teaser: I hope you guys are ready for new symbol dailies 🙂

Which one are those dailies for?
1) New symbols of level 245+ areas?
2) Old areas symbol level cap increase?
3) Just to get to level 20 more quickly?

Why the new archer job could have Von Leon / Fafnir / Arcaneshade /… / version of weapons which seem to be exclusive to Maple World other than Grandis World ?

Symbol dailies refer to the new upcoming symbols which give you Grandis Force, for the new level 260 and up areas. It’s separate from Arcane Force. So yeah, hello to more new cancerous daily grinds.
omg WTF level cap to 300, my main I been playing for the past 5 years straight is only level 257. Jesus Christ they are progressing the game too fast just to out date the item content to get you to spend all over again, damn! Time to f2p made and only go unique main pots/rare bpots 17* no more going forward and pretend the content you can’t solo is not there lol

Didn’t kms say during the summer updates say there were no plans to release more 275+ content for at least another year or 2… Guess they were trying to surprise us by stating that before this lol
But these are 260 and 270 content, not 275+
does anyone have a clue if bowmasters/marksman are even able to switch to pathfinder during neo…
