kMSt ver. 1.2.467 – Newly Reborn Striker!
The patch containing the first Cygnus Knight reorganization, for the Striker job, has been released! Read on for more information! Note: for skill tables, I have listed all the skills they currently have in Tespia, not just the new ones, as to minimize confusion of which skills stayed or not (although most have been deleted).
Strikers can now reach level 200! Their job advancements have been changed to match the other classes (level 10, 30, 60, and 100). Their fourth job skills do not require mastery books. By the way, they still have Empress’ Blessing and Noble Mind, they didn’t remove those skills (at the moment, it may change in future patches).
For existing Strikers, their SP and AP have been reset, as well as their HP and MP, which will be determined by their job advancement and level. The creation of Ultimate Adventurers has been closed. Strikers can not do certain Knights of Cygnus quests.
The new Strikers use a really interesting chain system! Almost every skill (except AscendI believe) can be linked to one another, decreasing their delays and allowing you to combo them! It’s really fun to Ascend/Thunder across a whole map, destroying the monsters in your way, haha.
Beginner
Elemental Slash: Strike up to 3 enemies in front of you with a slash of unrefined elemental power dealing 190% damage.
Journey Home: Borrow Shinsoo’s aura to return to the side of the Empress. There is a cooldown of 30 minutes.
Elemental Harmony: Learn the harmony between the elements and increase your affinity for them, increasing your STR by 1 for every 2 character levels.
Elemental Expert: Your mastery over the elements decreases all your attack skill’s elemental properties by 100%. This skill is unlocked after your fourth job advancement.
Elemental Shift: Jump once again while in the air by pressing the jump key with an arrow key.
Cygnus Blessing: The awakened Empress’ blessing protects you from enemies’ attacks, increasing your resistance to states and elements by 5% (10% for level 2). If other Cygnus jobs exist within your account, you can stack this Link Skill up to 5 times, but the extra ones will have a reduced effect. (Link Skill)
First Job
Shark Tooth: Attack up to 4 enemies in front of you with your fist imbued with the power of lightning, dealing 160% damage two times. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder and itself. (max level: 20)
Flash: By concentrating your strength, instantly attack up to 4 enemies for 310% damage. You move instantly to the farthest enemy within range. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder, Thunderbolt, and itself. (max level: 20)
Element: Lightning: Summon the blue Lightning element to gain power, for 180 seconds, you will have a 10% chance when attacking to gain a buff that allows you to ignore 5% of their defence for 30 seconds. This effect does not stack more than once. (max level: 10)
Thunder I (?): The power of lightning enhances your body, giving you a 20% increase in the chance to gain a buff from one of your skills, as well as increasing the maximum stack of a buff by 1. Your speed is increased by 40%, jump by 20%, and maximum speed by 20%. (max level: 20)
Second Job
Shark Kick: Wash away up to 6 enemies around you with the aura of a powerful shark, dealing 155% damage four times. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder and itself. (max level: 20)
Water Wave: Flow through monsters like the sea, dealing 255% damage two times on up to 8 enemies while moving forward. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder and itself. (max level: 20)
Knuckle Booster: Increase your attack speed by 2 stages for 200 seconds. (required skill: level 5 Knuckle Mastery) (max level: 10)
Knuckle Mastery: Your mastery over the knuckle is increased by 50%, and your accuracy is increased by 120. (max level: 10)
Tempered: Through relentless training, your STR is increased by 60. (max level: 15)
Thunder II (?): Become more adept with the power of lightning, giving you a 20% increase in the chance to gain a buff from one of your skills, as well as increasing the maximum stack of a buff by 1. Your attack is increased by 20. (max level: 20)
Third Job
Ascend: Using the power of lightning, attack up to 6 enemies for 175% damage five times, soaring into the air. Thunder can be used afterwards. (max level: 20)
Thunder: Move like lightning while rushing down from the air, dealing 150% damage four times on up to 6 enemies. Can only be used while jumping or after using Ascend. Can be chained to any skill except itself. (max level: 20)
Tornado: Emit a tornado using the accumulated power from your continuously chained attacks, dealing 381% damage three times on up to 6 enemies. Can only be used when you have 3 or more stacked buffs. When used, receive a 3% damage buff for 60 seconds, which does not stack more than once. This skill’s buff cannot be used to activate this skill. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder and itself. There is a cooldown of 20 seconds. (max level: 20)
Vortex: Strong torrents are called to protect your body from attacks, increasing your resistance to states and elements by 30% for 180 seconds. (max level: 20)
Needle Carapace: Summon sharp, solid armor for 180 seconds, increasing your damage by 5% and decreasing damage taken by 10%. (max level: 10)
Chain: Masters of chained attacks will have their damage increased by 15% if they link their attacks together. (max level: 20)
Thunder III (?): Use the power of lightning more actively, giving you a 30% increase in the chance to gain a buff from one of your skills, as well as increasing the maximum stack of a buff by 1. Your attack is increased by 30. (max level: 20)
Fourth Job
Cygnus Knights: Receive the blessing of the awakened Empress, increasing the stats of all party members by 15% for 900 seconds. (max level: 30)
Annihilate: Give form to the power of lightning, dealing 250% damage two times on one monster in front of you. For each stacked buff you have, increase the number of attacks of this skill by 1. (max level: 30)
Thunderbolt: Use the power of the thunderbolt to annihilate up to 8 enemies in front of you, dealing 280% damage five times. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder and itself. (max level: 30)
Typhoon: Emit turbulent wind using the accumulated power from your continuously chained attacks, dealing 390% damage five times on up to 8 enemies. Can only be used when you have 2 or more stacked buffs. When used, receive a 6% damage buff for 60 seconds, which does not stack more than once. This skill’s buff cannot be used to activate this skill. Passive skill that upgrades Tornado. Can be chained to any skill except Thunder and itself. There is a cooldown of 10 seconds. (required skill: level 20 Tornado) (max level: 30)
Electric Charge: The power of lightning floats around you, causing your attacks to inflict an extra 45% damage for 180 seconds. There is a cooldown of 180 seconds. (max level: 30)
Wind Booster: Use HP and MP to temporarily improve your party members’ attack speed by 2 for 300 seconds. Can be used with other Boosters. (required skill: level 10 Knuckle Booster) (max level: 20)
Knuckle Expert: Your mastery over the knuckle is increased to 70%, your attack is increased by 30 and your minimum critical damage is increased by 15%. (required skill: level 10 Knuckle Mastery) (max level: 30)
Stimulation: Your nerves are electrically stimulated, giving you a tough body, increasing your HP and evasion rate by 20% while decreasing damage taken by 20%. (max level: 10)
Thunder God: Completely master the power of lightning, acquiring its essence, increasing the chance of Lightning, critical chance, and maximum critical damage by 30%, and the maximum stack of a buff by 1. (max level: 30)
Hyper
- Tornado – Reinforce: Tornado’s damage is increased by 20%. [required level: 143]
- Tornado – Extra Target: Tornado’s number of monsters hit is increased by 2. [required level: 162]
- Tornado – Bonus Attack: Tornado’s number of hits is increased by 1. [required level: 183]
- Thunderbolt – Reinforce: Thunderbolt’s damage is increased by 20%. [required level: 149]
- Thunderbolt – Extra Target: Thunderbolt’s number of monsters hit is increased by 2. [required level: 168]
- Thunderbolt – Bonus Attack: Thunderbolt’s number of hits is increased by 1. [required level: 189]
- Annihilate – Reinforce: Annihilate’s damage is increased by 20%. [required level: 155]
- Annihilate – Ignore Guard: Annihilate’s monsters’ defense ignored is increased by 20%. [required level: 177]
- Annihilate – Boss Killer: Annihilate’s damage to bosses is increased by 20%. [required level: 195]
Heaven and Earth (?): The cooldown and buff requirement of Tornado is removed, Element: Lightning’s debuff effect is increased to 9% defense ignore, and your damage is increased by 25% for 180 seconds. [required level: 150]
God of the Sea: Summon the god of the sea to surge through up to 15 enemies, dealing 400% damage 15 times. There is a cooldown of 90 seconds. [required level: 170]
Glory of Guardians: The knights who swore to protect Empress Cygnus undergo a sense of honor, increasing their damage by 10% and maximum damage by 5,000,000 for 60 seconds. This effect only applies to Knights of Cygnus in the party. There is a cooldown of 120 seconds. [required level: 200]

NO. FREAKING. MASTERY BOOKS. (Fan girl scream!~) First thing I did when I saw that before this entry was created. I totally loved my Thunder Breaker as it was simply for the Empress Blessing skill, and this is going to even make me love it more! Cannot wait, I guess I’m gonna save up to spend some big bucks on this game! Haha.
Btw, 4th job better be named “Poseidon” or something cool like, that, judging by all it’s phenomenal yet “liquid-ly” skills.

This is the Thunder Breaker class but Korea has a different name which is Striker so they are the same class but translated differently
So my TB will automatically get all the new skills and just stay at 120? 😀

Knowing Nexon they might make NW not a star required job any more….. Look back at all the range type jobs these days. Merc has Magic arrows so requires no arrows. Cannoner can shoot stuff out with no cannonballs. If they keep this up what is the point of making a job that requires Stars/arrows.
BTW: These days any jobs that requires Stars/arrows are the weakest of them all. Their damage is far lower than the other jobs and requires lots of funding just to make them close to the damage a new job can do. For example, lumi unfunded can do like 20-30k each line with Apocalypse and hits like 8x + the “shadow Partner” which does half of that so 15k x 8. NLs with no funding does like 12k per hit + their SP only giving them a total of 50% extra damage totaling about 72k. A lumi just need 2-3 hits from Apocalypse just to do the amount of damage a NL can do. BM as well are weak as hell.
I believe they truly need to give the jobs revamps so the can at least match the new class damage…. Or they should just make all then new jobs less OP. the more they make the jobs OP the more people want revamps for their class and then the cycle starts over again….
OT: If they dont make the revamp I am tranfering to a NW. It is a guarantee that the NW will be stronger and better than my NL. This way my damage can at least be my “deserved damage”.
And also they require no books for their 4th job adv. so it saves me so much more meso.

Similar to aran’s combo system or luminouses 4th job attack buff.
Did anyone else noticed thunder is a copy of the dual blade skill. Also is good that they didn’t give him a super large range skill or a skill like hurricane and linking skills was taken to a whole new level. oh and Max you forgot to say 100 for the fourth job at the start of the post.

Just to point out, their beginner skill increases their STR by 1 for every 2 levels, not 2 for every 1 level. That would be op ^_^
but it says increases str by “2” for EACH level you gain.

Also, I believe their Lightning/Thunder passive they get in each job refers to some sort of super-old ranking system judging from their 4th job which is just “Thunder God”. I’m fairly sure the first one “인” refers to “인간” but I’m not sure what the other two are…

I dunno, I have a 120 TB/Striker right now, and I don’t like how these skills look. The blue doesn’t fit as much as the yellow IMO, and I’m gonna miss Shark Wave so bad.

hopefully they’ll remove mastery books for other characters. I’d much rather have a quest system to gain skills rather than a mastery book system.

Looks alot like a combo of other classes, but the gameplay is original. Looks great imo. It sorta feels wierd to see blue instead of the usual lime-green. I’m very excited for this patch. I laughed when I realized this “god of the sea” is a whale LOL. I’m a bit sad about the closing of UA’s though..

What are these buffs that you can get from Thunder I? Also the only skill that says you can get one from is Element Thunder, and that only stacks once. I’m confuzzled.
Thunder 1 increases the max stacks of it to 2.

Only one thing im confused in, the lightning buffs which its says "Increase maximum buff of a stack by 1" , does that skill increase the stack of buffs which say "this skill can not be stacked more than once" ?
Pretty much. So those skills can be stacked up to 5 times by 4th job.

You are only losing 10 str from change because passive gives you 60 str if you are currently 120, it gets better after lvl cap changes to 200 than itll be like if you had 100 extra ap

For Element: Lightning, it has a max stack of 5 at fourth job I believe (with all the Thunder skills) but there’s also the buff from Tornado (which I’m not sure is used for Annihilate or not…)

Mihile was the most useless class made by Nexon. It was all reskins from other jobs and put it in one job. They better make all dawn warriors Mihile so they can save time and not care about warrior since they already have it out =D

There are so many new classes, and once they come to gms I want to play them all (Demon Avenger, Xenon and at least one of the new Cygnus Knights)…
21 in the real server, they’ll probably increase it to 22 once this Striker revamp comes out.

Shinsoo died and Cygnus grieves over him. Her power also helps the Cygnus trainers too which is quite awesome seeing Nexon gathered some hate over making the Cygnus Knights level 120. I would’ve liked to seen more Striker skills rather than a whole mishmash of new skills… The Authentic look of the striker has also been improved a bit I think :S

You cant really say all jobs are broken. When phantom came out i believe it was perfectthe way it is. It is not so OP like when DS, Merc, and Cannoner came out. Not sure about a decent funded Xenons’s damag but it doesnt look like it is gonna be so OP like Lumi….. GMS screwed it over letting us spam our skills ignoring the light and dark attribute….. I prefer KMS version…
xenon is op as hell. 20k range with really bad equips. And it can dodge, has stance, staus resistance, never dies, etc etc. This class is somewhat ok. it dies really quick, so the kinda high damage fits. i just hope they dont make all the other cygnus knights op.

Sorry, it’s just my opinion. Personally I think green looked cooler but you don’t have to think so. Also, I dunno what Wizet is planning so I can’t know if Wind Archer is going be green. Personally I think that existing grey/blue fits better to wind but if they are going to make it green, it’s okay to me :<
You seem to know nothing about pirates.. there is no more fitting scheme/color than this. Plus, lightning is more so than not, blue in most cases.

In Tespia you create a Striker by using the old Knights of Cygnus button and you only get to choose the default hair and eyes that regular Adventurers and Cygnus get, so no they don’t. But I think they’ll change it soon because they’re not gonna open the creation of the unrevamped Cygnus when they release Striker, right? So either he’ll get his own button (with maybe unique hair/eyes) or they’ll do something else.
How are those beginner skills given? At 1st job advancement?
Do Noblesse still have Three Snails? Can Noblesse or any of the jobbed Cygnus knights go past 120 yet, or did they find a way to code it in so only Striker can?
Yep, when you advance to 1st you get them.
No more Three Snails. And right now, when you create a KoC you start off at Lith and can only advance to a Striker, by talking to Mr. Goldstein.
A lot of Noblesse players are hoping for a higher level cap. Gotta wait and see. :<

I think that is correct and it was probably added so that the Striker does not experience bad damage on monster who have elemental resistance to the lightning element. Those are great new to the Female Boss, Lol. 😀

Ol I understand now Koc receives 60 ap before and after revamp gets 100 at lv 200. They still “keep” their 60 I suppose when they hit lv 120 which is in relation with their previous level cap

oh! you know what I think would be interesting if it happened,
so most likely they are going to do this whole new revamp on all the cygnus knights characters, making them into their own unique class branch (which I think is a nice change 😀 )
and maybe they are going to continue the canon characters of the actual cygnus knights as well, leaving their original powers like mihile. so it would be cool if they made a hawkeye character that can do shark wave and what not with the new skills like what they did to mihile.
that would be a nicer fit for the role of mihile instead of having him change with dawn warior revamp.

I am sorry to hear you are this frustrated about your old NL isnt as OP as it was, but from another point Nexon is doing a great strategy which you cant see or even dont understand. Adding new jobs can attract people which are having several lvl 200 chars to keep on playing, which means a way to keep their faithfull clients. Another point for adding new chars that are OP is that no funded new players can do good dmg so they wont get bored.
Can you imagine if they didnt add new jobs how many players they will loose? or just jobs that are UN-fancy as a paladin?
Beside that I think Nexon made Maplestory the best 2D MMNO, I dont think another 2D MMNO can be as succesfull as Maplestory in the coming years.
All with all Nexon is a succesfull company which can even keep the frustated you playing.

Max, Is their SP distribution the same as explorers (you can put extra sp on previous advancements) or resistance (fixed sp for every advancement)?
Also, do you know what happens if I used an SP reset before it hits the live server, not distribute it (therefore having 70+ extra).
