The second patch of the Creation 12 update has been released, including an expansion to Friends Story: Rock & Roll, as well as the return of the Freud’s Diary and Solo Unit events.

The 6th chapter of Friends Story, New Student Demian and the Burning Rock Soul has been released. You can go to the wardrobe in Henesys to access it. It can only be started once you have finished the first 5 chapters.

For completing this chapter, you’ll get 2 Silver Needles and the Charge! Irena Band Chair (although it expires in 21 days…).

A mysterious rock beat has been playing in Shinsoo International School, causing students to be infected by a rock virus which changes them into misbehaving punks.

Demian’s band consists of him and the four Seal Guardians of Root Abyss. Their appearances are perfect haha.

In this new chapter, you’ll help Irena’s band beat Demian’s by playing a minigame where you use the arrow keys and space bar to play the correct notes.

 

I really enjoyed Friends Story so I’m looking forward to this expansion!

 

Many things have been added and improved on for Friends Story.

The difficulty of the hunting and collecting quests has been lowered. This will reduce stress on users and allow them to focus on the story more.

This includes the Old Building dungeon which is open after the Chapters are completed, which now takes less time to complete so users can level up their badges and collect Needles faster.

In addition, all the Dust Zones have had their time limit increased from 5 minutes to 10 minutes.

Repeat Play has been added. By talking to Elwynn, you can reset your progress from Chapter 1~6.

From 8-9PM, Orca will call and you can complete a special mission once per day for special reward items, such as the Pillow Fight Chair.

On your second and later playthroughs, there are now different endings for each chapter, and at the end of Chapter 5, you now have more choices of NPCs to call in order to receive different rewards.

This includes Lilin, the White Substitute Teacher, Helena, and Hilla/Magnus.

During your repeated plays, there are hidden stories and quests which you can access. These will give special rewards, such as the I’m Not a Squid title and No Couples in Front of Me title.

Help Irena’s Band play their song Catch Your Dreams! in a new rhythm minigame.

Until March 31, all Friends Story quests will give 50% bonus experience! And for completing each Chapter, you’ll get twice the amount of Needles.

The boss Hilla‘s limit of parties per channel in Normal Mode has been increased.

The boss Empress Cygnus now uses a Death Count system, similar to the Root Abyss bosses. Users will each have 5 deaths before they are not allowed to resurrect in the map.

Cygnus will now also drop the level 140 shoulderpad items, which previously were only available through Shadow Empress in the Evolving World.

After completing certain story quests, Xenon, Kaiser, and Angelic Burster can now learn the Will of the Alliance skill.

In the Auction House, a new button now allows you to collect all goods from your completed auctions.

Elite Bosses will now give experience upon being defeated.

The Strange Cube, Craftsman Cube, and Meister’s Cube now use the same UI as the Red and Black Cubes, meaning you can continually use them without having to double-click them in your inventory again. After using one, you’ll get the option to ‘use one more’ if available.

Locked items can no longer be cubed.

The 15 minute trade restriction if you log in with a different IP than usual has been changed to apply to the whole account, instead of one a character-by-character basis.

Skills that are prerequisites for future skills will now display in the tooltip what level they must be for those skills to be unlocked.

The first event is the Solo Unit vs. Couple Unit event for White Day, which runs from now until March 25.

You’ll have to choose one of two sides, the Solo Unit or the Couple Unit, based on if you prefer to be single or in a relationship haha.

Collect Candy Points from monsters around your level and spend them at Mosolinas’ shop, where you can buy special items.

In addition, for collecting 1000 Candy Points per day, you’ll get extra prizes.

• 1 day: Solo/Couple Unit Battle Armor/Cape
• 4 days: Involuntary Single/Success, Romanticist Medal (3 all stats, 2 attack and magic attack)
• 5 days: 20,000 Honor and 10% Clean Slate Scroll
• 6 days: Special Potential Scroll and 50% Innocent Scroll
• 7 days: Eternal Flame of Reincarnation and Special Additional Potential Scroll

On the 3rd day, you can choose to defect to the other side if you wish.

The story of Freud after the sealing of the Black Mage, Freud’s Diary: Episode 1 – Onyx Ring will return on March 19, and will run until April 8.

It starts with you finding an old soldier named Anello being attacked by the Dark Warrior Mokadin (one of the Elite Bosses). After you save him, he gives you a few items.

• Onyx Ring “Encounter” – 1 all stats, 10 HP and MP, 20 defense and magic defense (summons the Element Onyx)
• Damage Skin Storage Scroll – allows you to store one Damage Skin inside it while you are using another, you can switch them out at any time (scroll expires in 90 days)
• Freud’s Diary

The Onyx Ring is the basis of this event, as you bond with it, it evolves and gets better stats. But along the way, Freud’s words come to you in the form of his diary, and they’re actually really sad…

In order to upgrade to the Onyx Ring “Share”, you must defeat 999 monsters for Anello. It gives 2 all stats, 20 HP and MP, and 10/20% chance to inflict a status condition.

After doing so, you’ll be able to choose an element for your ring. Each element gives a chance to inflict a different status condition, and at the 2nd growth, they will give different stats.

• Fire: chance to inflict Slow (2nd Growth – maximum critical damage increase)
• Lightning: chance to inflict Stun (2nd growth – critical chance increase)
• Ice: chance to inflict Freeze (2nd growth – minimum critical damage increase)
• Earth: chance to inflict Blind (2nd growth – resistance to statuses and elements)
• Poison: chance to inflict Poison (2nd growth – defense ignore increase)
• Light: chance to inflict Seal (2nd growth – boss damage increase)

Choosing your element can only be done once and cannot be changed. The colour of the Onyx which is summoned when you wear the ring will change based on the element.

You can upgrade your “Share” ring to the Onyx Ring “Complete” after April 3 by defeating 1 Normal Zakum. Now, the ring will gain the specific stat I mentioned above, 10% to be exact (e.g. 10% critical chance increase, 10% boss damage, etc). These rings are like Dojo gloves in that their stats are given through ‘Special Potential’ and cannot be cubed.

The “Growth” Ring gives 3 all stats, 30 HP and MP, with 20% chance to inflict the status. It gains 10 slots and the ability to level up (to a max of level 5). After levelling up fully, the ring will give an extra 7 all stats and 70 HP/MP.

The Onyx will reach its final form, a fairy. This effect will not appear if you have another item such as the Angelic Blessing equipped.

There are also a bunch of side quests you can do while this event is going on. The first is Time with the Onyx Ring, which requires you to hold an item for 30 minutes. After completing this, you can choose one of three buffs: one that gives 1.5x experience, one that gives 30 attack, or one that gives 30 magic attack, all lasting 30 minutes.

You can do this up to 4 times per day.

There’s also Arnello’s Daily Training. Each day, he will give you the choice of one of 5 different options to train your Onyx Ring.

• Defeat 300 monsters around your level
• Clear Monster Park 3 times
• Complete [Befriending the Onyx Ring] one time
• Defeat Easy Zakum
• Get 100+ Combo Kill

Completing it will give you the choice of a certain prize depending on the week. For the first week of the event, you’ll get Scroll Traces and Eternal Flames of Reincarnation.

For the second and third weeks, you’ll get the choice of one of 10 scrolls for the Onyx Ring “Complete”.

• Strong XXX’s Onyx Stone: 100% chance to give XXX, 1 attack, and 15 defense
• Wise XXX’s Onyx Stone: 100% chance to give XXX, 1 magic attack, and 15 magic defense

XXX can be 4 STR/DEX/INT/LUK, 200 HP, or 2 all stats.

For each of the three weeks of this event, there’s a weekly challenge which will reward you with special items.

3. Reminiscence Damage Skin, Meister’s Cube

In the Cash Shop, the Friends Pet package is available now, featuring Lilly and Elwynn from Friends Story as well as Nero from Orbis haha. You can also buy them separately.

The Friends Story Box is also available, opening it will give you one of 5 hats or accessories (shown above).

Pandora’s Box has been updated, with the level 145 Scarlet weapons, boss Souls, and the Shining Feather weapons.

Epi’s Box has also been updated, with new ridings and new chairs.
