MapleStory Spring Update Teaser – New Job, Ribbon Pig!
If you guys remember, last year around this time, Nexon announced the Pink Bean job to us. And this year, we will be receiving MapleStory’s second monster job, Ribbon Pig! I guess this is going to become a yearly thing haha.
EDIT: For those of you who did not realize, yeah this was an April Fool’s joke! But all the stuff is actually real and was added in the game last year for an event with a real life product called Piggy Bars.
Ribbon Pig will be a new, limited-time playable class just like Pink Bean. He comes from the Friends Story world!
Tired of being thought of as just the mascot of the single most popular snack in Friends World, Piggy Bars, Ribbon Pig has decided to make his way to Maple World and make a name for himself!
Ribbon Pig uses his trusty Piggy Bar as his weapon to beat up monsters. He unlocks more skills as he levels up and can equip Warrior equipment.
You can complete various challenges on Ribbon Pig to unlock prizes for the rest of your account, like a whole set of Piggy Bar equipment and a Piggy Bar Damage Skin!

I thought this was just an april fools joke cause those ingame pictures are just obvious bannedstory mockups or something of the like but I don’t know that concept art and the animations look pretty good. you fooled me if it’s just a joke max, 10/10. I would love a piggy bar class. Especially if even after being slammed into dirt it STILL TASTES LIKE PORK

Just replace that candy bar with a rock fist. Its the exact same data, just sugar coated. What is with Nexon recycling data recently? First that Blaster class, now this.
As for the actual event, there better be a REALLY good incentive to do any of this. Pink bean was fun, but the only real incentive to do that was to get a 10% boss damage title, which three months later, KMS came out with that 5%boss and 5%PDR title that you get for beating all of the root abyss chaos bosses.
Though the Pdr is kinda worthless if you have more than 70% already, as it won’t make that much of a difference. Real bumber that they kinda made that event pointless. Still, I had fun with PinkCena(Da-Da-da-DA!) being that I was the most powerful Pink bean in all of GMS(I had 1.29-1.35 mil range base)(my equips were insanely lucky, getting a chaos Horntail pend. with a total of +13%str, +9%all, and +9%str, and a bonus of +6%str, +3%all, and +1% hp. I only had to use one cube to get from the Unique that I picked it up from, to that legendary)
I’s also confused as to why. This was the preceding the current Reboot world, and I thought that the Pink bean was simply an experiment for the process of how much of a damage multiplier/Drop rate for Reboot, an experiment of a large scale to see how it would work. So…? Is this some type of experiment for 5th job?
I really hate to say this, but JUST GIVE US 5TH JOB ALREADY!
