KMS ver. 1.2.254 – Extra Skill Balancing!
Hope you guys had a good April Fool’s Day! For those of you that did not already realize, my last post was indeed a joke, but the content itself was an event that took place last year that I never covered haha. Nexon Korea’s only April Fool’s Day thing this year was changing everyone’s Damage Skin to one of the ones above randomly for the day (ㅋㅋㅋ is basically haha/lol, so imagine your damage just showing LOLOLOL).
Anyways, a couple of minor patches were released, the first was just bug fixes but the second actually included some extra skill changes so I’ll go over them.
Since this is a minor patch, I’ll be editing my previous post for ver. 1.2.254 to include these extra skill changes so you won’t have to look for both of the posts if you ever want to see them later!
Skill Related
All Jobs
- In the air movement skills: an error where you could not use Double Jump for a certain period of time after using such skills has been fixed
Adventurers
Return to Maple: an error where non-Dual Bladers/Cannon Shooters had Return to Maple removed has been fixed
Dark Knight
Sacrifice: in addition to existing effects Sacrifice’s cooldown is now decreased by 0.5 seconds every time Beholder attacks, an error where summoning Beholder would cause this buff to disappear has been fixed,
Archmage (Fire/Poison)
Fire Aura: in addition to existing effects, Fire Aura now passively increases your maximum damage cap by 5,000,000
Archmage (Ice/Lightning)
Ice Aura: in addition to existing effects, Ice Aura now passively increases your maximum damage cap by 5,000,000
Bishop
Vengeance of Angel: in addition to existing effects, Vengeance of Angel now passively increases your maximum damage cap by 5,000,000
Captain
Battleship Bomber: all Battleship Bombers’ ranges have been increased, an error where the client would occasionally close while using this skill has been fixed, an error where this skill would disappear and reappear when changing directions has been fixed
Mikhail
Advanced Soul Shield: in addition to existing effects, Advanced Soul Shield now decreases damage taken from % HP attacks by 10% for 15 seconds after successfully using Royal Guard
Demon Slayer
Demon Slash – Remain Time Reinforce: duration has been increased from 3 seconds to 4 seconds
Blue Blood: cooldown reduction when absorbing Force has been adjusted from 5 second decrease for every 100 Force absorbed to 3 seconds for every 50 Force absorbed, in addition to existing effects if you use Blue Blood while Infinity Force is active its cooldown will be decreased by an additional 2 seconds every 4 seconds
Xenon
Pinpoint Rocket: has been changed into an On/Off skill (when you attack they will automatically fire)
Kinesis
Psychic Force: an error where monsters would recover HP when affected by the DoT has been fixed
Psychic Force 2: an error where monsters would recover HP when affected by the DoT has been fixed
Psychic Force 3: an error where monsters would recover HP when affected by the DoT has been fixed
Game Related
When a Kritias Invasion begins, you will no longer be taken to a specific channel, you will immediately start the invasion in your current channel.
In the Maple Auction, the text input when selling items has been changed to be made more clear.
In the Maple Auction, when you sell a pet, their names will now be maintained.
Client lag when killing monsters that apply to a quest’s conditions has been improved.
An error where you would sometimes not be able to see the Haste event UI has been fixed.
Cash Related
Reboot World’s Hair/Eye Coupons have been updated.
An error where the Muse Crystal weapon would not show certain images when equipped on a Mercedes has been fixed.
Event Related
The Return! Solo Army vs Couple Army event will begin on April 7 and they finally added an event notice for it so I’ll cover it in my last post if you guys are interested.

If it’s actuallly better, then it will be really good.
Isn’t it an issue in GMS too? Where if you have too many kill quests active you start lagging out? At least there’s a fix for it.
It is an issue in GMS and you start lagging if you have even one kill quest.
I’m curious whether this is actually a fix or just a slight “improvement.”
I don’t think I’ve ever experienced lag from it or maybe I assumed it was just regular server lag or something, so I can’t really say.

Dang, mages can have up to 130m cap now, this looks really OP, I don’t know what’s Nexon thinking.
Correction, 110m cap for about 5 seconds every 3 minutes. Their normal cap is 55m. Most other classes either have a hurricane type skill which has many more hits per second or otherwise will have a damage cap of 70-80m. 55m is quite low, and unless you have ridiculous buff duration on Infinity, you won’t be able to maintain 100-120m for more than 10% of the time.
Most classes…? Right.. cause only the OP classes are worth playing anyways.
I wonder why they don’t limit WH DPS more, like reducing the max another bite debuffs, so far every class will be pretty balanced except WH…
Dude WH was already nerfed twice in a row, its bad enough, they don’t need anymore balancing
They can still reach high DPS, making it possible to do 3:xx chaos Vellum. I meant like buff in damage of another bite but limit it to up to 2 another bite debuffs. Kaiser and BM got nerfed their max hits per seconds possible, while increasing the damage.
I don’t get it. Why have extending maximum damage effects if the cap is going to be removed anyway?
because they might not be introducing 5th job till next year’s summer updates. They SAID 2016 but that’s still a REALLY REALLY long time away regardless, another 7-8 months before the updates start, and it’ll probably be a huge amount of patches to slowly get all this shit in before it’s actually out and available to players.
I got excited seeing the little Cannoneer avatar crying and giving a thumbs up. No Cannoneer buffs though.

Also, just curious about that DK buff tho- by every time Beholder attacks, does that apply only to the attacks given in 3rd job(beholder shock and Dominant), or does that also apply to the counter skill as well?(Beholders Revenge) Because if that is the case, that’s an amazing buff altogether. I would assume(since you don’t have the numbers on the patch notes yet) that minus one second for every attack would be highest amount, as anything higher would be kinda broken, considering that you could get -1 with counter(touch damage on a boss per say) with the lack of invincibility frames, could reapply the buff after approx. under 30 seconds, which is the base buff duration(I dunno if it can be increased)
Even if the case ends up that Beholder’s revenge cannot activate -1 sec, The cooldown reduction is still very cool, and pushes Dk to use Beholders other attacks, which just means more lines for them as well.

What happened to MS2? Even this blogger lost interest on it that there has been lesser posts?… I think NX delayed the release in NA for too long, that I don’t even want to play it now…
It’s not doing too hot. It’s not dying or failing, but it’s nowhere near what nexon was hoping for in terms of players, i’m sure. It’s just a generic action RPG that’s super p2w in regards to pretty much everything. Gotta buy keys to go for good loot in endgame bosses/pqs, gotta buy elixirs to be good in pvp, gotta buy a house for good buffs, crafting, and storage. I won’t even begin to go in to how you have to be good at PVP to get one of the better merchants for good gear, which feeds right back into the p2w thing with needing to buy elixirs. Got potion lock to fuck anyone who doesn’t farm them or just buy them.
Max never really liked the game in the first place though (I don’t think he got past level 30, if he even hit that, I haven’t played since they raised the cap myself and max was at like level 15)
The reason the NA release has been “delayed” is because nexon is testing it in the markets that make money instead of losing it. Nexon NA is one of the smallest branches in regards to profitability, bigger than europe and the other small subdivisions, but china and korea still smash it’s revenue. Anyway NA is one of the last territories they aim for, next to europe and SEA markets. The game isn’t even out in china, and that will be the real test. If it does well there, we’ll see a global release being much more likely. I wouldn’t hold my breath though. If you really want to play MS2, buy an account and play now or you may miss your chance. My favorite reference for this is dragonball online. SO hyped up, much larger of a property than maple, and it still never made it past china. That’s like the big boss of localization. If you can strike profit in the land of WoW bots and people who still play rf online, then you can make it anywhere.

Max, I’ve watched a 1.2.254 update video from KMS and all it said was pinpoint rocket’s cooldown is reduced for xenon, no mention of it being an on/off skill. Heres the vid at 1:18: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAshgeC1_oM

That video does not go in depth with the changes/is from 1.2.53 so it doesn’t include the extra changes in this patch
