MapleStory Private Showcase ‘Hi-Five’!
On June 26 from 3pm to 5pm at Nexon Arena, Nexon will be hosting a MapleStory private showcase titled Hi-Five! Only 150 people will receive an invitation to the event.
This will probably be our first look at the summer update and maybe even a 5th job teaser? I don’t think it will be released in the summer because it’s going to be a ton of work and they probably will need to test it for a while (I think 4th job was in Tespia for like 6 months?).

Asiasoft recently held a “Meet the Players” session and hinted that MapleSEA is rushing patches and might be getting 5th job by this year. Can’t wait for more info about 5th job!
If you think msea is getting 5th job this winter, I have bad news for you.

You can join this group and see for yourself. It was mentioned that MSEA might be getting it during a conference held after a exploit in MSEA.
GMS contacted me and invited me to a community summit recently too.
If you’re actually being serious, you should post a picture of the email if it doesn’t have any sensitive information in it, excluding the location/date of the summit lest we have dozens of people showing up. Is it a similar format to the highfive pic here?
Did you do a survey or questionnaire to get selected, like the people on KMS have to/are currently doing?
Well, I answered a survey and had to submit a video. I don’t want to risk talking about it too much since they mentioned signing an NDA (though that’s probably for what we’ll see there). It hasn’t exactly been advertised, as far as I can tell, too. I don’t want to risk ruining something so I’m gonna keep my mouth shut until something happens.
I’d probably wind up posting to the subreddit if I get to go, though.
I think I can safely say we get to look at the behind-the-scenes stuff. Also, there will be food, probably some of it will be kimchi.

You defend nexon NA, but you’re not literally being paid to do so like zelkova is. You just want to see the good in them. Which is admirable because they’re so fucking crooked as to steal patch notes from our own dear max here and not even give credit.
Like really, i’m STILL mad that they’ve done that not once, not twice, not even three times, but like seven times. Right down to the formatting.
Hi-Five, 5th job confirmed. We definetely gonna here more about it in a month, so maybe in summer it comes to KMST?
I don’t even recognise this game anymore…. haven’t played it ages.
Well I tried downloading again but I can’t even play… can’t click play or click on card thingy button or create new hero. And if I go back a screen I can’t go back to server/character selection again.
I asume the game works under Windows 10? Anyone else know of these issues? I can’t find anything simular.

Windows 10 is known for being weird with games for now (I’ve heard that one automatic update made a streamer’s game glitchy, or maybe it was the automatic update that restarted the streamer’s PC…), but I can’t help you more besides telling you that. Anyway, stay with Windows 8/8.1 if you want to play games, you never know what Windows 10 might pull on you.
It restarted the guys PC, cuz he didn’t change a setting to not auto restart. Windows 10 works fine for me on maple, however I cant get the Nexon launcher to work well on anything even if the game starts it just has problems afterwards.
So my suggestion would be to use the old launcher, and if that doesn’t work try reinstalling or running in a service pack. Could also be a hardware problem, make sure all drivers are up to date.
Why am I so not going to be surprised when it’s going to be a 5th 2-part patch about how awesome and hyped nexon is? 😐

It was literally less than 6 months ago they even confirmed 5th job was actually a REAL, LEGITIMATE thing. the RED teaser was just that, a teaser, and didn’t say anything.
I’d figure people would be happy knowing that it actually exists, but no, you still have to find inane stuff to bitch about. Really.

No poster ANYWHERE said that it was coming this summer, just that it was coming in 2016.
You were setting yourself up for disappointment if you believed they were going to announce fifth job was coming a few months before it was due to drop.

Regardless of whether or not 5th job is either in the summer, winter, or perhaps a random autumn update(just to throw the fans off) I wish Max luck if he is trying to get into that invitational. Fingers crossed!
Also, I am making a list, as sorta a hype-up, of the most wanted things for 5th job. I already got some ideas(like give siege mode/something like that back to mech) but if people would like to contribute, just leave a reply. I will release the list once I have all the jobs get something new.

What’s the point? This game is pretty much dead, i only lurk sometimes to see if they’re already closing it.
It’s pretty popular in korea and china still.

Max doesn’t usually talk about GMS or EMS stuff though. What’s more interesting is that according to this blog post lots of areas are having similar showcase/meetups/events. Maybe a global launch for this winter’s content? Still not even any hints on what the summer patch is for KMS either, which is strange.
