KMS ver. 1.2.311 – MapleStory Adventure: Momentum!

maplestory adventure momentum

The first patch of this year’s winter update, MapleStory Adventure, has been released! It is titled Momentum and contains a ton of content reorganizations/improvements, a new theme dungeon, and the beginning of the Adventure events.

In addition, Nexon added the assets for the new class in this official server patch!! The new class is confirmed to be called Pathfinder, and is an Adventurer archer class!

Winter Schedule

The update is split into three patches:

  • Momentum (January 10)
  • Pathfinder (January 31)
  • Squad (February 28)

Here’s the assets that were snuck into the patch files! I think it’s for an upcoming pre-creation event as this class will be coming to the official servers on January 31 (so KMST on January 17 or 24 probably!). I’ll translate the little blurb that they have on the character creation screen.

A curious adventurer fascinated by ancient relics. They are an archer who can use ancient power due to the effects of a curse obtained while on an expedition.

Wielding an exclusive weapon, the Ancient Bow, their special characteristic is linking 3 basic archery skills in battle to charge up the Relic Gauge, which allows you to use powerful skills.

Attack: 4/5
Defense: 2/5
Difficulty: 3/5

So basically, the third archer adventurer is literally an adventurer, and gained their weapon (a new one!) while on an expedition (which I assume will be its tutorial).

Question: I saw that KMS changed up Kritias prequests so that you no longer fight a separate set of mobs for the questline, instead just fighting the normal mobs you would for dailies. This makes me wonder: can we use a Hyper Teleport Rock (or the KMS equivalent, I know you guys don’t have HTR) within Kritias now?

    • Max
      January 12, 2019 at 9:41 pm

I put a Teleport World Map on my character that didn’t do any of the quests yet and it could teleport inside Kritias

        January 15, 2019 at 8:55 pm

Cool. I’m going to assume that you can teleport freely now regardless of quests or not. Thanks.

    • Anonymous
      January 11, 2019 at 2:05 am

We’ll know around the 24th when the tespia patch goes live. It’s uncharted waters since DB and cannoneer weren’t allowed to switch between the other explorer classes until well after their release. I can’t imagine they’ll just let you switch over a like 250+ class to pathfinder right off the bat, though. There’s probably going to be some sort of restriction for a month or something, like there is for burning new classes (ark being the most recent)

    • Max
      January 12, 2019 at 9:41 pm

I doubt it, they’re probably gonna block it for a while. If someone can just instantly change jobs we’ll have level 275 ones as soon as they release lol.
