KMS ver. 1.2.407 – Epic Dungeon: Nightmare Paradise!

Hey guys, long time no see! I did see a few posts and comments asking where I was and if I was okay, so thanks for your concern, I appreciate people worrying about me haha 😳 I was on vacation for the past couple of weeks, so I wasn’t home during the KMST patch day and I didn’t get back until after the KMS live server update either. I’ve been a bit jetlagged plus a bit busy catching up on my real j*b and some real life stuff so this post is pretty late.

To save myself some time, I decided to just skip translating the KMST patch notes and the Maple Now stream that Changseop did.

Anyways, this patch features the second set of skill changes, the new level 280 Epic Dungeon: Nightmare Paradise, the 4th Union Champion slot unlocked, as well as a variety of improvements and a new two month event themed around the Maple Hideout, the MapleStory PC Bang that Nexon will be opening in Seoul later this year.

Common

  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Display my character silhouette in boss content’ feature did not match the character’s actual location when using certain skills.

    • You can now use this skill with the down arrow key to re-summon the phalanx to your location.
    • The cooldown has been increased from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
    • The duration has been decreaseed from 22.5 seconds to 15 seconds.
    • The damage has been increased from 900% to 1350%.
    • The attack interval has been decreased by about 63%.
    • The number of hits has been increased from 65 to 130.
  • Resistance Infantry
    • The cooldown has been increased from 25 seconds to 60 seconds.
    • The duration has been increased from 10 seconds to 15 seconds.
    • The damage has been increased from 415% to 623%.
    • You can now use the skill again to resummon the infantry.
  • Aura Weapon
    • This skill will no longer activate Special Cores and Continuous Ring.
    • Fixed an issue where sometimes the damage was not applied.
  • Ethereal Form
    • You can now use other skills during this skill.
  • Guided Arrow
    • The cast effects for Pathfinder, Wild Hunter, and Kain have been changed.
  • Ascent skills’ attack ranges have been increased by about 54%.
  • Loaded Dice
    • The cooldown has been decreased from 10 seconds to 1 second.
  • Pirate Flag
    • The monster defense ignore effect is now applied to the caster for the entire duration. The buff effect will be applied to party members near the Pirate Flag.
    • Fixed an issue where if multiple Pirate Flags were summoned, certain effects would not apply the higher level.
  • Fatal Strike I
    • The duration has been increased from 2 seconds to 4 seconds.

    • Level 280 or higher characters who have completed the ‘[Arteria] Postwar Training’ and ‘[Epic Dungeon] The One That Reached the Secrets in the Deep Sea’ quests.
  • Participation Method:
    • You can participate in the Story Mode after completing the ‘[Epic Dungeon] Nightmare Paradise’ quest through the NPC Serazar in the Operations Center.
    • You can enter the Nightmare Paradise Dungeon on a character that has completed the Nightmare Paradise Story Mode. You will receive rewards after clearing the Dungeon.
    • The Nightmare Paradise Dungeon consists of a total of 7 stages. Even if you leave while playing, you can continue from the previous stage when you re-enter.

The Plasma Heart is a new level 130 heart item that can be Star Forced up to 20 stars with the following stats.

Red Account

To strengthen the response to abnormal game behaviour and to foster a fair gaming environment for all users, the Red Account trade restriction system will be introduced.

Red Account System

  • Certain Maple IDs that violate the operating policy will be designated as ‘Red Accounts’.
  • When the Red Account is applied, all characters within that Maple ID will be restricted from using certain trade systems.
  • You can check Red Account information and proceed with removing it through the Maple Admin NPC.

Red Account Trade Restrictions

  • Unable to use item trade and Cash item trade with other characters.
  • Unable to purchase, sell, or re-list items in the Maple Auction.
  • Unable to send items/mesos through courier or express delivery.
  • Unable to sell mesos in the Meso market.
  • Dropped items will disappear instantly, regardless of their tradeability.
  • Unable to drop mesos.

※ However, items used for certain content can be dropped normally.

Red Account Removal Method

  • Red Account can be removed through the Maple Admin NPC. Depending on the level of your abnormal gameplay, you can pay an appropriate amount of mesos to remove it.
  • Red Account removal can only be done within the world group where the sanction occurred. All characters in that group can proceed with the removal.
  • The minimum amount of mesos required to remove Red Account is 100m mesos.

Daily Operation

Once per day, you can click the <Daily Operation> in the Hideout Operation Journal UI to accumulate the following rewards.

  • 3 3x Experience Coupons (30 Minutes)
  • 5 Food Coupons
  • 5 Drink Coupons

You can claim your desired amount of accumulated 3x Experience Coupons by pressing the ‘Receive’ button in the UI.

You can use the accumulated Food Coupons and Drink Coupons in the ‘[Event Skill] Maple Hideout Special Menu’ event.

You can complete the Daily Operation up to 5 times per week. You can complete it up to 40 times over the event period.

You can click the Hideout Pass <Use> button at the bottom left corner of the UI to use 3,000 Maple Points to complete 1 Daily Operation that you did not complete previously. The <Hideout Pass> can be used up to the number of times you did not complete the Daily Operations as of the previous week.

You can acquire the following rewards each time you complete a Daily Operation. You can also choose to receive Hideout Coins instead of the reward.

[Growth Sharing Event] Hideout Duo

Become a Maple Hideout manager, form a Hideout Duo with your crew, and grow together!

Event Participation Requirements:

  • A level 260 or higher character (or a Zero character that has completed story quest Chapter 2) that has participated in the ‘[Attendance Check Event] Hideout Operation Journal’ event.

Event Period:

  • September 18, 2025 after the maintenance ~ November 19, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

You can select the ‘[Maple Hideout] Maple Hideout Open’ in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to start this event with the other Maple Hideout events. You can also select the ‘[Growth Sharing Event] Hideout Duo’ event in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to start.

You can first select the world you want to start the event in, then select characters to assign as the Manager and the Crew. You have to select the character you want to assign as the Manager first.

After selecting the Manager, a quest to defeat monsters within your level range to accumulate ‘Managing Points’ and ‘Break Room Points’ (available only to the Manager) will be started automatically.

Once you’ve assigned both the Manager and Crew, the Crew will follow the designated Manager when moving through maps and relogging.

You can swap positions between the Manager and the Crew by clicking the ‘Swap Positions’ button on the right side of the Manager area in the UI. (For example, when swapping positions, the Manager character will become the Crew character and vice versa.)

※ You can only start and progress the event on the 1 selected world and the Challengers World you created a character in, based on the Maple ID. The progress is shared between the two. (For example, if you assign a character in the selected world as the Manager, you can assign a character in Challengers World as the Crew.)

※ After you assign characters, you cannot change the world you are participating in or the assigned characters.

※ If you leap to a world other than the selected world on a Manager or Crew after assigning the characters, the designation will be removed.

※ If you have used up all of your Challengers World number of leaps, you cannot assign characters from that Challengers World.

※ The feature where the Crew follows the Manager can be turned on/off using the ‘Hideout Duo’ skill in the Skill window. This feature is only active in hunting grounds with monsters within your level range or in towns.

※ You can only use the Swap Positions feature if you have used all of your Managing Points and earned all of the Break Room Experience with the Hideout Duo character that is not currently logged in.

Managing Points and Break Room Points

Managers can earn Managing Points and Break Room Points by defeating monsters within their level range.

For every 250 monsters defeated by the Manager, you will acquire 1 Managing Point. For every 2,500 monsters defeated, you will acquire 1 Break Room Point. You can defeat up to 50,000 monsters per week.

Managing Points can be used in Duo Managing, and Break Room Points can be used in the Hideout Break Room.

※ You can only earn Managing Points and Break Room Points if you defeat monsters within your level range while you are in a party of 1 or are not in a party.

※ Managing Point and Break Room Point weekly earn records are reset every Thursday at midnight.

※ Managing Points and Break Room Points accumulated weekly will be maintained.

※ In the Cross-World Boss Content <Dimensional Battlefield>, the number of monsters defeated within your level range will not increase.

Duo Managing

You can login as the designated Manager or Crew and click the ‘Trade’ button in the UI to use your earned ‘Managing Points’.

When you use Managing Points, you can trade them for experience and Sol Erda Energy based on the Manager or Crew’s level.

※ If you trade Managing Points as the Manager, there will be a 70% penalty applied.

※ If a level 300 character trades Managing Points, you can only trade for Sol Erda Energy.

※ The amount of Sol Erda Energy traded for Managing Points at one time cannot exceed the maximum number of Sol Erda you can hold (20).

Hideout Break Room

Characters designated as the Manager or Crew can enter the <Maple Hideout: Hideout Break Room> by clicking the ‘Move’ button in the Hideout Break Room section of the UI.

If you enter the <Maple Hideout: Hideout Break Room> with remaining Break Room usage time, both the Manager and Crew will acquire experience based on their level every 5 seconds.

※ If a level 294 or higher character enters the Hideout Break Room, they will receive the same experience as a level 294 character.

※ 2 hours of Break Room usage time is provided by default every week. It resets every Thursday at midnight.

※ For the other Hideout Duo character that is not currently logged into when using the Hideout Break Room, they will receive experience equivalent to the amount of Break Room usage time used by the currently logged in character when you login to that character.

※ Level 300 characters can also enter the Hideout Break Room and use Break Room time, but they will not receive experience.

※ The Hideout Break Room is not available from Wednesday at 11:55 PM to Thursday at 12:05 AM. If you are inside the Hideout Break Room during this time, you will automatically be moved to the <Maple Hideout> map.

Hideout Break Room Enhancements

You can enhance the Hideout Break Room benefits by using Break Room Points. For every 2,500 monsters defeated by the Manager character, you will acquire 1 Break Room Point.

※ You can acquire up to 20 Break Room points per week.

[Party Event] Victoria Adventure

Hunt in nostalgic hunting grounds with your party members and acquire medals, gaming decorations, and experience!

Event Period:

You can select the ‘[Maple Hideout] Maple Hideout Open’ in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to start this event with the other Maple Hideout events. You can also select the ‘[Party Event] Victoria Adventure’ event in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to start.

After starting the event, you can talk to the Computer NPC in the <Maple Hideout> to enter the <Kerning City Game Roon Entrance>.

You can participate in <Victoria Adventure> through Quick Start or Party Play by talking to Billy.

※ The Kerning City Game Room is a cross world waiting room where you can form parties with other players regardless of your world.

※ You can proceed in Quick Start without being in a party, and you will be matched up with three other players who have applied for Quick Start.

※ You can proceed in Party Play in a party of 1~4 players.

Victoria Adventure

4 players matched cross-world will play the game with a 60 minute time limit.

Players participating in the game can choose their desired job between Warrior, Magician, Archer, or Thief through the Character Select UI in the <Kerning City Game Room Entrance>.

※ Party members can choose the same jobs.

※ You can change the keys by clicking the desired skill icon then pressing the desired key in the Character Select UI.

When you clear <Victoria Adventure>, the job you cleared on’s level will grow.

Each job has its own unique appearances and skills, and they grow in power as they level up.

※ When the game starts, Magicians will also be provided Magic Guard.

※ When a character reaches certain levels, their appearance will change.

[Boss Event] Hideout Guardians

Defeat powerful boss monsters and acquire Hideout Tokens!

Event Participation Requirements:

  • A level 101 or higher character (or a Zero character that has completed story quest Chapter 2) that has participated in the ‘[Attendance Check Event] Hideout Operation Journal’ event.

Event Period:

  • September 18, 2025 after the maintenance ~ November 19, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

You can select the ‘[Maple Hideout] Maple Hideout Open’ in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to start this event with the other Maple Hideout events. You can also select the ‘[Attendance Check Event] Hideout Operation Journal’ event in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to start.

Afterwards, you can check your progress by clicking the ‘[Boss Event] Hideout Guardians’ event in the Event List.

Acquiring Hideout Tokens

You can acquire HIdeout Tokens by soloing weekly bosses.

If you have already received Hideout Tokens for the week, and you defeat a boss that gives a higher number of Tokens than the previously defeated boss, you will only receive Tokens equal to the difference between them.

You can acquire up to 3,000 Basic Hideout Tokens, 2,000 Intermediate Hideout Tokens, and 100 Advanced Hideout Tokens per week per world. They can only be used in the world that you acquired them in.

You can click the ‘Acquisition Rate Per Boss’ in the Hideout Guardians UI to check how many Hideout Tokens you get per boss.

※ Daily and monthly bosses are not included.

※ The weekly boss defeat records are reset every Thursday at 12:00 AM.

Boss Defeat Criteria

Your boss defeat will only be recognized if you solo the boss. It will be recognized even if you succeed in Practice Mode.

The boss will be recognized as being cleared when the final phase’s boss monster is defeated. You can then acquire Hideout Tokens.

The amount of Hideout Tokens acquired from defeating boss monsters is as follows.

There is no limit on the number of Hangul Energy Vouchers you can buy, you can buy up to 99 at a time.

Text Reset

You can reset your medal text using the Hangul Energy you’ve acquired. The medal text is divided into 3 slots, and each slot can be locked or reset. The text for locked slots will be fixed and cannot be reset.

The amount of Hangul Energy consumed is based on the number of locked slots.

Challengers World 3rd Early Leap

Event Participation Requirements:

  • Level 130 or higher characters created in Challengers, Challengers 2, Challengers 3, or Challengers 4 worlds.

※ Zero characters that are level 130 or higher and have completed story quest Chapter 2 can Early Leap.

Event Period:

  • September 18, 2025 after the maintenance ~ October 22, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

During the event period, you can leap your characters to your desired world through the NPC Isaga in Henesys. You can select the ‘Challengers World Early Leap’ event in the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button to move to Henesys.

※ Worlds You can Leap To: All worlds.

※ You can move a total of 5 characters to other worlds through the Challengers World Early Leap and End Leap.

  • Basic Hideout Tokens, Intermediate Hideout Tokens, Advanced Hideout Tokens, Challengers Coins, and Advanced Challengers Coins acquired in Challengers World will not be moved with the World Leap.
  • Challengers World Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum rewards that can be acquired from Challengers World missions can only be claimed in Challengers World.
  • The Mystic Seal event’s equipped Seal Core stats will be removed.
  • Maple Hideout Special Menu’s skill levels will be applied based on the world you arrive in.
  • If a character designated as the Manager or Crew in Hideout Duo leaps to a world that wasn’t selected, the character designation information will be removed. In addition, Hideout Duo events cannot be progressed in that world.
  • However, you can continue the event by re-designating a character in the selected world or the world where the character was created.
  • Characters with active Meso Market transactions cannot proceed with World Leap.
  • When World Leaping from Challengers World, items in the cash storage, storage, and Maple Auction will not be moved.
  • Custom Backgrounds acquired using Voucher items will not be moved.

※ Custom Backgrounds acquired using Voucher items can be extracted into Vouchers through the NPC Isaga’s ‘Extract Custom Background’ option. The acquired Voucher can only be put into storage and is permanent.

  • The Tera Burning effect applied when a character is created in Challengers World will not be transferred through World Leap.

※ The Tera Burning effect will be removed when the character is transferred, and the ‘Tera Burning Gift Giveaway!’ quest will no longer be available.

  • The Strange Cube, Karma Meister Cube, Karma Strange Additional Cube, and Karma Star Force 17 Star Enhancement Scroll (Level 160) purchased from the Challengers Shop are Challengers World-only items and you cannot World Leap while holding them.
  • The Selective Challengers Level 4 Special Skill Ring Voucher and the Special Skill Ring acquired from using it are Challengers World-only items and you cannot World Leap while holding them.
  • If a character that has cleared an Epic Dungeon uses World Leap, you cannot claim the cleared Epic Dungeon’s bonus rewards.
  • If there are no empty character slots in the world you are moving to, slots will be added before the Leap.
  • However, if you already have 50 characters in the destination world, you cannot Leap to that world.

VIP Sauna

Spend time in the VIP Sauna to acquire a large amount of experience!

Event Participation Requirements:

  • A level 101 or higher character (or a Zero character that has completed story quest Chapter 2).

Event Period:

  • September 18, 2025 after the maintenance ~ December 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

In the Event List’s ‘Use the VIP Sauna’ event, you can use 3,000 Maple Points to charge your VIP Sauna usage time by 1 hour. You can charge it by up to 48 hours per week in this way.

If you use a VIP Sauna Ticket, your VIP Sauna usage time will be charged by 30 minutes.

※ The charged VIP Sauna usage time is shared between all characters within the Maple ID.

While you have remaining VIP Sauna usage time, you can select the ‘Use the VIP Sauna’ event from the Event List and click the ‘Participate’ button or talk to the Hotel Staff in <Sleepywood: Sleepywood Hotel Lobby> to enter <Sleepywood: VIP Sauna Room>.

While you are inside the <Sleepywood: VIP Sauna Room>, you will automatically acquire experience based on your level every 5 seconds.

※ Only characters below level 300 can acquire experience. Level 300 characters cannot use the VIP Sauna.

※ Characters over level 294 that enter the VIP Sauna Room will receive the same amount of experience as a level 294 character.

※ When the VIP Sauna usage time runs out, you will automatically return to your original location or <Sleepywood: Sleepywood Hotel Lobby>.

※ After the event period ends, you will not be able to acquire experience even if you had remaining VIP Sauna usage time.

※ On Red PC, the VIP Sauna experience acquisition will be decreased by 50%.

You can receive Maple Home furniture items based on your cumulative VIP Sauna charge time.

Feature Improvements

You can click the ‘[Experience Event] VIP Sauna’ button in the Event List or enter the VIP Sauna Room to access the special UI.

  • You can check the level you will reach if you use up all of your remaining charge time.
  • You can recharge your VIP Sauna time using Maple Points by clicking the ‘Recharge Time’ button.
  • You can receive cumulative charge time rewards by clicking the ‘Receive Rewards’ button.
  • An ‘automatic exit level’ setting feature has been added.
    • If you set an automatic exit level, if you reach the specified level in the VIP Sauna Room, you will automatically be moved to your previous location or to Sleepywood.

When you press the ‘Recharge Time’ button in the UI or use a VIP Sauna Entry Coupon, a UI will appear that lets you set the number of charges you want.

When you exit the VIP Sauna Room, a UI will appear that provides information about the usage time and experience acquired.

      hi max ty for the notes. With regards to the miraculous equipment enhancement scroll for hearts, would you happen to know the GMS equivalent name or at least what stats those scrolls gave?

        I don’t think other servers got them, they’re the special Equipment Enhancement Scrolls that gave stats equal to stars on Superior equipment to regular equipment. They show up as blue stars in tooltips.
