Inkwell’s Secret Diary – Light and Darkness! New Class?!
The great story’s ending will be revealed with the light.
This entry is titled In darkness, light is born. What can this mean?! The background… it looks the same as the one in the Demon Slayer’s tutorial… near the Black Magician! Combining this with the ominous picture that was released in a previous entry, I think that this ‘great story’ is that of the 5 heroes, and ‘with the light’ means with this new character and his ball of light… could this possibly be the final hero?!
It seems like he uses a double sided staff… a mage? But… this character… haven’t we seen him before?
Do you remember the MapleStory x Tower of God comic, and how I pointed out this mysterious character? Well… he has the same dual-coloured eyes as the character above, and he uses a double sided staff. In addition, he talks about ‘the darkness’, similar to how “In darkness, light is born.” I’m almost 100% sure these two people are one and the same!
By the way, Dragon Warrior was released to CMSt! Silver Bullet extracted its skills, and even through the Google translations, you can see that basically every single one of their skills was copied from the pirate class and their revamp.

a) 61XX is a warrior (1=warrior) and magnus looks like a warrior
b) it’s a new race (sais the 6) and magnus is a black wings member, so i think that nexon will release a black wings race
this class here is 27XX, becouse the 2 means hero and inkwell sais that this is the end of the story, so it must be the last hero. however, it’s not a pirate, it’s something new (the 7).
when the last hero is back, nexon can also release the black mage and when the black mage is back, i think they will release a new black wings race (magnus, etc), that’s my theory

I seriously doubt Magnus is a class. He’s a commander of the Black Magician, and they’ve already had one defect (Demon Slayer), they’re not gonna redo the same storyline.
I was wondering… Could this new character with his ball of light be Resistance? Yeah I agree!!!! When I saw this character, I immediatly thought of the New Resistance Stand on Shakar 96 :p ……The graphics/appearance of the new Resistance kind fits the character’s being…I was O_O when Lin’s bending away on tht episode 😦 ….

Hey wait, if this new class is going to be a mage, and if it is the last hero… doesnt that mean no Pirate hero? That would explain why they completely revamped the pirate classes then; they didnt plan on making a pirate hero so they just revamped them. Or has the pirate hero been announced? I’ve been out of the loop for a while so sorry if all this was pointless.
Actually… If you think of it that wouldn’t be too strange considering the pirate class was only recently formed.

If sources are correct about the new class IDs 61XX and 27XX, then it could very well be a whole new/different kind of class/species, and again who knows? lol
The weapon and clothes on this mysterious character looks more mage-like. Whats weird is the weapon, having a dual side staff head, wtf?! lol
and like Nexon Spy’s ideas says, with a name like, Light, and the Light vs Darkness theme, for this being a Final Hero, it would make sense, and would fit the 5 heros’ names’ spelling out MAPLE. Lastly he was featured in the Maplestory vs Tower of God, video, but so was Demon Slayer?

I’m guessing one side of the staff would be light and the other would be darkness…and the spirit summoning also differs with the element and has different abilities.

By the way, I read something interesting about how Amon takes bending away…
Remember about the chakras that Guru Pathik helped Aang to open? The light chakra is located in the middle of the forehead. It deals with insight and is blocked by illusion. When Amon takes bending away, he puts his finger on the person’s forehead. Is Amon taking bending away simply all an illusion?
Also, the hero’s name is Light. No doubt. :3

Max, here is my story of what I think is up with all these new classes.
Every version of Maplestory gets to design their own job. Then in time, all the version will release their “exclusive” job to their own server, i,e Jett GMS, Dragon Warrior CMS/TMS and this guy for KMS. THen after a couple months, all the other version get to pick one other job from another version and bring it over to their version, till all the servers have all the “VERSION” jobs. Version as in a new race. Remember that some job ID’s were leaked from a new race? I think it’s the Version Race. Think about it. Dragon Warrior is a Adventurer… maybe a new breed of adventurer, not the same as DB and Canoneer, but also different from the original ones. Jett has to be something other than Resistance and Hero, because else it would ruin the storyline for all the version that don’t have the job. So Jett is a Adventurer just like DrW. This job kind of confuses me, but let’s say that he is a special version adventurer too. Then this new “version” race exists of spin off adventurers.
TWMS decided to make their version job have the pirate revamp skills, so players get to decided what they want to play, play pirates the old way, or play pirates the way after the revamp with drastic changes to the gameplay. However, I think that when this job comes to other version, it will have other skills than the revamped pirate skills. I predict that it will have normal new skills that we haven’t seen before when DrW comes to other versions of Maplestory.

My smartest guess is that he is part of the branch of demon slayer. Like he is the mage in that branch. Think about it right? If the hero’s, they were release as warrior – mage – bowman – thief – pirate, then probably the branch of demon slayer is undergoing the mage part right? 🙂
and probably, the reason why they are not releasing the pirate hero is that they can’t think of a unique weapon or something for him so yeah this is the smartest guess i can well think of
yea i agree about the Pirate hero. Maybe nexon is struggling on how to make the “hero pirate” beat/top/better the epic awesomeness of Phantom, Mercedes, and Demon Slayer (although DS is not a hero but you know what I mean by “epic overpowered~ness”)
Nexon could make a pirate hero go SUPER SAIYAN 4 or some crazy DBZ reference crap like that, and that it can fly almost anywhere, up or down, and do SUPER KAMEHAME or Spirit Bomb skills.
Or the pirate hero can be a dual gun weilder like Tomb Raider, Bloodrayne, Underworld, Resident Evil, with super human abilities or being being a half-bred Vampire, with bloodsucking HP skills, and her name can be “Lady Morgana”
I’m sure pirate hero will happen, its just a matter of time. It would be just stupid if Nexon doesnt make one.
Or maybe there isn’t a Pirate Hero because the pirates were just formed.

Well this is just my two cents. I think that maybe, the pirate hero was one of the Black Mage’s generals much like Demonslayer was. He realizes that the side he was fighting for was actually wrong and decides to right his wrongs by joining the fight against his former master.
As with Mercedes and Phantom, he uses a new class of weapon. Hey, if a thief like Phantom can have a cane and cards for weapons (which are by far distantly associated with thieves), why not have the pirate hero use weapons that are not traditionally associated with pirates.
A double ended staff/cane could be his main weapon and much like the current trends of having secondary weapons, his secondary weapon could be those chain-like structures (which maybe a throwback to the fact that chains are actually associated with pirates).
In the end, this are just my speculations.
Maybe I overlooked it, but has anyone speculated that the weapon may not be a magical staff? It could very well be some kind of melee taekwondo-ish staff, right? I agree it looks magical, but that could just be a decorational effect for higher lvl staves. If I’m right, this class could still be either the pirate hero and the thief resistance, since I could see either of them use a weapon like that. I’ve never heard about that chain weapon, but maybe that’ll be the weapon for another class.

It would be something if it was a “fighting staff” “melee staff”, or by official name its a “Bo staff”

well Phantom is very much reminds us of Gambit. (cane and cards, debonair rogue like personalty)
When you mentioned chains, I was suddenly struck by the idea of Kratos o-o. But I think Demon Slayer is closer to Kratos considering that both collect a form of energy to keep fighting or get stronger ( Oh, and the way they use their weapons are very similar: swing foward 2x, swing back 2x, swing forward weapon for final massive damage).
Anyways, back on-topic. The thing about the double-headed sceptor struck me as a kind of Seperatist (or that red enemy in Star Wars with the double-headed spear thing). The thing about being the Thief resistance could be plausible. I mean, look at Demon Slayer; he sought revenge against the Black Mage and as a result, joined the Resistance hundreds o fyears later. The same story could be applied here to this guy.
When I saw the spoilers I was shocked. I waited for this series a long time but I didn’t know it already aired. Today I watched the 10 episodes and I have just one thing to say: Why Lin??? Why??? (by the way, thanks for letting me know about it!)

To anyone thinking about a Pirate Hero, think about the original maple. No pirates. Pirates where introduced later. So it only seems fair that the hero was not a pirate, but Kyrin’s dad may have been apart of a group that fought along side with the Heroes.

I find it interesting that the left eye is often the eye used when generating a certain aura of magic. What could the left eye have in significance, anyway? I can name a few anime or characters that have that in common: Black Star Shooter (Think that’s the name), Calcium Miku, Dartz from Yugioh, Pegasus from Yugioh, etc. Just an off topic opinion, but it struck me fancy in a way.

What if it were M.A.P.L.E.’s story and not MapleStory? All the heroes have been released and this is their story. Now it’s time for the dark side to tell their story. I mean maple has nothing to do with the leaf therefore it could just be the heroes names hence their story. Basically, an alliance versus horde kind of deal.
