kMSt ver. 1.2.436 – Luminous Skill Changes & Tempest Advisory! JMS Exclusive Classes!
This patch was only a couple of skill changes for Luminous (and skill level changes for Dual Blade), and some minor things. However, it does confirm the summer update will be called Tempest! Also, a new mob for Guwaru has been added… does that mean he will finally make his appearance? A new Inkwell’s Secret Diary has been released, this time talking about the Tempest update and when it is coming!
Edit: New information has been released about JMS, confirming their exclusive classes~! Check the end of my post!
- Equilibrium (Beginner): Equilibrium state duration has been increased from 7 seconds to 10 seconds
- Power of Light (Beginner): A passive buff that provides additional MP upon leveling up has been added
- Ordinary Magic Guard (1st): A passive buff that increases defense and magic defense by 150 has been added
- Extend Mana (1st): MP boost has been increased from 25% to 30%
- Void Pressure (2nd): Range has been increased.
- Spectral Light (3rd): Angles at which you can attack have been adjusted.
- Shine Redemption (3rd): Healing effect has been increased from 500% to 800%.
- Life Tidal (3rd): Critical hit rate increase has been decreased from 40% to 30%.
- Light Reflection (4th): Damage has been decreased from 375% to 300%, when the beam splits its damage will be decreased.
- Apocalypse (4th): Damage has been decreased from 390% to 350% and number of hits has been increased from 6 to 7.
- Absolute Kill (4th): Attack speed has been increased.
- Darkness Sorcery (4th): Critical chance boost has been removed, now ignores 100% of an enemy’s elemental resistance (?), amount of monster’s defense ignored has been increased from 30% to 40%.
- Dark Light Mastery (4th): Equilibrium duration boost has been increased 5 seconds to 10 seconds.
And then Dual Blade’s skill levels were changed a bit.
- Venom: max level has been increased from 10 to 20
- Upper Stab: max level has been decreased from 20 to 10
- Shadow Evasion: max level has been increased from 10 to 20
- Advanced Dark Sight: max level has been decreased from 10 to 5
- Vital Steal: max level has been decreased from 10 to 5
Oh yeah, Dragon Warrior was released! Thanks to yangliweng for recording the tutorial. Well, at least it has a cool storyline to go with its copied skills! Hopefully Jett has one too!
In one week, the hot weather of summer will begin.
However, in July, a terrible tempest is expected to arrive!
After the Tempest on July 5, Maple World’s 2012 summer’s bright light will continue to shine with the evil darkness defeated once again.For now, Maple weather center.
Does this mean that this summer… the Black Mage will be defeated? Who else could the evil darkness be? I guess we’ll find out on July 5… or even sooner if they release it in Tespia first! This is really short notice though.
JMS will be receiving not one but two new classes, as well as a new area! Obviously, I don’t know Japanese, so I won’t really be able to cover these classes… but I know someone who does! If you guys are interested (as I am), you should follow ShiKage’s blog, which outlines everything that comes out in JMS!

Jett sucks as expected from gMS Nexon America copy and pasting skills from other classes..
At least it gives us in GMS a chance to try out the pirate revamp when it was suppose to come out.
Event though it is coming later this year.

Most of those have orignal skils bro. Especially BaM’s DS DB Aran Phantom(outside of the hax copy ability) and Luminous, as far as i can tell.

dragon warrior and Jett are kinda close: the skill look same and both are pirates that exclusive job and not for and the maples,but, i wanna dragon warrior on global too!

Guwaru is one of the Black Magician’s commanders. He’s hinted towards in the Alliance quests for adventurers, where you take a piece of bark (or something) to Athena to investigate. Then it turns into an evil tree stump thing xd

Even if Dragon Warrior is not a good job at all, at least the intro is very cool! I mean there’s animated things like npc moving (yeah I saw that before) but there’s npc using skills and such! that’s amazing in my opinion 😉 Even if the only bad thing is still the way the npcs appears (like when they go on the boat and suddently poof all those “mobs” appears)
Max, the angle changes for Spectral Light, at what angles can you attack at now? Is it still almost 360 like before or is it limited like the maximum angle up is 45 degrees or something?
I actually played KMST and I must say that honestly I didn’t notice any big change.. I can’t even say if it increased or decreased lol. That’s all I can say to help you 🙂

Watch the black mage be really weak and his only attack is to sheild himself and summon a massive amount of empress cygnus, czak, cht, cpb, etc. and you have 2 hours to kill the black mage.
i still think that main screen theme is better than the original, sadly they changed it back to the original in gms =(

Lol. The new theme was good. But the original is always better. I guess Gms changed back because people request it. It would be nice if they use another one once in a while but that they change it back to the original. Wow tempest – I hope this means the 5th job. Poor Gms will get it probably next year ah.

Come to think of it…. Copy-and-Paste skills for “exclusive” class kind of make sense…..They are the Pirates Class (Pirated Skills) after all….

About the two Class for JMS…. I think that they will be a little more unique than Jett or Dragon Warrior (something). In fact, I suspect that there are actually better programmer/more creative people inside Nexon Japan…… Remember the Monster Book and Flight ability?

The “exclusive” classes are all copy + paste characters. They basically had a character and were like “how about each Maple region make their own animations for the skills?” JMS and GMS jumped on it and said “HECK YEA!”
jMS? As far as I know, jMS is very Unique. It has stuff that kMS or gMS or any other type of Maple doesn’t have. I think you meant cMS and gMS jumped on the same trail and changed the skills and storyline and make it look “Original” for their “Exclusive” Classes.
JMS are best at making exclusive contents. I really like Neo Tokyo maps

Female = Fan Wielding Maiden ( Thief? )
The Fan Wielding Maiden looks like a Shrine Maiden, so IMO it would be more of a mage then a thief. Would also make sense as it would be a support type to the Samurai.
So we need 4 more cygnus teacher jobs and 1 more resistance job and hurray
Nexon may or may not finish the Resistance and Cygnus captains (lol at teachers). I guess the captains would be off balance, but I don’t think we’ll get another theif class.

CMS with Dragon Warrior, which is tied deeply within Chinese heritage and mythology, Jett being reminiscent of the Cowboy and Outlaw era of the “wild west” in the 1800’s, and now JMS with their classes based on the Samurai’s Waring States era and Japanese pseudo-mythology. It all ties in pretty well n_n
