kMSt ver. 1.2.495 – The Seed and Skill Changes!
With less than a week to go for this to come to the real server, Tespia has finally updated with The Seed content as well as many skill changes for the Hero, Resistance, Cygnus, and Nova classes! Read on for more information~
As you can see, The Seed is based on the Wizard of Oz, the girl in the middle is even called Dorothy, joined by the tin man, scarecrow, lion, and I guess… Toto?
800 years ago, when Maple World was on the verge of being destroyed by the Black Mage, the Transcendent of Life, Alicia created a tower under the sea in order to save as many lives as she could.
However, the guardian of the tower cannot control it anymore.
The guardian of the tower installed many types of devices across the many floors of The Seed in order to keep out intruders. Maple Warriors with both wisdom and strong equipment, help Alicia regain control of the tower!
The Seed is available for any Maplers level 100 or over and can be accessed through the Dimensional Mirror.
For every floor you clear, you’ll receive Seed Points. The deeper you go, the more bonus points you’ll get. In addition, every 10 floors will host a strong boss who defend against intruders.
Of course they’re based off the Wizard of Oz characters! I think Dorothy is the final boss, I heard she’s level 210. I’m not actually too sure what a fruity spider has to do with the Wizard of Oz though…
A special enchantment has been cast inside The Seed, preventing intruders and returning them to the lobby. You must use special Hazy Stones in order to protect yourself. You can get them by buying from Glinda for Seed Points or from other Maplers.
For those of you who don’t know, Glinda is the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz, haha. Anyways, from her shop you can buy:
- Alicia’s Damage Skin (300,000 points) [Floor 30 or more]
- Dorothy’s Damage Skin (300,000 points) [Floor 30 or more]
- Base Damage Skin (50,000 points) [Foor 5 or more]
- Snowy Action Book (210,000 points) [Floor 25 or more]
- High Five! Manhwa Chair (150,000 points) [Floor 20 or more]
- Stamped Premium Hazy Stone (30 points)
- Stamped Basic Hazy Stone (90 points)
- Stamped Intermediate Hazy Stone (150 points)
- Stamped Advanced Hazy Stone (300 points)
I’m definitely loving all these new Manhwa chairs haha.
Oh yeah, along with a whole bunch of new Rings (which give special effects in The Seed) and some medals for various accomplishments in the tower, new level 150 equipment was added. I’m not sure how to get them though…
- Aquarius Crown: 1 all stats and 1 attack and magic attack, 22 slots. Tradeable until equipped, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors.
- Ocean Glow Earrings: 7 all stats, 5 attack and magic attack, 750 HP and MP, 7 slots. Tradeable until equipped, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors.
- Lud’s Sword (2h sword): 165 attack, 45 STR, 35 DEX, 6 slots. Tradeable until equipped, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors.
- Light Seeker (bow): 210 attack, 50 DEX, 20 STR, 1 slot. Tradeable until equipped, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors.
- Corrupted Alicia’s Staff (staff): 300 magic attack, 50 INT, 50 LUK, 0 slots. Tradeable until equipped, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors.
- Alicia’s Brilliance (untradeable): 500 magic attack, 200 all stats, 1 slot. Untradeable.
Zero character creation has returned! Summer 2013 only Nexon? Sure. However, you now need a level 100 or more character on your account before you can create one.
In addition, you can now receive experience, mesos, items, quests and other things from Maple World as soon as you finish Zero’s Prologue and the quest [Maple World and the Mirror World].
Gold Beach finally has a world map haha.

Reinforce Cannon: attack boost has been increased from 30 to 40
Monkey Furious: damage boost on monsters afflicted with the debuff has been increased from 20% to 25%
Dual Blade
Dummy Effect: Shadow Evasion will now activate whenever the Dummy is attacked instead of only when it is destroyed
Aran
Combat Step: can now be used while in the air, can now be activated with the Jump key
Combo Ability: attack booster per 10 Combo Count has been increased from 3 to 5
Cleaving Attack: damage boost on boss monsters has been increased from 20% to 30%
Might: attack boost has been increased from 25 to 50
Final Blow: damage has been increased from 355% to 450%
Beyonder: damage has been increased from 420% to 640%, number of hits for the first attack has been increased from 2 to 3, defense ignored has been increased from 20% to 30%
Combo Tempest: after using this skill, you will receive a debuff for 20 seconds that doubles the Combo Count required to use this skill (stacking up to 9 times)

Ghost Lettering: debuff duration has been increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds
Illusion: damage has been increased from 450% to 550%, in addition to existing effects Illusion now deals 35% extra damage to bosses
Mercedes
Unicorn Spike: damage boost on debuffed monsters has been increased from 15% to 30%
Rolling Moonsault: damage has been increased from 180% to 300%
Ishtar’s Ring: damage has been increased from 155% to 230%
Legendary Spear: defense reduction debuff has been increased from 20% to 30%
Lightning Edge: debuff duration has been increased from 10 seconds to 15 seconds
Phantom
Moonlight: attack boost has been increased from 30 to 40
Noire Carte: damage has been increased from 220% to 320%
Cane Expert: attack boost has been increased from 30 to 40
Twilight: in addition to existing effects, Twilight now inflicts a debuff on monsters that decreases their defenses by 20% for 15 seconds

- The amount that each skill affects the Light/Dark balance has been increased

Trifling Whim III: damage has been increased from 255% to 380%, damage of enhanced arrow has been increased from 330% to 500%
Song of Heaven: damage has been increased from 260% to 370%
Striker
Ascend: damage has been increased from 175% to 225%
Thunder: damage has been increased 150% to 170%
Tornado: damage boost per Lightning buff has been increased from 3% to 4%
Annihilate: damage has been increased from 250% to 350%

Master of the Sword: damage reduction when using Falling Moon has been decreased from 40% to 20% (i.e. you will be doing 80% damage instead of 60% damage)

wild hunters and Battle mages were left out so sad my battle mage hates this -_-. for them to buff mercs and phantoms again and leave out WHs and BaMs

Battle Mages don’t even need a buff, it’s probably one of the most balanced classes, not too op but not weak either.

Well, combine with the 300 matt 50 all “corrupted” version, i’d say it is a Kaiserium-class weapon. Mages rejoice! I wonder if there is going to be another class for the Transcendence of Life to wield this “Alicia’s Brilliance” the way “Liberated Kaiserium” was made to commemorate the legendary Protector of Dragons, Kaiser.

This is the kind of patches that I hate the most .. Patch that make no sense at all and instead of balance the game the make the balance worse ..
I don’t get the point of buffing op classes when there are classes who can’t even do half of what those can .
Like as of xenon need a buff he’s op enough and so us Kaizer !
Why not buff pirates like bucc and cosair instead or maybe night lord ..

2. you have sweeping staff
3. you also got auras
1. Giant range on most mobbing skills from level 100.
2. Illusion still deals an absurd amount of damage and attacks at a ridiculously fast pace.
3. You guys get a bunch of free stats from passives, much more than our auras.

People complaining about Evans like if they were OP haha mostly they are complaining about Illusion like if it was a skill that hits 8 character 8 times or something like that……. Illusion is just 4hits and only to 1 mob…… and the guy that replied to you saying Evans gets lots of passives, yes we get lots of passives but only like 3 gives us damage and we only have Maple Warrior and Booster and the Onyx one that gives us a boost to our damage (booster let us attack faster), every other passive and buff is avoidability, weapon def and magic def, revive our party, etc also like half of them help our party, the worst thing about evans is the 2nd hyper…. yeah that dragon does a lot of damage but only like once per 2 seconds and only to mobs in front of him.. everyone else’s hyper is OP compared to that….. like DB or Lumis or Xenons, etc
lets not forget wild hunter have shitty lvl 170 hyper as well
Hey, Evan was starting to fall behind! Just because a class isn’t dead last doesn’t mean it couldn’t use a little buff! It doesn’t make sense for only 2/5 heroes to be in the top ten (and barely so at that) for dps. They’re legends, they need to be top of the pack! (yet the other 3 are BOTTOM of the pack.) I won’t be satisfied until all 6 heroes are above the number 1 adventurer, number 1 Cygnus, AND battle mages, mechanics, and wild hunters. (there’s no reason that standard creation characters should EVER be better than premium creation ones) Sure, they shouldn’t all be like more than 50% better than them, in fact, nothing should be more than 50% better than ANYTHING ELSE, but at least 10%, at most 30% higher than the weakest dps classes.
On top of that, his mobbing with “insane range” isn’t until level 120, not level 100, and he needs 10 levels worth of sp to max it, so more like 130 at the earliest. And it’s still nowhere NEAR as “insane” OR versatile as Demon Slayer’s Demon Cry or Luminous’s Reflection. Additionally, lategame Evan is subpar because of his weaksauce “hyper” skills, and subpar attacking speed.
His mobility also leaves something to be desired, particularly in vertical locomotion.
TLDR: if you think evan is OP’d, your insane. He’s not even top 10 in DPS. In a game like maplestory where there’s some classes with 40k% dps, and others with less than 10k%, you can’t say a class is OP’d by comparing a bottom tier class with a middle class. First, you compare it to crud-tier things like bam, AND you do it factoring in things like sweeping staff that make them a pretty even match, AND not ACTUALLY crud tier, and THEN you compare it to even STRONGER classes.
Evan may hit 440% x 4, but battle mages 6 x 240% is MUCH more rapid, and is augmented by teleport mastery and Sweeping Staff.
Mercedes is in DIRE need of buffs, what are you talking about? Xenon also got ridiculously nerfed in the last few patches.
buff op classes? You do realize the increased monsters health by a tenfold right? do you realize how hard it is to kill anything now in order to lv up?

Amazing, Mercedes might actually *gasp* do some damage! Finally an Ishtar that can do something other then poke the enemy to death.
Those weapons are ridiculous. 500 MAGIC ATTACK STAFF?! 22 SLOT HAT?! I can only imagine the pain you have to go through to get them.

Resembles endless tower from Ragnarok Online(The game that first made the slime monsters that are now virtually found in every game out of Korea). I swear these Korean games copy each other to no end.
Content wise this patch feels lame. It is just like one of those umpteen mini dungeon patches who no one wants to play like Kerning square, Mushroom castle, Orbis giant land and Ellenia academy.

Cosair class has basically no pros
100% cons low hp, low defense, low damage and what more they depends too much on luck aka dice and summons .. So yeah I see no reason to buff Kaizer and and xenon need to be buffed ..
One big pro is having the longest range in the game at the moment (pretty sure battleship bomber outreaches even soul seeker)
Blast range for battleship bomber is horrible. Anything 2 pixels away from the closest mob wont get hit
Battle ship bomber is gay skill, the only skill that is good for cosairs is the headshot like skill,

Aran revamped, but the damage out put is really only slightly better, I like the 50 att on might but the buff to Combo ability is useless, as advance combo ability already makes it 5. Also note that BB 1 does 3 hits now, not 2, so that’s better.
About combat step though…. just no I don’t want this messed up logic of a mobility skill and its fine the way it is atm.
About the Aran revamp. It’s nice to see them making it so that FBBB is actually useful again but they still need a buff to damage output, a good idea would be for each attack linked a % damage boost is given it wouldn’t give a ton of damage and still encourage the use of comboing skills. The 50 att Might and it stacking is nice, the stacking is long over due, but the buff to combo ability isn’t even notable, as Advance combo ability already has 5 att.
About combat step, it has become a monster and I’d rather have it stay the same we don’t all need the same mobility skill plus its way to much. Granted it would be fun to jump over leafry with it but still no…
Also BB 1 now hits 3 times instead of 2 times.

Well, I donno about most people here but I think the buffs are all quite nice! Especially Mechanic and Aran, though I agree that the double jump/ dash is unneeded :/.
The Aran buff is getting a bit stupid now.
How much % do you have to give the add before you realize, it needs more lines of dmg?
Sure give it all the dmg you want but itl only hit good dmg like 2-3 times per skill.

I think they don’t want to give it more lines since it would be easier to build up combos, which doesn’t make sense as combos are useless past 100 unless you need to rebuff. If every attack that Arans did, however, was given 1 extra line I think the damage would be just fine, at lest until we start to fall behind again.
I agree. What Arans really need, is 1 more line of damage for every attack. All the newer jobs hit an a lot of lines per attack and would really even out Aran. To balance the combo issue, all they would need to do is raise the amount of combo needed for skills. Past 180, you will rarely ever see/use combo smash/fenrir making them useless because you will likely never have that small of a combo, even though they don’t do a whole lot of damage compared to other combo skills. Anyway, what Arans need is 1 more line of damage per attack, and raising the combo cost for some skills a bit.
So my main hayato is screwed? AND WHAT ABOUT DrK?!?!? kms is killing me now……..
Dark Knights are reduculously OP right now though, but Hayatos are pretty much left in a ditch like Mercedes was for over a year.

I think there’s something wrong with final blow for aran. I play in GMS and I’ve went on today to check the % damage on final blow and realized it’s 460% DMG. The notes say 355%-450%, I’m quite confused whether they’re going to get nerfed or buffed..

More could have been done to Demon slayer and Demon Avenger to be honest. Talk about neglected
Demon Slayers and Demon Avengers are decent. There are other classes that need to focus and attention more. Sure, they are not the strongest, but they are still damn strong considering they have almost 100% resistance and a good bind for bossing.
DA’s have 60% status resist. also DA bind is 20 secs long and 180 sec cool down, which is not a very good bind if you ask me. kanna’s have 2 bind skills

No if you use 30 combos the damage on FB is 460% if you use it without combos its 355% atm.

Over all all this update did was make FBBB slightly better than OS and nerfed Tempest and gave Aran some messed up FJ, I’d rather just have it be ground based too many FJ skills. Might was a nice add on though.
since most characters are getting revamped, does that mean these new bosses are going to be really strong?
If you look at the direction the game is headed, with empress, CRA and Hard Magnus, I wouldnt be surprised if these bosses have hard modes with good drops aswell!

no estoy de acuerdo con este parche estoy arto de q siempre en todos los parchs le suben damage al aran evan demon slayer luminus dual blade esos son jobs q nisiqueira nesecitan revan en mi guild el uniko battlemage soy yo y esoty apunto de dejarlo porque 240% de damage ahora mismo el mercedes me alkansa en damage y es mucho mas rapido q yo no entiendo si no actualisan el bam pronto nadie usara battlamge en maple
