kMSt ver. 1.2.499 – Mystic Gates’ Return
A new Tespia patch has been released, with the return of the Mystic Gates and some other small changes. For example, new boss souls have been added for each of the five Elite Bosses.
There’s also a new event in the real server, and some MapleStory 2 images I’m gonna talk about.
Mystic Gates have returned! They are once again available in Henesys, Pantheon, and Leafre. Professor Moon is collecting data on them, and they will be active on weekends only. A message will be displayed 10 minutes and 5 minutes before a boss is summoned. You can move to a town with a Mystic Gate once every 20 minutes using the icon on the side of your screen.
You can complete 1 quest for each boss per day. The person who last hits the boss will receive Mystic Energy Remnants. In addition, some other lucky users will be chosen to receive it as well. These Mystic Energy Remnants can be used to get prizes.
Your progress from last time for the Mystic Gate Researcher medal will be carried over, and you can now get the new Mystic Gate Master medal (10 all stats, 4 attack and magic attack) too.
In addition, there are two new items available, Mystic Zakum’s Helmet (18 all stats, 5% HP and MP, lvl. 75, 10 slots) and Mystic Horntail Pendant (8 all stats, 5% HP and MP, lvl. 120, 3 slots). They are tradeable until equipped, and can be traded with the Silver Karma Scissors after that.
The Chaos Zakum Helmet‘s appearance and effect have been updated. The Chaos Horntail Pendant has been updated as well.
Some of The Seed‘s floors have been changed to be easier. Glinda now sells Practice Room Tickets that allow you to enter a practice version of different floors. You will not receive any rewards from this.
The Seed’s rewards have been enhanced! The active duration of the rings has been increased and their cooldowns have been decreased. The chance to receive special items from the boxes has been increased significantly.
Auction House is now available through the Quick Move UI. If you are not on the correct channel, you will automatically be moved.
Fantastic Theme Park has been added to the Ludus Lake world map and given its own map as well!
Oh yeah, they also updated the world and channel selection screen!
The event I was talking about is the Easy Fast Happy Attendance Check! It runs from February 20 to March 1.
Just kill 150 monster per day to be checked off. The prizes are pretty good too!

In the case of various in-game convenience features which can be obtained through hard efforts, we are trying to prevent paid items from making the game too easy.

This time, I’ll be talking about MapleStory 2’s historical background. Thanks to the users ‘아리아’, ‘Maruru’, ‘모모달이’, and ‘동변동’ for their comments.
It is already known that MapleStory 2 takes place in the distant past of our previous project. It is the story of an age unknown to current Maple World residents.
The people from the past called the world they lived in, Maple World. They also lived in places all around called ‘Henesys’, ‘Ellinia’, ‘Perion’, and ‘Kerning City’.
Although this past has been completely forgotten, the town names are still used today. It seems that Maple World’s history is connected to it after all. What is happening in MapleStory 2’s world? And are we waiting for a certain event?

MS2 takes place in the same location as MS1 but in an immensely different dimension.
Get it? Because one has two dimensions (2D) and the other has three (3D). x3
Could someone explain me why is Korean Folk Town and Omega Sector with the Black Magician’s Chains? Did I miss something?
Currently a lot of areas are closed off, those chains are how they’re showing it on the world map.

So basically, it’s preventing it from being TOO easy, with ‘too’ being the totally subjective term. In other words, to me at least, still a P2W environment. Nexon’s ‘too’ is pretty irrelevant when information releases like these are just to satiate a largely naive and optimistic customer base. No offense. I was naive and optimistic once…then I played Maplestory.
well, Nexon has to make revenue somehow. If the items can be obtained in game (of course with effort) then its fine
Considering the ways in which obtaining such items in game (from the nexon status quo) are severely contrived and limited in range, I wouldn’t put it past them just be saying this as a vague way of justifying P2W.

Probably. I don’t think this person wants to get our money. She continually talks about old maplestory and how they want to replicate it. Eventhough I stopped playing Maple Europe, because of repetitiveness and bugs I still love the game way too much and have good memories from exactly after Big Bang, where it still didn’t get to the power point it has now.

The effect I showed above is for the Chaos helmet, I assume there’s like a purple-y one for the Mystic helmet?

I remember when Maplestory first opened and the NA one as well they said the same thing about paid items but, look where they went.

So still called Maple World with the same town names? But in Mercedes story line Ellinia didn’t even exist yet. It was still a forest.
