New Domain!
Hey guys! Some of you might not have noticed but I finally bought a domain for the site, so now you can just link orangemushroom.net (instead of orangemushroom.wordpress.com) when you want to show something to your friends!
In addition to the new domain, you might start seeing ads on the site (although I think they were there before too). It’s because I joined the WordAds program of WordPress. I looked around for a bit and it doesn’t seem they’re too obtrusive, it should be okay for now.
I was doing some maintenance for the blog and realized I”m nearing my limit for media uploads, and it actually costs money to expand it. Hopefully, the ad revenue will be enough to cover the cost of that, and maybe I can use it for other things such as a nifty new theme or even prizes for some fun events?
I would definitely appreciate if those of you who used adBlock would disable it on the site, but it’s completely fine if you don’t! Anyways, have a great day and hopefully we’ll get some juicy information about the summer update on the 19th.

Cool. I think you should have done this before. You don’t know how awesome it is(at least for me) for you to translate and explain all of the news and just because you wanted to, wasting your time in the process. Plus there has been ads and they only appear at the bottom so it shouldn’t bother anyone. Hopefully it is enough and that you can some out of it :D.
That’s cool. I think you should have done this early to get something out of it. It’s so awesome that you do this for us(at least I think) just because you want to, thus wasting your time. I hate ads but I don’t mind donating to a great cause. I believe you can get way more donations than the ads will pay you.

I think you might need to update those links at the right side of your site, they’re not giving me an error about your site not being encrypted or something like that. It might be because of the switch in your domain.
Yeah I got some of those before… I’ll try and see how I can fix it 😡
Edit: I think I found out the reason why, was it the ORIGIN link that was messing it up? It should be fixed now.

Adblock exists for a reason. Random advertising is the bane of a clean and pure interwebs. If you want people to view ads, show us some that are actually useful or relevant to our interests. Oh wait, you can’t, because we’re all individuals with different hobbies, needs and life circumstances. There’s never going to be a way to appeal to everyone at once without surveys tied to IP based ads. Such is the fallacy of non-targeted one-size-fits-all advertising. Until the business model for online advertising starts taking into consideration individual desires, including the desire to not view any ads at all, Adblock will continue to be the spear of intelligence that pierces through corporate stupidity.
