MapleStory: Project MNP Announced!
In addition to MapleStory M which had its first closed beta test last week, another new MapleStory mobile game has been announced: Project MNP! Not sure what it stands for but it’s probably just a work-in-progress title.
This 2016! Maple’s new beginning!
MapleStory’s protagonists face a new challenge in a world with a new genre!
In this dimension, enjoy real-time strategy battle!
Project MNP!
This game will be a real-time strategy game where it looks like you have to send MapleStory characters and monsters down lanes to destroy your enemy’s base. They take the form of cards, so I guess collecting them and making your own deck will be a part of it too.
I think the gameplay will be pretty similar to Clash of Clans’ spin-off game Clash Royale actually.
I really like the art style! I’m looking forward to seeing all the different cards and environments~

What is it with all these “Mini-games” all of a sudden?
The market for them are huge. It’s ridiculous that games like flappy bird, bejeweled, and candy crush can run the market when full 3D RPG games like this can also run on your phone.

Max hasn’t given info because there’s nothing about it. I’m 100% certain he’ll mention it the day anything happens.
As it stands right now all focus is on making the Chinese localization go well. The Korean version is sort of in a slog right now with not much content coming out, and not many players either (less than maple 1 according to naver charts, though they’re likely not 100% accurate) so China is a foothold for maple 2. It does well there, we see a move to either japan or the north american/”global” market (my bet is global since japan branch is overwhelmingly mobile profiting.)nexon na is very busy with all their mediocre flops like first assault and that overwatch clone so I’d imagine nexon kr is nervous about localizing ANOTHER title just for it to be empty and non-profiting
It’s spin off of gamevil ‘ series cartoon wars main entries.
A lot of gamevil kr employees recently moved over to nexon mobile because gamevil shifted focus centrally to a us based office. Not surprising they picked a really popular series to adapt.this, unlike a lot of maple mobile games, I am very interested in.
