MapleStory Hi-Five!
Today’s the day!! In just a few hours, the MapleStory private showcase: Hi-Five will begin! It will take place from 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM KST. We will almost certainly get a good look at this year’s summer update, and probably a preview of 5th job.
I will be updating this post as news is released, so keep checking back~ All of my information/pictures will be from users posting on Insoya so a big thanks to them for sharing!

I feel like the big part of it is going to be in the ‘Maple Voice Show’?
They’re finally letting everyone in! A little more than half an hour left until it starts.
They’re giving out little goodie bags including a fill in the blank 4-panel manhwa, a clapper, a pen, and some cute MapleStory candies.
Pink Bean will be patiently watching as well haha.
They started off with the quiz show, with a few larger questions followed by 8 quicker questions like: “How many fingers does Zakum have in total?” haha.
Now the Maple Voice Show is going to begin. From left to right, you can see the host of the event and then the voices of Phantom, Cygnus, and Luminous respectively.
They’re live voicing the ‘Phantom’s Past’ video! They even did a take where the VA of Luminous spoke instead of Phantom haha.
And now they’re reading out some of the manhwas that people have filled out.
They did the launchpad performance where a DJ remixed some MapleStory music.

5th Job
The 5th job advancement will take place at level 200.
- New Hero skill: Sword of Burning Soul
- A burning soul sword that changes depending on the situation.
- New Paladin skill: Holy Unity

- Annihilate the enemy with a spear containing the power of darkness.

- An ancient glacier that turns the battlefield into ice.
- New Bishop skill: Pray
- Through earnest prayer, bless your allies.

- Sharp arrows rain down from the sky.
- New Marksman skill: True Sniping
- Aim at an enemy and never miss.
- New Night Lord skill: Spread Throw
- Scatter enhanced stars all across the battlefield.
- New Shadower skill: Shadow Assault
- Instantly attack distracted enemies around you.
- New Dual Blade skill: Blade Storm
- Cut enemies in front of you with the speed of a storm.
- New Viper skill: Transform
- The return of an stronger power, the superhuman.

- Summon a burst of energy with unknown power.

- Allow time to go beyond its limits.
- New Kinesis skill: Dust Tornado
- Using liberated telekinesis, attack enemies around you with a powerful tornado of objects.
Other Stuff
- New skill system: V Matrix
- “I will make my own choices for the 5th job skills that make me stronger.”

- New equipment system: Arcane Symbol
- In the new area, you can obtain new equipment parts
- New stat: Arcane Force (equipment can raise this stat)

I’d reckon it’ll be a medley of maple music and I REALLY hope it’s recorded cause i’ll have to kick someone’s ass if they play leafre and Raindrop flower in the same medley and it’s not recorded.
Also you can mess with the lights and have certain keys set to play certain light patterns, and i’m sure they’ll ham that up.
Ohhhh that’s what those things are called. That’s pretty cool. Nexon is pretty great with the music, like that live orchestra thing last time they had a conference like this, it’ll probably be awesome!
Yeah nobody really gave them a name until more recently. a couple years ago I think, till then most people I know just called them musical soundboards.

Does anyone know if 5th job is just one skill or is it multiple?

Do you have any idea what the “Mega Burning Project” is that was mentioned in the video? It seems to imply that you’ll get 3 levels per level up up to 130, and doesn’t say event anywhere near it? Is that going to be permanent?
It is an event, and it’s the same as previous Burning events except it goes up to level 130 this time.
Seems like it’s the take V event, and it’s a normal burning event but to 130 instead of 100 (link skill farming, hoooooo), cause this is the 13th year.
Why there’s no Kanna, Hayato, Beast Tamer and Jett/Zen?
They don’t exist on KMS. Wait for JMS to get the patch, or GMS, and you’ll get what you seek.
That’s because those classes do not exist in KMS (Korea Maplestory)
GMS has a lot of things which KMS does not.

Whatever your country use to write dates, may not be what other countries use. On the other hand, maybe it’s your country that is illogical in using a different sequence from Korea?
