No new patch for this but a new event has begun, the return of Pink Bean! It’s pretty much the same as the last two times it has been released, along with the addition of one new skill.

2017 Spring: Pink Bean’s Return

The Pink Bean event will run from May 11 to June 21. You can create a Pink Bean character during this event but the following restrictions will occur while playing on it:

• All Pink Bean characters will be deleted after June 22.
• Pink Beans cannot trade with other characters. This includes regular trading, storage, hired merchants, Maple Auction, or the Meso Market. Other characters will also be unable to see any items dropped by Pink Beans.
• You cannot enter the Cash Shop.
• You can accumulate Mileage but you cannot ‘settle’ it. To ‘settle’ your Mileage (this is the thing with the annoying 10 at a time limit), you need to login to another character and enter the Cash Shop.
• If you party with other jobs, you will not receive party experience. You will receive party experience if you party with other Pink Beans however.
• You are blocked from using certain content and systems:
  • Urus
  • Helisium related quests
  • Marriage
  • Professions
  • Black Heaven
  • Heroes of Maple
  • You can join guilds, but you cannot create one or become the leader of one.
  • You cannot learn professions.
  • You cannot advance to 5th job, you cannot use Core Gemstones.
  • You cannot be placed as an attacker in Maple Union and your level will not be counted in your total level.
  • You cannot redeem Fairy Bros’ Daily Gifts or PC Room Connection gifts.
  • You cannot use certain chairs and ridings.
• You will be considered an adventurer warrior for quests.

Instead of regular Elite Monsters, some of Maple World’s adventurers who are being controlled by Black Bean will appear and attack Pink Bean.

Most of them are named after jokes and stuff and use relevant skills, like this one named Janffy who uses Fist Enrage. It’s based off this weird Korean Flash animation knockoff of One Piece called Wapiece haha.

Pink Bean’s new skill is called Pink Bean’s Tutu! It is unlocked at level 175.

• Pink Bean’s Tutu: With an interest in ballet, Pink Bean puts on a tutu and spins around to attack enemies. You can move and will be invincible while using this skill. If you use it for a certain period of time, the damage, attack range, and movement speed will increase.

Pink Bean’s Secret Diary is a set of 30 missions that you can complete on your Pink Bean character. The first 24 are the same as before and only the secret missions have been changed.

• Greet the Chicken God: collect 100 Fried Chickens
• If You’re a Monster, Be Pink: defeat 100 Pink Teddies and 100 Propellies
• We’re All Warriors At This Time: ???
• Cut Lyka: defeat the Lyka in the Mystic Gate at Road to Oblivion 5
• When the World is Tough, Music Comforts Me: use the music box in Elluel
• The Combo of Death: achieve 1444 Combo Kills

If you complete all 30 missions, you’ll receive the Holy Pink Beanity title which gives 10 all stats, 5 attack/magic attack, and 10% boss damage. It is permanent and untradeable.

Each mission has a reward that you can claim on your Pink Bean as well as one you can claim on any other character in the same world.

Finally, if you get your Pink Bean to level 100, you can go on any other character in the same world and claim the Pink Bean’s Giftbox which can be traded through the account once. It gives:

• My Friend is Pink Bean! medal (30 all stats, 2000 HP/MP, 10 attack/magic attack, stats expire in 30 days)
• Permanent Pink Bean Transformation Potion
• Pink Bean’s Experience Potion (contains enough experience to go from level 1 to 120, untradeable, expires in 7 days)
• Pink Bean’s Personality Trait Potion
• Character Slot Expansion Coupon

MapleStory M Aran Growth Support

In MapleStory M, Aran is now available to play so the Aran Growth Support event will begin on May 11 and run until June 7.

If you create a new Aran on MapleStory M and reach certain levels, you’ll receive rewards in MapleStory online!

• Lv. 30: Travelling Salesman Mew Mew
• Lv. 50: Blood Ring (7 days), Teleport World Map (7 days)
• Lv. 70: 10 Safety Charms (7 days), Winter Wonderland Effect (30 days)
• Lv. 90: Character Slot Coupon, 2 2x Experience Coupons (15 minutes)
• Lv. 110: Lil’ Aran Pet Set (pet lasts 30 days and cannot be extended)
