A new video was uploaded on the MapleStory YouTube channel where they talked about the upcoming 20th anniversary event, changes coming to the game, and a date for the summer update showcase!

Also, just a heads up that I’m going on vacation from next week until the start of May, so I’ll be missing both the test server and official server patches (April 13 and April 20). Some friends might be helping me out by writing the posts for me but that is TBA lol.

MapleStory 20th Anniversary Preview

These events and changes will be added to the test server on April 13, and to the official server on April 20.

20th Anniversary Event: Mapril Island

• Mapril Island is a fantastic world created by gathering memories from MapleStory players over the past 20 years.
  • It is designed as a theme park with different areas for each of the past anniversary events, such as Would You Like Maple (14th), Maple 15th Street (15th), Newtro Time (16th), and Blooming Forest (18th).
  • Reese and Ellie, who appeared in last year’s Maple Momentree event, will also return.
  • A variety of memories will be hidden around the map for you to find.
• Since it’s the 20th anniversary event, it will have the highest level of benefits ever.
  • The types and amount of rewards you can receive from the event will be much higher than previous events.
  • The overall event participation difficulty will be lowered.
  • You will be able to acquire all previous anniversary outfits, as well as a new type of Decoration item in the 20th anniversary.

Business Model and Equipment Growth Improvements

• Buff Freezers and Pendant Slot Expansions will become free permanently applied features.
• New scrolls will be added to Spell Traces.
  • 100% Clean Slate Scroll
  • 100% Ark Innocent Scroll
  • 100% Innocent Scroll
  • 100% Gold Hammer
• The accessibility of Additional Potential will be alleviated.
  • Strange Additional Cubes will be able to tier up to Epic rank, and reroll Epic rank Additional Potential.
• The Cube Rank Up system will be improved.
  • A new ceiling system will be added when using Red Cubes, Black Cubes, and Additional Cubes. If you use a certain number of cubes without tiering up, you will be guaranteed to tier up on the next cube.

20th Anniversary Fan Fest

• The MapleStory Fan Fest will take place from April 28 to April 30 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza art hall.
• You will enter through a real-life Dimensional Library and be able to enjoy beautifully presented displays of the updates from the last 20 years, various MapleStory characters, and locations.
• In addition, you can see unreleased artwork and a variety of new illustrations available for the first time.
• In an area designed after the Henesys Market, you will be able to buy various MapleStory merchandise and play minigames with NPCs from Maple World.
• They have not been able to have real-life events for a while because of COVID, so they are planning things like this event where they expect more than 6,000 people to participate. They want it to feel like you’re in Henesys channel 1.

2023 Summer Showcase

• From the things mentioned in previous Vision Talk, since April is prioritizing events and various improvements first, the Summer Showcase will introduce changes to gameplay and content.
• The showcase will be held on June 10. It will be an offline event, held at the Jamsil SK Handball Stadium
