kMSt ver. 1.2.479 – Archer Reorganization and Other Skill Changes!

1.2.479 World Selection

A new patch has been released to Tespia, this time with the Archer reorganization (finally!)! It also includes some more changes to Warriors and Mages as well as Battlemages, Aran, Evan, Mercedes, and Xenon. There was also a new theme dungeon released along with the Auction House system. Did you notice the new archer’s hairpin is the old cursor? What a cute throwback!

I am in love with the new archer changes (except for the skill effects, Bowmasters should be red, not green! Also Uncountable Arrow is actually so ugly). Bowmasters rely on quick repositioning and rapid fire attacks while Marksman stop monsters in their tracks and move further away to do more damage!

The Auction House has been added! Currently I don’t think it’s functional, but someone recorded a video of the UI.

Riena Strait

A new theme dungeon for levels 50 or more called Riena Strait has been added! You can access it through Rien’s port after talking to Lilin. Rien is investigating a strait nearby where a glacier has been melting suspiciously…

Here are the monsters of the area. As you can see, it’s the Black Wings that are the cause of the melting glacier! You must defeat them to save it!

Sailor Mask Apprentice Sailor

You get the Sailor Mask (2 to all stats, 55 HP and MP, 10 accuracy and avoid, 3 slots, level 60 face accessory) and the Apprentice Sailor medal (3 to all stats, 150 HP and MP, 15 accuracy and avoid).

Nihal Desert

Ariant Coliseum has returned!! This time it’s for levels 50 to 80 and can be played 10 times per day. You can enter the queue from anywhere or go to the party quest map and talk to Cesar. You no longer need slots to play as the items used have been turned into ‘action keys’.

El Nath Mountains

Autopilot Riding has been expanded to the El Nath continent, Rien, and Ereb.

Magnus

Easy Mode Magnus has been added, and can be fought in a party of 1 or more level 90+. You can defeat him 2 times per week and it does not share a limit with Normal or Hard Mode Magnus.

Bucklerman's Mastery Book Shop

A new NPC in Leafre, Bucklerman has been added to sell general mastery books. As you can see, he only has two items in stock, the Mastery Book 20 and Mastery Book 30 for 14m and 20m. I think you might be able to guess what they do…

When you double click on them, you can choose one of your own skills to increase the master level of! That’s right, no need to buy a specific book or try your luck with Mystery Mastery Books!! I’m not too sure of the specifics (like does it include Maple Warrior?) but this is a great idea and good change to the Mastery Book system~

Battlemage

First Job

  • Triple Blow Triple Blow: damage has been increased from 130% to 150%
  • Teleport Teleport: max level has been decreased from 15 to 5
  • Art of Staff New! Art of Staff: Gain knowledge of how to handle your staff, increasing your magic attack by 20 as well as your speed, jump, and maximum speed by 20%. (max level: 20)
  • Finish Attack Removed! Finish Attack

Second Job

  • Staff Booster Staff Booster: weapon speed boost has been decreased from 2 stages to 1
  • Blood Drain Blood Drain: max level has been decreased from 15 to 10

Third Job

  • Death Blow Death Blow: damage has been increased from 140% to 165%
  • Super Body Superbody: duration has been increased to 150 seconds, max level has been increased from 10 to 20
  • Advanced Blue Aura Removed! Advanced Blue Aura: moved to 4th job

Fourth Job

  • Advanced Blue Aura New! Advanced Blue Aura: max level decreased to 10
  • Advanced Yellow Aura Advanced Yellow Aura: max level decreased to 10

  • Staff Expert New! Staff Expert: Your mastery over the staff is increased to 70% as well as your magic attack by 30 and your minimum critical damage by 15%. (max level: 30)

  • Finish Blow Finish Blow: damage has been increased from 200% to 240%, new effect of 20% defense ignore and 20% increased damage to bosses has been added

Battle Master Effect

  • Battle Master New! Battle Master: Become a master of battle, fighting without fear, increasing your stance by 100%, your maximum critical damage by 20%, and your damage cap by 5,000,000 for 180 seconds. [required level: 150]

Mercedes

Fourth Job

  • Defense Break Defense Break: new effects of 30% max critical damage and 15% boss damage have been added
  • Lightning Edge Lightning Edge: new effect has been added where when used on a boss, a debuff will be applied for 10 seconds that increases Ring of Ishtar’s damage by 20% and ignores the boss’s touch damage
  • Ring of Ishtar Ring of Ishtar: can now move while using this skill

Aran

  • Double Swing Triple Swing the way basic attacks, Double Swing, and Triple Swing link together has been changed
  • Combo Drain Combo Barrier Combo Drain and Combo Barrier have been active buff skills, they no longer require key commands

Evan

8th Growth

  • Onyx's Protection Onyx’s Protection: passive effect of 15% resistance to states and elements has been added

Hyper

  • Summon Onyx Dragon Summon Onyx Dragon: duration has been increased from 3o to 45 seconds, cooldown has been decreased from 90 to 80 seconds, now when summoned your resistance to states and elements will be increased by 80%

Kaiser

  • Nova Hero's Will can now use Nova Hero’s Will while Transfigured

Luminous

  • Equilibrium Equilibrium: damage done by Damage Reflect will now be reduced to 1 while in the Equilibrium state, Bless of Darkness’ orbs will no longer disappear if hit while in the Equilibrium state
  • Bless of Darkness Bless of Darkness: damage reduction effect will now apply to damage done by Damage Reflect, orbs will no longer disappear if a monster’s attack is Guarded or avoided, damage reduction will now be applied before Ordinary Magic Guard’s effect
  • Anti Magic Shell Anti Magic Shell: Anti Magic Shell will now only be used up for status effects such as seduce, stun, zombify, and transform (among others), basic status effects (such as darkness or curse) will not use up the shield and will afflict you regularly, will not be used up if your resistance to states and elements activates and resists the status

Xenon

First Job

  • Multilateral II Multilateral II: new effect of 5% HP and MP has been added
  • Incline Power Incline Power: passive all stats boost has been removed

Second Job

  • Multilateral III Multilateral III: new effect of 5% HP and MP has been added
  • Linear Perspective Linear Perspective: passive all stats boost has been removed

Swordsman

  • Iron Body Iron Body: new effect of reducing damage taken from monsters within 150 range by 10% has been added
  • Warrior Mastery Warrior Mastery: new effect of increasing your HP by 20 for each level has been added

Fighter

  • Combo Force Combo Force: when attacking a boss, there is now a 80% chance to regain the Combo Count used to activate the skill
  • Rage Rage: damage reduction has been increased from 20% to 30%
  • Final Attack Final Attack: effect has been renewed

Crusader

  • Combo Synergy Combo Synergy: new effect of having a 30% chance to charge a Combo Count when attacked by a monster has been added
  • Brave Slash Brave Slash: number of monsters hit has been increased from 4 to 6
  • Panic Panic: duration of increased Combo usage has been decreased from 30 seconds to 10 seconds

Hero

Raging Blow (Enrage) Effect

  • Raging Blow Raging Blow: range has been increased, damage has been increased from 240% to 268%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8, now last two hits will be critical instead of just last one, now when used during Enrage, you will hit 335% damage 5 times on one monster with an increased range and a new effect
  • Enrage Enrage: Combo counters required has been decreased from 10 to 1, has been changed into an On/Off skill
  • Incising Incising: damage has been decreased from 900% to 576%, number of hits has been increased from 2 to 3, Combo counters required has been decreased from 8 to 4, DoT and buff duration have been increased from 20 to 30 seconds, delay has been decreased

Page

  • Elemental Charge Elemental Charge: damage per Elemental Charge has been removed, now you gain 2% increased damage and healing, 8 attack, 2% resistance to states and elements, and 2% damage reduction per Charge

White Knight

  • Shield Mastery Shield Mastery: defense and magic defense boost has been increased from 50% to 250%, status and element resistance has been increased from 20% to 40%, new effect of 60% chance of stun when Guarding an attack has been added, Shield Mastery now applies if you are wearing the subweapon Rosario
  • Parashock Guard Parashock Guard: party defense boost has been removed, now decreases party’s damage taken by 20%, attack boost has been increased from 10 to 20
  • Achilles Achilles: damage reduction has been increased from 20% to 30%

Paladin

Blast (Incising) Effect

  • Blast Blast: number of monsters hit has been decreased from 5 to 1, previous effects based on number of Elemental Charges has been removed, now increases your critical chance by 40%, defense ignore by 30%, and total damage by 40% for 45 seconds if you have 5 Elemental Charges active, new effect has been added when used while Hero’s Incising buff is active, delay has been decreased
  • Advanced Charge Advanced Charge: new effect of increasing your damage by 3% per Elemental Charge and your attack by 12 has been added

Spearman

  • Beholder Beholder: cooldown has been decreased from 120 seconds to 60

Berserker

  • Beholder's Buff Beholder’s Buff: attack boost has been increased from 30 to 40, new critical chance boost of 10% has been added

Dark Knight

  • Gungnir Descent Gungnir Descent: delay has been decreased, cooldown has been decreased from 20 seconds to 8 seconds, new effect of 30% defense ignore has been added
  • Dark Impale Dark Impale: damage has been increased from 235% to 269%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8, defense ignore has been removed
  • Sacrifice Sacrifice: defense ignore boost has been decreased from 30% to 10%, new effect of 10% boss damage has been added, duration has been increased from 30 seconds to 40 seconds, passive effect of 30% defense ignore has been added
  • Reincarnation Reincarnation: now ignores damage reflect while you are invincible, cooldown has been decreased from 600 seconds to 360 seconds
  • Gungnir Descent - Reinforce New! Gungnir Descent – Reinforce: Gungnir Descent’s damage is increased by 20%. [required level: 155]
  • Gungnir Descent - Ignore Guard New! Gungnir Descent – Ignore Guard: Gungnir Descent’s defense ignored is increased by 20%. [required level: 177]
  • Gungnir Descent - Boss Killer New! Gungnir Descent – Boss Killer: Gungnir Descent’s damage to bosses is increased by 20%. [required level: 195]
  • Dark Impale - Reinforce Dark Impale - Ignore Guard Dark Impale - Bonus Attack Removed! Dark Impale – Reinforce/Ignore Guard/Bonus Attack

Magician

All three Magician classes have a shield that protects them from status effects. These shields will now only be used up for status effects such as seduce, stun, zombify, and transform (among others). Basic status effects (such as darkness or curse) will not use up the shield and will afflict you regularly. In addition, your shield will not be used up if your resistance to states and elements activates and resists the status.

Magician

  • Magic Guard Magic Guard: can no longer be dispelled, damage reduction effects will now be properly applied to Magic Guard

F/P Wizard

  • Flame Orb Flame Orb: damage has been decreased from 510% to 301%, number of hits has been increased from 1 to 2
  • Elemental Drain Elemental Drain: the speed at which it recognized DoT around you has been improved to work better

F/P Mage

  • Explosion Explosion: damage has been decreased from 662% to 405%, number of hits has been increased from 1 to 2
  • Poison Mist Poison Mist: damage has been increased from 230% to 270%, damage over time has been increased from 140% to 180%
  • Extreme Magic (FP) Extreme Magic: now applies to the new Freeze effect
  • Elemental Adapting (FP) Elemental Adapting (F/P): MP consumed per shield has been decreased from 15% to 2%, maximum number of shields has been increased from 3 to 5, cooldown has been decreased from 300 seconds to 240 seconds

F/P Archmage

*CLARIFICATION* Meteor’s extra attack applies to all skills while Meteor is on cooldown, it’s basically a Final Attack for all your skills (my translation was a bit wrong last patch)

  • Paralyze Paralyze: damage has been increased from 200% to 261%, now monsters under the paralysis effect will change colour
  • Meteor Meteor: cooldown has been increased from 30 seconds to 45 seconds
  • Flame Haze Flame Haze: damage has been decreased from 520% to 504%, number of hits has been increased from 5 to 6, cooldown has been increased from 4 to 10 seconds, now decreases the enemy’s defense by 50%, now creates a Poison Mist at the position of the enemy hit, Mist Eruption will now reset the cooldown of this skill
  • Mist Eruption Mist Eruption: if you successfully damage something with this skill, Flame Haze’s cooldown will be refreshed

I/L Wizard

  • Cold Beam Cold Beam: damage has been increased from 188% to 199%
  • Thunder Bolt Thunder Bolt: damage has been increased from 168% to 210%

I/L Mage

  • Ice Strike Ice Strike: damage has been increased from 275% to 335%
  • Glacial Chain Glacial Chain: damage has been decreased from 420% to 383%, number of hits has been increased from 2 to 3
  • Thunder Storm Thunderstorm: delay between attacks has been reduced greatly, number of monsters hit has been decreased from 8 to 5
  • Elemental Adapting (IL) Elemental Adapting (I/L): duration has been increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, cooldown has been decreased from 300 seconds to 240 seconds

I/L Archmage

*CLARIFICATION* Blizzard’s extra attack applies to all skills while Blizzard is on cooldown, it’s basically a Final Attack for all your skills (my translation was a bit wrong last patch)

  • Chain Lightning Chain Lightning: damage has been decreased from 276% to 273%, number of hits has been increased from 4 to 6, delay has been decreased (back to what it was originally I believe, since last patch they increased the delay)
  • Freezing Breath Freezing Breath: maximum keydown time has been increased from 20 to 25 seconds, cooldown has been increased from 60 to 120 seconds
  • Frozen Orb Frozen Orb: damage has been increased from 180% to 220%, delay has been decreased
  • Glacial Chain - Cooltime Reduce Glacial Chain – Cooltime Reduce has been changed to Glacial Chain - Critical Rate Glacial Chain – Critical Rate: Glacial Chain’s critical chance is increased by 20%. [required level: 195]

Cleric

  • Holy Arrow Holy Arrow: damage has been increased from 310% to 518%, range has been increased, delay has been decreased

Priest

  • Shining Ray Shining Ray: damage has been increased from 250% to 254%, number of hits has been increased from 3 to 4
  • Divine Protection Divine Protection: passive state and element resistance has been increased from 20% to 40%, cooldown has been decreased from 300 seconds to 180 seconds
  • Holy Fountain Holy Fountain: can now be used while Zombify status is applied
  • Dispel Dispel: Dispel can now heal stun, seduce, confusion, zombify, and Dark Tornado

Bishop

  • Angel Ray Angel Ray: damage has been decreased from 395% to 365%, number of hits has been increased from 3 to 4, delay has been decreased, now ignores Zombify while healing party members
  • Genesis Genesis: damage has been decreased from 1900% to 810%, number of hits has been increased from 2 to 6, cooldown has been increased from 30 seconds to 45 seconds, delay has been decreased
  • Big Bang Big Bang: range has been increased, defense reduction effect has been increased from 5% to 10%, max number of stacks has been decreased from 8 to 4, defense reduction effect’s duration has been increased from 8 to 15 seconds, this skill can now be used while jumping
  • Advanced Bless Advanced Bless: reduced effects due to the decreased max level have been reverted to the previous effects (max level has not changed, it is still 20)
  • Advanced Bless - Boss Killer New! Advanced Bless – Boss Killer: Advanced Bless increases your damage to bosses by 10%. [required level: 177]
  • Advanced Bless - Enhance Removed! Advanced Bless – Enhance

Arrow Blow Effect

  • Arrow Blow Arrow Blow: damage has been increased from 260% to 295%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 3 to 4, max level has been increased from 15 to 20, effect and icon have been renewed

  • Double Jump New! Double Jump: While in the air, you can press jump again to move forward, ↑ + ↑ to move upwards, or ↓ + ↓ to fall downwards quickly. (max level: 10)
  • Archer Mastery Archer Mastery: now causes all attacks to not consume normal arrows (attack arrows will still be consumed normally)
  • Double Shot Removed! Double Shot

Hunter

  • Quiver Cartridge New! Quiver Cartridge: [Bowmaster’s Specialized Skill] Create a quiver that holds 10 of 3 different types of arrowheads, which each have different effects when used. Drain Arrows have a 30% chance to drain 20% of the damage you do as HP, Poison Arrows deal 90% damage over time every second for 8 seconds (can stack up to 3 times), and Magic Arrows have a 50% chance to shoot another arrow that deals 220% damage. Pressing the skill key will switch to the next type of arrow and when you run out of one type, you will automatically switch to the next. (max level: 1)

Arrow Bomb Effect

  • Arrow Bomb Arrow Bomb: damage has been increased from 380% to 450%, range has been increased, effect has been renewed

Retreat Shot Effect

  • Retreat Shot New! Retreat Shot: Jump back while in the air and launch arrows dealing 103% damage continuously while you hold the skill key down (up to maximum of 2 seconds). (max level: 10)

Soul Arrow Effect

  •  Soul Arrow: new effect of 30 attack has been added, max level has been increased from 10 to 20, duration has been decreased from 300 seconds to 180 seconds, effect has been renewed

Bow Booster Effect

  • Bow Booster Bow Booster: effect has been renewed
  • Double Jump Removed! Double Jump: moved to 1st job
  • Silver Hawk Removed! Silver Hawk

Ranger

  • Flame Shot Flame Shot: damage has been decreased from 520% to 400%, number of hits has been increased from 1 to 2, range has been increased

Hurricane Effect

  • Hurricane New! Hurricane: Fire a storm of arrows at one enemy in front of you, dealing 158% damage per arrow continuously while the skill key is held down. You can move while using this skill but your speed will be decreased to 100%.  (max level: 20)

Phoenix Effect

  • Phoenix Phoenix: passive effect of 30% defense and magic defense has been added, effect has been renewed

Steig Eisen Effect

  • Steig Eisen New! Steig Eisen: Shoot a hook at the farthest enemy in range and move behind them while dealing 170% damage and ignoring all monsters’ touch damage. Passive effect: increase your HP by 40%. (max level: 10)
  • Extreme Archery Bow New! Extreme Archery: Bow: When used, your defense and magic defense will be decreased by 40% while your attack will be increased by 20. Using the skill again will remove the effect (On/Off skill). (max level: 10)

Concentration Effect

  • Concentration New! Concentration: Whenever you hit an enemy, concentrate and increase your resistance to states and elements by 5%. When you successfully resist a status, this skill will go on cooldown for 30 seconds. Passive effect: 20% resistance to states and elements. (max level: 20)
  • Marksmanship New! Marksmanship: When attacking monsters, permanently ignore 25% of their defense while increasing your accuracy by 25% and your damage by 15%. (max level: 20)
  • Strafe Removed! Strafe: replaced by Hurricane
  • Puppet Removed! Puppet: Puppet’s playstyle matches Marksman’s but not Bowmaster’s, so it was removed.
  • Drain Arrow Removed! Drain Arrow: replaced by Quiver Cartridge’s Drain Arrows
  • Concentrate Removed! Concentrate: effect has been moved to Soul Arrow
  • Arrow Rain Removed! Arrow Rain

Bowmaster

Arrow Platter Effect

  • Arrow Platter New! Arrow Platter: Shoot arrows at an angle dealing 336% damage on up to 4 enemies continuously as long as the skill key is held down (up to a maximum of 15 seconds). You can use the up and down arrow keys to change the direction of the arrows, but you cannot move. (max level: 30)

Wounds Shot Effect

  • Wounds Shot New! Wounds Shot: Shoot an arrow dealing 530% damage 4 times on one enemy, inflicting wounds that decrease the effectiveness of their healing by 60% for 20 seconds. There is a cooldown of 10 seconds. (max level: 10)

Uncountable Arrow Effect

  • Uncountable Arrow New! Uncountable Arrow: Instantly shoot countless arrows at up to 8 enemies in front of you, dealing 340% damage 4 times. (max level: 30)
  • Illusion Step Illusion Step: new passive effect of ignoring 20% damage taken from monsters has been added

Advanced Quiver Effect

  • Advanced Quiver New! Advanced Quiver: The arrowheads of Quiver Cartridge are not consumed for 30 seconds. There is a cooldown of 30 seconds. Passive effect: Drain Arrows now have a 40% chance to drain 30% HP, Poison Arrows deal 110% damage, and Magic Arrows have a 70%  chance to shoot another arrow that deals 260% damage. (max level: 10)

Armor Piercing Effect

  • Armor Piercing New! Armor Piercing: When attacking, you have a 10% chance to ignore 50% of an enemy’s defense while doing 100% increased damage. For every attack that does not activate this effect, the chance of it occurring will increase by 10% (up to 10 times) and will reset once it does activate. (max level: 20)
  • Arrow Platter - Reinforce New! Arrow Platter – Reinforce: Arrow Platter’s damage is increased by 20%. [required level: 155]
  • Arrow Platter - Boss Killer New! Arrow Platter – Boss Killer: Arrow Platter’s damage to bosses is increased by 10%. [required level: 177]
  • Arrow Platter - Extra Target New! Arrow Platter – Extra Target: Arrow Platter’s number of monsters hit is increased by 1. [required level: 195]
  • Uncountable Arrow - Reinforce New! Uncountable Arrow – Reinforce: Uncountable Arrow’s damage is increased by 20%. [required level: 149]
  • Uncountable Arrow - Extra Target New! Uncountable Arrow – Extra Target: Uncountable Arrow’s number of monsters hit is increased by 1. [required level: 168]
  • Uncountable Arrow - Bonus Attack New! Uncountable Arrow – Bonus Attack: Uncountable Arrow’s number of hits is increased by 1. [required level: 189]
  • Sharp Eyes - Persist New! Sharp Eyes – Persist: Sharp Eyes’ duration is increased by 30 seconds. [required level: 143]
  • Sharp Eyes - Ignore Guard New! Sharp Eyes – Ignore Guard: Sharp Eyes gains a 5% defense ignore effect. [required level: 162]
  • Sharp Eyes - Critical Rate New! Sharp Eyes – Critical Rate: Sharp Eyes’ critical chance boost is increased by 5%. [required level: 183]

(max level: 1)

Iron Arrow Effect

  • Iron Arrow Iron Arrow: damage has been increased from 380% to 450%, effect has been renewed

Net Throwing Effect

      the battlemage’s batte king’s bar should be an automatic skill after finishing blow, i hate having to press the button after finishing blow because its not a smooth transition and the stupid notification constantly pops up of its nonavailability unless after finishing blow and they should have given finishing blow the ordinary hyper enhancements such as +20% dmg +1 extra attack so it would be 7 instead of 6 and like +20% extra critical

      Mercedes get buffed continuinly whilst adventures slighly get nerfed? Bowmaster are no longer a 1v1 class.. hurricane got killed and isnt replaced by this 15second mobbing knockoff. Why the ORIGINAL hurricane (1v1) class loses it… loses their puppet that helped with their survivability.. and im sure on the cusp of losing their avoid… unbelivable.. and here is mercedes getting their THIRD buff…

      Even bishops got nerfed. See below comments, overall angel ray and genesis etc.. alot less usuable (weaker) then they once were :/… and yet mercedes gets buffed again -__-… i just cant believe it.. Just you wait for the pirate/theif one.. Ishtar Ring with spash damage that mobs 20times or some crap like that.

        Mercedes has been bottom of the barrel DPM for a LONG time. They nerfed her about as hard as they are nerfing Xenon currently, if not harder. It’s about time she got some damn buffs.

            Idk what you are talking about, because in gms unless you have like 400% dex, a good weapon, and a lot of weapon atk your ishitar ring cant even do 50k per shot at 150. While Bowmasters and Marksman be doing 100ks per hit before lvl 150 because of their skills that do like 400% and like 130% damage. And besides hurricane got replaced by a skill that does 336% dmg and their 2 new other skills do over 300% damage. But mercedes ishitar ring is only 180%, so they need A LOT more funding to do max then bowmasters or marksman.

    But the defense ignore was given to another skill with a cooldown? WTF? I don’t get it?< <

    Dark Knights would lose a lot of dmg because of this. 😦 <

    Thankfully, people will be happy about pallys now, they reversed the defense nerfs.

      Sacrifice: defense ignore boost has been decreased from 30% to 10%, new effect of 10% boss damage has been added, duration has been increased from 30 seconds to 40 seconds, passive effect of 30% defense ignore has been added

      PASSIVE effect of 30% defense ignore has been added, it’s actually a pretty big buff overall.

        The hell are you talking about? Sacrifice is basically the new Berserk. Meaning you’d max sacrifice first before just about anything. Meaning you get 30% def ignore before you even max Dark Impale. Sucks…? I think not.

          Okay, I had to go back and double check the previous changes. If you go back, you will see TOO that the old Sacrifice was taken out from 3rd JOB, and a new one was added to 4th job. That means, you would have to max both skills at 4th job, to get the same effect Dark Impale had before. That’s right both skills require lv30. <

          Hell, if you read Max post, you will see Sacrifice is listed under DARK KNIGHT and not berserk.

          Still unclear if mastery books were taken out for adventurer or not. I guess we will see when they bring the update to the real server.

            Ughh… What I’m saying is, Berserk was REPLACED with Sacrifice, except Sac has more to it, meaning it’s better than berserk.

            This new Sacrifice isn’t the one-hit-on-one-monster-thorny-animation attack we have now. This new one is a buff. The attack Sacrifice was removed completely.

            Third job Sacrifice didn’t help with crap except low-level bossing anyways. That was it. It eventually gets easily passed over for Dark Impale.

      If you math it out, Gungnir is actually 8771% per cast on normal monsters, 9568% per cast on bosses (assuming you’re just using the 30% boss from our own skills) and you can spam it for 40 seconds every 20 seconds after beholder is summoned (since its cooldown is only 60 seconds) If sacrifice works with buff duration, you can actually increase the buff to be 60 seconds as well; meaning you can just spam it endlessly and just let beholder rebuff you as needed (besides, sacrifice has the added advantage of another 10% defense ignore; so thats always nice =P)

    loving the bishop changes. Dispel dispels basicaly everything now, which is great! and ice lightning looks good aswell. And its a good thing they added that damage recution for warriors when they are up close to mobs, makes sense. And paladins seem better again.

    Did they fix Blast’s casting speed? I feel a tad bit better with the Paladin changes but I still dont like he idea of their new play style. Kind of miss Blast and ACB Spam. Maybe added a new unique attacking skill to mix things up. Oh and they need to change the skill animation for Blast. So ugly and only fire?

            For Dark Impale, the number of MONSTERS hit was increased, not lines. And it isn’t very often you’ll even NEED to attack 8 monsters at one time. Especially at later levels where damage is what really matters, not mobbing.

            Basically speaking, without DI’s extra line from Hypers, it loses 65% damage.

            Except there are a load of other means that Dark Knights get attack boosts, such as +100% damage, 70% mastery, 30 extra attack. 235% was the original REVAMPED value, not the damage % before. BEFORE the revamp, it was 200% per line. In other words…
            Dark Impale actually gets a total 145% damage boost.

            (1345-1200)=145. Boom.

        Its not about being OP its about it being balanced in which the case as usual the 3 warriors aren’t once again because, Hero got another unneeded buff and new atk.
        And DRK got new animations and a mini nerf aka the end of the stick.
        So basically the cycle continues.

They got that power because they don’t have things like 20% HP healed every 24 seconds, 80% HP boost (includes the hyper), a 20% chance to heal up to 1/2 our HP back every attack, a skill that when hit, can heal up to 10% of our HP back, a skill that sacrifices a thing for 100% HP back, and a REINCARNATION SKILL.

          So if you would like to trade say….reincarnation for enrage, i’d be willing. Then it’s fair right? You get more damage to make your damage boner happy, and I get a skill that revives me from the dead.

          It’s not necessarily about being balanced now. What they want is for each job to have their own unique play-style and such. Heroes are SUPPOSED to have the highest damage of the three warriors.

          Heroes are Damage Dealers, the Insane Killers with crazy attack buffs.
          Paladins are Unbreakable Shields, the Holy Knight with elemental capabilities
          Dark Knights are Death Defyers, The Knights that harness the power of darkness to overcome death.

            Yeah I never understood the purpose of having 3 separate adventurer warrior classes. It might make sense if Paladins can out DPS Heroes depending on whoch boss you’re fighting, if and they both die often. Unfortunately, as of now Heroes always out-DPS Palis and so there’s no point to Pali’s 😦
            For that matter, I never understood the point of having so many ranged jobs (bowmasters, marksmen, night lords, captains, mercedes, wild hunters, mechanics…)
            They’re basically the same, just with different storylines and stuff to ride on.

            Lol I agree on that ranged class part. Maybe they just want to appeal to people’s personal preferences to attract more potential customers. All long ranged classes are basically the same, with slight tweaks and specialties to each, but the basics are the same.

            Plus long-ranged classes don’t even need to be long ranged anymore to attack. The only ones that really need o be careful are adventurer archers and Mercs because of their squishiness.

      Gungnir is over 8700% per cast and it can be spammed for 40 seconds, every 20 seconds (assuming you time your sacrifices properly), before the update dark impale was only 2500% per cast. in short Gungnir rips DI into pieces damage wise (hell; if you have 50% buff duration, gungnir can literally be spammed ONE HUNDRED percent of the time)

          I’d rather use the horrible (okay its not HORRIBLE since it still has 30% defense ignore from sacrifices passive but it got a slight nerf from the loss of 1 line; not too big of a deal though) dark impale than do nothing; Although if you have it 50% buff duration (or any buff duration above 25% really) solves that problem REALLY fast =P since it reduces the cooldown to a mere 10 seconds or less; While we arn’t the equal of a hero (and we never should be because we arn’t built for max DPM) we’re more than likely the 2nd strongest of the explorer warriors again, with paladin behind us by a bit.

      The boss damage DrK’s along with the reduced cooldown with the hyper buffs…that should be more DPM than the previous patch. Considering all the ignore defense %’s, that’s 90% ignore defense and 30% boss damage (both when sacrifice is active). While it is not spammable, I think it’s still beneficial to DrK’s DPM. I’m definitely okay with it.

        WA & BM basically have similar playstyle, ranged attacker with hurricane skill, FA etc. Emerald Flower & Puppet serve the same purpose which is to divert mob aggro,

        I don’t see the reason Nexon deny BM access to puppet. I do use puppet a lot especially in Dojo/MP/Party Play Zone to draw mob aggro. Not every player are funded enough to KO mob/boss in a few seconds though.

            Well, I can’t say I’m impressed with the direction Nexon is taking, it’s like Justice patch for Thieves & Pirates all over again.

            If I want to play a mobile close combat archer I would have chosen Mercedes which is superior than BM. Besides, the new found mobility of BM isn’t that much better than WA either.

            From what I observed from Warrior/Mage revamp, Nexon has been enhancing roles of each class in party play. Why not making Bowman more than “SE” mule which sadly isn’t exclusive anymore.

            I felt that instead of removing puppet, Nexon should enhance the aggro mechanics for it to be more useful in boss run/party play e.g. Stun which affect boss. As for Quiver Cartridges, we can have arrowhead that inflict different status ailments which work on boss, i.e. Blind, Slow, Seal. They could make the status ailment less effective against boss with a cool down e.g. first hit with 90%~100% successful rate, boss gain temporary resist to status ailment thus consecutive hit with much lower successful rate, it will reset after boss status resist cool down. It will make it useful but not overpower. My 2 cents worth.

      Do Link skills mean ANYTHING to you? You really shouldn’t delete characters with link skills, ESPECIALLY not ones with links that give things like boss damage (Demon Slayer), total damage (Kanna, Demon Avenger), pdr (Luminous), critical rate (Phantom), %allstats (XENON), or Status/Elemental resistance (Dawn Warriors, Blaze Wizards, Wind Archers, Night Walkers, and Thunder Breakers) They might not seem like much, but they provide a free (and easy) method of gaining stats that you’d normally need to cube for. Together, they can improve your damage output by as much as 30%-50% on bosses, and efficiency by as much as 40%-70% (status resist doesn’t EXPLICITLY increase damage) Not sure the exact numbers, but on a boss mob with base 70% pdr, and neutral resistance you’ve got 10.5% increase in dmg from pdr boost, multiplied by a 12.5% boost from the elemental resistance, multiplied by a 20% increase in total damage, multiplied by 15% boss damage, multiplied by 10% more all stats

    Ok, am I the only fucking one paying attention to the 3rd job skill “Crossover Chain” for DrKs?

    If I read that correctly, at 100% HP, your damage is fucking doubled.

    I’m sick of hearing about how much your class “sucks” when you get buff after buff after buff.

    I think the majority of you just miss the “good ol’ days” of third job where you were the only warrior with a reliable attack.

      I’m pretty sure it’s 100% of your HP. So double your HP and there’s your additional damage added. Example, say you have 40k HP. So if you were fully healed, you deal 80k more damage.

        Nah it’s 100% of your HP ratio, meaning it takes your percentage in relation to your maximum amount of HP and turns that into your percentage of damage. So it really is a doubling effect, on top of even more percentage damage later on.. (not saying this for you, but the other ones who complain 100% of the time) I think most Dark Knights just can’t process things correctly.. They might have been those who only played the class because of how it was the top character back in the day, and so they don’t bother with the details and only look at what -seems- good or bad..
        –I certainly must say, this has me considering a Dark Knight.

      It acts as 100% Total Damage, if your hp is full.
      That means it suffers from diminishing returns the more boss damage and TD you have.
      Dark Knights’ damage does suck right now, there’s no denying it.
      Buff after buff though?
      This is the first patch in a while that has boosted our damage and survivability by a significant amount.
      Hypers gave us a boost, but other classes got an even bigger boost, leaving us further behind.

    Nexon is mad with Battle Mage -.-
    Staff Booster: weapon speed boost has been decreased from 2 stages to 1 ( Basically we are in same way as ugly and slow battle mage revamp)
    Battle Master: Become a master of battle, fighting without fear, increasing your stance by 100%, your maximum critical damage by 20%, and your damage cap by 5,000,000 for 180 seconds. [required level: 150] (Why , why?! that’s worse hyper skill compared with union aura… stance 100%? haha nice jk -.- max dmg cap up to 5m?! what’s point with it if battle king bar unlock in lv170 so…. are every lv150 able to do 5m? Noooo we aren’t. If they are going to keep it then reverse it > BattleKing bar lv150 and New hyper to lv170
    & Im fine with critical dmg 20% >.>

      Not sure what’s Nexon doing, the changes for Bams are truly horrible. They already have 90% stance they get in 3rd job, the hyper skill in itself makes no sense to me either. Why do I need 10% more stance? And lv150 is required for this crap? LOL <

        I’ve had a battlemage as a main since it was released.
        That last update with the rock fists, while good for daamge, was visually unappealing and made little sense. It’s not a good idea to completely change a class’s playstyle and feel in a single update.

        I absolutely love what they did in this patch, and I hope they keep it.
        This is the balance between the new skills and our traditional “style” that I (and most others) wanted. We get a moderate buff, plus 2 new skills, toggleable battlerage (will help ENORMOUSLY at ark/VL), and the new battle master hyper is pretty much Sharp Eyes + 100% stance with no cooldown.

        The ONLY downside to this update is the fact you’ll have to cast all your auras individually again, but that’s fine by me if I get all that other stuff.

      Your overlooking union aura is no longer needed as they buffed superbody to be maintainable on its own. the loss of booster stage kinda hurts early but with the superbody boost its easy to hit atk speed cap,
      so we end up after this patch losing 1 atk speed, and finisher, which didn’t even work with BKB anyways I believe.
      But we gain 15% min crit, 20% max crit dmg, 50 base magic attack, 70% mastery,
      20% more base dmg on finish blow, 20% def ignore, 20% boss dmg
      no CD on battlerage,
      and shelter is mildly less crappy…
      And dont need books to max aura’s.

      Overally its a very nice buff to battle mage,

      Hurricane goes to 3rd job, Arrow Platter is much like Luminous’s 3rd job Light Skill, Spectral Light. Key-Down skill that you can change the direction of w/ arrow keys.

    1.why keep move the aura from 4th jon to 3rd job, now move to 4th job again. . just combine advanced aura together. .
    2. stop repeat increasing the damage of blow,should increase the attack hit

      Just so you know, I do have a Dark Knight.

      The only things you’re taking into consideration are changes that happened to FOURTH JOB, and completely disregard any other possible buffs that carry on INTO fourth job, such as Cross Over Chain’s rather large damage boost.

      Plus, even if Dark Impale may slightly lose its edge, and ONLY slightly, all the other skills make up for it. Plus Gungnir Descent will do quite a bit as well, with its own 30% ignore. We won’t be spamming Dark Impale for our whole 4th job career.

      Besides, you should be a high enough level to be able to max all the necessary skills to get the total buff Dark Knights are getting by the time we actually RECEIVE this revamp. If you’re not, then don’t call me out. Just sayin’.

      Quit buggin’.

    O dam… They really made Snipers one of the best jobs in the game with very little funding. With all those boosts, Skill effects and Attack skills you can pretty much kill anything even with the crappiest equips.

    Now it is making me excited for NL’s. I hope they make something so unique for them which cant be compared to other jobs… Such as SP and FJ before all the new jobs took them…

    I thought Extreme Archery: Crossbow was a reduction of Weapon and Magic Avoid by 50% which increased Maximum Critical Damage by 25% rather than Max Crit Chance by 20%

    Interesting changes =o
    I noticed for Battle Mages, they replaced Union Aura with Battle Mastery which gives them 100% stance. I also noticed that it wasn’t mentioned if Power Stance in 3rd job was removed, I think it would be silly to keep Power Stance and then get a complete replacement for it at level 150.

    Oh, and you wrote that Advanced Blue Aura was removed from 2nd job, I believe it was actually in 3rd job.

      Its near pointless, we are still at +4 atk speed even with the nerf. most weapons will be hitting the speed cap either way

    It says Bucklerman sells general mastery books… What exactly does that cover, and how much does he charge? I was hoping you wouldn’t gloss over that… The one thing that pushed me over the edge to quitting was how much work it was to get those stupid books just so you could watch them fail… I failed 5 70% books in a row and never even bothered logging in again.

    Idk why people like the bowmaster changes. Hurricane went from 260% to 158%? It doesn’t say split, so we have the worse ‘hurricane’ out of the archers even though we were the originals. The uncountable arrow looks ugly. The arrow platter makes us immobile. Puppet removed, even though WA have it. To me, wind archer skills should have been what bowmasters should’ve got. I really hope they change these, because I am not liking the ‘revamp.’ Bowmasters no longer look like bowmasters.

      It feels very much like the last cosair change – the changes look fairly good and could play farily well, but it’s such a drastic change that it’s simply not the same class anymore; anyone who enjoys the style of the current class will simply be left out in the cold. What we’re getting looks closer to a weapon-attack lumi than a bowmaster.

    somebody else better be just as pissed as I am about the fucking hurricane 3rd job thing. Hurricane was the bowmasters things…. for the most part im content albeit a few minor complaints. But WOW. i consider that a huge fuck up.

    I see paladins got some defense back:) Though i’ll hold my horses on account of power guard still gone if i’m correct (50% 1/1 defense out the window), and those stacking charge effects…is there any cap on number of stacks (like it was 8 last time?)
    Props for finally giving pallies solid status defense.

    As for Marksmen i got few gripes with the changes:
    – no 1v1 skill whatsoever save snipe, and that becomes spammable only at lvl 198 if i recall with hyper skill
    – pierce might be stronger (mostly due to no charging), but where’s the POWER? Ofc i can do math, but i mean the SINGLE uber powerful hit, that made SICK numbers pop up?
    – arrow illusion – i see marksman got their own magnetic anchor, but that animetion is just so not fitting with marksman theme
    – painkiller’s active effect – 1 sec immunity to status effects puzzles me to no end…why only 1 sec, especially given it has 300 secs cd? Very limited use here..
    – i don’t see iron irrow effect being reneved at all, that’s the old animation unless i missed a few pixel’s difference
    – will miss the golden eagle sniff, he was a marksman classic

    Other the that sweet rewamp for marksman if you ask me:)

      Actually, at 2% per charge of damage reduction and 5 possible charges, you have 10%, with Parashock Guard, you get a 20% damage reduction, and with Achilles, you get a now boosted 30% damage reduction. So, that is 60% vs. the old 70%, but if you’re hit closely enough thanks to Iron Body, it’s back at that full 70% O: Plus quite a power increase, so I’m -very- satisfied. :3

    I/L still lack benefits from this revamp. CL gets back 6 hits but glacier just got 1 more hit and its COOLDOWN REDUCTION has been changed to another skill with % crit?…
    Why doesnt Nexon understand that I/L already has high % crit and giving them a specialize skill that gives % crit is useless? also, if the old cooldown is reinstated in glacier chain, it will cause the same bugs as it did before hyper skills. (cooldown states 5secs but actually took 6~20secs to CD)
    Also, whats the point of adding longer duration to freezing breath? make us stand there and do nothing longer? the cooldown is doubled too…
    Lastly, they state in F/P that extreme magic can be actiavted by the new freeze effect… uhh.. hello? i/l with its almost all skills freezeing cant get storm magic activated? we need clarifications..
    Overall RED really destroyed the class… while F/P gets more buffed insanely….

      I/L got plenty of benefits from this revamp, lot of damage buffs, more new skills, etc.
      Unfortunately Glacier Chain isn’t going to be the uber powerful skill that it used to be
      It went from 2380% with cooldown down to 1149% with no cooldown.
      Chain lightning went from 1680% to 2293%
      Now we also get the bonus damage from that thunder storm, the final attack from Blizzard, the new frozen orb skill, the bonus crit from the passive (How is that useless?)
      If you don’t want to use that frozen breath, then don’t use it, but it sounds great for fighting a boss in a party.

      How the hell does I/L getting buffs “destroy the class”? Are you insane? That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard.
      Freezing enemies did nothing before, now it does.
      It should be obvious that storm magic should work for i/l too, they’re not so stupid as to forget that.
      We get to do the same things as before and more, with more damage, more party potential, more actually -being- an ice-lightning spellcaster instead of everything being immune to your main status effect.
      Not destroyed, stronger than ever, and looking like a great prelude to 5th job, in case you’re forgetting that things are still going to change.

        thunderstorm is practically useless. I/L with the Hyperskill teleport mastery & the new improved teleport, the extremely slow cloud often dissappears as it cannot keep up with the caster.
        Also, why give i/l % crit? wont % crit damage be better? even my i/l has 100% crit without DSE now and adding more wont do any good while f/p do get % dmg per DoT and their damage can increase continuously per counter..
        Before you say that freezing does nothing now, let me clarify, freezing in the present [in GMS,MapleSEA currently] STOPS the monster from moving+attacking, AFTER RED, Mobs just get slowed and can deal magic attacks to the player. This is horrible for lower lvl training as it drains too much MP at lower levels due to dmg intake from magic guard. MP eater was nerfed to being barely useful and freezing does help.
        You say freezing breath is good? well i was only asking like a “flame haze kind of attack or even at least 1 attack per 5 secs or somthing” to be added cause standing there for 25secs can get dull. But if you want to stand there for 25secs pressing a button by all means.

        The problem with storm magic is that it works for stun and/or frozen mobs well, stun is not a problem but the new freeze is now “slight freeze” like how it is stated in frozen breath, i just want clarifications if its still the same and why place it under F/P that makes it even more curious…

        F/P get skills that compliment one another like [poison mist+flame haze+ mist eruption] while i/l are forced to just spam chain lightning?
        Its called a revamp… but they just took away the [Chain lightning+glacier chain] combo… the game play has not improved.

          I doubt thunderstorm is as useless as you suggest it is.
          I don’t see how you’ve gotten 100% crit on your i/l, when they only get one skill that gives +30% crit, that’s shared with f/p
          the only other crit we get is the bonus crit chance that chain lightning currently gets.
          If you include other crit from equipment or link skills, f/p can get the same thing, you may as well say that there’s no point in crit skills at all because you can get it other ways.

          The reason why I say freezing does nothing currently is because it does not apply to many enemies. Bosses, party zone enemies, etc. Those are immune. You do not get to STOP them.
          Any enemy weak enough that you can stop them, you can kill them in one or two hits anyways.
          It’s the same thing with the BS passive that storm magic gets, a chance to instant kill things that are under a status effect, but only things that are easily killed without that are affected by it.
          Now you can actually freeze things that -matter-.
          Since when was MP during lower levels an issue? Heck, you get enough potions from quests to cover it all, and you don’t want to be smacking your face into every monster you come across anyways.
          Freezing never helped at all from what I saw while playing my I/L to 170.

          It does feel weird that it doesn’t do any damage at all, and I hope they fix that, but seriously, it’s no big deal. It’s a neat attack, it’s not the end of the damn world, and you don’t have to spend 25 seconds with the key down, but using it to dodge some nasty attacks is a cool concept too. It’s a defensive option that wasn’t there before, we have plenty of awesome attacks already.
          However, I do agree things could use a bit of clarification, and while frozen breath looks cool, it’s also a little weird and people who obsess over getting out as much damage on their own as possible will probably hate it.

          It’s likely that it was just obvious that I/L mages will get the damage boost on their own frozen monsters, but again, it’s hardly as problem, as it’s doubtful they’ll leave it as a problem. Again, before, you could not freeze/stun certain monsters and bosses, now you can, so now you -can- get the 20% damage buff from storm magic. That’s -awesome-.

          How is Chain Lightning + Glacier chain a combo? They don’t compliment each other or make each other more powerful, you just use glacier chain when it’s not on cooldown for a bit more damage.
          You may as well say that Chain Lightning + Frozen Orb is a combo now, it’s the same thing.
          If you haven’t seen Frozen Orb in the RED i/L archmage videos on youtube, it seems to do quite a few number of hits and freezes as well, it looks to be on par with the old glacier chain.

          It looks like the game play has improved to me.

      It’s sort of meh actually, I really like the ideas behind it but Arrow Platter/Uncountable Arrow are both ugly, and Platter is terrible because it roots you and it doesn’t activate FA! I hope they move Hurricane back to 4th and delete Arrow Platter or something…

      Also change all the skill effects to red/orange/yellow!!

And what’s up with that stupid OP Flame Haze while our counterpart Freezing Breath literally does ZERO damage (apparently) whilst making us stand there doing nothing for 25s. At least give it damage around that of Flame Haze… What are we now? A support class?

      I/L are ridiculously strong, and got even stronger with this. Freezing Breath isn’t your only attacking move, you’ve still got thunder storm and elquines going while freezing breath is on, and you don’t -have- to use it, our damage is great even without something like flame haze.
      Hey, guess what, it’s not a f-ing race for DPM dumbass, it’s an MMO. You’re meant to play with OTHERS. F/P have more damage, we still have great damage, but more party-oriented stuff, with the frozen aura and the defense reductions from frozen breath.
      While frozen breath is on cooldown, use infinity for massive damage. while infinity is on cooldown, use frozen breath.
      Don’t be a dumbass and ignore the buffs they get either. Chain Lightning does damage on par with Paralyze.

      So what if we’re a little behind another class, the goal isn’t to make every class as powerful as each other, it’s to make every class powerful and -useful-. That’s what’s happening.

        To the one who just replied above, cool it. he was just voicing his opinions which is the same frustrations as most I/L around the world currently face.
        The sentance [I/L are ridiculously strong] can easily be laughed at.
        also, nobody even mentioned DPM. you brought it up yourself.
        Evans are way more powerful and I/L was on the verge of extinction after F/P. All we wanted was a slight change that place us near evan if not. on par or above. We all know F/P is naturally and will remain Stronger than I/L but if they want to buff F/P that much, they should at least buff I/L equally so we dont fall too far behind them.

        We are not talking about YOU and YOUR character and dont put yourself as “our damage”, we are talking about the class itself. So no matter how strong you are, it doesnt do nuts for other people does it?.

        To the point on Thunderstorm & Elquines, really? its better to let them damage for you instead of actually damaging yourself?
        Tell me, what summon is soo powerful that its attack is better than the caster itself? 25secs just standing there is no joke. it really is long and even a slight atk for the skill would be welcomed rather than just standing there.

          Yes, I brought up DPM, because people obsess over damage too much. Woop-de-doo?
          It looks like they got a lot stronger here, got some fun new skills?

          Alright, so it doesn’t matter how strong my completely unfunded I/L archmage is, though I never even brought them up, so why are you making a point about my character when I never even brought them up?

          It’s not meant to be a skill for the caster alone to stand there for 25 seconds doing nothing. It’s obviously meant to be used either to guard against attacks, or used in a party, but that doesn’t stop thunderstorm and elquines dealing damage, as little as it may be.
          Some damage dealt by this skill would be welcomed, I won’t deny that, but still, it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t.

          It’s just ridiculous how people are getting upset over nothing, and saying that the class is dead, that it’s a support only class, and acting like Nexon just gave ’em the middle finger.
          They just got a lot of buffs, people should be HAPPY and looking forward to things, or at least thoughtfully discussing them and what hopefully will be improved instead of screaming and whining and freaking out.

          Heck, I’m upset too that they still haven’t changed that ridiculous passive on storm magic yet.

            Before this new revamp it was proven that we were nerfed. I don’t know about now, but we still lost Glacier Chain – our current major damage dealing skill. People are acting like we got the middle finger because we kinda did. F/P Mages got buffed loads more than we did and they were already stronger than us. It doesn’t matter if we’re getting buffed (which we don’t even know by how much at this point, and videos aren’t really accurate because criticals are glitched in KMST) if we’re still lackluster compared to a class in our own branch.

            And why are you even complaining about people getting mad about the revamp? You think they scrapped the original BaM changes and buffed CL back up because people sat back quietly? It really looks like you’re just trying to force your own opinion on other people. We don’t have to be happy just because you are. And we don’t need to stop talking about how awful we think the changes are just because you think they’re good.

            Don’t like people freaking out? Ignore them. It’s fine to have your own opinion and all, but you’re not being very constructive here either. We don’t know if we got “a lot” of buffs, because we just got buffed from being previously nerfed. And as I said before, we don’t have to be happy and positive about this just because you are.

            I have a feeling they won’t be scouring other nation’s blogs for responses though, so we are pretty much just sitting here.

            I don’t really understand, for one thing, why people are so unhappy with i/l. I suppose I shouldn’t be so rude, and I apologize to all those I insulted, but… that’s all I ever see, in game things look fine, but when people comment, isn’t it weird to see people going “Well, I/L are dead now.” and spitting out a sarcastic “great job, Nexon.”?
            I can only speak from my own experience, true… but it really feels like people are just waiting to scream and get pissed off at everything.

            Personally, I thought chain lightning was I/L’s main attack skill… when you’re using it 95% of the time, isn’t it your main attack? It was only fairly recently that hyper skills were added that gave it the cooldown reduction that allowed it to be considered our major damage dealing skill…
            Now, Chain Lightning looks to be similar to the CDR-less glacier chain in damage % alone, save for the defense ignore…

            Again, I’m sorry. I overreacted and simply assumed that people were scrreaming and blowing their heads up because they weren’t thinking, and wanted some sort of extreme super-crazy buff that makes I/L better than everyone else. I suppose I don’t hold many maplers in high esteem because I’ve got it in my head that most of them don’t think, and that’s my fault alone.

            I’ll try not to shove my opinion on others…
            but it’s still difficult, I seriously see a lot of positive things here, and it feels so drastic when people are, well, freaking out about things that I see as really good buffs?

            Honestly, I’m not entirely happy with -all- the I/L changes myself, not yet, as It would be nice if they made some things… well, better, but the biggest thing I want to see is a redone passive for “Storm Magic”, the current one that results in a chance for an instant kill just… doesn’t really work, while F/P get a buff to -every- DoT they cast. That’s certainly not fair, no.

        To the person replaying above, there is no need to insult him so coo it. He was just voicing his opinions and his frustration is faced by many I/Ls across the globe.
        F/P are naturally stronger than I/L and this may remain the same. but all most of us want is equal buffs of all classes. They buffed F/P alot but I/L wasnt given equal treatment. Evans which outclass Arch mages continuously get buffed and arch mages are left to rot..thats was the reason for the decline of arch mages.. so its normal for us to ask for equal buffs.

        Nobody stated DPM, you brought that up yourself so theres no reason for insulting. The term “our damage” doesnt help anyone cause the damage YOU do is only for YOURSELF. Its doesnt help other I/Ls does it?

        CL and GC were initially nerfed (GC still nerfed) but due to voiced out opinions, they revert the changes made to CL and made it stronger.
        You call this a revamp? its just putting back what we had and slightly improving it.

        To the point about thunderstorm and elquines attacking while casting freezing breath, Since when is a summon attacking better than the user attacking? 25secs of standing there is no joke. its long. and we are suppose to waste time and let weak summons dmg for us? Also summons may invoke unessesary action from the boss *e.g seduce from horntail, refect and seduce from pink bean statues*. Freezing breath should at least damage a few times in its 25secs duration even if its only 1 hit or DoT.

          if you compare to the other paralisyng bosses skills, this is the best, you can do this while in damage reflection, you can freeze every enemy that come, and normaly you won’t fail to paralyse the mobs/bosses, the other skills paralyse and it’s done, also it have 25 sec duration the others have 20 only, this one can be bad for you but for party is really good, problably they want you to go more in party.

            not sure what the fuss about between the 3 people above but well… it sure stinks I/L didnt get a good a treatment as F/P and Bishops did. Overall Bishops got the most buffed since they became stronger and more useful…F/P got buff only damage wise and has zero support capability.
            I/L over 10 years has been in between the other two classes in the magican class tree thus making them balanced with attacking slight support class and this is what Nexon is still trying to do.
            -Chain Lightning, an excellent bossing and mobbing skill, is indeed powerful but i think the support skill to balance it is rather lousy.
            Freezing breath, sure the def and magic def reduction is good and all but to be frank, since the mind of the community has become a “who can solo a boss fastest” and since the game itself leads in that direction, this “support” skill doesnt fit well with the class. 25secs off freezing is too long for a person to just press a button and do nothing, even with elquines and thunderstorm (which hits like insanely fast now) damaging, it is indeed not as good as using chain lightning. A good idea like mentioned above by others would be to give the skill some sort of damage. Since its a 25 duration skill, why not give it a skill thats at least 1 hit per 5 secs that would at least be damage and calm some of the angry I/L.

            In my opinion, i would like them to change Frozen Orb.
            You see, F/P uses parayze & mist eruption [Extremely Deadly due to Dmg increased with DoT stacked]
            Bishops use Angel Ray & Big Bang [Big bang ignores % def stacks 4 times and is full charged per hit under Genesis CD]

            I/L uses Chain Lightning & frozen orb. [CL is strong itself but frozen orb doesnt compliment CL as well as GC did previously]
            Frozen orb though fast damage, requires constant casting as it doesnt last for very long & the damage is similar to a summon – LOW

            Well i guess the 2nd attack skill for the magician class has to have a catch to it.. since Mist Eruption requires poison mist to be casted and DoT stacked to get full dmg, Big Bang only good when genesis is under CD thus making bsps having to juggle using diff skills while still supporting…but when conditions are met they are strong unline the frozen orb.. hope they at least buff the damage of the skill.

            The other changes for I/L seem good. element adapting after the change is good, we get pdr skills..still mixed feeling about getting % crit like the one mention above, % crit dmg would be better but is it just me or am i just getting paranoid, but was ice strike attack range reduced horizontally and increased vertically? that seems wierd…
            Let me know yea 🙂 lets not forget it is still a game 😛

            Personally, I think that I/L revamp was quite bad. 0 damage on freezing breath for 25s. That is crap. I know it’s a straight-out support skill, but at least give it damage like maybe 1 or 2 hits per 5s, as mentioned above.
            Frozen Orb is rubbish as well. Personally, I think it’d be better if it were not a summon but an actual AoE cast skill with better damage. This would allow it to better complement chainlightning and dissuade I/Ls from spamming chainlightning all the time. Before this revamp, we used chainlightning in combination with glacierchain but now we can’t do that since glacierchain’s damage and pdr was severely nerfed. So, it would be great if Frozen Orb had damage on par with that Flame Haze or whatever skill F/Ps have. Oh wait. Even half that damage for 5 hits would be welcome.
            The extra critrate sucks too. Most people even without DSE already have like 85-100% crit with chainlightning so what’s the point of giving us extra? I think it’d be better if they’d given us crit dmg% or even total dmg% instead.
            The 5% pdr is ridiculous. 5% is barely even noticeable. The least they could’ve done would have been to at least give 10%. Other classes all have like 20-30% on their skills, and the pdr that glacierchain had pre-RED is now kind of gone, so I’d expect some form of compensation, personally.
            Finally, Elquines is just pure ugly. I WANT THE OLD ELQUINES BACK. Blue flames on an ice summon is ridiculous.
            Just my opinion.

            What if the I/Ls don’t want to go in party? Party play sucks. I absolutely detest having to kill bosses and whatnots in a party. It doesn’t allow me to test myself and my damage and worst of all, it lags my stupid computer.

      I think it’s because BMs now focus on quick repositioning while using their rapid fire attacks. Basically we’re closer ranged-ish than Marksman so I guess they thought we didn’t need it?

        With that said why did they give us a “Bossing skill” that forces us to stay in one spot and only lasts 15seconds. I mean I get that we should just rely on one attack but at least let the bossing one be as quick or faster than the mobing skill right? Plus that skill is bulky and ugly imo. However i do like the new mobing skill i was quite impressed with that. The notching sound it makes is however not attractive. Also whats your opinion on the changes? How will it affect you and your bossing/ mobing style? or will it at all? And do what do u think of the new animations?

        The sad reality is that my Mercedes has always been by far the weakest out of all my characters. After the nerfs though, angelic buster, demon slayer, and xenon are right there at the bottom too. Nexon’s severe nerfs are way to harsh. <

          Actually Demon slayer is still above average dpm, and GMS AB is still in the top 10. Mercedes, however, got punched hard a while after the initial round of nerfs, and has been below the median for a while.

      If you have normal arrows in your inventory they won’t be used up but attack arrows will be (so basically normal arrows are literally useless forever)

      I like the concepts behind it but the execution is terrible. Uncountable Arrow/Arrow Platter are both ugly and Arrow Platter sucks in comparison to Hurricane in every way, I hope they give us back Hurri in 4th 😦

    Get that crap out of here! The last 2 or 3 archer revamps have catered to Bowmasters. It’s not our fault Marksman put more funding into their characters than Bowmasters. The only thing Marksman got out of this update is piercing arrow. That’s a big deal for us. Other than that they pretty much took away all of our attacks. Our class was stripped clean. Puppet was changed and nerfed and left with Marksman while the awesome drain arrow for Bowmasters which gives you HP was made even more over-powered to match your over-powered Advanced Final Attack and damage over-time. And everything else Bowmasters have that Marksman don’t. Psuedo-bosses won’t even be able to get pushed either so Dragon Pulse is pointless as well.

      The puppet skill is actually a little better than the old one. It actually pulls the bosses towards it which is pretty cool. If you want to check about the puppet there is a video on youtube somewhere.

    If Bowmasters like their update let them have it. Personally, as a Marksman I would like to take the new Double Jump, Piercing Arrow, and Additional Bolt hyper-skill and call it a day. They can keep the rest of their crap and leave all of my other skills alone. What’s with the warrior rants on our Bowmen update anyway?

    With all due respect, he was right in saying you guys did complain about your DPM. Comparing your damage to other classes just means you feel obsolete because another class out damages you. You can’t tell him that’s not DPM related. That’s clearly related to DPM. You guys want equal buffs? It’s either reduce F/P’s damage, or buff I/L’s to achieve equal buffs which essentially is DPM.

    Also in the case of I/L’s, they’re ENCOURAGING party play at bosses. There’s no denying why they added freezing breath for a reason. Everyone contributes to taking down more harder bosses. Just look at Bowmasters and their Wounds Shot. Look at the Bishop buffs for Dispel (Zombify and Seduce? do want) and Advanced Blessing (more boss damage). Those who are bias towards soloing bosses…well…sorry to say. It looks like it’s going back to old ways.

      Killing bosses in a party reduces the amount of loot that the I/L gets, thus decreasing the amount of money he can make from the run. While other classes can easily solo the said boss, what’s an I/L gonna do to make money now?

    Bucklerman? A guy selling “general Mastery Books”? Heavens, I hope MW is included because getting MW has been retarded hard, nigh impossible, to get ever since we got that MMB nonsense. At least they gave us some alternative to buying overpriced books from scamming goons in the FM. A little overdue, perhaps, but I’ll take it without complaint.

    Battle Mage’s updates left me scratching my head. “Art of Staff” giving speed boost is redundant with Yellow Aura, so….what? And what’s with the speed reduction on Booster? We kinda need that speed. Then the increase in the Blows’ damage is cool and definitely needed, thumbs up there. Super Body’s duration increase is a little silly. The CD being equal with the duration was good enough. The CD removal/reduction on the 4th job skills was a very nice touch. But the main thing that left me scratching my head was the Hyper Skill. The increase in Stance effect is nearly useless, max crit damage is out of place, and the obligatory cap increase is the cherry on top of this sub-par Hyper Skill. I am definitely forecasting a massive change in that Hyper Skill since it easily pales in comparison to pretty much every other one. Besides, Union Aura, albeit slightly out of flavour, was leagues better and made me very happy.

    FINALLY! They make Iron Body less worthless! 10% DR is exactly on level with what it should be, although my bone to pick is that the range limit is an unprovoked slap in the face; why add that? Out of flavour and the logic eludes me; side note on DR: they better be bringing Rage’s DR up to 30%, it’s 30 pre-revamp and it’s not smart to take DR away from a class that already lacks it. The Raging Blow tweaks are cool, but I’d stop trying to make it incredibly badass when we have a 5th Job Advancement to work out because they’re probably going to have to try to top it (random opinion insertion: Brandish remains the best looking attack skill; I mean, cool effects AND you actually watch your own sword and not this generic Sephiroth-wannabe-animation).

    Pallies got their Shield Mastery back at beyond power, so yay for them! My only thing to pick about that is that they let it apply to people using Rosarios. Come on, that makes absolutely no sense. Yes, I block your Earth Breaker with an un-magical cross necklace…yep seems legit. But seriously, Paladins get the option between offense and defense, so why not Heroes? We CAN use Shields like how Paladins CAN use two-handed weapons, so what’s up with that? *insert rant about loss of Mastery and Blocking here*

    Dark Knight changes are fairly subtle…nothing worth commenting on, though. Mostly stuff that makes me happy.

    Idea for a revamped mortal blow for marksman: when the boss/monster reach x% of his hp you get y%bonus damage, and when it’s killed you have z% chance to recovery w%hp and mp or just hp 😀

    i fell in love with mercedes the moment it was released. i still remember all those haters that complained about mercedes ksing everyone. Their grace, mobility, the way they fly around everywhere using intricately linked combos is so nice!

    until the point where they got nerfed and new classes started being introduced, i started feeling sorry for my merc. ishtars feel like nothing compared to trinity soul seeker, gigaslash and the rest 😦

    Maybe Nexon thinks mercedes are balanced, and thats why they have received almost nothing in terms of revamp besides % changes and a few tweaks here and there.. But mercedes is really bottom at the pecking order now. They cant even compare in terms of dps and their survivability is just HAHAHAHAHA

    I hope they actually do Mercedes justice as a Queen (of Elves) when 5th job is released.. Mercedes will forever remain in a special place in my heart. But until then, OCTOPUNCH MOTHERFUCKAS

    Yo nexon, what’s up with the Frozen Breath skill and the lack of mobility of Thunderstorm? It’s ridiculous! *points to the Flame Haze skill that F/Ps have*
    I mean like it’s pretty stupid for I/Ls to do 0% x 0 while F/Ps do 520% x 5…
    And please, please make Glacier Chain somewhere near what it was last time… Now all we can do is spam Chain Lightning…

    If nexon wants to buff F/Ps, the least it could do would be to give I/Ls an equal buff. I/Ls are already way below F/Ps in the DPS chart.

    What has happened here is that nexon has turned I/Ls from an attack class to a support class with the introduction of Frozen Breath. I think that this is not fair to the players who chose and funded this class because of the fact that it is a unique attack class, who now have to deal with the fact that they have basically become support for others. What are antisocial solo players like me supposed to do with that useless skill? And people like me can’t exactly just quit their lv200 I/Ls after pouring basically all their resources into funding it.

    Utterly ridiculous.

      Do you remember seal, slow, big bang? skills that don’t really get used?
      If Frozen Breath stays the same, no damage, consider it like that.
      Then nothing will have changed and you’ll have gotten your +600% damage buff to chain lightning. Consider using the new Frozen Orb instead of the old Glacier Chain.
      Mobility of Thunderstorm should be improved for such a mobile mage class.

      One skill does not a support class make. They were not a support class while having Seal and Slow, two skills that deal no damage, they aren’t a support class with one skill that deals no damage.

      Also, still, 5th job coming, look forward to that.

      You clearly overlooked that genesis hits 4 times now, not 1, so it ends up being 2440%
      AR was nerfed/made into a support skill but with blessings ensemble the bishops base damage should have a significant jump so the dps will most likely be higher noticably higher then it used to be. dispel is amazing now, the new big bang is fairly strong especially in a group and provides the bishop with a omni-directional attack in 4th job thats viable unlike old BB.

    and also for those who think the archer still sucks… just remember arrow cartridge and advanced quiver. this means we are much more versatile than before. low on HP and no pots? drain will help you out. strong boss ahead of you? magic arrows are the way to go. boss with a lot of HP and strong attacks? poison arrow will help out. also just think of the possibilities. drain arrow with advanced quiver paired with hurricane would be a constant hp generator. hurricane withe magic arrows would make dish out large amounts of dmg quickly and poison arrows will do DOT for a long time. and this is only with hurricane. so we bowmasters will be a lot more versatile and we would probably be really good soloers..

    My proposition regarding hyper skills:

    Move their level requirements down. This is because hypers enhance existing 3rd and 4th job skills. If this is so, with 5th job just around the corner, wouldn’t it make sense to move it down? The way I see it, those hyper skills are meant for 4th and 3rd job skills, thus it would not make sense for them to have such a high level requirement. However, it also depends on what level 5th job will be available in.

    OT:

    Regarding the “general mastery books”… Will they work on 5th job skills? I’m assuming that they’ll require mastery books as well.

    Fairy academy is lvl 30, right? If that’s so, where does that leave mushroom kingdom?
    For that matter, where does that leave Chryse (a lvl 50 dungeon) when Reina strait is implemented?

    Shouldn’t they adjust their levels to cover the gaps in levels with the theme dungeons?

      I personally think it gives more variety and choice in what theme dungeons you want to do. Personally, I dislike doing Chryse because of its tedious collecting of items. It’s almost not worth it unless you want those glasses from Xeres.

    Why get rid of hurricane as a 4th job skill if you’re not going to give another hurricane like skill in return…. WITHOUT a CD i might add.
    And that Uncountable Arrow crap looks so retarded and the sound of it is annoying as hell.

    That’s something you have to deal with when you’re playing a multiplayer game.

    It seems as though there’s one thing that people are forgetting.

    5th job has been confirmed.

    Consider it a shadow looming over these changes.
    Everybody is used to 4th job skills being end-game content, and that was important, because it defined the “end” of your characters.
    This is different now. 4th job is no longer the end-all.
    3rd and 4th jobs will become more situational than ever before, they’re meant to get you past 4th job and get to 5th.
    The revamps so far are -nice-, not exceptional, but -nice-, because you’re always going to feel like -something- is missing…
    Unfortunately, that feeling isn’t going to go away. They’re not going to be revamping 1st through 4th, just so they have to revamp it again once 5th comes out.
    They have 5th in mind with these changes.

    Of course, there’s still a lot of testing the waters, a lot of trying to find a new proper “feeling” for each class, but consider, what grand plans may they have to build on each class’s current set?
    4th job will be more like 3rd job now. There will be something more.
    Of course, this is not to say “Forgive everything they do because 5th will fix it”, no.
    Just… there’s a point where you should be aware, in the gap where “There is no attack that feels right end-game”, something may fill that gap.

    I think things like flaws and changes are great to consider, like the change from paladin’s supportive charges to active attacks, or the feeling from the updated attacks not being quite right, like with the slowed down chain lightning from the last patch…

    but before you start talking about deleting your characters, wait until the -full- details for your classes are revealed.

    the comments I read about dark knight changes, made by dark knights, make me laugh. Everything we had chopped off was added back somewhere else with further bonuses but so many people are too much focused on whining about how heroes have higher damage, like it was relevant. Then heroes should be complaining about how they have crap hp recovery skills and they lack a free, albeit cooldowned, wheel that also grants invincibility. We now even have an amazing 1v1 skill (gungnir can be spammed for 2/3rds of the time now without any buff increasing addition such as mechanic card or inner ability) and impale lost a damage % so low compared to the improvements (40% pdr deleted from it but 30% added as a passive, read it, passive, effect of sacrifice along with 10% boss damage and the missing 10% pdr with sacrifice on). I’m a dark knight and I for one am content with all this. We even have 165% min critical damage which makes us benefit from (decent) SE’s X% max critical damage increase as a pure X% damage increase, also due to how easily we reach 100% critical rate. Have the decency to wait for 5th job to bitch around, because as of now there’s really nothing wrong in what they’re doing to us.

      you may lose in the bonus 20%dmg in ur rang, but the %damage in the skill may be better, you had 200%dmg x5 so 1000%, and 1200%with hyper now it’s 1345% so it’s better right?that i know you had 20%pdr from impale and now 30% for all skills

        for the sake of precision, before this update, impale was hitting 6 times with hypers so that would be 1440% damage compared to 1345% now. It would be 1692% if you look back at v.478 which anyway was some sort of beta. But really, losing 95 on a total of 1440 is actually a mere 6,6% final damage decrease relatively to what it was before the update. 6,6% damage which you can pour from basically any other skill that was perfectioned in the process. Crossover chain for one. The pdr changes are pretty irrelevant – due to it being multiplicatively stackable, 20%+20% from pre-red was actually 36% alone, while now impale goes on 30% passively and on 37% with sacrifice on. It hitting 8 mobs instead of 6 is just a plus that is not to be despised.

    Nexon just bloody nerf DrK’DI,why remove Dark Impale – Reinforce/Ignore Guard/Bonus Attack.This seem like a huge disadvantage to DrK as 1line and 20%damage is remove,for Gungnir i find it unless b/c u cannot spam like DI and it hit only 1 mob.And they expect me to change to spamming gungnir while i cannot even spam it or maybe spamming it on a short while but still since jump patch i have been spamming DI for the last bloody 3year and now they expect me to change to a new skill.If they could jus remove Gungnir and add the effect of it to DI and change the Gungnir hyper skill bck to DI,DrK will be better off like tat.

    Arrow Platter is literally the arrow version of Spectral Light (Luminous) ROFL … and seriously, they need to give Final Blow for BaMs a wider skill image to match the skill distance. When I carry a freakin’ Mana Crown and running around whacking things, i feel awkward having my staff wayyyy to infront of my skill. It’s like an archer shooting, and arrows coming from behind… lol. and they should give BaMs a flash jump instead of teleport. Like screw the fact that theyre mages… since theyre melee, give them flash jump or a godly lumi-tele.

    Man, I love the new animations done to the Battle Mage but since the revamp in KMS was so bad, it had to be cancelled. Personally, I’d love to see new animations done to the Battle Mage and not just his bland 6 hit blows.

    Sacrifice: defense ignore boost has been decreased from 30% to 10%, new effect of 10% boss damage has been added, duration has been increased from 30 seconds to 40 seconds, >>>passive effect of 30% defense ignore has been added<<<

    they can change the PDR skill to 5% PDR for each counter(max 5=25%) and the skill that make more %abnormal statos to 180 sec for all 3 explorers mages+the i/L have 60 sec duration

    For marksman, we can have our new ”puppet” with 60 sec duration and 30 cool down, it would be cool because puppet don’t last much with 60, so 20 realyl sucks, and maybe put it like a buff to we know it duration.
