Another Tespia patch has been released, this time with Boss Arena (finally!) and some small changes to Dual Blade/Cannon Shooter. And there’s a Hot Time for the real server so I’ll talk about that too.

Note: I haven’t found any pictures from my usual sources so the ones I’ll be using in my post are ones I’ve put together using in-game data.

Boss Arena is open to all users level 60 or over. It is also a combined world content, meaning you can enjoy it with users from different worlds! There are two rounds, one where you will fight against another player’s boss and another where you will be the one controlling the boss.

To join, click the Boss Arena icon on the left side of your screen and matchmaking will find another player with a similar level and score as you. You will then be taken to a map where you can choose one of 6 bosses (the UI is like one of those arcade fighting games haha) and your handicap (a higher one will make your boss’ defense lower but will give you better rewards), after which the fight will begin!

The player controlling the boss will have to exhaust all of the other player’s Death Count, while the regular player will have to defeat the boss by lowering his HP to 0. Whoever completes their goal first (within 5 minutes) will win the round. If there is no winner by that time, one will be chosen based on the boss’ remaining HP and the player’s remaining Death Count.

Each of the 6 bosses has 3 attacks and 5 skills. They all have cooldowns so you’ll have to use them strategically. For players, all movement skills will be disabled but you will be given a Flash Jump skill.

After the 2 rounds are over, an information window will appear. You will be given experience based on your performance.

In this patch, a new item called the Boss Arena Emblem was added! I don’t know how to get it exactly but it gives 15 all stats and 3 attack and magic attack. It is level 60 and untradeable.

The weird thing is, all the classes that have Emblems at the moment already receive them for free with basically comparable stats… does this mean that all classes will be able to use this Emblem?

Skill Changes

Dual Blade

•  Phantom Blow: range has been decreased, effect has been renewed (just to make it shorter to match the range)

•  Hero’s Will: effect has been renewed

Cannon Shooter

•  Cannon Jump: distance moved has been returned to normal
•  Cannon Buster: attack speed has been returned to normal

•  Hero’s Will: effect has been renewed
•  Rolling Cannon Rainbow: this skill now ignores Damage Reflect

In the Cash Shop, a new Maple Royal Style Coupon has been released. If you’re not familiar with it, buying one will give you a random Cash Shop equipment that is in the list at that moment.

Right now, you can get one of the above: a hat, one of two capes, or one of two weapons.

You can also get one of the Ice Summer set equips. These are special because if you collect all 5, you’ll receive 5 all stats and 3 attack and magic attack.
