kMS ver. 1.2.201 – MapleStory FLY: Festival in MAPLE!
The first patch of the FLY update has been released, Festival in Maple! In this patch, Heroes and Resistance were reorganized, a new type of party play has been added, and Chuseok (Harvest Festival) events have been added.
I know this post is really late but again, I’m actually so busy haha. If you guys don’t mind, I can continue writing these posts (albeit they won’t come out the day of the patches like they used to). Also I will be adding events later~
Evan
- Dragon Thrust: damage has been increased from 200% to 235%
- Breath: number of hits has been increased from 1 to 2, damage has been decreased from 800% to 480%
- Earthquake: number of hits has been increased from 1 to 4, damage has been decreased from 860% to 325%
- Flame Wheel: damage has been increased from 420% to 485%
- Blaze: number of hits has been increased from 3 to 5, damage has been idecreased from 450% to 305%
Mercedes
- Speed Dualshot: number of hits has been increased to 3, damage has been increased from 115% to 125%
- Charge Drive: damage has been increased from 130% to 210%
- Final Shot: damage has been increased from 70% to 85%
- Strike Dualshot: damage has been increased from 120% to 200%
- Leap Tornado: damage has been increased from 135% to 195%
- Unicorn Spike: damage has been increased from 140% to 195%
- Ishtar’s Ring: damage has been increased from 150% to 155%
- Legendary Spear: damage has been increased from 540% to 580%
- Advanced Strike Dualshot: damage has been increased from 150% to 240%

- Teleport: vertical distance has been increased
- Triple Blow: damage has been increased from 150% to 155%
- Hyper Dark Chain: max level has been decreased from 20 to 10
NEW! Ordinary Conversion (2nd): Permanently increase your HP by 100%. (max level: 10)
NEW! Battle Spurt (3rd): Rush forward, pushing up to 8 enemies while dealing 565% damage. This skill can be linked after using Hyper Dark Chain and Finish Blow can be linked after using this skill. Passive effect: increase Hyper Dark Chain’s damage by 30%. (max level: 10)- Revive: has been changed into an on/off skill
- REMOVED! Conversion: changed to a passive in second job
- Shelter: in addition to existing effects, Shelter now decreases damage taken from % HP attacks by 10%
NEW! Big Crunch Aura (4th): Maximize the effects of all your current Auras for 150 seconds, increasing their boosts by 3x. This skill cannot be used if Super Body is active. There is a cooldown of 90 seconds. (required skill: level 20 Superbody) (max level: 10)- Dark Genesis: in addition to existing effects, while Dark Genesis is on cooldown your attacks will have a 60% chance to deal an extra hit of 220% damage, cooldown has been changed to 30 seconds at all levels
Wild Hunter
- Triple Shot: damage has been increased from 130% to 150%
- Double Jump: has been changed into Triple Jump, allowing you to jump up to 2 times while in the air
- Bomb Shot: effect has been changed to create a shockwave, allowing you to hit monsters that are too short to be hit by the arrow
- Jaguar Roar: max level has been decreased from 15 to 10, damage has been increased from 325% to 330%
- Soul Arrow: max level has been increased from 5 to 10, in addition to existing effects Soul Arrow now gives 30 attack
- Howling: an effect has been added for when the buff’s avoid takes place
- Wild Shot: damage has been increased from 184% to 310%
- Claw Cut: damage has been increased from 200% to 215%, in addition to existing effects Claw Cut now knockbacks monsters
- Crossroad: you will now move forwards even if there are no monsters in front of you
NEW! Draw Back (3rd): When activated, your Jaguar will begin to move backwards while you continue to shoot forwards. However, if you use White Heat Rush or Triple Jump, you will move forwards. On/off skill. Passive effect: permanently reduce damage taken by 10%. (max level: 10)
NEW! White Heat Rush: Your Jaguar heats up and rushes upwards, pushing up to 8 enemies for 233% damage. (max level: 10)- REMOVED! Concentrate: moved to Soul Arrow
- Wild Vulcan: damage has been increased from 270% to 285%, you can now jump down while using this skill
A new Jaguar called Armored Crimson has been added, which gives extra resistance to statuses and damage reduction. It can be found by going to the hidden Jaguar grounds and catching it.
You can now talk to Belle, at the Resistance HQ to switch between any of your captured Jaguars!
Mechanic
- Mechanic Dash: can now be used in the air
- Flame Launcher: damage has been increased from 80% to 166%
- Drill Rush: damage has been increased from 200% to 260%, can now move forward even without monsters in front of you
- Atomic Hammer: number of hits has been increased to 2, damage has been decreased from 460% to 395%
- Open Gate: GX-9: max level has been decreased from 10 to 5
- Rocket Punch: damage has been increased from 180% to 350%, delay has been decreased
- Healing Robot: H-LX: in addition to existing effects, Healing Robot now passively gives 30% resistance to statuses and elements
- Laser Blast: damage has been increased from 500% to 505%, attack speed has been increased
- War Machine: Titan: in addition to existing effects, War Machine now passively gives 30% reduced damage from monsters
- Metal Armor Extreme: in addition to existing effects, Metal Armor Extreme now increases your HP by both the flat amount + 30% of your HP
- NEW! Metal Armor: Hovering (Hyper): Change your Missile Tank into a hovering craft, allowing you to move while using Heavy Machine Gun.
- REMOVED! Reactive Metal Armor: effects have been moved to War Machine: TItan, Metal Armor Extreme, and Healing Robot: H-LX

The newly opened world merged Party Quests are now available to join! Anyone level 50 or over can move to a map to join players from every world~ You can participate up to 5 times per day in a party of 4, but you cannot have a a difference in levels of greater than 20.
An outside map will allow you to participate in regular party quests (updated visuals from Spiegelmann’s Guest House) while the inner maps are world merged.
Inside the world merged party quests, you cannot use any Use or Etc items. Spiegella will provide everyone with potions and job-specific items to participate.
You also cannot trade/change/drop any equipment, Cash, or setup items.
Meanwhile, you will see your inventory as empty, but don’t worry! As soon as you leave the world merged maps, your items will be returned.
The newly revamped party quests give both experience and Party Points upon completion. These points can be used to revive yourself while inside a party quest as well as for being traded in to Pub, for items.

The Soul Weapon system has been updated! First of all, you can now minimize the huge UI into a more compacted version~
Also, the effect above your head will now be different if your Soul Skill is still on cooldown.
After using a Soul Skill, instead of depleting your entire Soul Gauge, you will now be left with a certain amount.
The stat boosts from Soul Weapons have also been increased, if you charge your Soul Gauge past 501.
A new book called Murmur’s Soul Collecter has been added! It can be opened by pressing the Soul Collecter button on the Soul Gauge.
This book will document all the Boss Souls you have collected, and if you have collected all 9 types of them as well.
If you do manage to find all 9, your Soul Skill will be powered up and you’ll reveal a hidden image of the boss!
And finally, the storage UI has been updated to make it more convenient to use! There’s even an ‘item find’ button if you have expanded your storage slots enough to require that haha.

Those bonuses for finishing a set of souls, and only needing 250 of your 1000 souls for soul skills, and having a bonus stat boost for having your soul gauge at least half full, on TOP of the one you get for a full soul gauge, all sound awesome. A find button that worked for all inventories for your entire account would make sense.. but storage? Come on Nexon, get real.
Maybe you can use it to search for items in the character inventory via storage npcs, so that it’s easier to find things to store, as well making as things you want to take out? ofc, you’d have to actually GO to the storage npc to search your inventory, but it could still potentially be faster than sifting through your inv, especially if your inventory’s cluttered and the way the game sorts your items is so different from the way that YOU’D want it organized, that it would be a hassle to move around some of the items AFTER sorting it. Seriously though, you DO know that there is an item sort feature to the inventory, right? First, press the slot merger button, you’ll notice the symbol will change from an arrow to three lines or something, now instead of the button merging slots of the same item, it will sort your items. Sure, certain non-KMS items like HP/MP potions will be listed AFTER the buffing potions, but hey, at least it’s still neatly organized between potions IN GENERAL, and projectiles, capture items.
Is there a way to post skill effects for mechs hover skill? Thanks for finding time to post this Max!

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
You DO realize that the RED revamps put Phantom HIGHER on the 1v1 % dps charts than EVAN right? He’s officially the STRONGEST hero. Seriously dude, SCREW stealing Gungnir Descent, steal Arrow Platter instead. Its a keydown skill that won’t let you move, but aim instead, like Sentient Arrow or Spectral Light, however, its TRUE benefit for phantom is that you can press spacebar while using it to transform it from a keydown to an installation that lasts for 30 seconds, allowing you use ALL your Phantom’s OTHER skills while it keeps firing, including Mille Aguilles, Tempest, Final Judgement, and Rose Carte Finale. You can even use stolen skills like Hyper Body, Power Guard, and Haste, though, it’s a fourth job skill, and I’m not sure if it’d stay installed if you switch, so you won’t be able to use your stolen Ressurect/Gungnir/Sharp Eyes without seriously lowering your dps, but hey, 1. you can have a Bowmaster, Wind Archer, Marksman, or Wild Hunter in your party, or get Decent Sharp Eyes, if you want sharp eyes, and if you just REALLY want gungnir cause its awesome, then your doing a lame job of playing the role of Phantom This IS a ROLE PLAYING GAME AFTER ALL. You, Phantom, who were THERE when the heroes fought the Black Mage, so you should realize just how terrifying his power truly was, and you should NOT be willing to restrict your own power and be less prepared for his arrival, all for something as pointless and superficial as using a worse skill “because it looks cooler than arrow platter OR any of my OWN skills, despite the fact that it WILL cut my dps by about 1/3”
The Fact that phantom go from the 25% damage bonus from combo to the, if played right, 75-100% damage bonus from Cross Over Chain is a pretty good buff. Also revamped to no more damage/time reduction when using stolen skills adds up quick. Sooo if you want to do damage % here is a rough one for you. 8.33 hits a seconds @ 153% with the installed arrow platter which doesn’t activate carte as well as 8.33 hits a second @ 220% for your active arrow platter activating carte with all the crit to go along since 100% crit isn’t hard to come up with now. So your “low” % is:
8.33*1.4*1.7(153%+220%+220%)=11756% dps
and thats is with a low 140% damage from crit and at 70% hp. and if you want to complain that’s half of a Kiaser dps lets not forget %att skills are thrown as % damage in most dps charts and they are ran at max %s sooo lets see.
(8.33 att/second)*(1.5 crit)*(2 COC)*(1.3 priere)(153%+220%+220%)=19264% dps
Ohhh lets no forget if you get steal from a bandit you have 100% hp and mp recovery skill on bosses. Phantoms have it good.
Arrow Blaster is 90 ms delay when rounded, not 120 ms, so you’re looking at 11.11 hits per second instead of 8.33 hits per second (which is a pretty big boost). 😉

Lol… you’re kidding right? Have you seen their basic attack % damage? Go play a phantom for a bit, and then you will understand ma paaaaaaiinnnn! XD
Your pain is over phantom’s attack stupid. You’re phantom’s attack % is higher than Evan’s post-RED, making you the hero with the HIGHEST attack %.
Aran’s attack % 1v1 wasn’t even THAT much higher than Phantom’s in the FIRST place, and his skills, despite having CRAZY mobbing DPS ON PAPER, have such HORRIBLE range that you’d RARELY hit more than THREE mobs with a single attack.
He’s not a good mobber OR bosser in realistic situations, and his support, is also terrible, while his survivability, and mobility are ALSO laughable.
Seriously, aran’s at the BOTTOM of the DPS charts 1v1, is only good at mobbing ON PAPER, and is the absolute WORST at surviving and mobility as well.
I’ve seen ARCHERS with higher hp than my brother’s Aran, a WARRIOR, on top of terrible hp, he is one of the top 3 shortest ranged classes i’ve played, he has NO avoid boosts, and is worse at tanking the hits than some avoid based classes. Worse, his hyper is so weaksauce, that the ONLY reason it isn’t DETRIMENTAL to dps right now is because you can’t spam FB. He can’t 1v1, he can’t mob, he can’t tank, he can’t dodge, he can’t move fast, he can’t hit very far, the ONLY thing he’s good at is draining! Draining is a very limited boost to survivability, first off, you’d usually be able to heal with potions instead. second, it won’t let you tank anything you couldn’t tank already.There are other people good for more things.
With all this fail, I am happy that Aran at least is fun to play (in my own opinion).
Have you seen kms ver. 1.2.194 and 1.2.195 buff on Aran? FB is spammable … So top 3 shortest range classes are BaM, DB and Paladin? Please correct me if I’m wrg 🙂
Actually pallys got a huge range boost in RED so its only BaMs.
Ive a BaM and its not so weak as you think. I think the weakest class is mechanic, or maybe wild hunter, idk if WH is stronger after job balancing.
Actually, BaM’s have insane vertical range with battle king bar (which also has quite a decent horizontal range). That really more than makes up for the range of fb.
Not sure if troll or just really stupid. In regards to Aran’s mobbing, clearly you’ve never heard of combo tempest before. Our mobbing has an extremely large range due to a now very spammable AoE (the only really GOOD spammable AoE in the game actually). At warrior grounds I wipe the entire map before respawn on my 213 Aran. And I have 34k HP without hyper body, which is about as much HP as Paladins and Dark Knights (who aren’t using HB) have. We have two skills that greatly reduce our damage too to about 50% of what most other classes would be taking, on top of an easily achieveable max defense stat.

Phantom’s wasn’t buffed, explorers were. Stolen skills are only a part of Phantom.

Sooooo my biggest question is for BaM does Big Crunch Aura give x3 to everything that auras do that isn’t passive? The big things are does dark Aura give 60%damage now, does yellow aura give +6 attack speed and 60% dodge +20% passive giving 80% dodge and does blue aura now give 180% defense?

edit: southperry says that Body Boost and Big Crunch Aura now just boost Dark Aura – Damage; Yellow Aura- Attack Speed, Movement Speed, and Dodge Rate; and Blue Aura – Damage Redistribution and Defense. So Body Boost doubles those stats while BCA triples them.

I personally think all buffs are slow, especially when using multiple buffs at once. I normally just get on a rope or ladder and the buffs are five times faster. Of course there won’t always be a rope or ladder so….*shrugs*

I think its because being lvl 200 doesn’t mean as much as it use to anymore (I’m not saying that this is because it’s easy to reach lvl 200)
Back in the old days (pre-big bang), high level = high damage.
Now, there are lvl 140-150s that are out-damaging 200’s. Players have prioritize damage over levels. People use to idolize the lvl 200’s; instead, people now look up to those who can hit max damage.
That being said, I think a lot of maplers spend time trying to make their equipment better rather than focus on leveling. Lol, I know I’m guilty of this.
I’m sure the fact that so many new jobs have come out hasn’t helped. People just level a character until they get bored, then jump over to another character.

By DLC do you mean downloadable content or Disk Locked Content? Because the former is fine but the latter is a means of money grubbing by gaming companies that want you to buy their games and then pay more even after the purchase. I do not support that and if you mean what you say about Nexon only wanting to “maximize their profit margin” then I suggest you draw the line at Disk Locked Content as well, what happened with Capcom?
Assuming ‘FUCK U MAPLE FAGS’ and ‘FUCK MAPLE’ are two separate parties.
Personally I have no real reason to level my other characters past 120. As soon as I have the level 2 link skill they provide I go back to my Aran or Hero (inb4 Arans suck, yeah whatever).
I do enjoy the majority of the classes Nexon releases up to 120 and way before that level the story/quest-line practically ends before then (not including level 200 quests).
Up to this point only a fraction of my friends still play. Unless I have them on Skype or Facebook, I cannot keep up with them or their many characters with my many characters. I play solo up until maybe…level 100 when Party Quests have decent experience. Although the pqs are now easier, they still are the means to social interaction within the game similar to how it was Pre Big Bang *can’t complain*.
Should you care about people who are backed up by NX and HS, you could always make a mule account with a bishop for HSing purposes (Idk I really can’t be bothered to >compete< with people for levels anymore, annoying, time consuming and in the end means really nothing).
If Nexon is "getting serious" with Meso sellers, I am really not that impressed, they've been on their asses for a while now. If anything the sellers do NOT compare with the Meso generators (remember the recent incident in GMS? :D), which do not show up on radar often.
The only way Nexon is "getting serious" with these sources is if Nexon is getting big enough to pursue them in the first place rather than just banning conspicuous accounts.
Finally, Nexon/MapleStory is not going to be here in 10/20 years? Well indeed nothing lasts forever, BUT I say to you, that MapleStory, Club Penguin, Toon Town Online, World of Warcraft and Runescape are still online. They may not be as popular nor make as much money as they used to but they are still here supported by old players still in the game and by newer players that find out about them. SHOULD their companies be in danger of bankruptcy or disappearing another company would buy the game rights and indefinitely keep the game running. That is IF the game is still making money, which most of the time, enter your "fags with NX" are the ones keeping the game afloat.
In a sense the NX buyers, the same people you show contempt for, are the people paying for your game whilst you do not. There really is no reason for competition regarding leveling (PvP is another story) unless you can consider a text title with stats above your head a motivation to 200 (which to my knowledge happened to only Demon Avenger and Xenon). Aside from that they enjoy the game no differently than people without NX. Unlike Club Penguin or Toon Town which omits specific content for non membership players (*cough*bullshyt*cough*).

I think I feel your pain. I spent $130 total(which might not be much to you) in a few months because I liked the game. Since it kept going downhill, I quit and I regret ever wasting my money on this. I think it’s just going to get worse over time, just like the previous game “Runescape” I played for 5+years. My advice to you is just to let go and never look back. Sell all your crap for cash if you can. Every game is going to die one day, and I think Maplestory is dead. Look up “Maplestory” in googletrend and you’ll see that it died a long time ago. What you said is true, but those things, like sports, don’t change. People stop playing sports because they can’t or they get bored of it. People like me aren’t done with Maplestory yet(which is why some people want the old Maplestory), but we were forced to quit due to these changes. It’s like we paid to see something, and then people who ran the show decided to change what we wanted to see into something that we didn’t want to see. That would be a waste of money and time.
Main point is that we aren’t done. Stuff like a T.V. and a handphone we can replace when we are done. Sadly, Maplestory is Maplestory. It can’t be replaced, even with other games.

Lv. 100-200: 4th job. (before level cap and post-tempest)
Lv. ?-?: 5th Job (just imagine it came).
SO, where would the levels for 5th job go?, I simply think that they added 250 level cap too early because they are trying to make money, which again, is what any company does, i disagree that we have to go beyond 200 to reach a pointless goal, ecept for 5th job, if they add 5th job to the 250 cap then the level cap has a point, right now it has no point whatsoever, so, i think they released it much earlier simply because they wanted to make money, hoever, try to also notice that before the new level cap, leveling to 200 was too easy and people ranted over it quite a lot when they noticed it.
Now when the level cap was added, leveling gets a bit short in some degrees, there are PQ and whatnot, but most people prefer to solo, i myself would like plenty of alternatives aside from Evo and DI, DI is pretty fun most of the times, but evo gets a bit boring post 140.
By the way, it’s their choose to be over Lv. 200, let them do what they want to do, you shouldn’t be jealous about it, i have no level 200 class, yet i don’t despise these that are “higher” than me, so don’t hurt yourself trying to hate something that is not necessary to hate.

Whs were never weak if u look up joe tang’s dps chart, wild hunters were in top 10 till red where they dropped to about 15 or so. Wh have insane att% hp%( total of 120%) buffs and dodge rate(60%)
In each case, they both look like they have been tailored to suit her, and quite frankly, they look expensive..
