Resistance Character Creation

When creating Resistance, two new hairs and faces have been added: the Rush hair and Militant face for males and the Silky hair and Cool face for females.

Job Instructor Elex

Blaster’s job instructor is Elex, who was hinted towards being the warrior instructor since the Resistance first came out.

Hand Buster

Blaster uses a new two-handed weapon called the Gauntlet Revolver.

His secondary weapon is the Explosive Pill. He uses warrior equipment.

Cylinder Gauge

The Revolver has two types of resources, Bullets and the Cylinder Gauge. During melee combat, you can use the skill Revolving Cannon to fire cannon shots, consuming bullets (the circles).

    Act 1.5 was so sad tho ;_;

    • EvanAndMir
      December 21, 2015 at 10:17 pm

“Phantom, Mercedes, and Luminous join THE PROTAGONIST, Evan, on his adventure.”
Evan is the main character of Heroes of MAPLE confirmed
I suspected as much in Act 0, but Acts 1 and 1.5 both having Evan and the notes for 1.5 calling him “the protagonist” seem to confirm this.
Freud’s Leadership. So he WAS the leader. Evan’s his successor, which makes him the new Leader I guess!
Parties need a leader, so I guess I know who will remain in charge of the guild I started and lead the party of my Dream Team should I ever get the necessary [cos]players! That should be a BIT easier now that all 6 official arts use NX clothes (very few people would sacrifice a top/bot to look like a nub of their class…)

    • Lordius
      December 22, 2015 at 12:00 pm

Honestly, I need confirmation. Is Evan the protagonist? The leader of the new Heroes. Was Freud the old leader?

      • December 24, 2015 at 2:28 am

Freud was the old leader. He was the one who gathered the heroes together in the first place. He asked Phantom to join, but Phantom refused until Aria was killed.

      • December 25, 2015 at 8:51 am

It would seem Evan is the leader now anyways.

Oh my god they ruined turtle island exploration. hunger and thirst go down WAY too fast, it needs to be changed to going up 1 point every 20 days instead of 10. Good luck surviving after day 20. Good thing I got all those quests out of the way because I can barely make it to day 25 fully focused on getting fish and water now.

      December 22, 2015 at 11:55 am

I really wanna get the coins for the missions but I’m so bad at it LOL. The only mission I’ve completed so far is the ‘find the source of the noise’ one. I don’t even know where to go for the peak of the island thing or the Freezer :<

      • Anonymous
        December 22, 2015 at 1:04 pm

Freezer is on the peak of the island. I don’t know what item I made to enable access to get up there though. I think it’s just rope, but I don’t know for sure.

For the deep forest you go in the middle portal in the forked road once you get past the first set of JQ maps. You’ll need some metal ore, and leather from both the snowpuff monsters and the werewolves (it’s different leather… For some reason, reminds me of urus mats) once you have that you can make snowshoes, which raise your jump and speed by 20%. I think you can make skis which raise your speed/jump by 10% which should be enough, but why bother. Anyway once you have those you can complete the JQ at the end of the forest and get the flower for one of the quests.

The peak, once you have the right item for it, is on the left side of the forked path where you enter the caves/forest/peak. You climb up the mountain on the left, then you pretty much have 4 minutes straight of the awful minigame from act 1 where you just climb up an empty mountain with nothing happening except some rocks every like 45 seconds.

Ooh thanks, finally got the Freezer one. I’ll try out the forest one next. Where do you get better bait? I literally have only found the basic worms that give you the two basic fish xP

In the forest. Kill the werewolves and they have a pretty high drop rate of better bait, as do the higher “tier” wood piles you’ll find around them too. You’ll want to get the golden aura shrimp/prawn/whatever they’re supposed to be. Or diamonds obviously but I haven’t found any diamonds in over 280 days since the update so i’m thinking i’m looking in the wrong place for them. Probably only get them on the mountain peak.

Anyway, werewolves and lycanthropes will drop them at a fairly high rate, and I had better luck breaking open the wood piles in the deep forest maps for bait than in the cave. Cave gives better water, forest gives bait for better food, pretty straightforward. Also, the special salmon you need must be turned in uncooked.

Be aware you’ll need another pair of snowshoes to finish the deep forest mission. After that you’ll be on the same plane of hell as me, trying to stay alive more than 25 days at a time.

the challenge missions are quite easy except the grinding special salmon quest, I’ll just leave it there.
But this thing just takes too long and boring. It’s literally grinding.

It’s too bad Mechanic already took the pirate slot, so warrior was the next best thing.

late question, but does Blaster use the 2D skeletal animation system?

    • Max
      December 28, 2015 at 1:57 pm

Not sure but there are some skill effects that I can’t see with the usual program I use so maybe those skills do use skeleton animation.

Hey Max, does the 2x event stack with 2x coupons and 2x exp from runes ? If so, does that make 8x exp for 2 minutes (rune time) and 4x exp the other 28 minutes ? (2x coupon)

      December 29, 2015 at 10:45 pm

Nope, 2x event only stack with 2x rune but not with 2x exp coupon, you can also use golden extreme potion to increase the exp u gained during 2x event

Hi Max, I have a question regarding Phantom’s Talent of Phantom Thief H. I noticed that Cannoneer’s Hyper Skill Buckshot wasn’t included in your list in https://orangemushroom.net/2015/12/02/kms-ver-1-2-249-heroes-of-maple-unveil/ . Does that mean that Phantom is unable to steal that skill? Thanks in advance.
