KMS ver. 1.2.378 – MapleStory New Age: Identisk Island!
The first patch of the MapleStory New Age update has been released, including a variety of game improvements, Grandis area level adjustments, and Shangri-La as a full area. There’s also the new Hyper Burning up to level 260, Burning World, and the summer event Identisk Island. The event works pretty differently this time around as there is no coin capping at all! You basically just login, click a button and get 500 coins a day. Almost all of the items you would buy from the coin shop are now given out for free through the two tracks of the attendance check, the quantities have been greatly increased, and there’s no more battle pass.
Next week, 6th job will be released to the test server! Honestly I don’t think I’ll be able to include the skill effects like normal because they’ll probably be 100MB gifs lol. Steve, Kobe, and I have been trying to prepare various characters on the test world to show off but we’ll see how it goes.

On Saturday, a couple of hours after the New Age showcase finished, the test world updated with many of the game changes and system improvements mentioned there. No 6th job yet (that will start testing on June 22)! This patch will be coming to the official servers on Wednesday, along with the summer event which is actually pretty different system-wise but more on that in the next post (might be a couple days later since I just finished this one).
Director Wongki also has been making his rounds, visiting various streamers to talk and answer questions. He started with Geulja (글자네) right after the showcase! He has made some interesting statements and soft-announced various changes, so I’ll probably write up a summary sometime this week.

This winter’s update is called MapleStory Rise! It will take place over three patches, the first of which includes a new area in Arcane River, Reverse City, as well as a guild remodelling and other improvements for levelling characters.

Finally they have released some information (and a KMST patch) about the stuff we’ll be receiving for this winter’s update, titled MapleStory Rise! The first patch will be next week and is included in this post. The second one has this teaser silhouette and the third one has no information yet.
