The final chapter of MapleStory Blockbuster: Black Heaven has finally been released! This patch includes Act 5 and 6, as well as a new boss and new level 160 equipment. Now that Black Heaven is done, I wonder what our Winter update will be…

Like before, you can access the Blockbuster by going to the Maple Alliance HQ through the Dimensional Mirror or by using the Black Heaven icon.

Here’s the full Act map! They also updated some of the previous rewards. Now, when you clear Act 2, you’ll get a Nineheart’s Memories Chair. And when you clear Act 4, you’ll get an Android Helmet.

Act 5 is called Towards the Core! For clearing it, you will receive 7500 Honor.

The protagonist and the returned Sigmund, Bell, and Checky were able to take over Black Heaven’s deck. Now the Maple Alliance has gained a foothold in their attack against black Heaven. On the other hand, Orca who was rescued by Francis is heading towards Black Heaven to meet Suu. Their destiny will be changed. And Gelimer has said ‘Black Heaven’…

Act 6 is called Black Heaven. For clearing it, you will receive 12,500 Honor, the Maple World’s Saviour medal, and a special Riding.

Gelimer’s true purpose is to eliminate all human emotion and make everyone in Maple World his puppets. Can the protagonist and the rest of the Maple Alliance make it through Black Heaven’s maze in time to stop the ambitions of Gelimer?

Black Heaven is finally over! I actually loved this update, it had so many great moments and great gameplay as well, it was very different from regular MapleStory. The final two Acts were definitely the bast. In terms of dialogue and characterization, they were amazing! They gave backstory to Irvine, Martini and Gelimer, and they tied together so many things (Gelimer studying the Seal Stones and harvesting energy from Riena Strait) from previous storylines. Finally probably the most evil character in MS gets his just desserts!

Fighting Suu was really cool as well because I doubt I’ll be able to fight the real version any time soon, and Orca & Suu’s goodbye was so sad! “Without Orca, there is no Suu. And without Suu, there is no Orca.” The ending was also really great, and of course the amazing music!

There was even an ominous teaser for the next story update (check 9:30 of the Act 6 Part 4 video). I am sooooo looking forward to the next Blockbuster (assuming it is one)!

Act 5 features special climbing, a maze system, and circuit puzzles.

Act 6 features two new bosses, Gelimer and Suu!

Waiting at the end of Black Heaven is a dark aura… Suu! Users level 190~250 who have completed all the Acts of Black Heaven can challenge him in parties of 1 to 6 people.

You can either go through the Black Heaven map or use the boss matching system. You can attempt to fight Suu once per day, and you can clear the boss only once per week.

Suu has 3 phases: Core phase, regular Suu phase, and runaway Suu phase.

There is a potion cooldown of 5 seconds in Suu’s map. Your item options of reducing status durations cannot make any statuses last less than 1 second.

In his Core phase, Suu’s machine will shoot out lasers in 4 directions continuously. The lasers will spin around the map, forcing you to move with it. Sometimes, it will change direction or even spin faster!

He will also summon self-destructing flying robots from 4 places around the map. These robots will aggro to whoever is closest and depending on their colour will inflict a status on whoever it explodes on. They can slow, seal, or stun you, so be careful about the lasers when these guys are on top of you.

This patch also added a new level 160 set, the Absolabs set. I guess Suu drops them. It has the Absolabs Core Hat, Suit, Shoes, Gloves and Cape as well as a weapon. Here are the equipment stats. Note that there is one set for each job.

• Hat: 45 main and secondary stat, 3 attack/magic attack, 10% defense ignore, 11 slots, untradeable upon equipping, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors
• Suit: 65 main and secondary stat, 5 attack/magic attack, 12 slots, untradeable upon equipping, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors
• Shoes: 20 main and secondary stat, 5 attack/magic attack, 7 slots, untradeable upon equipping, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors
• Gloves: 20 main and secondary stat, 5 attack/magic attack, 7 slots, untradeable upon equipping, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors
• Cape: 15 all stats, 2 attack/magic attack, 7 slots, untradeable upon equipping, can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors

Here are the weapons‘ stats. They each come with 30% boss damage and 10% defense ignore (except the Blade) and have 8 slots. They are untradeable upon equipping and can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors.

The set effects are:

• 2 equips: 30 all stats
• 3 equips: 30 attack/magic attack, 10% defense ignore
• 4 equips: 20% HP and MP, 200 defense and magic defense
• 5 equips: 40 attack and magic attack, 30% boss damage
• 6 equips: 50 attack and magic attack, 10% defense ignore

In the Cash Shop, the Black Heaven pet package has returned, featuring Petite Suu, Wounded Orca, and Gelimer! You can also buy their packages separately for 9,900 NX.

There’s also the new Odette and Odile packages, for females.

And the Toy Prince set for males.

Finally, the Epi’s Box‘s special items have been updated. You can now get three new mounts featuring Gelimer, Beryl, and Suu, all of which have the ability to attack while you’re riding them!

The Suuroid and Orcaroid are also available, along with two new chairs: the Suu Pillow Chair and the Beryl Pillow Chair.
