Adventurers Character Creation

The long-awaited Adventurer remaster has been released in the test world! This post is gonna take a while so I will post early and update every time I’m finished with another job. Keep checking back for more information! Unfortunately, the patch notes don’t state what they changed, they just have all the skills listed from scratch, which makes it annoying to see what’s different and to translate as well haha.

Adventurer Remaster

Developer Notes:
Adventurers are the oldest job branch in MapleStory and they are the jobs that best show off MapleStory’s identity, but on the other hand, there were many areas for improvement.

We prepared the Adventurer remaster update with three goals: to enhance each job’s characteristics, update battle patterns, and enhance the skill growth experience, while keeping in mind not to harm the play experience of existing Adventurer players.

Since there are many changes, we think that it is important to carefully collect feedback from the many players who enjoy Adventurers. We will listen to your opinions and do our best to create a remaster that meets the expectations of our players. Among the changes applied in this test world, the detailed numbers are temporary values, and we are planning to check players’ various opinions and play data to continuously modify them until the next test world where the balance patch will take place. Skill sound effects and voices will also be reorganized to match the changed action delays.

Finally, in both the test world and the official world, all Adventurers’ skill points will be reset, and Phantom’s stolen skills will be reset as well. We request your understanding.

All Warriors

1st Job

Slash Blast Effect

  • Slash Blast¬†Slash Blast: Consume MP to attack multiple enemies around you at the same time. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 6 MP. Deals 335% damage on up to 6 enemies.
  • Warrior Leap¬†Warrior Leap: Use while jumping to jump once more. The jump distance increases as the skill level increases. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 11 MP. Jump a certain range.
  • Upper Charge¬†Upper Charge: Rush into the air and attack enemies. You can use this skill by pressing the up arrow key and the attack key together.
    Command Lock: Right-click. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 20 MP. Deals 304% damage on up to 5 enemies.

Leap Attack Effect

  • Leap Attack¬†Leap Attack: Ambush enemies by diving to the ground from the air. You can only use this skill when there is a platform within a certain range below you. You can use the skill with the down or forward arrow keys to move diagonally.
    You can use this skill by pressing the down/forwards arrow key and the attack key together. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 5 MP. Deals 90% damage 2 times on up to 4 enemies.
  • Iron Body¬†Iron Body: Increase your defense and maximum HP by a certain rate, and decrease damage taken from enemy attacks. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: 200 defense, 20% HP, 10% damage reduction.
  • Warrior Mastery¬†Warrior Mastery: By learning the warrior’s basic skills, increase your movement speed, jump, maximum HP, maximum speed, and the chance to not be knocked back by enemy attacks. (max level: 15)
    • Level 15: 10 speed, 10 jump, 10 maximum speed, 20 maximum HP per level, 40% stance.

Hero

2nd Job

Brandish Effect

  • Brandish¬†Brandish: Attack multiple enemies in front of you twice in a row. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 16 MP. Deals 280% damage 2 times on up to 6 enemies.

Flash Slash Effect

  • Flash Slash¬†Flash Slash: Rush towards enemies like a flash of light and cut enemies in your path. (max level: 9)
    • Level 9: Consumes 30 MP. You can combine the skill with the arrow keys to find an enemy in 8 directions. Rush to the found enemy and deal 145% damage 5 times on up to 6 enemies.
  • Combo Attack¬†Combo Attack: When activated, stack a Combo Counter with a certain rate every time you attack. You can stack up to 5 Combo Counters.
    When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill.
    Combo Counter Effect On/Off: right click. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1: When activated, attacks have a 40% chance to stack a Combo Counter. Increases attack by 2 per Combo Counter. Maximum of 5 Combo Counters.

Spirit Blade Effect

  • Spirit Blade¬†Spirit Blade: Your sword and your soul become one for a certain period of time, increasing the attack of party members (including yourself) and reflecting the damage you take. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 20 MP. For 200 seconds, increases party members’ (including yourself) attack by 30, decreases damage taken by 30% and reflects 500% of that damage.
  • Weapon Mastery¬†Weapon Mastery: Increase your sword and axe mastery, attack speed, and final damage.
    (Level 10 of this skill is required to learn the 4th job skill Advanced Combo) (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 50% sword and axe mastery, 1 attack speed, 10% final damage, 5% damage when equipping an axe.
  • Weapon Acceleration¬†Weapon Acceleration: Increase attack speed and STR. (Required skill: level 5 Weapon Mastery) (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 2 attack speed, 10 STR.
  • Final Attack¬†Final Attack: Activate an additional hit with a certain rate after using an attacking skill that hits an enemy. This skill will only activate when you have a sword or axe equipped.
    (Required skill: level 3 Weapon Mastery) (Level 20 of this skill is required to learn the 4th job skill Advanced Final Attack) (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: [Final Attack skill] 40% chance to activate a final attack of 150% damage.
  • Physical Training¬†Physical Training: Through physical training, permanently increase STR and DEX. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: 30 STR, 30 DEX.

3rd Job

Brave Slash Effect

  • Brave Slash¬†Brave Slash: Attack multiple enemies in front of you three times in a row. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 19 MP. Deals 258% damage 3 times on up to 6 enemies.
  • Aura Blade¬†Aura Blade: Unleash a sword slash that cuts through enemies in a desired direction. You can direct the sword slash in 8 directions by using the skill together with the arrow keys. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 55 MP. Activate a sword slash that deals 200% damage 6 times on up to 8 enemies.
      Cooldown: 7 seconds.

Rush Effect

  • Rush¬†Rush: Rush forwards and push multiple enemies in front of you. Certain monsters cannot be moved. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 20 MP. Deals 305% damage on up to 12 enemies.

Scarring Sword Effect
Scarring Sword Effect (Debuff)

  • Scarring Sword¬†Scarring Sword: Sharpen your sword, leaving unremovable scars on enemies. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 20 MP. For 80 seconds, attacks that hit an enemy have a 100% chance to leave a Scar.
      Enemies are Scarred for 20 seconds, decreasing their accuracy by 30% and attack by 30%.
  • Combo Synergy¬†Combo Synergy: Increase final damage per Combo Counter and the chance to stack Combo Counters.
    (Level 10 of this skill is required to learn the 4th job skill Advanced Combo) (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Attacks have an 80% chance to stack a Combo Counter. Increases final damage by 5% per Combo Counter (additive). When hit, there is a 30% chance to charge a Combo Counter.
  • Self Recovery¬†Self Recovery: Recover HP and MP at certain intervals. You can recover during combat as well. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Periodically recovers HP and MP.
  • Chance Attack¬†Chance Attack: When attacking a weakened enemy, deal more damage. In addition, permanently increase critical rate. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 25% final damage boost when attacking Scarred or bound enemies.
      20% critical rate.
  • Endure¬†Endure: Enhance your status resistance and elemental resistance. (max level: 14)
    • Level 14: 30 status resistance, 30% elemental resistance.

4th Job

  • Raging Blow¬†Raging Blow: Attack multiple enemies in front of you multiple times in a row. The last attack will be a critical hit. When your Combo is fully charged, the skill is enhanced.
    (Level 30 of this skill is required to learn the Hyper Skill Valhalla and the 5th job skills Sword of Burning Soul and Combo Instinct) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 40 MP. Deals 200% damage 7 times on up to 8 enemies, the last attack will be a critical hit.
      When Raging Blow is enhanced, deals 215% damage 7 times, the last 2 attacks will be critical hits.

Incising Effect

Incising Effect (Debuff)

  • Incising¬†Incising: Inflict a wound on enemies, dealing damage over time for a certain period of time. Increases the damage of critical hits during the damage over time. In addition, Aura Blade’s damage is permanently increased.
    (Required skill: level 20 Advanced Combo) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 36 MP. Deals 576% damage 4 times on up to 8 enemies. There is a 100% chance to inflict damage over time on enemies hit for 30 seconds, dealing 165% damage every 2 seconds. Critical hits deal 25% increased damage on inflicted enemies, 10% increase for party members’ attacks.
      Aura Blade’s damage is increased by 160%p.

Magic Crash Effect

Magic Crash Effect (Debuff)

  • Magic Crash¬†Magic Crash: Remove certain buffs applied to nearby enemies with a certain chance, and restrict them from applying buff effects for a certain period of time.
    Enemies hit will resist Magic Crash for 90 seconds. The buffs that can be removed are attack/magic attack buffs, defense buffs, and Hard Skin. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 15 MP. 100% chance to remove certain buffs. For 22 seconds, 10 enemies are restricted from applying buff effects.
      Cooldown: 60 seconds.

Enrage Effect

  • Enrage¬†Enrage: Explode the power of the charged Combo Counters. Enter a state where your attacks are focused on an enemy, enhancing Raging Blow and dramatically increasing your damage.
    When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill.
    (Required skill: level 30 Advanced Combo) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 50 MP.
      25% final damage, 20% critical damage.
      All your attacking skills (except certain summons) have their maximum number of monsters hit decreased to 1/3, for skills that hit multiple enemies the minimum number is 3.

Maple Warrior Effect

  • Maple Warrior¬†Maple Warrior: Increase all stats of party members by a certain percentage for a certain period of time. This skill does not stack with Maple Warrior, Cygnus Knights, Nova’s Warrior, Lef’s Warrior, Another World’s Warrior, Anima’s Warrior, or Rhinne’s Protection. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 70 MP. For 900 seconds, increases all stats of directly assigned AP by 15%.

Hero's Will Effect

  • Hero's Will¬†Hero’s Will: Concentrate your mind to remove status effects. You are immune to status effects for 3 seconds after using this skill. However, this skill will not apply to certain status effects. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 30 MP. Cooldown: 360 seconds.
  • Advanced Combo¬†Advanced Combo: Increase the final damage per Combo Counter and maximum number of Combo Counters. There is a certain chance to charge 2 Combo Counters. In addition, increase mastery.
    (Required skills: level 10 Weapon Mastery, level 20 Combo Synergy) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Final damage boost per Combo Counter is increased to 10%, maximum of 10 Combo Counters, 80% chance to charge 2 Combo Counters, increase weapon mastery to 70%.
  • Combat Mastery¬†Combat Mastery: Ignore a certain percentage of monsters’ defenses when attacking. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: 50% defense ignored.
  • Stance¬†Stance: Permanently increase your chance to not be knocked back by enemy attacks. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: 60% Stance.
  • Advanced Final Attack¬†Advanced Final Attack: Permanently increases attack and greatly increases Final Attack’s activation chance and damage.
    (Required skill: level 20 Final Attack) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: 30 attack.
      [Final Attack skill] 60% chance to activate 3 final attacks of 170% damage.

Hyper

  • Advanced Combo - Reinforce¬†Advanced Combo – Reinforce: Final damage boost per Combo Counter is increased by 2%. (required level: 140)
  • Advanced Combo - Bonus Chance¬†Advanced Combo – Bonus Chance: Chance to charge 2 Combo Counters is increased by 20%. (required level: 150)
  • Advanced Combo - Boss Killer¬†Advanced Combo – Boss Killer: Boss damage per Combo Counter is increased by 2%. (required level: 180)
  • Advanced Final Attack - Reinforce¬†Advanced Final Attack – Reinforce: Advanced Final Attack’s damage is increased by 10%. (required level: 140)
  • Advanced Final Attack - Bonus Damage¬†Advanced Final Attack – Bonus Damage: Advanced Final Attack’s attack boost is increased by 20. (required level: 165)
  • Advanced Final Attack - Bonus Chance¬†Advanced Final Attack – Bonus Chance: Advanced Final Attack’s chance to activate is increased by 15%. (required level: 180)
  • Raging Blow - Reinforce¬†Raging Blow – Reinforce: Raging Blow’s damage is increased by 20%. (required level: 150)
  • Raging Blow - Extra Target¬†Raging Blow – Extra Target: Raging Blow’s number of monsters hit is increased by 2. (required level: 165)
  • Raging Blow - Bonus Attack¬†Raging Blow – Bonus Attack: Raging Blow’s number of hits is increased by 1. (required level: 190)
  • Valhalla¬†Valhalla: Call the will of ancient warriors to exert their powerful strength. Hero’s attacking skills that hit an enemy will create sword strikes that remain like afterimages for a certain period of time, continuing to attack enemies.
    (Required skill: level 30 Raging Blow) (required level: 140)
    • Level 1: Consumes 300 MP. For 30 seconds, you cannot be knocked back by any enemy attacks, 50 attack, 30% critical rate, 100 status resistance, 100% elemental resistance, and Raging Blow is enhanced.
      The sword strikes deal 500% damage 4 times on up to 6 enemies, and can attack up to 2 times.
      Cooldown: 150 seconds.

Rage Uprising Effect

  • Rage Uprising¬†Rage Uprising: Unleash the rage of ancient warriors to scorch enemies in front of you. (required level: 160)
    • Level 1: Consumes 200 MP. Deals 500% damage 8 times on up to 10 enemies.
      Cooldown: 10 seconds.

Epic Adventure Effect

  • Epic Adventure¬†Epic Adventure: A buff that can only be used by legendary Adventurers who have traveled throughout Maple World, increases damage. (required level: 190)
    • Level 1: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increase damage by 10%.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds. Applies to any Adventurer jobs in the party.

5th Job Skill Changes

  • Sword of Burning Soul¬†Sword of Burning Soul: Create a burning soul in the shape of a sword. If this skill hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage.
    (Required skill: level 30 Raging Blow) (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 350 MP. For 72 seconds, create a soul sword near you. If you use the skill again, the sword can be fixed to that location. If you move too far away from it, it will return to your side. While the sword exists, Raging Blow is enhanced.
      When you use your own attacking skills, it will attack every 1 second, hitting 6 times on up to 8 enemies with an additional 50% critical rate.
      Regular State: 620% damage, Enrage state: 700% damage.
      Fixed State: 565% damage, Enrage State: 615% damage.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds.

Developer Notes:

In order to better highlight Hero’s concept of a warrior proficient in swordsmanship, we have removed other concepts like ‘rage’ or ‘flame’ and have added concepts related to ‘swords’ and ‘sword slashes’ to various effects.

In terms of combat, all skills have been changed so that Combos are no longer consumed, removing the negative experience that occurs at the instant when Combos, which are almost always maintained, are consumed.

Since Combo consumption has been removed, you can no longer receive the stacked final damage boost from Combo Deathfault, so we have supplemented this with the changed Valhalla.

In addition, when your Combo is fully charged, Raging Blow will now always be enhanced, improving the experience where you had to use multiple skills at specific times to maintain enhanced Raging Blow.

The hunting ability was also supplemented by changing Shout to Aura Blade, and the mobility was increased by replacing Combo Force with Flash Slash.

Finally, we planned to improve convenience with things like adjusting Incising’s debuff duration and changing Panic to a buff skill. However, Incising’s debuff duration is currently the same as before, and will be changed to a more appropriate number in a later update.

Paladin

2nd Job

Divine Swing Effect

  • Divine Swing¬†Divine Swing: Swing a divine hammer to attack and stun nearby enemies. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 30 MP. Deals 160% damage 4 times on up to 6 enemies, 90% chance to stun for 6 seconds.
  • Holy Force¬†Holy Force: When you attack using Divine attacking skills and Blast, charge the power of holy light to enhance yourself. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1:¬†When you attack using Divine attacking skills and Blast, for 30 seconds, charge 1 Holy Force up to a maximum of 5.
      For each charged Holy Force, your damage and recovery rate (excluding potions) are increased by 2%, attack by 8, status resistance by 2, and damage from enemy attacks (including % HP attacks) is decreased by 2%.

Page Order Effect

  • Page Order¬†Page Order: Pull enemies towards you with holy hammers, dealing damage and slowing them. Certain monsters cannot be moved. (max level: 9)
    • Level 9: Consumes 20 MP. Deals 125% damage 2 times on up to 8 enemies. Enemies pulled towards you will be slowed by -20 for 6 seconds and have an 80% chance to be stunned for 4 seconds.
  • Weapon Acceleration¬†Weapon Acceleration: Increase attack speed and STR.
    (Required skill: level 5 Weapon Mastery) (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 2 attack speed, 20 STR.
  • Stance¬†Stance: Permanently increase your chance to not be knocked back by enemy attacks. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: 60% Stance.
  • Weapon Mastery¬†Weapon Mastery: Increase your sword and blunt weapon mastery and attack speed.
    (Level 10 of this skill is required to learn the 4th job skill Paladin Expert) (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 50% sword and blunt weapon mastery, 1 attack speed.
  • Final Attack¬†Final Attack: Activate an additional hit with a certain rate after using an attacking skill that hits an enemy. This skill will only activate when you have a sword or blunt weapon equipped.

Divine Charge Effect

  • Divine Charge¬†Divine Charge: Summon a divine hammer to slam down on enemies and silence them.
    (Level 20 of this skill is required to learn the 4th job skill Divine Stigma) (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 35 MP. Deals 310% damage 4 times on up to 8 enemies, 70% chance to silence for 8 seconds.

Restoration Effect

  • Restoration¬†Restoration:¬†Instantly recover your own HP. The amount recovered increases as the skill level increases. If used repeatedly, the amount recovered will be decreased temporarily. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 40 MP. Instantly recover 50% maximum HP, if used again within 15 seconds the recovery amount is decreased by 10%, down to a minimum of 10%.

Rush Effect

  • Rush¬†Rush: Rush forwards and push multiple enemies in front of you. Certain monsters cannot be moved. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 20 MP. Deals 305% damage on up to 12 enemies.

Noble Demand Effect

Noble Demand Effect (Debuff)

  • Noble Demand¬†Noble Demand: Release the pride of a holy knight to reduce the attack, defense rate, and accuracy of nearby enemies with a certain chance for a certain period of time. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 24 MP. 100% chance to affect up to 6 enemies, decreasing their attack and defense rate by 50% for 80 seconds and their accuracy by 50% for 8 seconds.

Parashock Guard Effect

  • Parashock Guard¬†Parashock Guard:¬†Reduces nearby party members’ damage taken and lets them Guard at a certain chance, and increases your own attack.
    When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 32 MP. Nearby party members (excluding yourself) will take 20% reduced damage and have a 20% chance to Guard. Increases your own attack by 20.

Combat Orders Effect

  • Combat Orders¬†Combat Orders: For a certain period of time, increases all party members’ (including yourself) skill levels. Each job’s 4th job skills can be increased past their master level, but other skills can only be increased up to their master level.
    Certain special skills, beginner skills, Combat Orders, Hyper skills, and 5th job skills’ skill levels will not be increased.
    (Required skill: level 5 Restoration) (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 36 MP. For 200 seconds, increases all skill levels by 2.
  • Shield Mastery¬†Shield Mastery: When a Shield or Rosario is equipped, increases elemental resistance, status resistance, defense, and attack. When a Shield is equipped, there is a chance to Guard enemy attacks and stun them. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: When a Shield or Rosario is equipped, increases status resistance by 40, elemental resistance by 40%, defense by 250%, attack by 10, chance to Guard by 40% with a 60% chance to stun on successful Guard.
  • Achilles¬†Achilles: Permanently enhances your body to decrease damage taken from enemies. (max level: 14)
    • Level 14: Decreases damage taken by 30%.

Blessing Armor Effect

  • Blessing Armor¬†Blessing Armor: When hit, there is a chance to create a shield for 90 seconds that defends against up to 10 hits and increases the character’s attack. When it activates, it cannot be recreated for a certain period of time. Cannot be dispelled by enemy attacks. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: When hit, there is a 100% chance to create a shield. For 90 seconds, increases attack by 20 and defends against up to 10 hits.
      However, % HP attacks will have their damage decreased by 25%.
      After being activated, another shield cannot be created for 30 seconds.

4th Job

  • Divine Stigma¬†Divine Stigma: Summon a more powerful divine hammer. Divine Charge’s damage and range are increased, and Divine Stigma can be used at certain intervals. When Divine Stigma is used, a stigma of light is engraved at the location of the attack, and after a certain period of time, the stigma explodes to attack enemies in a wide range. Party members bonded with Holy Unity will not activate the stigma explosion.
    (Required skill: level 20 Divine Charge) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Divine Stigma: Consumes 55 MP. Deals 420% damage 7 times on up to 10 enemies and engraves a Divine Stigma that will explode after a certain period of time.
      Stigma Explosion: Deals 290% damage 5 times on up to 10 enemies, with 30% increased damage when attacking regular monsters.
      [Passive Effect: Divine Charge’s damage is increased by 100%p, range is enhanced.]

Blast Effect

  • Blast¬†Blast: Become one with the knight of holy light to powerfully attack a single enemy. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 24 MP. Deals 285% damage 10 times.

Divine Judgement Efect (Divine Brand)

Divine Judgement Effect (Stack)

  • Divine Judgement¬†Divine Judgement: Attack with a Divine Brand on Blast. When attacking enemies with Blast, the Divine Brand is stacked, and when Blast is used to attack an enemy with a certain number of stacks, the Brand will explode to deal additional damage while ignoring a certain percentage of the monster’s defenses. Party members bonded with Holy Unity will not stack Brands with Blast.
    (Required skill: level 5 Blast) (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Stack Divine Brands on enemies hit with Blast.
      Divine Brand: 15 second duration, when the Brand is stacked 5 times, it will explode dealing 500% damage 10 times on 1 enemy with an additional 20% defense ignored.

Magic Crash Effect

  • Magic Crash¬†Magic Crash: Remove certain buffs applied to nearby enemies with a certain chance, and restrict them from applying buff effects for a certain period of time.

The buffs that can be removed are attack/magic attack buffs, defense buffs, and Hard Skin.
    Enemies hit will resist Smite and other bind skills for 90 seconds. (required level: 160)
    • Level 1: Consumes 400 MP. Deals 500% damage 6 times on up to 15 enemies in front of you, enemies hit are bound for 10 seconds.
      The bind duration is increased by up to 100% based on the amount of damage that Smite deals to the enemy.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds.

Epic Adventure Effect

  • Epic Adventure¬†Epic Adventure: A buff that can only be used by legendary Adventurers who have traveled throughout Maple World, increases damage. (required level: 190)
    • Level 1: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increase damage by 10%.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds. Applies to any Adventurer jobs in the party.

5th Job Skill Changes

  • blessed-hammer Blessed Hammers:¬†Summon blessed hammers to attack enemies around you. If the hammers hit an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Passive Effect: 1 rotating hammer is automatically created around the Paladin each time Holy Force is charged. Up to 5 can be created and they share a duration with Holy Force.
      The hammers automatically attack, dealing 500% damage 2 times on up to 4 enemies, their attack speed is increased based on the number of hammers.
      Active Effect: Consumes 1000 MP. For 30 seconds, the hammers are enhanced with a bigger range, dealing 1050% damage 3 times on up to 8 enemies.
      Cooldown: 60 seconds.
  • Grand Cross Grand Cross: Summon a gigantic cross of light that symbolizes a sublime sacrifice. If you continue the skill, it will become more powerful. You can move at a slow speed and continue to attack. If the sacrifice continues, it will become more powerful. While casting this skill, you cannot be knocked back by any enemy attacks and you ignore all stuns. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 5000 HP, then 1.5% max HP per second. While holding the key down, the cross will deal 420% damage 12 times continuously on up to 12 enemies.
      After continuing for a certain period of time, the cross will become bigger, its attack speed will be increased, and it will deal 720% damage.
      Maximum keydown time is 10 seconds, with an additional 100% critical rate and 100% defense ignored.
      While holding the key down, damage from enemies (including % HP attacks) will be decreased by 50%.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds.

Holy Unity Effect

  • Holy Unity Holy Unity: Bind yourself to 1 party member with your holy power. When you use certain attacking skills and buff skills, the bonded party member will use those skills as well. If you are not bonded to a party member then a party member moves near you, you will automatically bond with that party member.
    If the party member leaves a certain range or cancels Holy Unity, the bond will be cancelled and all of Paladin’s buffs applied to the party member will be cancelled as well. You cannot bind with another Paladin or a party member that is bonded with another Paladin.
    During the skill duration, you can use the skill with the down arrow key to select which party member to bond with using the number keys. The party members will be numbered based on their location in the party UI, and you cannot select yourself, the party member you are already bonded with, or party members that you cannot bond with. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 1000 MP. For 85 seconds, increases final damage by 72%.
      Bond with a Party Member: They will cast your attacking skills with 37% final damage, buff skills used by party members will have 62% + 1% per 1000 of your STR duration, up to a maximum of 100%.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds.

Developer Notes:

Paladin had a mixture of concepts, a divine warrior and an elemental warrior that uses multiple elements. We have removed the concepts related to meaningless elements and improved various skill effects to further enhance the divine warrior concept.

In terms of combat, Paladin had the identity of a supportive warrior with excellent personal survivability and the ability to support party members using things like Holy Unity. But even considering these points, their combat ability was relatively lacking in both hunting and boss fights.

To improve their hunting ability, we have improved Divine Charge and Blessed Hammer’s ranges as well as added Divine Stigma, which attacks enemies in a large range periodically and has an explosion which attacks enemies in a big upper range.

In addition, to improve their combat ability in bosses, we have unified Grand Cross and Holy Unity’s cooldowns and adjusted the skill performance to match the increased cooldown, as well as added Divine Judgement, which activates an additional attack when Blast hits an enemy consecutively.

The Elemental Charge skill has also been changed to the divine warrior concept’s Holy Force skill to improve it so that most attacking skills can stack it. Various convenience related improvements have been made such as improving the probability experience from Threaten and its related Hyper passive skills and Blessing Armor’s visibility.

    • Level 20: Consumes 20 MP. For 200 seconds, increases final damage by 20%. The final damage boost will be decreased proportionally if your current HP is less than 50% of your maximum HP.
      Damage taken is decreased by a flat value equal to 8% of your decreased HP, up to a maximum of 4000.

      When the skill is used again and ends, activate a dark slash that deals 1325% damage 13 times on up to 8 enemies, with 1 additional slash activated per 3 acquired life force.

To further solidify Dark Knight’s concept of a spearman who has contracted with darkness and to bring out their unique dark atmosphere, various skill effects as well as Beholder and Reincarnation’s images have been remastered.

In combat, Gungnir Descent was changed so that it can be used without a cooldown at all times to increase freedom in combat. Sacrifice was changed to Dark Resonance and to avoid the problem of having to use Beholder skills at unwanted times to reduce Sacrifice’s cooldown, it has been changed so that the cooldown decreases whenever Dark Knight directly uses skills to hit an enemy. It has also been improved so that it does not consume Beholder.

Finally, Dark Knight’s core skill, Reincarnation, has been changed so that you can choose one of 3 modes with different invincibility durations and cooldowns so that you can respond more flexibly depending on the situation. In addition, the 5th job skill Pierce Cyclone has been improved so that it can do all of its damage in a shorter period of time, and Darkness Aura’s forced conditions for Iron Wall and Hyper Body have been removed so that its convenience is improved.

All Magicians

1st Job

  • Energy Bolt¬†Energy Bolt: Fire an energy cluster that explodes when it hits an enemy. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 24 MP. Deals 309% damage on up to 4 enemies.

Magic Guard Effect

  • Magic Guard¬†Magic Guard: With magic power, reduce damage taken and redirect some of it to MP. However, this does not apply to % HP attacks.
    While activated, if your MP is above 0, it will activate automatically. If your MP reaches 0, it will consume HP instead. When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 13 MP. When activated, 85% of damage taken is redirected to MP.
  • Teleport¬†Teleport: Teleport a certain distance. You can press this skill with the up, down, left, and right arrow keys to move in the corresponding direction.

Mana Wave Effect

  • Mana Wave¬†Mana Wave: Expel a wave of mana to the floor to leap upwards. You can activate this skill by using the up arrow key and the jump key together. After this skill is used, you can hold the jump key down to descend slowly for a certain period of time. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1: Consumes 10 MP. Jump a certain range.
      After using the skill, you can hold the jump key down to consume 20 MP and descend slowly for up to 5 seconds.
  • Magic Armor¬†Magic Armor: Increase defense by concentrating your magic in your armor.

  • Unstable Memorize Effect Unstable Memorize Unstable Memorize: Use the magic you remembered through Memory Choice. It is unstable because it relies on your memory. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 100 MP. Use a remembered skill.
      The selected skill’s MP cost and cooldown are ignored, and Unstable Memorize’s cooldown is decreased by a specific percentage based on each rate (1% chance to decrease cooldown by 20%, 5% chance for 25%, 10% chance for 30%, 15% chance for 35%, 20% chance for 35%, 15% chance for 40%, 10% chance for 45%, 5% chance for 50%, 5% chance for 55%, 5% chance for 60%, 5% chance for 70%, 3% chance for 75%, 1% chance for 80%).

Memory Choice Effect

  • Memory Choice¬†Memory Choice: Follows the memories of the magic you used and remembers the next magic you can use. When the skill is used, you can use the number keys to choose a¬† specific 3rd~4th job skill in a slot. The selected skill will be activated when Unstable Memorize is used. You cannot select unlearned skills. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 150 MP. Enter a number key to select the skill that will be activated by Unstable Memorize. If you do not enter a number key within 5 seconds or you enter a key other than a number key, the skill will be cancelled.
      Cooldown: 5 seconds.

Developer Notes:

Among the skills that could be acquired through the 5th job skill Unstable Memorize, Infinity’s efficiency was overwhelmingly high so when other skills were chosen, it was a big disappointment and there was also the inconvenience of having to press the key frequently while in combat.

Therefore, we are trying to improve this by changing the skill so that you can directly choose which skill will be activated by Unstable Memorize and the skill’s cooldown is applied at a chance.

In addition, we wanted to improve the mobility by adding Mana Wave and letting you choose to increase Teleport’s distance moved.

Poison Breath Effect

Poison magic is continuously created in the magic circle and the poison region slowly spreads to the left and right. If the region reaches the end of a platform, it will not spread anymore. If you use fire magic on the flammable poison region, it will cause a powerful explosion. Poison near the explosion will also explode. (max level: 14)

Paralyze Effect

  • Paralyze¬†Paralyze: Wrap multiple enemies in flames, paralyzing them for a certain period of time while dealing powerful damage. Paralyzed enemies will take damage over time. Certain monsters cannot be paralyzed. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 40 MP. Deals 220% 7 times on up to 8 enemies.
      Enemies hit are paralyzed for 5 seconds, taking 240% damage every second.

Mist Eruption Effect

  • Mist Eruption¬†Mist Eruption: Permanently increases Poison Mist’s DoT. When you use the skill, nearby installed Poison Mists will explode, inflicting fatal damage to enemies. It will deal more damage based on the number of DoTs inflicted on an enemy. You cannot explode other players’ installed Mists.
    Mist Eruption is not affected by cooldown resets. If a Mist is exploded successfully, Flame Haze’s cooldown will be reset.

    • Level 30: Consumes 100 MP. Activates 2 explosions that each deal 125% damage 10 times on up to 12 enemies with an additional 40% defense ignored.
      The explosion’s final damage is increased by 20% if there are 2 DoTs inflicted on the enemy by 45% if there are 3 DoTs, 80% if there are 4 DoTs, or 125% if there are 5 or more DoTs.
      You can explode a maximum of 6 Mists at the same time.
      Cooldown: 10 seconds.
      If Mist Eruption hits an enemy with 5 or more DoTs inflicted, the cooldown is decreased by 2 seconds. This cooldown reduction is applied before other cooldown reduction effects.

Enemies hit will ignore touch damage and be slowed by 50%. If it hits an enemy, Poison Mist will be created at that location. If it doesn’t hit an enemy, Poison Mist will be created at your current location.¬†

Infinity Effect

  • Infinity¬†Infinity: Concentrate your mind to draw infinite mana, allowing you to use skills without consuming MP for a certain period of time. There is a certain chance to not be knocked back by enemy attacks. In addition, your HP and MP are continuously recovered and all magic attacks’ damage are increased.
    Infinity is not affected by cooldown resets. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 80 MP. For 40 seconds, 70% Stance.
      All magic attacks’ final damage is increased by 70%.
      Periodically, recover 10% base HP and MP, and all magic attacks’ final damage will deal an additional 3% final damage (Infinity’s final damage boost will apply additively).
      Magic will swirl around the character when 40% of the duration remains after applying buff duration increasing effects.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds.

Ifrit Effect

  • Ifrit¬†Ifrit: Summon the fire elemental Ifrit for a certain period of time. Ifrit can attack multiple enemies at the same time. After learning Ifrit, permanently increase your mastery. If Ifrit’s attacks hit a enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage.

    • Level 30: When attacking, ignore 20% of monsters’ defenses. When attacks other than summons hit an enemy, there is a 100% chance to increase damage by 8% for 5 seconds. The damage boost effect can be stacked up to 5 times.
  • Master MAgic¬†Master Magic: Permanently increases magic and the duration of all buffs applied to you. (max level: 10)

  • Megiddo Flame¬†Megiddo Flame: Unleash a blue flame that burns enemies to their souls. The Blue Flames are recreated up to a certain number of times after burning enemies. The flames will prioritize boss monsters within range. If there are no boss monsters, they will prioritize the monster with the highest maximum HP. Megiddo Flame will deal damage to enemies using Damage Ignore and Damage Reflect. (required level: 160)
    • Level 1: Consumes 500 MP. Create 3 blue flames.
      The flames will deal 380% damage 4 times, then split to create an additional flame. A maximum of 11 flames can be created, including the first one. After it reaches the maximum number, they can no longer be recreated.
      If multiple flames hit a single enemy, the 2nd and later flames will have 55% decreased final damage.
      Enemies burned by the flames will take 700% damage every second for 30 seconds.
      Cooldown: 50 seconds.

Epic Adventure Effect

  • Epic Adventure¬†Epic Adventure: A buff that can only be used by legendary Adventurers who have traveled throughout Maple World, increases damage. (required level: 190)
    • Level 1: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increase damage by 10%.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds. Applies to any Adventurer jobs in the party.

5th Job Skill Changes

  • Posion Chain¬†Poison Chain:¬†Emit a deadly poison that chains between enemies and infects them. Poisoned enemies will explode after a certain amount of time, receiving damage and infecting other nearby enemies with the poison.
    Even if an enemy survives the explosion, the poison will stack, and the explosion will become stronger. If an enemy dies or disappears before the explosion activates, nearby enemies will be infected instantly. If you reach the maximum number of explosions, all infected enemies’ poison will be removed.
    Poison Chain does not activate Elemental Drain. If the explosion hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 1000 MP. Deals 500% damage 4 times on up to 2 enemies and infects them with poison for 20 seconds. The poisoned enemy will activate an explosion every few seconds that deals 300% damage 5 times and infects up to 3 nearby enemies.
      If there are no nearby enemies to infect, a poison crystal will be created for 10 seconds. The poison crystal will infect 1 nearby enemy then disappear. If the duration ends, it will disappear without infecting anything.
      The poison can stack up to 5 times, the explosion’s damage will be increased by 55%p per stack.
      The explosion can be activated up to 9 times on a single enemy and up to 22 times in total added up from all enemies.
      If you reach the explosion activation limit, the skill will end, all poison will be removed, and activate 1 additional explosion.
      Cooldown: 25 seconds.

Developer Notes:

Archmage (F/P)’s red coloured fire and green coloured poison skill effects contrasted well and fit its existing concept. Therefore, overall its effects have been updated and remastered to be more stylish.

In combat, we have added skills that can stack DoT to make it easier to play with the stacking DoT and explosion mechanic. DoT has been added to Fire Aura, and Slime Virus has been changed to Poison Region which installs a poison area that inflicts DoT. The Poison Region expands to surrounding areas regularly, and if you use a Fire skill in the area, a chain explosion will be activated to help hunting.

In addition, we have improved the ineffective Poison Chain and changed Megiddo Flame to a skill that creates multiple orbs so that it can be more effective in both bossing and hunting.

Cold Beam Effect

  • Freezing Effect¬†Freezing Effect: When attacking Frozen enemies, your critical damage is increased per Freeze stack. When attacking with Lightning element skills, your damage is increased per Freeze stack and reduces them.¬†(max level: 1)
    • Level 1: When attacking Frozen enemies, your critical damage is increased by 2% per Freeze stack. When attacking with Lightning element skills, your damage is increased by 9%¬†per Freeze stack and reduces them.

Thunderbolt Effect

  • Thunderbolt¬†Thunder Bolt: Create a powerful magnetic field around you and drop lightning on up to 6 enemies. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 30 MP. Deals 210% damage 3 times on up to 6 enemies.

Chilling Step Effect

  • Chilling Step¬†Chilling Step: When you cast Teleport, there is a certain chance that the distance you move is instantly frozen, inflicting damage to enemies passing over it and stacking Freeze.
    If Chilling Step hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage.

Elemental Adapting IL Effect

  • Elemental Adapting IL¬†Elemental Adapting (I/L): Create a shield of ice and lightning. When hit with a critical status effect, the shield will activate immediately to block all status effects for a certain period of time. In addition, permanently increases status resistance and elemental resistance. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 190 MP. When you defend against a critical status effect, create a shield that absorbs all status effects for 30 seconds.
      Cooldown after the shield activates: 240 seconds.

Glacial Wall Effect

  • Glacial Wall¬†Glacial Wall: Create a sharp wall of ice in front of you to push enemies away. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 70 MP. Deals 255% damage 4 times on up to 8 enemies.
  • Thunder Sphere¬†Thunder Sphere: Summon a sphere of condensed lightning. The sphere will zap nearby enemies with an electric current to attack them. You can use the skill again with the down arrow key to fix the sphere at its location. If the sphere is fixed at a location, it will attack enemies in a bigger range. The sphere’s attacks will not decrease Freeze stacks. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 55 MP. For 120 seconds, summon a Thunder Sphere. The sphere will deal 370% damage 1 time on up to 5 enemies.
      When used again with the down arrow key, the sphere will be fixed to its location for 50 seconds, dealing 370% 3 times on up to 6 enemies.
      Sphere location fix cooldown: 30 seconds.

Teleport Mastery Effect

  • Teleport Mastery¬†Teleport Mastery: When the skill is activated, consume additional MP to make Teleport deal damage and stun enemies.
    When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill.

    • Level 4: When attacking a Frozen enemy, there is a 100% chance to ignore 2% defense per Freeze stack.
  • Elemental Reset¬†Elemental Reset: Reduce the elemental attributes of all of the attacking skills you use. In addition, permanently increases final damage. (max level: 9)
    • Level 9: Reduces attacks’ element attributes by 10%, increases final damage by 50%.
  • Magic Critical¬†Magic Critical: Permanently increases critical rate and critical damage. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 30% critical rate, 13% critical damage.
  • Extreme Magic IL¬†Extreme Magic (I/L): Increases final damage when attacking enemies inflicted with DoT, stun, freeze, or blind, or paralysis. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Final damage when attacking enemies inflicted with DoT, stun, freeze, blind, or paralysis is increased by 20%.
  • Element Amplification¬†Element Amplification: Consume more MP to increase the damage of attacking skills other than Fire Aura. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes an additional 50% MP. Increases attacking skills’ damage by 50%.

Chain Lightning Effect

  • Chain Lightning¬†Chain Lightning: Fire a high-voltage current at targets to stun them. Chain Lightning applies additional critical rate and can chain to enemies near the target to attack. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 44 MP. Deals 185% damage 10 times on up to 6 enemies with a 90% chance to stun for 4 seconds and an additional 25% critical rate.

Freezing Breath Effect

Freezing Breath Effect (Debuff)

  • Freezing Breath¬†Freezing Breath: Freeze enemies and yourself with a powerful cold breath, binding them while continuously decreasing their defenses.
    Enemies hit will resist Freezing Breath and other bind skills for 90 seconds. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 22 MP. Become invincible and create a cold breath that deals 80% damage 4 times on up to 8 enemies. Enemies hit will be bound for 13 seconds and have their magic defense decreased by 30% and physical defense decreased by 15%.
      The bind duration is increased by up to 100% based on the amount of damage that Freezing Breath deals to the enemy.
      You can hold the key down for up to 13 seconds. Cooldown: 180 seconds.
  • Blizzard¬†Blizzard: Summon spears of ice from the sky to create a powerful ice attack and freeze multiple enemies. In addition, when using attacking skills, there is a certain chance for Blizzard to fall and deal damage to enemies. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 300 MP. Deals 301% damage 12 times on up to 15 enemies.
      Cooldown: 45 seconds.

Frozen Orb Effect

  • Frozen Orb¬†Frozen Orb: Collect shards of ice to create a frozen orb and throw it forwards to deal damage. The orb will slow down when it hits an enemy. If Frozen Orb hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 50 MP. Create a Frozen Orb that deals 220% damage on up to 8 enemies.
      Cooldown: 5 seconds.

Infinity Effect

  • Infinity¬†Infinity: Concentrate your mind to draw infinite mana, allowing you to use skills without consuming MP for a certain period of time. There is a certain chance to not be knocked back by enemy attacks. In addition, your HP and MP are continuously recovered and all magic attacks’ damage are increased.
    Infinity is not affected by cooldown resets. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 80 MP. For 40 seconds, 50% Stance.
      All magic attacks’ final damage is increased by 70%.
      Periodically, recover 10% base HP and MP, and all magic attacks’ final damage will deal an additional 3% final damage (Infinity’s final damage boost will apply additively).
      Magic will swirl around the character when 70% of the duration remains after applying buff duration increasing effects.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds.

Elquines Effect

  • Elquines¬†Elquines: Summon the ice elemental Elquines for a certain period of time. Elquines can attack multiple enemies at the same time. After learning Elquines, permanently increase your mastery. If Elquines’ attacks hit a enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage.

    • Level 30: Consumes 120 MP. For 260 seconds, summon Elquines.
      Elquines deals 127% damage 3 times on up to 3 enemies.

Maple Warrior Effect

  • Maple Warrior¬†Maple Warrior: Increase all stats of party members by a certain percentage for a certain period of time. This skill does not stack with Maple Warrior, Cygnus Knights, Nova’s Warrior, Lef’s Warrior, Another World’s Warrior, Anima’s Warrior, or Rhinne’s Protection. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 70 MP. For 900 seconds, increases all stats of directly assigned AP by 15%.

Hero's Will Effect

  • Hero's Will¬†Hero’s Will: Concentrate your mind to remove status effects. You are immune to status effects for 3 seconds after using this skill. However, this skill will not apply to certain status effects. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 30 MP. Cooldown: 360 seconds.
  • Master MAgic¬†Master Magic: Permanently increases magic and the duration of all buffs applied to you. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 30 magic attack, 50% buff duration.
  • Arcane Aim¬†Arcane Aim: When attacking, ignore a certain amount of monsters’ defenses and if you attack continuously, all attacks’ damage will increase. The damage boost effect will apply at a certain rate, and can be stacked up to 5 times. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: When attacking, ignore 20% of monsters’ defenses. When attacks other than summons hit an enemy, there is a 100% chance to increase damage by 8% for 5 seconds. The damage boost effect can be stacked up to 5 times.
  • Freezing Effect Frost Effect: Freezing Effect’s effects are increased.¬†(max level: 1)
    • Level 1: When attacking Frozen enemies, your critical damage is increased by 3% per Freeze stack. When attacking with Lightning element skills, your damage is increased by 12%¬†per Freeze stack and reduces them.

      Ice Aura (Vortex) Vortex: 15 second duration. Allies within the vortex will apply the same effects as Ice Aura and will stack Freeze on enemies quicker.
      Vortex recreation cooldown: 60 seconds.

Lightning Sphere Effect

  • Lightning Sphere¬†Lightning Sphere: Activate a giant electric sphere in front of you to continuously hit monsters. If Lightning Sphere hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. (required level: 160)
    • Level 1: Keydown skill. Consumes 30 MP per attack. Deals 150% damage 15 times on up to 15 enemies periodically. Maximum keydown duration of 3.6 seconds. Activate a finish attack that deals 780% damage 15 times, based on the keydown duration.
      Cooldown: 60 seconds.

Epic Adventure Effect

  • Epic Adventure¬†Epic Adventure: A buff that can only be used by legendary Adventurers who have traveled throughout Maple World, increases damage. (required level: 190)
    • Level 1: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increase damage by 10%.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds. Applies to any Adventurer jobs in the party.

Developer Notes:

To better highlight Archmage (I/L)’s existing concept of freely controlling two elements of ice and lightning, we have updated and differentiated the effects of the two elements.

In combat, we have added a feature that lets you quickly and instantly stack Freeze with Ice Aura so you can link ice/lightning skills more smoothly. In addition, to increase hunting performance, Chain Lightning’s chain range has been expanded and Thunderstorm has been changed to Thunder Sphere, which has an installation feature to help in both hunting and bossing.

The combat experience has also been improved by making Blizzard’s buff effect passive and changing Frozen Break to activate at all times.

Holy Arrow Effect

  • Holy Arrow¬†Holy Arrow: Summon holy arrows and fire them at multiple enemies. Undead and demon enemies will take increased damage. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 36 MP. Deals 185% damage 3 times on up to 4 enemies.
  • Blessing Ensemble¬†Blessing Ensemble: Your damage is increased by the number of party members that are receiving your buff effects. When in a party, acquire additional party bonus experience for each Cleric, Priest, or Bishop job in the party. However, the bonus cannot exceed 60%, it will not apply if there is a big difference in levels of party members, and will not apply if you are receiving your own effects. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1: Your final damage is increased by 2% for each nearby party member that is receiving your buff effects including yourself. Receive an additional 20% bonus experience per Cleric job party member.

Heal Effect

  • Heal¬†Heal: [Compassion] Recover HP of all party members, including yourself. Heal’s cooldown is decreased based on the number of members healed. Undead monsters in range will also take damage. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 24 MP. 300% recovered. Heal’s cooldown is decreased by 2 seconds for each party member healed.
      Cooldown: 4 seconds.

Angelic Touch Effect

  • Angelic Touch¬†Angelic Touch: [Vengeance] An angel descends to present the Angelic Touch to enemies. Enemies hit by the angel are weakened and their defenses are decreased from a certain period of time. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 24 MP. Deals 410% damage 6 times on up to 6 enemies.
      Enemies hit have their defenses decreased by 40% for 30 seconds.
      Cooldown: 10 seconds.

Bless Effect

  • Bless¬†Bless: Increase the attack, magic attack, and defense of nearby party members including yourself for a certain period of time. This skill can be used to stack with all other buff skills.
    (Required skill: level 5 Invincible)
    (Level 10 of this skill is required to learn the 4th job skill Advanced Bless) (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 20 MP. For 240 seconds, increases attack and magic attack by 15 and defense by 300.

    • Level 9: When you use magic attacks, there is a 20% chance to absorb 10% maximum MP.
      On boss monsters, you can absorb 5% maximum MP.

Shining Ray Effect

  • Shining Ray¬†Shining Ray: Inflict damage to multiple enemies using holy light with a chance to stun. Undead and demon enemies will take increased damage. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 45 MP. Deals 254% damage 4 times on up to 6 enemies with a 60% chance to stun for 5 seconds.

Holy Fountain Effect

  • Holy Fountain¬†Holy Fountain: [Compassion] Summon a holy fountain that restores party members’ HP with holy power. Party members with the Undead status can also use it. You can press the up arrow key near the fountain to heal. This skill is not affected by cooldown resets, recovery skill effectiveness increases, or summon duration increasing effects. You cannot summon this skill near a portal. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 40 MP. When used, recovers 40% HP. Can be used up to 20 times. Duration of 60 seconds.
      Cooldown: 60 seconds.

Fountain for Angels Effect

  • Fountain for Angels Fountain for Angels:¬†[Vengeance] Summon an object that punishes nearby enemies with divine power. The object periodically emits divine power to attack enemies. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 40 MP. 40 second duration.
      Periodically deals 120% damage 5 times on up to 8 enemies.
      Cooldown: 20 seconds.

Divine Protection Effect

  • Divine Protection Divine Protection:¬†Permanently increases status resistance and elemental resistance. When used, cast a divine shield that blocks critical status effects with holy power. When Dispel is cast, this skill’s cooldown is decreased based on the number of party members affected. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 80 MP. Block a critical status effect 1 time. Cooldown: 75 seconds.
      [Passive Effect: 40 status resistance, 40% elemental resistance]

Mystic Door Effect

  • Mystic Door¬†Mystic Door: Create a portal to the nearest town. Party members can use it multiple times until it disappears. Press the up arrow key on the portal to move.

    • Level 9: Consumes 60 MP. 200 second duration.

Dispel Effect

  • Dispel¬†Dispel: [Compassion] Nully all enemies’ magical effects within range and at the same time, remove certain status effects of all nearby party members including yourself to decrease Dispel and Divine Protection’s cooldowns. Dispel can remove critical status effects including stuns, darkness, reverse keys, and undead. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 10 MP. 100% chance to nullify magic and remove status effects. Dispel’s cooldown is decreased by 4 seconds for each party member who had their status effects removed.
      Divine Protection’s cooldown is decreased by 8 seconds for each party member who had their status effects removed.
      Cooldown: 8 seconds.

Triumph Feather Effect

  • Triumph Feather¬†Triumph Feather: [Vengeance] The angel of victor’s power descends. During the power of victory, angel’s wings are created periodically to chase and attack nearby enemies. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 150 MP. 60 second duration. During the buff, create 5 angel’s wings every 2 seconds that chase enemies for 4 seconds and deal 220% damage 3 times.
      Cooldown: 30 seconds.

Holy Symbol Effect

  • Holy Symbol¬†Holy Symbol: For a certain period of time, when nearby party members hunt monsters, you can acquire more experience. However, the effect is halved if you leave the range of the character who cast it.
    (Required skill: level 3 Dispel) (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 300 MP. For 240 seconds, increases party members’ acquired experience by 50%.

    • Level 20: Consumes 70 MP. Recovers 100% base HP. Creates a magic shield for 15 seconds. The shield can guard up to 15 hits.
      Damage taken from % HP attacks will be decreased by 10%.
      After being activated, the shield recreation and Holy Magic Shell’s heals are blocked for 80 seconds.
      Cooldown: 90 seconds.
  • Magic Critical¬†Magic Critical: Permanently increases critical rate and critical damage. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 30% critical rate, 13% critical damage.
  • Holy Focus¬†Holy Focus: Through communion with holy spirits, permanently increase all attacking skills and healing skills’ critical rate and magic mastery.

    • Level 4: All attacking skills and healing skills’ critical rates are increased by 40% and magic mastery is increased to 70%.

Angel Ray Effect

  • Angel Ray¬†Angel Ray: Summon a holy sword filled with the power of holy spirits and fire it forwards. The holy sword will be aimed at the enemy with the highest maximum HP in range. Enemies hit by the holy sword will become more vulnerable to attacks. Undead and demon enemies will take increased damage. Party members will have their HP recovered. Party members with the Undead status can also be healed. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 56 MP. Deals 225% damage 14 times on 1 enemy. Party members including yourself will be healed for 10% maximum HP.
      Enemies hit by Angel Ray will be inflicted with a debuff for 15 seconds that increases all allies’ final damage on them by 2%. The debuff can stack up to 5 times and the final damage is additive.

Genesis Effect

  • Genesis¬†Genesis: Drop pillars of holy light from the sky to create a powerful holy attack on 15 or less enemies. Additional critical rate will be applied. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 300 MP. Deals 405% damage 12 times on up to 15 enemies with an additional 25% critical rate.
      Cooldown: 45 seconds.

Big Bang Effect

  • Big Bang¬†Big Bang: Spread divine power in a wide range then explode it to attack. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 50 MP. Deals 480% damage 4 times on up to 10 enemies.
  • Blessing Harmony¬†Blessing Harmony: Blessing Ensemble’s effects are increased. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1: Your final damage is increased by 3% for each nearby party member that is receiving your buff effects.¬†

Holy Water Effect

  • Holy Water¬†Holy Water: [Compassion] Every time Angel Ray hits an enemy, you obtain holy water from the enemies’ purified blood. When the skill is used, you can summon cold chalices filled with holy water. Party members can use the up arrow key on the chalices to absorb the holy water and recover HP. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Passive Effect: Acquire 1 Holy Water when Angel Ray hits an enemy 7 times. You can acquire up to 5 Holy Water.
      Active Effect: Consumes 100 MP. Requires at least 1 Holy Water. Consume all of your acquired Holy Water and create chalices nearby. If there is not enough space to summon the chalices, only some of them will be created. The chalices have a duration of 5 seconds + 5 seconds per 2500 INT.
      Party members can use the up arrow key on a chalice to recover 5% max HP + 5% per 2500 INT (applied additively).
      Cooldown: 10 seconds. 

Holy Blood Effect

  • Holy Blood¬†Holy Blood:¬†[Vengeance] By shedding holy blood, you cannot recover for a certain period of time but you can exert more power. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 300 MP. Duration of 3 seconds + 1 second per 3000 INT.
      During the buff, HP recovered from skills is decreased by 99%, recovery from items is not affected.
      20% increased damage taken, 15% increased damage.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds.

Resurrection Effect

  • Resurrection Resurrection: Resurrect party members with a holy light. The invincibility and increased damage effects after resurrecting are not affected by buff duration increasing effects. Resurrection is not affected by cooldown resets. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 150 MP. Resurrects all dead party members in range and gives them invincibility for 8 seconds.
      If they are resurrected in a map with Death Counts, party members resurrected by Bishop will receive 5% + 1% per 2500 INT (up to 25%) increased damage for 30 seconds.
      Cooldown: 300 seconds.

    • Level 1: Consumes 500 MP. Deals 1000% damage 8 times on up to 15 enemies and provides a buff to all nearby party members that lets them ignore death once if their HP reaches 0.
      Cooldown: 90 seconds.
      Party members who receive the buff cannot receive the Heaven’s Door buff again for 600 seconds.

Epic Adventure Effect

  • Epic Adventure¬†Epic Adventure: A buff that can only be used by legendary Adventurers who have traveled throughout Maple World, increases damage. (required level: 190)
    • Level 1: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increase damage by 10%.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds. Applies to any Adventurer jobs in the party.

5th Job Skill Changes

  • Angel of Libra¬†Angels of Libra: Summon the angels of compassion and vengeance. The Angels cannot be used at the same time as Bahamut. If the Angels attack enemies using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 1000 MP. Summon the angels of compassion and vengeance for 30 seconds.
      Angel of Compassion: Every 5 seconds, recovers 15% maximum HP of all party members and uses a buff that increases damage by 5% + 1% per 1250 INT for 3 seconds (up to 100%).
      Angel of Vengeance: Deals 1000% damage 10 times on up to 12 enemies. Enemies hit are inflicted with the Angel’s Mark for 60 seconds. Holy element skills that hit those enemies will deal an increased 20% final damage and cause the mark to disappear.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds. 

Developer Notes:

We have updated various effects to better highlight Bishop’s identity as a holy priest.

In combat, Bishop’s Vengeance of Angels had large demerits and could not be used in party battles, so Bishop’s growth level was not reflected sufficiently while fighting. Therefore, when Vengeance is used, the skill usage restriction has been removed and the enhanced Angel Ray effect has been changed to be applied at all times.

Also, in Vengeance Mode, Heal, Holy Water, Holy Fountain, and Dispel are changed to Angelic Touch, Holy Blood, and Triumph Feather to improve Bishop’s combat ability. In addition, when Angel of Libra is summoned, it has been changed so that both angels are summoned at the same time.

Flash Mirage Effect

  • Flash Mirage¬†Flash Mirage: Use archery skills fast enough to leave afterimages. Whenever attacks that use arrows hit enemies a certain number of times, an afterimage is created that shoots an arrow which chases enemies and disappears. The arrows will chase a single enemy in front of the afterimage and pierce through enemies to attack.
    Installed Arrow Platter does not count as an attack used directly by you.
    When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 90 MP. When you hit enemies 15 times, create an afterimage that fires 1 arrow at 1 enemy in front of it.
      Arrow Platter, Hurricane, Silhouette Mirage, Afterimage Shot, Quiver Full Burst, and Arrow Rain count as 1 attack when they hit enemies 10 times.
      The fired arrows will pierce through up to 5 enemies on the way to the targeted enemy and deal 420% damage 4 times.

Phoenix Effect

  • Phoenix¬†Phoenix: Summon a Phoenix with the fire element for a certain period of time. Phoenix can attack up to 4 enemies at the same time with a certain chance to stun. If you attack a certain number of times while Afterimage Shot is on cooldown, an afterimage will activate for a short time to attack. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 800 MP. Duration of 30 seconds. During the buff, if there are enemies in range, create an afterimage for 3 seconds that periodically fires arrows which deal 800% damage 3 times.
      Every 1 second your attacks hit an enemy, the afterimage’s attack duration will be increased by 3 seconds.
      If the attack duration ends, the afterimage will no longer attack.

      Flame Arrowhead: When attacking, fire 6 flame arrows that deal 500% damage 9 times on up to 6 enemies. Reactivation cooldown: 2 seconds.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds.

Developer Notes:

Bowmaster is a job characterized by rapid-fire attacks like storms and a various types of additional arrows. Their effects have been changed so that the several different additional hits can be identified clearly.

In terms of combat, the underutilized Poison Arrows have been removed, and the Magic/Blood Arrows have been changed to a system where you can choose to turn them on/off. In addition, the new skill Flash Mirage has been added to supplement hunting/bossing abilities and to reinforce the unique feature of Bowmaster’s automatic rapid-fire attacks.

Also, Hurricane’s fixed movement speed has been removed, its casting delay has been decreased, and Quiver Full Burst’s arrow logic has been improved to increase the effectiveness of the skill.

Marksman

Piercing Effect

Pain Killer Effect

Sniping Effect

  • Sniping¬†Sniping: Aim at a monster’s vital point and inflict fatal damage. The attack will prioritize the enemy with the highest maximum HP in range. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 50 MP. Deals 465% damage 9 times with an additional 25% defense ignored and 100% critical rate.
  • Advanced Enhance Arrow¬†Advanced Enhance Arrow: Enhance Arrow’s attack methods are grown to their limits to use more powerful forms.
    You can use Enhanced Piercing II and Enhanced Sniping. You can acquire stacks when using Sniping.
    In addition, when Enhance type skills hit an enemy, you will acquire the Focus On buff.

      Focus On: For 5 seconds, increases final damage by 12% and defense ignored by 30%.

Arrow Illusion Effect

  • Arrow Illusion¬†Arrow Illusion: Summon a fantasy arrow for a certain period of time that lures enemies, deals damage, and counterattacks when it takes damage. If Arrow Illusion hits an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage. In addition, increases defense ignored. (max level: 30)
    • Level 30: Consumes 70 MP. Summon a fantasy arrow with 100,000 HP for 30 seconds.
      Deals 200% damage to nearby enemies and pulls them towards it with a 70% chance to stun for 4 seconds. If it takes damage, it will reflect 1200% of the damage.

  • Additional Bolt¬†Additional Bolt: All attacking skills that have 2 or more hits have their number of hits and final damage increased. Summon skills, common 5th skills, and certain skills’ number of hits will not apply the number of hits boost. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: All skills with 2 or more hits have their number of hits increased by 1.

  • Last Man Standing¬†Last Man Standing: If there are no party members nearby or only 1 enemy is being attacked, attack more powerfully. This skill only applies to your own directly attacking skills. If one of the two conditions is satisfied, the attack will be enhanced. You can also activate it on skills that hit multiple enemies when used on 1 enemy.(max level: 10)

      Cooldown: 15 seconds.

Epic Adventure Effect

  • Epic Adventure Epic Adventure: A buff that can only be used by legendary Adventurers who have traveled throughout Maple World, increases damage. (required level: 190)
    • Level 1: Consumes 100 MP. For 60 seconds, increase damage by 10%.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds. Applies to any Adventurer jobs in the party.

5th Job Skill Changes

  • Charged Arrow¬†Charged Arrow: Focus your mind and shoot a powerful soul arrow. You can hold the key down to focus, and when it is complete, activate a powerful Charged Arrow. You can focus even while using other skills.
    If you have focused for a long time, Charged Arrow will automatically activate when you use Sniping, Piercing, Long Range True Shot, or Repeating Crossbow Cartridge’s Full Burst Shot. However, Full Burst Shot will only fire it after all the arrows are fired.
    In addition, when it hits an enemy, you will acquire the Focus On buff.
    Charged Arrow will not apply Final Attack. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 750 MP. Deals 1000% damage 10 times on up to 10 enemies with an additional 50% defense ignore and 100% critical rate. If you completely focus, it will deal 1500% damage.
      Maximum focus hold time: 10 seconds.
      Cooldown: 10 seconds.

True Sniping Effect

  • True Sniping¬†True Sniping:¬†Accurately snipe enemies in your sights. Use your left mouse click to attack and right-click to cancel the skill. When it hits an enemy, you will acquire the Focus On buff. True Sniping will deal damage to enemies using Damage Ignore and Damage Reflect. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 1000 MP. Fire up to 7 arrows dealing 1700% damage 14 times on up to 12 enemies with an additional 100% critical rate.
      Enemies closer to the centre of the scope will take increased damage, from 15% up to 100% based on the distance with an additional 100% defense ignored.
      You can aim for up to 12 seconds, during which you are invincible. You are also invincible for 2 seconds after the skill ends.
      Whenever you hit an enemy, acquire the Focus On buff for 12 seconds.
      Cooldown: 180 seconds.
  • Repeating Crossbow Cartridge¬†Repeating Crossbow Cartridge:¬†Use special cartridges which let you fire multiple arrows at the same time. If you reuse the skill, you can use Full Burst Shot which consumes the cartridges. In addition, when Full Burst Shot hits an enemy, you will acquire the Focus On buff. (max level: 25)
    • Level 25: Consumes 750 MP. For 60 seconds, gain 8 Cartridges.
      Full Burst Shot: Consumes 150 MP. Consumes 1 Cartridge. Fire 4 arrows that each deal 600% damage 9 times with an additional 25% defense ignore and 100% critical rate.
      Cooldown: 120 seconds.

Developer Notes:

In order to highlight Marksman’s concept of an archer who carefully fires powerful arrows, we have improved various effects and hit feedback.

In terms of combat, to enable freer battles in both bosses and hunting, the mechanism of damage changing based on the distance from the enemy has been removed, and Enhance Arrow, a new mechanism that strengthens Sniping and Piercing whenever they are used a certain number of times has been added.

In addition, we have improved mobility by adding Retreat Shot, which was a Bowmaster skill, and added Bolt Flow which lets you teleport to a desired area.

  • Haste¬†Haste: Permanently increases speed, jump, and maximum speed. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 40 speed, 20 jump, 20 maximum speed.

Dark Sight Effect

  • Dark Sight¬†Dark Sight: Hide in the shadows for a certain period of time to avoid enemies’ attacks. If you avoid any % HP attacks, when Dark Sight is cancelled, a cooldown based on the number of hits avoided will be applied. During this skill, if you use a skill or press the Dark Sight key again, Dark Sight will be cancelled. However, certain movement skills will not cancel Dark Sight when used. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: Consumes 5 MP. For 200 seconds, hide in the shadows.
      If you avoid any % HP attacks, when Dark Sight is cancelled, a 3 second cooldown per hit avoided will be applied, stacking up to 5 times.

Flash Jump Effect

  • Flash Jump¬†Flash Jump: Use while jumping to jump once more. The jump distance increases as the skill level increases. You can also use this skill with the jump key. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 11 MP. Jump a certain range. You can use this 2 times in a row.
  • Nimble Body¬†Nimble Body: Permanently increases LUK by training the thief’s secret techniques. (max level: 10)
    • Level 10: 20 LUK.

Shuriken Burst Effect

  • Shuriken Burst¬†Shuriken Burst: Throw three exploding shurikens, dealing damage to the enemy hit and other nearby enemies. The shuriken will explode at the location of the first enemy hit. (max level: 20)
    • Level 20: Consumes 18 MP and 3 stars. Throws a shuriken that deals 560% damage on 1 enemy, then activates an explosion that deals 105% damage 6 times on up to 6 enemies.

Wind Talisman Effect

  • Wind Talisman¬†Wind Talisman: Throw a talisman filled with the power of shadows, knocking enemies away and dealing damage. However, certain monsters cannot be moved. (max level: 9)
    • Level 9: Consumes 17 MP and 2 stars. Deals 245% damage on up to 6 enemies and pushes them back 350 range.

Mark of Assassin Effect

  • Mark of Assassin¬†Mark of Assassin: When attacking enemies, there is a chance to inflict the Assassin’s Mark. If you attack a marked enemy again, a star will appear from the enemy and attack other nearby enemies. The stars will prioritize the enemies with the highest maximum HP in range. If the stars hit an enemy using Damage Reflect, you will not take damage.¬†
    When the skill is used, the effects are activated and when it is re-used, they are deactivated. On/off skill. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1: When attacking, there is a 40% chance to inflict the Assassin’s Mark. When attacking that enemy, create 2 stars that deal 30% + 1% per your level damage.

Shadow Rush Effect

  • Shadow Rush¬†Shadow Rush: Become one with the shadows and quickly move forwards. Whenever the Assassin’s Mark explodes, obtain the power of the shadows letting you use the skill again more quickly. (max level: 5)
    • Level 5: Consumes 5 MP. Move a certain distance. You are in Dark Sight while rushing.
      Cooldown: 5 seconds.
      Every time you attack an enemy inflicted with the Mark of Assassin or Mark of Night Lord’s Assassin’s Mark, the cooldown is decreased by 1 second.

Shadow Leap Effect

  • Shadow Leap¬†Shadow Leap: Use your shadow to jump into the air. (max level: 1)
    • Level 1: Consumes 16 MP. Jump up a certain distance.
  • Claw Mastery¬†Claw Mastery: Increases your claw mastery and the maximum charge of your stars.
