KMST ver. 1.2.113 – Kain Skill Changes
A small KMST patch was released today, it just has some skill changes for the new job Kain. I think they released it a little early because of the holidays, but since Kain comes out on January 7 and they still haven’t added any tutorial/story/skill sound effects, there will probably be one more test server patch next week.

KMS ver. 1.2.341 – MapleStory NEO: Signal!
The first patch of the winter update, MapleStory NEO, has been released! Titled Signal, this patch contains the new level 260 area Cernium as well as various growth changes and the level cap increased to level 300!
KMST ver. 1.2.112 – MapleStory Neo, Cernium, and Kain!
The test server patch I mentioned in my last post was released and it includes a lot of the content we’ll be receiving in this winter update! The main parts for this patch are the new level 260+ area Cernium as well as the new Nova archer job Kain!
MapleStory’s Winter Update – MapleStory Neo!
The winter update will be released in three parts:
- December 17: Signal
- January 7: Chaser of Darkness, Kain
- January 28: Hotel Arcs
Here’s a summary of the new things/updates coming:
- New level 260 area: Cernium
- New boss: Chosen Seren
- New level 270 area: Hotel Arcs (a hotel in the desert, featuring Senya Angler from the Savage Terminal story)
- Level cap increased to level 300
- 20% reduction in experience required from level 210-250
- Quest experience increased
- Monster Park Lacheln added
- Experience loss on death removed (experience acquired and drop rate will be temporarily decreased instead)
- Meso cap increased to 100b
- Damage cap removed
- New Nova archer job: Chaser of Darkness, Kain
The test server was just updated with some new content, but it’s 3 AM for me so I’m going to sleep, I’ll cover it tomorrow. Teaser: I hope you guys are ready for new symbol dailies 🙂
Maple TV, MapleStory X BTS, and KMST ver. 1.2.111 – 64-Bit Client!
This post will be a combination of a few things that happened since my last one. First of all, today, the MapleStory homepage updated with a new splash page for something called Maple TV. It has a countdown that ends next week on December 10 at 4PM KST, so they will probably be showing the Winter update teaser video there! Also, if you look closely at the URL, you can see it says NeoTeaser, so Neo could possibly be the Winter update name.
The second thing is a new collaboration, MapleStory X BTS! For three weeks, starting last week, they will be releasing videos featuring the KPop band BTS.
Finally, today, a new patch was released for KMST. There’s no content but it is actually a really big one because they are now testing a new 64-bit client!
