Improvements and Bug Fixes (Boss Related)

For certain weekly bosses, the additional time given after clearing the boss has been added to the re-entry cooldown time.

You can no longer use chairs while fighting Cygnus.

If you receive a Lucidroid from Lucid, a world message will now be outputted.

Improvements and Bug Fixes (Skill Related)

Fixed an error where if you entered the Auction House after using certain buff skills with cooldowns, the duration would not decrease but the cooldown time would.

Fixed an error where Demon Slayer and Zero’s 5th job skills that used Force/Time Force did not have force consuming borders on the skill icons.

Fixed an error where Aura Weapon could not be cancelled by right clicking on it.

Fixed an error where other characters’ Guided Arrow effect would remain on the map.

Fixed an error where if a Paladin used Holy Unity then used Elemental Force, the linked party member’s buff would apply buff duration increasing effects.

Fixed an error where Archmage (F/P)’s MP Eater’s description did not state that it does not apply on bosses.

Fixed an error where Archmage (F/P)’s DoT Punisher attacked the locations of monsters before they spawned.

Fixed an error where if you received Holy Symbol from a Bishop and then moved away from them, the reduced effectiveness buff icon would sometimes not appear.

Fixed an error where Marksman could not use Critical Reinforce while holding Charged Arrow down.

Fixed an error where Pathfinder’s Ultimate Blast sometimes did not deal damage.

Fixed an error where Adventurer thieves that used Ultimate Dark Sight could acquire dropped items with their pets.

Fixed an error where Shadowers that used a Rune of Transcendence after using Veil of Shadows would not cause Veil of Shadow’s cooldown to be set to 5 seconds.

Fixed an error where Shadower’s Eviscerate did not consume MP.

Fixed an error where if Viper’s Transform ended at the same time as you using the teleport, the client would exit.

Fixed an error where if Cannon Shooter’s ICBM exploded above a certain height, the burning area would not be created.

Fixed an error where if Soul Masters logged out after using Soul Eclipse, sometimes the effect would not disappear.

Fixed an error where Flame Wizard’s Blazing Extinction sometimes did not deal damage.

Fixed an error where Wind Breaker’s Wind Wall’s whirlwinds did not activate with Sentient Arrow.

Fixed an error where if Wind Breaker used Wind Wall and Risktaker Ring then got hit by an attack, the barrier would not disappear but the Risktaker’s Ring’s effect would.

Fixed an error where Phantom’s Joker’s Cross effect did not stack with the Rune of Regeneration’s effect.

Fixed an error where Phantom’s Joker’s Cross effect applied in Will phase 2 and True Hilla’s heal block patterns.

Fixed an error where Phantom’s passive skill Moonlight’s attack bonus did not change based on SP used.

Fixed an error where if Eunwol used Spirit Bond Maximum with the Guardian Spirit then changed maps, the Guardian Spirit’s usable skills’ cooldowns would not apply.

Fixed an error where if Demon classes held the jump key down after jumping, Gliding would automatically activated.

Fixed an error where female Xenon’s Meltdown Explosions would cause certain skill voices to not be heard until the skill ended.

Fixed an error where Kaiser’s Will of Sword would disappear if it was used after there were no monsters on the map.

Fixed an error where Cadena’s Weapon Variety additional attack reactivation cooldown did not apply. (If this significantly affects Cadena’s performance, it will be addressed in the next balance patch)

Angelic Buster’s Power Transfer effect will no longer rotate based on the character’s direction.

Fixed an error where Angelic Buster’s Power Transfer’s duration appeared to be reset after being hit by an attack.

Fixed an error where Angelic Buster’s Spotlight’s attack range was decreased in 1920*1080 resolution.

To reduce the memory load when using Angelic Buster’s Energy Burst, the explosion’s cut-in image’s resolution has been changed.

Fixed an error where Angelic Buster’s Sting Explosion’s icon was different in Battle Statistics than other places.

Fixed an error where Kinesis’ Ever Psychic’s created objects did not apply skill effect transparency.

Fixed an error where Ark’s Returning Hatred did not activate automatically.

Fixed an error where if Zero died, sometimes your Time Force would be continuously consumed.

Fixed an error where if Zero revived after dying, the untagged character’s HP would not be healed.

Improvements and Bug Fixes (Quest/Map)

During and after the Birth of the Alliance quest, the background music has been changed to play normally.

Fixed an error where you could accept the Mechanical Grave weekly quests without completing the story quests.

Fixed an error where if you accepted the Haven Weekly Missions quest before having accepted One Eye’s overall weekly mission quest ever, you would not receive the initial explanation or correct amount of rewards.

Fixed an error where if you accepted the Haven weekly missions quest for the first time and then accepted the overall weekly mission quest, it would not reflect any missions you already completed.

Using Mystic Door or a Return to Nearest Town Scroll in Fairy’s Fountain will now return you to Elluel.

Fixed an error where the Illium quest “Collecting Parts Outside the Town” did not show the number of items required.

Fixed an error where the Kritias weekly quest “Hammer’s Broken Decoration Collection” did not show the correct number of monsters required.

Fixed an error where the Ark quest “Please Be Strong Once More in the Citadel” could not be forfeited. Fixed an error where the Cadena NPC did not appear correctly.

Fixed an error in Black Heaven where you could pass without completing Orca’s memory section correctly.

Fixed an error in Hungry Muto where if you jumped down and reached the bottom of the torrent, you would be moved to the bottom of a platform and continuously fall down.

Fixed an error where parts of Lith Harbor’s background appeared awkwardly.

Improvements and Bug Fixes (Etc)

The Lion King’s Castle Expedition achievement no longer requires you to enter the Tower of Resurrection map. Anyone who has explored the rest of the area can complete the achievement by pressing the Update Achievements button.

Fixed an error where the “Let’s Get This!” achievement did not complete if you used a Chaos Circulator. If it does not complete automatically, you can press the Synchronize Achievements button to complete it.

The Chaos Circulator’s tooltip now states that after being used, the stats will apply immediately. The item functionality has not changed.

The secondary weapons that you can purchase using Evolving Coins will now include the word “Evolving” in their names. Certain secondary weapons sold by Machine-C2 have been removed and replaced with Evolving Coin Shop exclusive items. The specific items are:

• Evolving Infinite Magic Arrows, Evolving Derniere Carte, Evolving Karma Orb, Evolving Ultimate Force Shield, Evolving Octo Core Controller, Evolving Eternal Magnum, Evolving Justice Soul Shield, Evolving True Nova Essence, Evolving Green Soul Ring, Evolving Gold Fox Orb, Evolving Chess Piece the Queen, Evolving Transmitter type:A, Evolving Glory Magic Wings, Evolving Ultimate Path, Evolving Perfect Relic.

Fixed an error where the increased mining speed of the Slender Spanner did not apply fully.

Fixed an error where if a character was on the floor, the reflected character’s eyes and mouth positions were incorrect.

Fixed an error where Alchemists could not use different kinds of elixirs at the same time.

Fixed an error where certain chairs’ chair sizes and the range where monsters could hit you were different.

Fixed an error where if you used Battle Statistics then the game ended and you logged in to another character, the previous character’s stats would appear.

When searching for pets in the Maple Auction, you can now search based on rank (Wonder Black, Luna Sweet, Luna Dream, Luna Petite).

In the Maple Auction, when using advanced search categories for armor and weapons, the default value for base stats, potential, and additional potential will now be 1. The following search possibilities are no longer possible.

• Searching for items with Star Force enhancements with a blank box
• Searching for items with a value but no detailed search option
• Searching for items with base stats, potential, or additional potential with a value of 0

To reduce the load of Maple Auction, the cooldown before you can search again has been changed to 5 seconds.

Non-humanoid Androids can no longer use the Ear Sensor Clip.

The Mu Gongroid’s tooltip will now state that it cannot have its hair or face changed and that its appearance will not change with Cash items equipped. The item functionality has not changed.

After you have been invited to sit on the Papulatus’ Clock Chair, you can no longer accept the request if you move away from the chair.

Fixed an error where Ark’s monster hand or Cash weapon would appear when sitting in chairs or riding mounts that did not show weapons.

Fixed an error where Zeros with Lazuli 8 equipped would have a small dot image appear behind the character in certain actions.

Royal Style Coupon usage has been improved for Zero. If you use a Royal Style Coupon while in Alpha, you will only receive common gender or male items. If you use one while in Beta, you will only receive common gender or female items.

Fixed an error where in set effect tooltips, certain equipment items’ parts were labelled (Equip).

The Special Label sets (Golf set and Hifi Rainbow set)’s set effect will now include the weapon. If you wear more than 5 equips or more of the set, you will receive the Special Label set effect.

Fixed an error in Reboot where the Master Snow and Master Blood packages’ equipment items had a regular Cash item mark instead of the Master Label mark.

Fixed an error where certain Masterpiece related achievements could not be acquired. The 4/25 update will automatically restore any Masterpiece achievements that could not be acquired.

Fixed an error where you could party with other characters in a certain way in content that did not allow you to be in a party.

Certain base class hair names will now state the colour.

Fixed an error where exiting on certain characters would cause an Adventure event related popup to appear.

If you attempt to login with an incorrect secondary password, a pop-up will appear upon successful login. If you were not the one who entered your password incorrectly, you should change your Nexon ID’s password and enable U-OTP if possible.

Fixed an error where the Variety Hair Changer quest checked certain face coupons when used.

The message that appears when purchasing Slot Expansions in the Cash Shop has been changed to be more intuitive.

Fixed an error where the Bbabam Face’s purple and amethyst colours were swapped. At the time of the update, if you had the face and colour on your character or Android, you will receive either an Amethyst or Purple Colour Lens (the opposite of your current colour). You can change your Android’s eye colour at the Android Beauty Manager in Henesys Hair Salon. You will receive as many items as the number of characters/Androids that have the face. You can receive the rewards until May 31.

Certain actions of Cash items have been changed.

• Fixed an error where if the Petite Orca pet had its pet equipment and the Giant skill, the hat would disappear.
• Fixed an error where the Real Face (F), Dragon Master Face (F), Beautiful Face (M), Same as Air Face (M)’s expressions appeared in awkward places.
• Fixed an error where the Arachne weapon’s gun action was awkward.
• The Tropical Penguin pet nametag’s colour has been changed to white to be more visible.
• Fixed an error where the Mercedes female base hair’s image was slightly shifted and the hair shadow was too much.
• Fixed an error where the Filling Hair (M), Free Hair (F) were slightly shifted.
• Fixed an error where the Boy Warrior Hair (M), Perion Hair (M), Nova Hair (F), Ellinia Hair (F)’s shadows were too much.
• Fixed an error where you couldn’t use Quick Move to talk to Big Headward or Plastic Roy in Reboot.

The May Royal Hair Coupon will be available from April 18 to May 22. The Trendy Royal Face Coupon has been updated with a new set of faces.

The Royal Style Coupon will be available from April 25 to May 22.

You can get a variety of items, including the new Bichon set.

Wisp’s Wonderberries have returned and will be on sale from April 25 to May 22. They are basically just Royal Style Coupons except for pets!

If you’re lucky, you can get the new Wonder Black set, the Elemental Spirit pets, including Wreath, Hearth, and Nyx.

You can directly purchase their equipment, Wreath’s Leaves/Hearth’s Flames/Nyx’s Clouds for 7,900 Cash. They have 5 attack/magic attack and 9 slots.

The Wonderberry can also give regular pets such as the Newtro Monster pets, Pixnail, Pixlime, and Pixshroom.

There’s also the Honeybee and Hotdog pets, as well as special food for Wonder pets and the Enriched Premium Water of Life which gives 270 days of magic to a pet.

Along with Wonderberries comes the Luna Crystal! This is the same as the Masterpiece items for Royal Style Coupons, basically you can combine Wonder pets to make new ones that can be higher rank or even Petite rank!

Newtro Mega Burning

The Newtro Mega Burning event will run from April 25 to May 22.

When you create a new character during this event, you can choose to make them a Mega Burning character! Note that you can only do this once per world per Maple ID. (You can burn a Pathfinder now!)

Characters can only become Mega Burning characters when they are created. You cannot change your Mega Burning character but if you delete it, you can make another one.

The main benefit of a Mega Burning character is the ability to gain two extra levels per level up. This effect will take place until level 130!

You’ll also receive the Keep on Burning title which gives 10 all stats, 10 attack/magic attack, 10% boss damage, 10% defence ignore, and 400 HP/MP. The title can only be equipped after reaching level 130 and its stats will expire in 14 days.

At level 100, you’ll receive the Legendary Secret Box which when opened will reward you with 2 Mastery Book 20’s, 2 Mastery Book 30’s, and a full Black set.

At level 30, you’ll receive the Level 30 Equipment Box which is self-explanatory.

Finally, when your Mega Burning character is created, it will receive a Snail pet that has 5 hours of magic. It comes with meso loot, item loot, auto loot, and auto HP/MP. You cannot use the Water of Life on it.

Newtro Honorary Warrior

The Newtro Honorary Warrior event will run from April 25 to June 19.

This is the main part of this event! When you start the quest, you’ll receive the first of the legendary equipment, the Newtro Cape! You’ll also be classified as a 1 Star Warrior.

As you participate in the event, you can collect Newtro Power and use it to increase your rank and gain more of the legendary equipment. To rank up, you must pay a certain number of Newtro Coins to Count Stan in the Newtro Kingdom.

• 1 Star Warrior: no cost (available from April 25)
• 2 Star Warrior: 300 Newtro Coins (available from April 25)
• 3 Star Warrior: 500 Newtro Coins (available from May 9)
• 4 Star Warrior: 700 Newtro Coins (available from May 23)
• 5 Star Warrior: 1000 Newtro Coins (available from June 6)

For each rank you will unseal one of the four legendary pieces of Newtro equipment! When you become a 5 Star Warrior, all four pieces will be automatically upgraded to the Newtro Hero equipment!

The Newtro Odyssey event will run from April 25 to June 19.

Basically, as you participate in the various Newtro Time events, you will progress on 25 various missions. The progress is shared between all characters in the same world.

For each mission you complete (other than the rank up ones), you’ll receive a 100 Newtro Coins Voucher (can be claimed once per world). These will not count towards your daily limit when used!

If you can complete all 25 missions, you’ll receive the Newtro Hero medal (16 all stats, 750 HP/MP, 7 attack/magic attack).

Newtro Roller Rink & Newtro Sauna

The Newtro Roller Rink and Newtro Sauna event will run from April 25 to June 19.

In the Newtro Kingdom, you can find entrances to the Newtro Sauna and Newtro Roller Rink.

In the Newtro Sauna, you can stand in certain places to gain experience or personality traits over time.

For experience, you must be level 105 or higher and you can only gain experience for up to 8 hours per day.

For personality traits, there are 6 different platforms for each trait. You can gain up to 500 points for each trait per day.

In addition, while inside the Newtro Sauna, your Star Forcing will have 0% destruction rate up to 15 stars! This does not apply to Superior equipment and does not apply when going from 15 stars to 16 stars (or higher).

In the Newtro Roller Rink, you can use the Rollerskating Chairs purchased from the Newtro Coin Shop to gain Newtro Power over time. Based on the rank of your chair, you’ll gain more Newtro Power every few seconds.

Demon King Pixrog

The Demon King Pixrog event will run from April 25 to June 19.

To begin, you have to accept the quest from Count Stan. Then, you can enter the portal on the right side of the Newtro Kingdom to fight against the Demon King Pixrog! You can only receive rewards from fighting him once per day per world.

Inside, you’ll have 2 minutes to fight the Demon King Pixrog and his Mini Pixrogs to gain as many points as you can. You’ll also have to avoid the fireballs that stun you if they hit you. As you deal more damage, the Demon King will level up, making it harder and harder to fight.

You can gain up to 1,200 points. If you get that many points or the time limit is up, the fight will end.

Based on your points, you’ll receive Newtro Coins. 10 points will become 1 Newtro Coin (so a maximum of 120 Newtro Coins per day). These coins will not count towards your daily limit of Newtro Power.

You can decide to claim your rewards, try the fight again to increase your score, or leave and return at another time.

Monster Busters

The Monster Busters event will run from April 25 to May 8.

You can talk to Cassandra to receive the Monster Busters skill. This skill will allow you to have a chance to receive 20 Newtro Points whenever you kill a monster in your level range. In addition, when you collect a certain amount of Newtro Power, a Newtro Monster Stage will activate.

This skill cannot be used in maps where there are no monsters in your level range, in level 60 or below theme dungeons, in certain special maps like events or story quest maps, or when you have already reached your daily Newtro Power limit.

When you collect enough Newtro Power, a Newtro Monster Stage will activate after 3 seconds. All other monsters on the map will disappear for the duration of the stage. There are 3 different stages and they will be chosen at random. They’re all sort of nostalgic things from older MapleStory!

The first stage is the Newtro Iron Hog Stage (aka Pig Beach). A bunch of Newtro Ribbon Pigs will spawn as well as a giant Newtro Iron Hog! When you kill a Ribbon Pig, you’ll get a large amount of Newtro Power and experience. However, if you get hit by the Iron Hog, the stage’s time limit will be decreased by 5 seconds.

The second stage is the Newtro Mushmom Stage. A bunch of Newtro Orange Mushrooms will spawn around the map but they cannot be hit by you. In the center of your screen, Newtro Mushmom will appear and do her jump attack 3 times.

Every time she does it, the Orange Mushrooms around the map will be killed and you will receive Newtro Power and experience. If you can time your jump well enough to dodge Mushmom’s jump, you’ll receive 2x the Newtro Power!

The third stage is the Newtro Junior Necki Stage. A bunch of Newtro Junior Neckis will spawn around the map. When you kill a Junior Necki, you’ll get a large amount of Newtro Power and experience. However, these Neckis have very high avoid so it will be a little tough to beat them.

Newtro Warriors

The Newtro Warriors event will run from May 9 to May 22.

You can talk to Cassandra to receive the Newtro Warriors skill. This skill will allow you to have a chance to receive 20 Newtro Points whenever you kill a monster in your level range. In addition, when you collect a certain amount of Newtro Power, you’ll be able to summon Newtro Warriors to help you.

This skill cannot be used in maps where there are no monsters in your level range, in level 60 or below theme dungeons, in certain special maps like events or story quest maps, or when you have already reached your daily Newtro Power limit.

When you have collected a certain amount of Newtro Power, the warriors around you will have a magic circle around them and you’ll have 20 seconds to summon them.

You can reuse the skill to summon the Warriors to your current position. After doing so, you will receive 500 Newtro Power and 100% bonus experience from monsters for 1 minute.

The skill actually has 3 levels. When you first get it, it will be level 1 and you can only summon the beginner magician Fifi. After collecting 20,000 Newtro Power using this skill, it will level up and you can then summon the treasure hunter Lloyd. After collecting 80,000 Newtro Power using this skill, it will level up and you can then summon the brave knight Harrier.

If you look closely, you can see that they use older skills that have since been removed from their classes :^)

Newtro Ola~ Ola~

The Newtro Ola~ Ola~ event will run from April 25 to May 8.

From 10:15 am to 11:45 pm ever day, you’ll receive an invitation on top of your head every XX:15 and XX:45 to enter Newtro Ola Ola!

If you’re new to MapleStory, you might not know but Ola Ola was a game that you could play during GM events way back! This is sort of similar but has different layouts and 5 stages in total.

Based on your ranking, you will be rewarded with Newtro Power! The top 30 players will receive a fixed amount. If you don’t get in the top 30, you’ll receive a certain number of points from a range, based on the number of stages you completed out of 5.

Newtro Bingo

The Newtro Bingo: Double Board Addition event will run from May 9 to May 22.

From 10:15 am to 11:45 pm ever day, you’ll receive an invitation on top of your head every XX:15 and XX:45 to enter Newtro Bingo!

This time, you’ll have two boards, each with their own set of numbers. As Kemdi calls numbers out, you can cross them out on both boards and hope you get Bingo!

If you’re lucky, you can even win twice in the same round if you get Bingo on both. There are 3 rounds in total.

Based on your ranking, you will be rewarded with Newtro Power! The top 30 players will receive a fixed amount. If you don’t get in the top 30, you’ll receive a certain number of points.

Monster Pyramid

The Monster Pyramid event will run from April 25 to June 19.

You can enter this minigame using a portal in the left side of the Newtro Kingdom.

Newtro Pyramid is a 3 player minigame where you must stack up as many of your pieces as possible on a pyramid! There are 5 kinds of monster pieces (7 of each) and 1 special Balrog piece, which will be distributed randomly to all players.

With your 12 pieces, you will take turns placing pieces on the pyramid. However, there are certain limitations.

• To place a monster piece on the pyramid, it must be placed on top of the same monster piece. The first level has no restrictions so you can place any monsters there.
• The special Balrog piece can be placed anywhere without restrictions.
• No other monster pieces can be placed on top of the special Balrog piece.

The goal of the game is to place as many of your pieces as possible! At the end of the round, you’ll receive points based on the number of pieces remaining (less pieces = more points). There will be 3 rounds in total.

Based on your total points at the end of all 3 rounds, you’ll be ranked from 1 to 3 and receive Newtro Power based on it!

Extreme Rush

The Extreme Rush event will run from April 25 to June 19.

You can enter this minigame using a portal in the left side of the Newtro Kingdom.

In Extreme Rush, you’ll ride on a Silver Hog and move from left to right to avoid obstacles to get as far as you can! The further you go, the faster the screen will move.

Based on the total distance you last, you’ll receive Newtro Power.

Wiggly Watchtower

The Wiggly Watchtower event will run from April 25 to June 19.

You can enter this minigame using a portal in the left side of the Newtro Kingdom.

Wiggly Watchtower is a minigame where you are constructing a tower floor by floor! When the next floor lines up with the one below, press Space to lock it in place.

If you can fit them right on top of each other, there will be a special effect and you’ll get more Newtro Power. If you mistime it, the floors will get cut off and get smaller and smaller. Every 10 levels, there will be special flags and you’ll receive additional Newtro Power.

At the end, it will show your total stacked floors, number of perfect successes, and total acquired Newtro Points.

Newtro Battle Reverse

The Newtro Battle Reverse event will run from May 9 to June 19.

You can enter this minigame using a portal in the left side of the Newtro Kingdom.

Battle Reverse is a minigame where you must place your pieces on the board to flip over your opponent’s to knock down their HP. The more pieces you flip, the more damage you’ll deal.

The game will end when one player’s HP hits 0, the time limit runs out, or there are no more possible moves. You’ll gain Newtro Points based on if you won or lost, the damage you dealt, and how long the game lasted.

Fight! Return of the Legends: Star Hustle

The Fight! Return of the Legends: Star Hustle event will run from April 25 to May 22.

To enter, you can accept the quest from Knight Kemdi and then talk to Mr. Complement to queue up.

You can then choose the Avatar you want to play as, there’s now 9 in total. In game, you’ll get new skills, attack, and maximum HP/MP as you level up. You can enhance your Cores to increase your critical rate, attack, maximum HP/MP, attack speed/movement speed/jump, and HP/MP healing rate.

The actual gameplay is a little bit different this time. Instead of being a 3v3 mode where you must level up and prepare yourself for the final battle at the end, this time the game is 1v1v1v1. Everyone for themselves!

You can also change your Avatar at any time by talking to the Avatar Changer NPC. In addition, there are portals that lead to other parts of the map. You can use them every 20 seconds.

The goal is now to collect as many Star Beads as possible. They will spawn randomly and you will automatically receive points as well as heal some of your HP and MP when you collect them.

When an enemy is defeated, they will drop a certain number of their Star Beads which you can collect. The number of Star Beads each player has will be shown on their heads.

At the end of the game, based on the number of points each player collected, they will be ranked from 1st to 4th. Based on your rank, you’ll receive a certain number of Newtro Power.

Lady Blair’s Dream Express

The Lady Blair’s Dream Express event will run from April 25 to April 30. Basically, it’s a Cash transfer event! During this period, you can transfer any of your Cash Shop items to any other character in the same world, regardless of class.

Sunday Maple

The Sunday Maple event will take place on April 28, May 5, May 12, and May 19.

On April 28, the following benefits will take place:

• 2x experience all day
• 30% discount on Star Force enhancement costs
• 50% discount on Spell Trace costs
• 50% discount on Ability reset costs

On May 5, the following benefits will take place:
