The Sage’s Treasure: Chungong’s Sword event will run from July 23 to August 19.

Chungong's Sword Skill

You can talk to Sogong in Mu Lung Dojo Awakening Mountain or through the event icon to receive the Chungong’s Sword skill. It is a sword that you can fill with energy to unleash brilliant swordplay.

Sword Energy and Coins

When you enter a map with monsters around your level, the skill will automatically activate. When you kill monsters around your level, you’ll have a chance to acquire Sword Energy. When you acquire Sword Energy, the monster will also drop 1 Awake Coin.

Training Dummy and Swordsmanship

After acquiring 10 Sword Energy, a giant training dummy will appear on the map. When you defeat it, it will drop 10 Awake Coins.

After defeating the training dummy two times and acquiring 10 more Sword Energy, instead of it appearing a 3rd time, Chungong’s Swordsmanship will begin.

Chungong’s Swordsmanship will activate one of three powerful sword slashes, and based on the type of sword, 10/20/30 Awake Coins will be dropped.

Level 2 Chungong's Sword

After completing the training for Chungong’s Scroll – Ch.2, the Chungong’s Sword skill will be upgraded to level 2. The swordsmanship can then drop 20/40/60 Awake Coins.

If you leave the map while Chungong’s Swordsmanship is activating, it will be cancelled. If you reach your daily limit of Awakening Coins, the Chungong’s Sword skill will be deactivated.

The patch notes don’t specify if its an event or not so I’m not sure..

  2. July 23, 2020 at 3:03 am

The giant training dummy drops 10 coins when you defeat it instead of 5. Probably adjusted upwards from KMST?

    Thank you Max!

Eventually, Nexon nerfed BaM. 60 sec -> 35 sec. That really hurt.

It went from 100s to 35s*. Cooldown is still 200s and final damage of the skill is lowered by 70%. Got fucked like always

The only part I fail to get is Sharen IV, was he the WM all this time? Did the ending happen before or after he broke free of the Seal Stones?

        • Max
          July 23, 2020 at 4:54 pm

I don’t think its very clear. I think it makes more sense that the White Mage just saw the situation afterwards (while they were in the loop) and decided to take advantage of it by pretending to be Sharen IV near the end. Although it is also possible he could’ve planned the entire thing because he could see the past/present/future.
Timeline wise it’s also unclear, the only thing we know for sure is that this is before the adversary was created (in Black Heaven) and before the Rhinne/Will/Zero situation happened since he got the idea for the Mirror World from Ergoth.

aw, they didn’t change bishop’s new spell. it’s supposed to be a burst, and it’s great that they gave bishop something that the class severely lacked, but it doesn’t do much more damage than just spamming the usual 4th job sadly

Is the translation for the BaM skill correct?, how comes damage gets nerfed when you use the same skill?, doesn’t make much sense

      July 28, 2020 at 1:14 pm

If you use a portal, it will create Abyssal Lightning that deals full damage between you and the portal. If you use Dark Teleport, it will create Abyssal Lightning that deals 70% of that damage.
