KMST ver. 1.2.138 – New Boss, Level 250 Equipment & More Balancing!
A week before the official server patch, the test world has been updated with the new boss Watcher Kalos and its area of The Tower That Never Stops, Karotte as well as the new level 250 Ethernel equipment and more job balancing!
Unfortunately, Karotte is not a new level 275 area, it is only a small storyline addition to Hotel Arcs at level 270 and it does not have a new Authentic Symbol or any new monster maps. But it does tease the next area in Grandis, which will be called Odium!
Will be adding in the last few error fixes at a later time since I’m busy playing Lost Ark :^)

Watcher Kalos
General Information
At the end of the Tower that Never Stops, Karotte, encounter the Watcher Kalos. Defeat the powerful Kalos and test your strength!
- Participants: Characters level 270 or higher who have completed the 5th job advancement and the ‘[Karotte] Watcher, Kalos’ quest.
- How to Participate: Karotte: Enter through the Skycraper’s Gate.
The Watcher Kalos has two phases. Phase 1 is level 275 with 330% defense and requires 250 Authentic Force. Phase 2 is level 280 with 380% defense and requires 300 Authentic Force.
There is currently one difficulty, Chaos Mode. Kalos can be entered 1 time per day and can be cleared 1 time per week.

Watcher’s Roar: Consumes 200 Soul. Deals 1000%/1200% damage 4 times on up to 15 enemies. Cooldown: 30 seconds.
Trespasser Block: Consumes 250 Soul. Summon Kalos for 120 seconds, dealing 1800%/2200% damage. Cooldown: 150 seconds.

Ethernel Equipment
The Ethernel equipment has been added. The items are level 250 and are untradeable upon being equipped (can be traded with the Platinum Karma Scissors).
The hat gives 80 main/sub stat, 10 attack/magic attack, and 15% defense ignore with 11 slots. The top/bottom give 50 main/sub stat, 6 attack/magic attack, and 5% defense ignore with 7 slots.

The Ethernel equipment can be obtained by defeating the Watcher Kalos, collecting 10 ‘Remains of Kalos’ Will’, and using them to choose one of the hat/top/bottom items.
The Ethernel set has the following set effects. In this update, the set consists of 4 pieces (weapon, hat, top, and bottom) and includes the Genesis Weapon.
- 2-Set: 2500 HP/MP, 40 attack/magic attack, 10% boss damage
- 3-Set: 50 all stats, 40 attack/magic attack, 600 defense, 10% boss damage
- 4-Set: 15% maximum HP/MP, 40 attack/magic attack, 10% boss damage
Developer Notes:
As mentioned in the DESTINY Live Talk, we have added the Ethernel equipment’s hat, top, and bottom which can be acquired from Kalos. In addition, to make the provision of the equipment faster than the cycle we talked about before, Kalos will drop the ‘Remains of Kalos’ Will’ at a 100% rate as individual rewards, and after you collect 10 of them, you can trade them in for one of the Ethernel hat/top/bottom items.
The set effects for the parts that can be acquired in this update have been added up to 4, and the set effects for 5 and more parts will be added when new pieces of the set are added.
Also, considering that when changing from the Root Abyss set to the Ethernel set, players could no longer receive the ‘10% maximum HP/MP’ from the 3-set effect of the Root Abyss set, we have moved the ‘15% maximum HP/MP’ stat from the previous 6-set effect of Ethernel to the 4-set effect.

Developer Notes:
As mentioned in the previous Adventurer Remaster update, we have made additional numerical adjustments and structural/error fixes for most jobs based on the data we looked at after the update.
Certain remastered Adventurers’ skills became much more effective than we intended and we inevitably had to slightly nerf them. Since the range of changes was so big, we will continue to adjust the Adventurer jobs more quickly than other jobs for a while. We ask for your understanding.
For the remaining jobs, we made additional combat performance buffs and structural adjustments. The numerical changes were set to a maximum of around 10%.
As mentioned in previous Developer Notes, combat performance adjustment work will be carried out steadily and continuously with the adjustment range being set as conservatively as possible to prevent sudden changes.
We hope that these skill improvements will give players a more enjoyable combat experience than before, we will do our best to show a more complete look.
Hero
Weapon Acceleration: The STR boost has been increased from 10 to 20.
Paladin
Blessing Armor: The skill will no longer be affected by skill effect transparency.
Dark Knight
Reincarnation: The skill will no longer be affected by skill effect transparency while Reincarnation is active.
Beholder’s Revenge: The damage has been increased from 182% to 255%.
Dark Resonance: The boss damage boost has been increased from 10% to 15%.
Beholder Impact: The damage has been increased from 125% to 235% (at level 25).
Adventurer Magicians
Infinity: The skill will no longer be affected by skill effect transparency while Infinity is active.
Unstable Memorize: The cooldown has been decreased from 360 seconds to 355 seconds (at level 25). The rates and percentages of the cooldown reduction have been changed. When you use Unstable Memorize but fail to use the activated skill, Unstable Memorize’s cooldown will now be reset.

Memory Choice: When Memory Choice is activated and you use the number keys to select a skill, continuous input of the number keys will now be ignored for a short period of time.
Developer Notes:
In the previous Adventurer Remaster update, Unstable Memorize was changed to activate a fixed skill and have its cooldown decreased based on a certain rate. This was done to remove the negative experiences when an unwanted skill was selected, and to improve the structural problem where you had to input the skill frequently even in complex combat situations.
We achieved our goals above through the structural changes. However, in this process, the difficulty of maintaining Infinity became much lower than before, and as a result, Adventurer magicians’ overall combat performance became excessively higher than we intended.
Therefore, in this update, we have slightly lowered Unstable Memorize’s performance. We ask for your understanding.
Separately, since Unstable Memorize’s cooldown became longer and the risk of skill failure increased, we have added a feature to Unstable Memorize that resets its cooldown if it is failed to be used due to things like attacks from boss monsters, to improve the experience of using the skill.
Since the range of changes in the previous Remaster update wa very big, we will continue to monitor for a while and continuously make changes to ensure proper combat performance.
Archmage (F/P)
Megiddo Flame: The skill has been changed so that the monster with the highest maximum HP is prioritized only when it is a boss monster. Monsters that are invincible or cannot be hit will no longer be tracked.
DoT Punisher: Monsters that are invincible or cannot be hit will no longer be tracked.
Archmage (I/L)
Chain Lightning: When Chain Lightning hits an enemy, the delay for the damage skin being outputted has been changed to be faster.
Ice Aura: The sound effect while Ice Aura is active has been removed.
Bishop
Holy Fountain: This skill will no longer be affected by your own and other characters’ skill effect transparency. The duration will now be displayed as a buff icon.
Fountain for Angels: The duration will now be displayed as a buff icon.
Angel Ray: Fixed an issue where Angel Ray could hit certain monsters that could not be hit by attacking skills.
Big Bang: This skill now deals 50% increased damage on regular monsters.
Holy Blood: The skill description has been changed to be more accurate. After this skill is used, it can no longer be cancelled for 1 second even if the skill is re-used.
Bowmaster
- The 2nd job skills’ UI display order has been changed.
Marksman
- The skill descriptions have beenc hanged to be more accurate overall.
Sniping: The damage has been increased from 465% to 480%.
Enhanced Sniping: The damage has been increased from 510% to 535%. The damage of the additional hit activated when Sniping hits a marked enemy has been increased from 250% to 320%. The additional hit will now be affected by Additional Bolt and Sniping – Bonus Attack.
Repeating Crossbow Cartridge: Full Burst Shot will now prioritize hitting the boss monster with the highest maximum HP if there is a boss monster within range. Full Burst Shot’s firing location has been slightly changed. Full Burst Shot’s damage has been increased from 600% to 750% (at level 25).
Pathfinder
Ancient Bow Booster has been changed to Ancient Bow Acceleration.
Night Lord
Shadow Leap: The distance moved when used on the ground has been decreased.
Triple Throw/Quadruple Throw: The skill descriptions have been changed to be more accurate.
Developer Notes:
In the previous Adventurer Remaster, we added the up-jump skill Shadow Leap to Night Lords.
For Night Lords, they had Shadow Web for upwards mobility and it could be linked with Flash Jump after it was used. To keep this experience, we made it so that Shadow Leap could also be linked with Flash Jump.
However, in the process of adding Shadow Leap, the upwards movement distance was significantly higher than before, and with the addition of being able to link it with Flash Jump, their mobility increased excessively when compared to before the Remaster.
Therefore, we would like to adjust their mobility by slightly decreasing the upwards movement distance while maintaining the characteristic of being able to link it with Flash Jump.
Shadower
Cruel Stab: The lower range has been increased by about 27%.
Meso Explosion – Enhance: The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
Dual Blade
- The 2nd job skills’ UI display order has been changed.
Viper
Guard Crush: This skill now increases final damage by 10%.
Serpent Spirit: The maximum number of stacks of Sea Serpent’s Wills has been decreased from 5 to 3.
Howling Fist: The punch’s number of hits has been increased from 10 to 14.
Captain
- The 2nd job skills’ UI display order has been changed.
Assemble Crew: The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
Headshot: The damage has been decreased from 1185% to 980%.
Pirate Style: The stance boost has been changed to a passive effect. The reduced evasion rate will now be displayed more accurately.
Bullet Party: The damage has been increased from 455% to 500% (at level 25).
Developer Notes:
In the previous Adventurer Remaster, we tried to increase Captain’s combat stability in more recent dynamic boss battles by reducing the dependency and uncertainty of summons and increasing the damage of their own skills. Various changes were made in line with this goal, and among them, Headshot’s damage was significantly increased.
As a result, using Headshot unintentionally became more effective than using 5th job skills and Captain’s combat performance also increased excessively higher than we intended.
Therefore, in this update, we have made some adjustments to Headshot and Bullet Party’s damage. We apologize for not taking a closer look at the changes in combat performance beforehand.
Cannon Shooter
- The 2nd job skills’ UI display order has been changed.
Mini Cannonball: The damage has been increased from 180% to 360%.
Oak Barrel Roulette: The passive critical damage boost has been increased from 5% to 10%.
Pool Maker: The skill has been improved so that the search range for attackable enemies is now affected by the direction the character is facing.
Flame Wizard
Blazing Extinction: The number of hits has been increased from 3 to 4.
Blazing Orbital Flame: The damage has been increased from 655% to 850% (at level 25).
Flame Discharge: The Flame Fox’s foxfire monster tracking time has been increased from 2 seconds to 5 seconds. The Flame Fox’s foxfire will now prioritize the boss monster with the highest maximum HP.
Wind Breaker
Bow Mastery: This skill now increases final damage by 10%.
Mikhail
Soul Assault: The damage has been increased from 242% to 285%.
Aran
Polearm Booster has been changed to Polearm Acceleration.
Snow Charge: This skill has been changed to an On/Off skill.
Boost End – Hunter’s Targeting: If you change directions while charging Boost End – Hunter’s Targeting and there are no monsters with higher maximum HP than the originally targeted monster or there are no targetable monsters in the changd direction, you will now rush to the first targeted monster.
Luminous
Morning Starfall: This skill now passively increases damage to boss monsters by 15%.
Magic Mastery: The critical damage boost has been increased from 15% to 18%.
Liberation Orb: The active magic sphere’s damage boost per excess magic power has been increased from 95%p to 115%p (at level 25).
Phantom
Cane Expert: The final damage boost has been increased from 25% to 32%.
Joker: The cooldown has been increased from 150 seconds to 180 seconds. The cards’ damage has been increased from 460% to 700% (at level 25).
Eunwol
Advanced Knuckle Mastery: The final damage boost has been increased from 10% to 16%.
Fox Spirits: This skill will now prioritize hitting the boss monster with the highest maximum HP.
Demon Slayer
Demon Trace: This skill can now be used by combining it with two arrow keys. When used with two arrow keys, you will search for a target to move to in that direction.
Battle Mage
Abyssal Lightning: This skill’s effects will no longer appear in story cutscenes.
Blaster
Revolving Cannon Upgrade III: Release Pile Bunker’s damage boost has been increased from 120%p to 160%p. Release Pile Bunker’s damage boost when used with 6 or more bullets in the Cylinder Gauge has been increased from 150%p to 200%p. Shockwave A’s damage boost has been increased from 170%p to 225%p. Shockwave B’s damage boost has been increased from 130%p to 185%p. Shockwave C’s damage boost has been increased from 90%p to 155%p. Shockwave D’s damage boost has been increased from 320%p to 400%p.
Bunker Buster: The special bullet’s damage has been increased from 355% to 400%.
Kaiser
Giga Slasher: The damage has been increased from 330% to 360%.
Advanced Will of Swords: The damage has been increased from 400% to 450%.
Draco Slasher: Draco Slasher and the Dragon Energy’s damage has been increased from 625% to 700% (at level 25).
Dragon Blaze: The Fire Energy and the explosions around Kaiser’s damage has been increased from 750% to 950%. The number of hits has been increased from 5 to 6. The flame’s damage has been increased from 500% to 750% (at level 25).
Cadena
Quick Service Mind II: The critical damage boost has been increased from 5% to 10%.
Weapon Expert: The critical damage boost has been increased from 15% to 18%.
Angelic Buster
Lyrical Cross: This skill has been changed to a passive skill.
Iron Lotus: This skill has been changed to a passive skill. The effects are now fixed regardless of Power Transfer. This skill now increases DEX by 20.
Trinity: Trinity’s 1st hit action delay when it is not linked has been changed to be the same as when it is linked.
Zero
Long Sword Mastery: The final damage boost has been increased from 10% to 16%.
Limit Break: The buff will now be protected by Buff Freezers.
Illium
Crystal Skill: Glory Wings: The skill description has been changed to be more accurate. You can now re-input the skill key to cancel Glory Wings. You cannot cancel Glory Wings for 1 second after casting it even if the skill key is inputted.
Lara
Dragon Vein Absorption: Absorption: River Puddle Drench’s damage has been increased from 550% to 590%. Absorption: Desolate Wind’s damage has been increased from 237% to 255%. Absorption: Sunlight Sprout’s damage has been increased from 220% to 230%.
Nature Master: Swelling River’s damage boost has been increased from 295%p to 325%p. Swelling River’s enhanced swell’s damage has been increased from 638% to 680%. Whirlwind’s damage boost has been increased from 218%p to 232%p. Sunrise Well’s giant’s damage boost has been increased from 337%p to 365%p. Sunrise Well’s lava damage boost has been increased from 190%p to 205%p. Sunrise Well’s volcanic bomb’s damage boost has been increased from 233%p to 250%p.
Best Friends: Spirit Sprinkle’s damage has been increased from 306% to 340%.
Intensive Geomancy: Mountain Kids’ damage boost has been increased from 179%p to 208%p, the damage boost when attacking boss monsters has been increased from 222%p to 260%p. Mountain Seeds’ damage boost has been increased from 230%p to 265%p.
Large Stretch: The intangible energy’s damage has been increased from 1000% to 1200% (at level 25).
Surging Spirits: The damage has been increased from 850% to 1020%.
Sun River Mountain Wind: The Land Spirit’s attack’s damage has been increased from 1400% to 1680%. The explosion’s damage has been increased from 1700% to 2040% (at level 25).
Winding Ridges: The damage has been increased from 500% to 600% (at level 25).
Hoyoung
Out of Sight: The skill has been improved so that Hoyoung’s skills that do not have an attack feature (except for common skills) will no longer cancel Dark Sight.

The ‘Stone Colossus Rescue Operation 4’ quest’s guided location has been changed to be more accurate.
Items
You can now drop the Adventurer’s Book.
Text has been added to the Tenebris Expedition Ring and Awake Ring that state only special scrolls can be used on them.
To prevent the misuse of items, double-clicking any consumable items in bags will now move them from the bag to your inventory.
You can no longer craft, combine, or disassemble items while trade restricted.
Fixed an issue where the Highness Warrior Helm item looked awkward from behind the character.
It has been improved so that when you have a two-handed weapon and certain other game weapons equipped, you can now choose to change your Cash weapon’s motions to the one-handed weapon motions. The option is at the bottom left of the equipment window > Cash tab. You can also preview Cash weapons’ one-handed weapon motions in the Cash Shop’s preview window.
- Affected Game Weapons: Two-handed sword, two-handed axe, two-handed blunt weapon, spear, polearm, crossbow, gun.
- Affected Cash Weapons: Cash weapons that can be equipped over all weapons, Cash weapons that can also be equipped over one-handed swords (e.g. Singing Violin).
- Actions that Apply One-Handed Weapon Motions: Standing, walking, jumping, taking a breath.
Developer Notes:
Since Cash weapons can already be equipped over various game weapons, it is possible to provide the option to view one-handed weapon motions for them.
Cash weapons include all sold Cash weapons as well as those given through events such as the Fairy Wonky’s Glowing Leaf. You can choose the one-handed weapon view option if you have a two-handed sword, two-handed axe, two-handed blunt weapon, spear, polearm, crossbow, or gun equipped with a Cash weapon that can be equipped over all weapons or on one-handed swords.
We tried to implement the requests from players who wanted their weapons to not cover their characters as much as possible, but we ask for your understanding that it would be difficult to apply a full conversion to one-handed weapon motions as the game weapons are currently only able to operate with set motions.
Maps
It has been improved so that you can use the Maple Gate and Friends Gate in ‘Hideout/Headquarters’ and ‘East Forest/Magician Association’ by clicking on them.
UI
When connecting to a web browser while playing the game, it has been changed to open the default browser instead of Internet Explorer.
You can now remove skills from Pet Auto Buff even when it is deactivated.
If you enter an incorrect answer more than 3 times in the Meso Market’s lie detector, you will now be moved to the Room of Truth.
Error Fixes
Skills
Fixed an issue where if you activated a Decent skill equipped as a V Core while riding a mount, the HP would change abnormally.
Fixed an issue where if you re-used certain buff skills just before the y ended, the buff icons would flicker continuously.
Fixed an issue where Pirate Bless (Captain) and Pirate Bless (Viper)’s skil descriptions were awkward.
Fixed an issue where throwing stars and bullet’s actual applied attack was displayed incorrectly in the character stat window.
Fixed an issue with Guided Arrow where if you died while it was active, it would continue to be outputted to other characters.
Fixed an issue where if a character using Guided Arrow entered a map with another character, Guided Arrow would not be outputted to the other character.
Fixed an issue with certain archer jobs where even after learning Soul Arrow, the Rune of Giant’s attacks would still consume arrows.
Hero
- Fixed an issue where sometimes using Flash Slash would make you fall below a platform.
- Fixed an issue where using Flash Slash would not move you in certain terrain.
- Fixed an issue where skill effect transparency did not apply to Combo Attack.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes you could use Aura Blade continuously.
- Fixed an issue where Incising’s skill description was incorrect.
- Fixed an issue where Combo Instinct and Combo Death Fault’s final damage boosts applied different based on the cast order.
Paladin
- Fixed an issue where if Paladin ended Holy Unity, bonded party members’ receieved buff effects were not cancelled immediately.
Dark Knight
- Fixed an issue where Beholder’s Buff icon was duplicated.
- Fixed an issue where Beholder Shock could be used multiple times.
- When Reincarnation activates while petrified or bound by Demian, the status effects will now be removed.
Archmage (F/P)
- Fixed an issue where if you entered Pollo and Fritto’s Bounty Hunting while Poison Region was used, Poison Region’s poison areas would be created in the map you moved to.
- Fixed an issue where Poison Region’s skill effect was not visible to other players sometimes.
Archmage (I/L)
- Fixed an issue where sometimes if you used Thunder Sphere continuously, it would not be installed normally.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes Thunder Sphere’s skill effect was not visible to other players.
- Fixed an issue where Elemental Adapting (I/L)’s skill description was incorrect.
- Fixed an issue where if you changed maps after receiving the buff from Ice Aura’s vortex, the buff would not be removed.
Bishop
- Fixed an issue where Holy Fountain would appear in front of characters if you installed it, changed maps, then returned to the map.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes Fountain for Angels’ skill effect was not visible to other players.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes the wrong name would be displayed on Mystic Door.
- Fixed an issue where Vengeance of Angels had a longer cooldown that displayed.
- Fixed an issue where Vengeance of Angel’s attack elemental reduction effect was different based on if the skill was activated or not.
- Fixed an issue where if you entered Fritto’s Bounty Hunting while Vengeance of Angels was activated, it would be deactivated.
Bowmaster
- Fixed an issue where sometimes Androids and pets’ movement speed was lower when using Retreat Shot.
- Fixed an issue where in Erda Spectrum, sometimes Arrow Platter’s arrows would not fire.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes Quiver Full Burst and Afterimage Shot would not activate when changing maps.
Marksman
- Fixed an issue where sometimes Androids and pets’ movement speed was lower when using Retreat Shot.

- Fixed an issue where you could continue to use Teleport without a delay after Rapid Leap in certain maps.
Wild Hunter
- Fixed an issue where Triple Jump could be used even when not riding a Jaguar.
- Fixed an issue where Wild Hunter’s Jaguar in the Union Raid was different from their actual Jaguar.
Mechanic
- Mechanic Dash will no longer activate special cores.

Angelic Buster
- Fixed an issue where Soul Seeker sometimes did not attack the boss monster with the highest maximum HP.
Zero
- Fixed an error where Zero’s Critical Bind’s bind effect duration did not apply correctly in certain situations. The skill description has been changed to be more accurate.
Developer Notes:
In the January 27 update, we changed it so that if Critical Bind was used on an enemy that was already bound, Critical Bind’s bind effect would be added to the existing bind effect and be applied.
However, in the last update notice, there wasn’t enough detail for our improvement work so it was confusing to understand if the maximum time would be guaranteed when using Critical Bind.
First of all, there is a condition that Critical Bind’s bind effect is applied only when the remaining duration of the regular bind is less than 2 seconds (half of Critical Bind’s bind duration). Critical Bind is usually used after mainitaining other bind effects for as long as possible to maximize its effectiveness, so this condition did not have a significant effect.
In the January 27 update, while maintaining the above condition, we changed it so that if the remaining bind effect was shorter than 2 seconds, then Critical Bind would be applied with a duration of 4 seconds no matter when it was used.
For example, if a normal bind effect with a duration of 10 seconds was applied and Critical Bind was used after 9 seconds passed, previously the original effect was 9 seconds plus Critical Bind’s effect of 4 seconds for a total bind of only 13 seconds. After the change, after the full 10 second duration, Critical Bind’s effect of 4 seconds would be added for a total bind of 14 seconds.
However, during this change, we discovered an additional error and fixed it where if Critical Bind was used when the remaining bind duration was exactly 2 seconds, it would not add those 2 extra seconds.
We sincerely apologize for not being able to fully explain these details, and we have also changed the skill description to be more accurate.

- Fixed an issue with Sage Teachings: Dream Garden where in certain actions, Cash items and hair colour were outputted awkwardly or not changed to black and white.
Monsters
Fixed an issue in Demian where if you used a skill with an invincibility effect on top of where the Sword of Destruction was planted, its damage would be applied again after the skill ended.
Fixed an issue in Guardian Angel Slime where if you died while activating Mascot Slime’s Help, the sound effect would be played continuously.
Fixed an issue in Chosen Seren where during the Mitra’s Power pattern, the damage of the previously used attack would be applied.
Fixed a problem in certain bosses where DoT did not decrease the real boss monster’s HP.

Fixed an issue with Illium’s ‘The Ancient God’s Sanctuary is in… Ariant?’ quest where it would not be completed and you could not complete ‘The Ancient God’s Sanctuary is in… Von Leon’s Castle?’ quest.
Fixed an issue with the ‘Finding Another Dimension’ quest where part of the dialogue overlapped with Catalion’s image.
Fixed an issue with the ‘Real Pearl Collection 2’ where after completing it, ‘Kia’s Request’ was listed as ‘Kizan’s Request’.
Fixed an issue with the ‘Ephinia’s Request 1’ where it would request you to beat the wrong monster.
Fixed an issue with the ‘Cleaning Robot Caoong’ quest where Doctor Porter’s dialogue would mention the boss queue.
Fixed an issue with the ‘Get the Blueprints’ quest where even after completing it, the message <If you cannot proceed, forfeit the quest and accept it again.> would be displayed.
Fixed an issue with the ‘Who Will be Swallowed’ quest where if you had the Silhouette When Atacking option checked, the silhouette was strange when attacking the Abyss monster.

Fixed an error where certain general shops in areas below level 200 did not sell the Sprout Potion.

Yep they started actually releasing the full storylines in KMST this winter so it’s all out there. I haven’t done it myself but I’ve read a bit about it and its definitely super interesting (related to the Realm of Sages mentioned in other Grandis areas and jobs, the origins of the Angler Company, what lies ahead for the Adversary, etc)!!
