KMS ver. 1.2.382 – Minar Autumn Picnic!
This year’s Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) update is the Minar Autumn Picnic event, which has a lot of nice rewards and benefits. They even surprise announced both Miracle Time and Shining Star Force yesterday, which is I think our first time ever having them off-season from the winter/summer updates! The patch also contains the improvements to the profession system and some story-related changes/additions.

This patch contains the new upgrade method for Seed Rings, lots of Grandis map improvements, and some other changes. It has the New Name Auction event that lets you buy and sell character names, and a new premium track for Fairy Bros’ Golden Chariot. There’s also a collaboration with DJMAX RESPECT V, a rhythm game!

The third and final patch of the MapleStory New Age update has been released! It features the new level 285 area, the Cradle of Life, Carcion, as well as new boss difficulties for Kalos and Kaling, and other boss/game improvements.

The second and main patch of the MapleStory New Age update, 6th job, has been released! Together with the new job advancement’s Hexa Skills and Stats come a new high-level area Arteria, and other game improvements. Also there was a minor patch today that made a really huge (temporary) change to grinding in Grandis!
In other news, I saw the post on Reddit about me and I just wanted to say that I’m so grateful to everyone for the support, I really do appreciate it!! It was very nice to read all the kind messages 🙂 But also, guys, I can afford a new keyboard, you don’t need to donate to me for that LOL. I just mentioned it in the last post because I knew there were gonna be a lot of mistakes/typos.
However, there were a lot of new Patreon subscribers which is amazing so I used the money to upgrade the site’s WordPress subscription to have more storage, which is why this post includes the 30MB movies for every class. (Note: I used APNG format since it looks a LOT better than GIFs, but they only work in browser when you click on them and open them in a new tab) We’ll see how long this lasts before I have to go back to Imgur…

A week after the test world update, Director Kang Wongki and Planning Team Leader Kim Changseop did a livestream talking about the 6th job update, feedback they’ve received, and the things they’re working on. They apologized probably no less than 20 times (and Changseop even apologized for apologizing so much lol) but it did seem like a pretty sincere discussion about the shortcomings of the patch.
I expected this to be a short post of bullet points but I actually really enjoyed watching the stream so I ended up writing a lot more lol. Changseop in particular was very honest about the mistakes they made, their reasoning and intentions, their goals, and they are clearly taking into account the players’ point of view now. Obviously I can’t translate it 100% but I tried to include as much detail as possible for the most interesting notes.
