Letter From Director Won-ki About MapleStory’s Probability Systems
The director of KMS, Kang Won-ki has posted a notice on the official MapleStory homepage addressing a new controversy related to the change in additional options rates in the test server update yesterday.
Since many users previously thought there was something weird about certain lines appearing together, they mentioned it to Nexon who previously said the system was working as intended. However, this was revealed to be incorrect given the changes made yesterday. This letter was made in response to that and provides detailed information about some of the probability systems in MapleStory.
KMST ver. 1.2.117 – Job Balancing!
The first patch after the MapleStory NEO update will be for job balancing! There’s also a few events but let’s be real, no one cares about that after reading ‘job balancing’.
KMS ver. 1.2.343 – MapleStory NEO: Hotel Arcs!
The third and final patch of the MapleStory NEO update has been released. It contains the new level 270+ area, Hotel Arcs, as well as a new boss, Chosen Seren!

The new test server patch contains the new level 270 area, Hotel Arcs! It also features the newest boss, the Chosen Seren!
KMS ver. 1.2.342 – MapleStory NEO: Chaser of Darkness, Kain!
The second patch of the winter update, MapleStory NEO, has been released. It includes the new Nova archer job, the Chaser of Darkness, Kain! By the way, it’s pronounced like “fine” but with a ‘k’ at the beginning instead of the ‘f’, not “cane”!!
