        December 16, 2016 at 5:12 am

        Damage 167% -> 285%
        Number of hits 9 -> 5
        Total damage 1503% -> 1425%

However, if u include the +1 hit from hypers, it is actually a buff

        Total damage 1670% -> 1710%

          December 16, 2016 at 5:24 am

the difference is tiny though, if you include the 20% from reinforce, total damage only increases by 60%….

For Eunwol’s Ghost Disposition, are you sure it’s 5% def ignore per stack from the debuff? Because when I watched some videos about the skill, the damage increased roughly by 50% when straw dummy had max debuff stacks.

How does the elemental charges work for Paladin now? I heard the buff duration is like 30 seconds so that mean we now must charge it up every 30 seconds as opposed to 2 minutes before when we had only the blast buff?

    • Max
      December 17, 2016 at 1:10 am

Blast buff has been removed, the stats are now passives from Paladin Expert. Blast now takes the elemental attribute of the last used Charge skill. Elemental Charge buff has a duration of 30 seconds now so you have to keep that up now.

What is up with Arans 2nd 5th job skill? First they make it so that you can only use his 1st 5th job skill during his hyper, 2nd they make it so his 2nd 5th job skill can only be used during his 1st 5th job skill. His first 5th job skill already shoots him in the foot since he can’t use his hyper, now there is this big ass constraint on his 2nd one 2?
I think Nexon hates their OG Hero. ._.

    • Max
      December 17, 2016 at 1:12 am

TBH I did laugh out loud when I was translating it. But I think their idea is that Aran is a combo class so you ‘combo’ Maha’s Domain -> Install Maha when its almost done + Brandish Maha.

Kinda dorky of me to say this, but The Freud’s blessing (shown through the skill animation) is pretty interesting since it provides specific latin phrases to each heroes. Feel free to correct me if either my color scheme matching skills or my interpretation was wrong.
For Aran (yellow color): “semper te recorder”- meaning “always remember” since Aran’s curse was her loss of memory prior to the heroes’ battle with the Black Mage.
For Mercedes (green color): “Vires aquirit eundo” meaning “she gathers strength as she goes” probably because Mercedes throughout her story quests kept doubting her abilities and confidence to continue fighting and protecting as the queen of Elluel.
For Luminous (Light blue color): “magnum vis est magnum officium” – “great powers come with great responsibility” this definitely links with Luminous’ inheritance of the Black Mage’s dark powers. Freud is probably telling him to not go semi-insane with his new abilities.
For Phantom (Dark Blue Color): “dum vita est spes est” – “while there is life, there is hope” I think this has to do with Phantom’s quest for vengeance after his lover, Aria, died or something? Probably telling him to appreciate life as there
For Shade (Purple Color): “nil desperandum” – “never fall into despair” let’s face it… his story quest is pretty saddening since his companions all forgot about him (maybe until the heroes blockbuster) and that every time he travels through dimensions, his new and companions forget about him again.
For Evan (Red Color): ” Faber est suae quisque fortunae” – “Every man is the artisan of his own fortune” I’m not sure about the connection with Evan, but Freud is probably telling him that at points in life, he probably has to make his own decisions instead of relying on others. (the heroes’ blockbuster focused on that)

Also if you look at them based on their Heroes’ Oath colours, its ‘Vires acquirit eundo’ for Meredes, ‘Magna vis est, magnus officium’ for EunWol, ‘Faber est suae quisque fortunae’ for Luminous, ‘Semper te recordor’ for Aran, ‘Dum vita est, spes est’ for Evan, and ‘Nil desperandum’ for Phantom.

    • Anonymous

If you connect in this order: Aran, Mercedes, Eunwol, Evan, Phantom, Luminous the wing of the symbol get bigger.

I have no idea why they keep focusing on the stupid beholder =.=”’
Dark knight used to be dragon knight with a lot of dragon-styled skills

      December 28, 2016 at 7:08 am

No, this isn’t s nerf please understand the language you’re using. A nerf is when you make a prior skill worse. Drks never had this skill before, no class has had any of these.

The word you are looking for is “shafted” because the new skill is good, but not as good when compared to many other classes getting an amazing new skill.

I’m really glad that nexon kept their promise of providing more 5th job content. Despite what they said, iwas sure what was out was it, and was ready to dub the 5th job a huge disappointment.

I don’t remember when they actually promised something and didn’t give it. It’s just that it usually takes time.

Hi Max. Not sure if you play i/l. For the Freezing and Frost Effect. Does it mean more dmg for lightning att, but at the same time, the freeze stack will be deceased per hit? It does not look like a buff coz the stack reduce after every attack. I am forced to cast frozen orb much more often than before..

Previously I could cast 1 frozen orb then the 5 stacks buff could persist up to 8sec after its last hit. I could freely spam my chain lightning. Now they basically make i/l more busy.. I am not sure it is buff or nerf in overall output. Especially when I use my hyper Lightning Sphere. the stack could be reduced down to 0 instantly.

    • Marko
      December 17, 2016 at 4:21 am

The increased lightning dmg value seem same as before. just the stack now can decrease. look like a nerf to me.

ok just found a video. not that bad.

    • Max

Yeah its the same damage boost but now using a lightning attack will decrease the # of stacks by 1.

    Mean?

Curious on why they nerfed Uncountable Arrow
Is Arrow Rain too OP when mobbing?

    • Max
      December 18, 2016 at 12:10 am

I think its because some people did some math and spamming Uncountable Arrow was actually stronger than using Hurricane due to Armor Break or something.

    December 18, 2016 at 12:21 am

Hmm… the Phantom changes are interesting. Crosscut Chain is mostly passive damage now so they won’t get much out of it but they get their own passive damage boost. I can understand why they changed it. With it being about half of Phantom’s damage meant that they were essentially forced to steal it to have decent damage. Too bad it’s a nerf for, both, DKs and Phantoms, though. Plus, there aren’t a lot of choices for 3rd job stolen skills so it’s not like this will change much.

I absolutely adore the Demon Slayer skills. Mastema is as adorable as always and Jormungand is easily the best looking skill in the entire game.

On an different note; Night Lord’s Spread Throw has the same stats at Lv1 and Lv25? Or was that a typo?

    • Some Faggot
      December 18, 2016 at 12:26 am

Oh, incidentally, Demon is technically part of the resistance. Does that mean he gets the resistance shared skill in addition to the Mastema one?

      • Max
        December 18, 2016 at 12:39 am

I am pretty sure Resistance Line Infantry is only for the 4 ‘base’ Resistance.

Itll be the same, since phantoms get 45% final damage passively. The cross surge going to 20% means they wont need to maintain high hp to get max damage output.

  38. Anonymous
    December 18, 2016 at 2:09 am

Ohh! The Hero’s new skill, Combo Death Fault looks good! Although, I have a few questions, does the used up 5 Combo Count also include the:

+2% Final Damage per Combo Count from Hyper Skill passive?
+2% Boss Damage per Combo Count from Hyper Skill passive?

Also, does the skill, Blitz Shield, decrease damage from HP% attacks like Magnus’ meteors as well?

    • Max
      December 18, 2016 at 11:59 am

Sorry, not sure about that! I don’t have a Hero either 😦
I don’t believe it does because skills that do tend to mention that they reduce damage taken from % HP attacks in the description.

I’m not sure I understand Unstable Memorize properly…does it just take you out of your current skill to possibly throw a 1st job skill out? Can you unlearn all 1st and 2nd job skills with an SP reset to only get useful skills from it?

    • Max
      December 18, 2016 at 12:00 pm

Yeah it can randomly use any 1st~4th job skill, however I looked into the skill data and saw that each skill has a different rate of appearing so its more skewed to use 4th job skills. You probably could do that since the description mentions it doesn’t use unlearned skills.

      • Anonymous
        December 21, 2016 at 7:46 am

So it takes the actual skill time to use the skill? Like the full time to fire off a slower skill like Frozen Orb, preventing other skills from being used?

Is it a typo in your text Max, or did they just…. not lower the cooldown on Dark Spear?

Current live cooldown is 10 seconds on both GMS and KMS

10 seconds –> 10 seconds (and the patch notes says the cooldown was supposed to be lowered in addition to the damage being cut a bit)

Hoping it drops to something like 6 or so seconds.

    • Max
      December 18, 2016 at 5:13 pm

It has a 12 second CD on KMS

Hey Max, do you have any more information on Dark Knight’s skill ‘Cross Over Chain’?
If phantoms don’t get the 50% final damage from its passive effect, then they’ll be losing a lot more than they gain from their buff.
…And they’re already one of the weaker jobs according to the KMS DPS charts (although not completely accurate and may vary)

    • Max
      December 19, 2016 at 11:22 am

What do you mean any more information? Phantoms don’t get passive effects of their stolen skills so its probably gonna be better to take some other skill now.

I think its a quite nice of them to place a lower cooldown on that 5th job skill. The skill seems more suitable for bossing than for training. The card bounces to random enemies across the map and attacks 1 time and activates carte noir.

As a training aspect it seems underwhelming.

If it had an after image or else that the path that the card is going damages some other enemies before hitting its main target, it would be decent at least to use for some training. I also find that the explosion range is quite low for the assumed amount of 10 targets its supposed to hit, with its current range it seems that it could hit at least 4-5 enemies the mostly.

    • Max
      December 20, 2016 at 1:20 am

From videos I’ve seen, it looks like you can only use buffs on Sylvidia. The only attacks you can use are the two rush attacks it has. You can look at some videos on YouTube by searching ‘메르 5차 실피디아’.

      • Anonymous
        December 24, 2016 at 8:21 am

Too bad there isn’t a rush down, probably because going down would just hit the platform anyways. However at first I thought it was like Evan’s Dragon master hyper, which could fly around the map and such, the only difference being that this skill rushes around the map.
