KMS ver. 1.2.398 – MapleStory NEXT: 3rd & 4th Mastery Cores!
The first patch of the MapleStory winter update, NEXT, has been released! The main attraction is the completion of Mastery Cores with the 3rd and 4th Cores being added at the same time, but there’s also a ton of game changes and improvements like cross world Auction House/Meso Market, Genesis Weapon Liberation changes, and the Skill Sequence system which lets you buff up with a single key!
The main event for the next two months is the Dawn Star Banquet, a New Year’s banquet held at Darmoor’s royal villa in Arboris where many of the Apostles have gathered. Together with Primacy, you infiltrate the banquet to find more information on your enemies.
The next official server patch will be on January 16, so expect a test world update on January 9, where we will learn more about the new Union Champion system.

As announced previously, the second test world patch was released on Thursday, featuring a lot of the game improvements mentioned at the showcase as well as some further skill changes. All of this will be heading to the live server next week!
Read more…KMS ver. 1.2.396 – Azmoth Canyon & MapleStory X Dave the Diver!
The third fall update, featuring the new roguelike content that provides mesos, Azmoth Canyon, as well as the Dave the Diver collaboration has been released! The Dave the Diver event is really extensive and actually very fun! Might even have to pick up the real game after this.
Next month will be the Demon Slayer collaboration, which was already released in JMS, and it should be mostly the same here. But I’m hoping they have some actual content to go along with it.

The last pieces of content (except for the Demon Slayer collaboration next month) that they announced in the Milestone showcase have been released to the test server! The new Azmoth Canyon is a sort of roguelike that rewards Azmoth Coins (which can be traded for some enhancement items) and Maple Gold Coins (mesos). The other big part of this patch is the Dave the Diver collaboration, which is quite extensive and basically lets you play Dave the Diver in MapleStory!

The second Fall update has been released to the official servers. This patch contains the level 290 area Tallahart, as well as very drastic skill balancing (with some additional changes from the test server) and various QoL improvements!
Next month, we’re going to get Asmos Canyon, which we don’t know much about. In the Milestone showcase, they said it would be a new type of system that rewards enhancement items equivalent to mesos or something like that, which is pretty vague.
