KMS ver. 1.2.402 – Skill/UI Changes & MapleStory’s 22nd Anniversary: Maple University!
The MapleStory’s 22nd Anniversary: Maple University event has begun! It’s honestly a little barebones but Changseop said to look forward to the second half in May as they will be adding more. Of course, this patch contains the skill balancing (with additional changes from KMST), the UI reorganization, the new Maple Home system, the updated MVP system, and more.
The next live server patch is on May 21 so we can expect a KMST patch on May 14. They said in the Maple Now that it wouldn’t be as big as this patch, but I’m sure it will still have some interesting content.
Read more…KMST ver. 1.2.186 – Huge Skill Changes and UI Reorganization!
Following up on the March update that surprised everyone with the Star Force reorganization, Director Changseop has followed it up with another huge off season patch (and a Maple Now stream like usual). This time, it was a full skill balancing that changes all classes to 2 minute cycles and updating most of the game’s UIs! It also includes the Maple Home system (KMS’ version of the overseas My Home system) which I’ve been asking for for so many years and a big update to the MVP system.
This patch will be coming to the official server next week which could bring some additional changes. It starts off the MapleStory 22nd anniversary: Maple University, and I’ll cover that event in the next post.
Read more…KMS ver. 1.2.401 – MapleStory NEXT: Destiny Weapon & Star Force Reorganization!
The fourth and final patch of the MapleStory NEXT update has been released, featuring the new Destiny Weapon system as well as a big update to the Star Force system (mainly being able to reach 30 stars)! Everything basically came as-is from the test server, except for a bit of changes to the values of the Adversary’s Resolve drops from bosses for the Destiny Weapon missions.
Next month is MapleStory’s 22nd anniversary, the live server patch will be on April 17 and the test server patch will probably be on April 10. It’s also going to be the first patch with brand new content that wasn’t covered by the NEXT showcase.

This test server patch was kinda nuts considering the only thing we knew was going to be included was the Destiny Weapon and it ended up having huge updates to the overall Star Force progression system lol. Changseop explained the update in more detail in his Maple Now stream.
We’ll see if there are any changes when this comes to the official server next week!
Read more…KMS ver. 1.2.398 – MapleStory NEXT: 3rd & 4th Mastery Cores!
The first patch of the MapleStory winter update, NEXT, has been released! The main attraction is the completion of Mastery Cores with the 3rd and 4th Cores being added at the same time, but there’s also a ton of game changes and improvements like cross world Auction House/Meso Market, Genesis Weapon Liberation changes, and the Skill Sequence system which lets you buff up with a single key!
The main event for the next two months is the Dawn Star Banquet, a New Year’s banquet held at Darmoor’s royal villa in Arboris where many of the Apostles have gathered. Together with Primacy, you infiltrate the banquet to find more information on your enemies.
The next official server patch will be on January 16, so expect a test world update on January 9, where we will learn more about the new Union Champion system.
