KMS ver. 1.2.397 – MapleStory X Demon Slayer!

November 22, 2024 12 comments

KMS’ first anime collab (unless you count Frozen which they did back in 2014), MapleStory X Demon Slayer, has been released! The main event is being able to play as Tanjiro, a limited-time job! You can also train with Zenitsu and Inosuke, and of course, tons and tons of cosmetics. I’m gonna end up buying everything because of my FOMO…

The schedule looking forward is the showcase pre-stream on December 5 (probably not much if any news there), MapleCon from December 6-8, and the Winter update NEXT showcase on December 7! Usually they open up KMST soon after the showcase, and the first patch of the Winter update on the official server will be on December 19.

MapleStory Next, MapleCon & KMST ver. 1.2.180 – Demon Slayer Collaboration

November 14, 2024 11 comments

The previously announced Demon Slayer collab has been released in the test server, and it’s slightly different than the version that JMS got. There’s such little non-event content in this patch that I barely had anything to translate for this post 😛

While the actual KMST patch was a bit disappointing (albeit expected), there’s some exciting news!

First off, the showcase for the MapleStory winter update, MapleStory Next, will take place on December 7! In addition, the MapleCon will take place that same weekend, over 3 days. This is a legit convention at a hall with multiple booths, prizes, and merchandise which looks very very cool!

KMS ver. 1.2.395- Tomb of the Gods, Tallahart & Skill Balancing!

September 12, 2024 39 comments

The second Fall update has been released to the official servers. This patch contains the level 290 area Tallahart, as well as very drastic skill balancing (with some additional changes from the test server) and various QoL improvements!

Next month, we’re going to get Asmos Canyon, which we don’t know much about. In the Milestone showcase, they said it would be a new type of system that rewards enhancement items equivalent to mesos or something like that, which is pretty vague.

KMST ver. 1.2.178 – Tallahart & the Long Awaited Balance Patch!

September 9, 2024 50 comments

Last Wednesday, the test server was updated with the new level 290 area Tallaheart and much more importantly, the first real balance patch since before New Age, which was way back in June 2023, so it’s been almost 1.5 years! (if you don’t include 6th job and the new Mastery Cores) Changseop also did a Maple Now stream talking about their plans for balance going forward.

I saw that some people were wondering why my post was later than it usually is, and it’s actually because my apartment got flooded the day after the patch 😭 Woke up excited about the Wind Breaker buffs and then a city pipe burst… Thankfully not too much was ruined but I still can’t go home until they fix it, so I’ve just been working on this in pieces in my free time on my laptop. Anyways, life goes on, they add more QoL, a new high level area people will complain is too high level, Bishop support gets nerfed… wait what?!

2024 MapleStory Summer Showcase- Milestone Update Summary!

June 8, 2024 22 comments

Last night, the 2024 MapleStory summer showcase took place, where they detailed the things that will be added in the Milestone update over the next few months as well as talked a little bit about other content up until November of this year!

The in-game map you could go to was also pretty nice as it gave experience passively as you were inside (I got 2% in total at level 286!) and there were various quiz events that each rewarded 5 VIP Boosters and 5 Sol Erda Fragments if you got the answer right.

After the showcase, the test server went up with the first iteration of the (spoilers) Aran and Eunwol remaster. The next test patch is going to be on the 13th so they will probably make more changes and add the corresponding events in that one. I wanted to get this one out as soon as possible so expect another post for KMST in a day or two!
